Humans are LESS sexually dimorphic than cats. As you can see, feral cat males are about 30-50% heavier than cat females. If you look at the difference in humans however, the difference in weight is usually less than 20%, hovering around 15% or so. Body mass is generally a predictor of strength since more mass equals more muscle, and it makes sense to be this way in cats too, because cat males are evolutionarily pressured into battling each other for territory and defending it. Humans, by comparison, have actively evolved away from fighting to settle disputes, with our canines atrophying and our muscles being weaker pound for pound than the other great apes. Sexual dimorphism doesn't seem to exist/matter in Warriors though. Yes, but the video seems to be treating it like it does exist with the way Squirrelflight in this continuity is apparently capable of overpowering Ashfur in the fire scene. The video appeared to be making the implication that some of Squirrelflight's problems stem from physical weakness due to not being a tom and if she had been, she would have been able to brute force her way through some of them. I agree that in Warriors proper, it's not a concern.

She had to fight him due to lack of options, yes, but I don't think the encounter would have gone well for her. Even accounting for sexual dimorphism, she was nearly dead merely days ago. I imagine certainly that regardless, she would still do so if she had no other choice, I just do not think that sexual dimorphism being on her side is going to be enough in this case. How important is sexual dimorphism in cats anyway, with regards of how it affects their fighting ability? It's probably not exactly the same as it is in humans. Just a heads up, but sexual dimorphism in human is actually not really that prominent like people think it is *anthropology minor who learned that during her biological anthropology class*

I said it wasn't particularly prominent, not that it didn't exist.

I agree that in Warriors proper, it's not a concern. We can also see this when female Ashfur is crying when Squirrelflight rejects her, when in canon male Ashfur is bristling with anger and desperation, looking like that just because Ashfur is female, he's more emotionally weak/sensitive. Squirrelflight in canon also tries to make peace, but this male Squirrelflight seens to just walk away like nothing.

Now they’re going over this person ah ouch this one. i don't encourage harassment nor do i see this as transphobic. but i see many other issues with this pmv that weren't addressed in the apology
the spoiler will be for just... a general content warning for talkin about abuse, not any spoilers
i just don't like the fact that this pmv says that squirrelflight can't be abused/fight through the abuse if she was a guy. it feels... very distasteful to male abuse victims who are already treated as a joke or thought of to not exist. I agree with you completely. I think that somethings would change but Bramble would still be toxic even as a she cat.
