Tell the clan but don't step down, if we're at war then the clan needs a medicine cat. Instead I would propose speeding up the training of a new medicine cat and promising to step down once we had a new one. As for the kits, we're keeping them, no way we can let our enemy get more added to their ranks

I had a hunch someone would pick abandonment, I just didn't think it would be this soon.

Given that I would probably be forced out of my position anyway and my kits would be in danger for being half-Clan (and possibly my own safety would be jeopardized as well), I would abandon my Clan altogether without a word. When I eventually have my kits, I will choose what to do with them - either abandon them to die in the forest, or leave them by a friendly Twoleg's nest if I can find them. They would be a relic of my past I would no longer want to admit to. Regarding my own fate, I would choose to live either as a kittypet or a loner.
Regarding the fate of my Clan, I would assume that StarClan would simply train another cat whenever they were ready, or if they were generous, a medicine cat from another Clan would assist in such affairs. If a leader could not trust my cowardice and selfishness to be a medicine cat, they would certainly not allow me to train another. My presence would probably just escalate tensions even further anyway.

So, not only did I break the oath, but it was also with someone we're at war with? Yikes, I wouldn't trust someone so careless and selfish to be the medicine cat of a whole clan, especially when they have loyalties to other clans. I mean, how do my clanmates know I'm not going to poison one of them in favor of the other clan, since I clearly have loyalties to them? I mean, I cared more about them than my duty and the promise I made to StarClan when I took the medicine cat oath. That being said, I'd tell my leader, because I'm a coward, and wouldn't want my clanmates turning on me or something. Then, I would offer to train a new medicine cat, act like I found the kits when they arrive, and then I'd Hollyleaf it out of there like at the end of Power of Three. However, I wouldn't want to leave my kits, so maybe I'd just tell my leader, train a cat, and Hollyleaf if out of there before they're born.

Now this is making me wonder what a leader might do under these circumstances, assuming they found out the truth on all fronts.

"Hey, look at these random kits I found out in the forest! They're so cute, can I keep them? They're totally not mine, by the way. Why are you looking at me like that?"

First of all, I'd wonder how the absolute heck I ended up like this. Then I'd probably pretend I found the kits. Or leave them somewhere in my Clan's territory and direct someone towards that general area, maybe to collect herbs, then act all surprised when they come back with my kits. Though that might be tough if my mate wants the kits. And also 𝓣𝓲𝓷𝓾𝓿𝓲𝓮𝓵, when you said "parent and leader' in the scenario, did you mean "your parent and your leader" or "your parent, who is also your leader"? Because if it's the latter they might be much more willing to keep my secret.

i'd be honest about it, and tell them what's what. they need me to be their only medicine cat. i'd ask for my leader and my mate's leader to meet and work out a deal. i give my mate's clan the kits to nurse, but i get visitation every couple of days or so, so the kits will know from the beginning i'm their birth mother. and once they're almost apprentice age, they can decide where they want to be trained.
my ideal scenerio is kinda unlikely, but it's what i would want to demand from everyone.

She is going to fast train a new medicine cat immediately and step down afterwards. As for the kits, we'll keep them. The clan might not like outsiders but they'll like our enemy having more kits to their name even less.

I would hold a meeting with the other clan, I know they're our rivals, but I think they deserve to be involved in this as well. Then, I would propose a challenge, if we win, then we get the father in our clan, and their medicine cat has to train a new one for us, and with no funny business. However, if they win, then they can decide the fates of everyone, just as long as no one gets harmed. As for the kits, I think they should have a choice on where they want to go when they're old enough to understand, and if any of my clanmates have a problem with it, then they know where the road is, it's not the fault of the kits that their parents don't know how to follow the code, and that they'd get with someone from a clan we're at war with in the first place. As for my daughter, if we win, I won't banish her, but I will make her step down, as her head is obviously not in it, and probably never was, I'm not risking the lives of my clannmates.

Boy, that's a lot of listed options.
Here's the thing. If she just... goes public with the information, my paws are basically tied. I HAVE to punish her somehow, otherwise other cats (and potentially other Clans) start questioning my authority. So I would demote her from being a medicine cat, and get another Clan's MC (not the one we're at war with) to train the next one. MC switches like this actually happen quite a bit throughout the series (Cloudberry, Yellowfang, Leafpool), so it's not unheard of.
To clarify-- I wouldn't prevent her from healing or helping injured cats. Medical assisting is just fine. She just can't be in a position of authority, and that includes both the official MC position and mentorship.
If she comes to me in private, so she's only told me, then I'm not punishing her. I'd help her keep the secret in any way I could.
As for the kits, we keep them no matter what. If the mother is still alive, kits should be raised in their mother's Clan, regardless of their bloodline. Plus, if she's demoted immediately, she can raise her kits as a normal warrior queen would.

Scenario 9: I'd tell the truth, but not step down. It would be nonsensical and cat deaths would be on my paws if I do. However, I will start training a new medicine cat and probably step down once they're fully ready to take over.
Scenario 10: And pretty much the same as the other one, I'd have her step down after a new medicine cat is trained, but keep the kits. There's no way I'm tossing out perfectly healthy kits, and into the paws of the enemy no less. They don't deserve to be judged because of their parent's mistakes.

Even though I know it won't work out, I'll still give it a shot because I hate "what ifs" and regrets. However, I also hate leading people on, because I know that they're just going to get hurt in the long run, but if I give them a shot, then they can't say "But if you had just given me a chance.." So, I think I will give them a chance, maybe like a week or so before breaking it off? Who knows? Maybe some miracle will happen and it'll end up working out lol. Btw, scenario 11 is in the spoiler thread with the past scenarios.

Btw, scenario 11 is in the spoiler thread with the past scenarios. Thanks! I didn't even notice! You're welcome! I do stuff like that a lot sometimes, mostly it's just misspelling of words, but there have been times when I've completely left out a chunk of what I was going to say, because I thought it in my head, but I forgot to write it down lol. The worst that has happened with that though, is a slight miscommunication that was quickly resolved.

Scenario #11 - I'd tell my friends that it's nice that they're trying to encourage me, but it's not what I need right now. I'd tell the friend who has a crush on me that I need time to get through things before jumping into a relationship again.

If I genuinely don't have ANY feelings for the admirer, then I'd tell them and my friends that I'm not interested. Pretty simple. Also, 𝓣𝓲𝓷𝓾𝓿𝓲𝓮𝓵 , when you make the post saying "next one up!" could you copy-paste the new scenario into that post as well? It's a bit tedious having to click back and forth between the scenario and the replies.

Next one: Scenario 12: Ever since you were apprentices together, you've felt like your best friend has outshined you in everything, whether it ne hunting or fighting or just general popularity within the Clan itself. Recently, they've also become mates with a cat you yourself also had feelings for and there's talk of them becoming deputy one day.
One night, you're visited by someone who you initially think is a StarClan cat, except they don't have stars in their fur like you thought they would. But they seem nice, even sympathetic to your plight, and they promise to help you be just as good—if not better—than your best friend.
Do you accept?

Sure, why not accept help? Now when the Starclan cat starts to take me to a place where cats are screaming all the time and telling me to listen to grinning lunatics, that's the point where I gotta say no. But if they were subtle about it and not as glaringly in your face as 99% of DF mentors, sure!

I'm generally a pretty jealous person and always try to be better than everyone else. I try not to, but I can't help it. So I'd definitely accept, even though rejecting the offer would definitely be the better choice…
