"Aw, she'll never know if you eat a cookie, right?" Frankie laughed, then her eyes widened at Silas's plate. "Wow, okay, Silas! You and I are definitely gonna be besties." She stepped into the line for the pasta, calling back over her shoulder as she did so. "I'll meet you two back at the table!"

Cocking his head to one side, Preston snapped another selfie in the full-length mirror on the wall. He scrutinized the screen a moment before nodding curtly and sliding the device into the pocket of his black straight-legged slacks. "Eighth time's the charm!" he said in a sing-song voice, stepping closer to the mirror to inspect his face. The shimmery gold shadow he'd put at the outer corners of his lids made his pale eyes pop, and the highlight he'd applied made his cheekbones looked even more elegant than normal. His lashes were their natural white; he always thought they were too lovely to cover with mascara - that, and he was afraid he'd accidentally stain them. Fluffing his white hair with slender fingertips, he let out a dreamy sigh and blew himself a kiss. "Preston Weiss, you beautiful bastard," he said, smoothing down his cream dress shirt, undoing another button so it was open to just below his sternum. "You've done it again." Taking his black blazer from the hook on the back of the restroom door, he draped it around his shoulders, connecting the lapels with a gold collar chain. He placed a black flat-brim hat on his head (tilted oh-so-perfectly to show off the front of his styled hair, of course) and perched circular sunglasses on his nose. Leaving the single-occupant bathroom and exiting the building, he emerged into the bright sun on campus. Spotting a certain somebody near a tree, he strode confidently over (humbly ignoring the awestruck gazes of other students, thank you very much). "Oh, Evvy!" he said, his baritone voice carrying over the quad.
((oh yeah, it's preston time babey (ノ^ヮ^)ノ*:・゚✧ )) (((he's extra extra)))

Delilah glanced once towards the dessert bar again with a sigh before heading for the grilled chicken line, perhaps she would sneak in just one cookie after they ate.
Silas laughed heading back towards their table with his tacos, searching for anything else he wanted to try on the way back. After placing his plate down, he quickly went over to the soups he had spotted on the way back, eye's lighting up at the sight of baked potato soup "Oh my favorite." he whispered under his breath before grabbing a large bowl of it.

Evan sighed, pressing himself further against the tree as he heard Preston's voice, he hated seeing his cousin right after he got out of nursing check-offs. He liked to look good too, and his nursing polo, khaki pants and horrendously clunky white shoes were not doing him any favors. "Hi Pres" he grumbled lightly, giving his cousin a once-over. "Nice hat."

"Thank you," Preston said, tucking a stray lock of hair away behind his ear. "Did your check-off go all right? I want an excuse to go shopping. I saw this divine pair of oxfords last weekend that I've been dreaming about." To himself, he added, And not to mention you deserve something nice, too, Evan.
Frankie returned to the table with her bowl of pasta. She'd gotten it with sautéed garlic, onion, and red bell pepper, with some spinach and a cream sauce. She eagerly dug in, glancing up as Silas came back with his bowl of steaming soup.

Evan nodded "Well enough, didn't get a 100% but I didn't fail so that's all that matters." Leaning over, he grabbed his bag before standing up. "I will go shopping with you, but you know I have to go change first. I will not be caught dead out shopping in this outfit. Are you coming with me to my dorm?"
Silas looked over Frankie's shoulder at her pasta, "Oh why does everything look good here?" he complained lightly, "I am already eating a dysfunctional meal of soup and tacos, I can't add pasta too!"
Delilah joined them a few moments later, one plate full of grilled chicken, peas and mashed potatoes and another small plate piled high with a caesar salad. She reached into her bag, pulling out a bottle of hand sanitizer. She first got some for herself before offering it up to the other two with a raise of her eyebrows.

"Aw, but I think you just look so cute!" Preston teased, pinching his younger cousin's cheek lightly. Putting his hands into his pockets before he got slapped, he nodded. "Of course I am; someone has to make sure you aren't living in a dump, right?" he added with a smirk.
Frankie gratefully took some, rubbing it between her hands as she swallowed a mouthful of her meal. Turning to Silas, she said, "Why not? Embrace the chaos!" she cheered lightly. "We're adults now, so there's no. Rules." she grinned wide before playfully elbowing Silas's ribs and taking a way-too-big bite of her lunch.

Evan swatted Preston's hands away, grumbling to himself as they headed in the direction of their dorm. "You know I like to clean, I most certainly do not live in a dump. Plus, we just moved back in, how would it be in such disarray already? Unless you're speaking from experience?" he replied, sticking his tongue out at Preston.
Silas puffed out a breath as Frankie elbowed him a little too hard in the ribs, but he smiled nonetheless before taking a bite of his tacoes. "Oh Del, these are so good, better than that taco place by your house."
Delilah's eyes widened, "Really? I can't believe it. You love Taco Queen more than anything."

Preston placed a palm to his chest in fake offense. "Evan! I'm hurt that you could think someone as perfect as I could ever!" After a pause, he let out a small chuckle. "Just kidding! You know I'm a walking disaster. I was only asking because I know how hard your nursing stuff is." Frankie gaped. " What?!" she said, maybe a little too loudly. "You guys have had Taco Queen? I'm so jealous!"

Evan shrugged, "It is, but I know how to handle it, every major is hard." he stated, readjusting his nurse pack on his shoulder to open his door. Stepping inside he let out a small sigh, when he noticed his roommate left a few dishes on their desk and a pile of clothes at the foot of their bed. "Well... my side's not a mess anyway." Placing his stuff down on his neatly made bed, he turned to his closet contemplating what type of outfit he was going to wear today. "Pres, what are we thinking today?" he murmured, stepping back to allow his cousin a full view of his options. The closet ranged from a large variety of black clothing to neons with skinny jeans, button-ups, a few crop tops and several skirts shoved haphazardly in the back.
Delilah's eyes flickered around her at Frankie's too loud tone, looking down at the table when she noticed several other people staring at their table.
Silas unbothered by the noise nodded eagerly, "Yeah! Delilah and I used to go there with my older brother a lot when we were younger, then when we got our licenses I started taking my younger siblings there too. It's like a family tradition to go on the first Friday of the month." he said with a smile. It was one of the good memories he had of his family, considering they had been out of the watchful and pressing eyes of his parents.

It was one of the good memories he had of his family, considering they had been out of the watchful and pressing eyes of his parents. "Darling, I am so glad you asked," the taller man said. Stepping up to the wardrobe, he cocked his hip and held a finger to his bottom lip as he surveyed their options. Then, with a smirk and a snap if his slender fingers, he leaned into the wardrobe and began to shuffle around. "These," he said, holding a pair of distressed black skinny jeans over his shoulder without looking. "Cuffed, with those fishnet tights I got you underneath. Wear some good socks, too, maybe the ones that say 'not interested' on the ankles?" Leaning further in (stooping to get his lanky frame in there), Preston then pulled a pair of Oxford Docs from the floor of the wardrobe, then stood somewhat to yank a crumpled tee from the back. Turning, he shot Evan a smile as he shook out the shirt. It was a black shirt that had faded to a dark grey, the bottom sporting a ragged edge and some tasteful-looking holes. On the front was the logo of some nondescript rock band. "And this!" he said cheerily. "Oh, and can I do your makeup? You've just got the most perfect face!" Frankie shook her head with a smile, shoving another bite of pasta into her mouth before leaning back. "Count me down as greener than a frog," she said. "I'm envious! I'm really excited that I can try those kinds of places now!" She looked at Delilah, almost pleading with the other girl. "I know you said you're trying to be, like, healthy for your sports and all that, but do you think the three of us could go sometime?" With her big, sincere blue eyes blinking up at Delilah, she looked like a kid begging for candy.

Evan looked over the outfit with a smile, "I see you're going for the extra emo look today for me." he joked lightly as he grabbed the clothes and started to change. "And yeah, you can do my makeup, but only if it matches the outfit. Vintage band shirt with vibrant eye-shadow isn't going to cut it today. I'm thinking more just... hmmm, thick smudged black eyeliner of course and I guess a light highlight or something."
Delilah shrugged, "I'm a sucker for taco queen what can I say. We can drive down there on a weekend. I know it's not far away, but it's easier that way. Maybe Sil and I can show you around where we grew up a little too."
Silas nodded, "Delly! We can show her our spot at the park. She'd love it, you know? The one near the pond."
Delilah gave her cousin a pointed look as he used her -non-approved nickname- but nodded all the same. "She would you're right. There's a pond at the park that has a bunch of wildlife there, it's kinda hidden away in the back of the park so only the locals know about it."

"Always so demanding, baby cousin," Preston sighed dramatically, ignoring their whopping age gap of one year. He went over to Evan's desk and rummaged through his drawers before pulling out the small makeup bag. He withdrew some pencil eyeliner, highlighter, a BB cushion, a clean makeup sponge, and a small eyeshadow palette. He also pulled out an eyeshadow brush, a clear lip gloss, and some mascara. Clapping his hands together, he stood straight and pulled Evan's desk chair away from the table. "Okay!" he said. "Take a seat and let ol' Pres get to work, hm?"
Frankie's eyes grew round and her grin grew wider. "Ahh! That sounds so fun!" she cheered, her hands drumming quickly on the table. "Are there, um, you know," she began, playing with her fingers and looking away bashfully as she asked. "Are there frogs?"
((my bby Frankie! she wants so badly to have friends but just can't contain her special interests))

Evan hummed quietly, plopping down on the edge of his bed. He scooted back, and turned to the side, patting the empty space beside him. "So what all is on the plan for today, anything you're looking for specifically?" he asked casually, leaning forward on his knees.
Delilah's mouth thinned as she looked at Silas. She sighed after a moment, taking another bite of her food and avoiding eye contact with Frankie.
Silas nodded slowly, "Uhh I think so? I've never really looked specifically for frogs before, but there's fish and stuff so I wouldn't see why there wouldn't be frogs too."

"Mmm, not really," Preston hummed, starting on Evan's makeup. "Oh! I did need to get some more pencils for my drafting class, so I'll probably want to stop by the craft store." Finished with the base layer, he began to build eyeshadow in natural shades before moving onto the eyeliner. He then handed a small mirror and the mascara to his cousin. "Here, do your mascara; I'm not trying to poke your eye."
Frankie seemed to perk up immediately, smiling. "OH! A-ah, um, cool. Yeah, cool!" she finished up her food then, seeming relaxed.

Evan took the mirror and placed it on the bed while he uncapped the tube, taking the mirror back into his hand he applied a light layer of mascara on his top lashes. Blinking a couple times he sighed, "Maybe we can stop by Ulta or something too, this mascara is clumpy and it wasn't when I bought it. Probably needs replacing."
Delilah took a last bite of her salad before sitting back in her chair, seemingly ignoring the frog conversation. "Gotta admit, that food was pretty good."
Silas nodded in agreement, "Yeah, I wouldn't mind eating here all the time, although I'm not sure we have much of a choice as freshman. I'll probably regret saying that halfway through the year."

Preston reapplied his own lipgloss without a mirror, smacking his lips together a few times. "Sure," he said. "I need more masks anyway."
Shrugging, Frankie stacked her dishes to carry to the conveyor taking them to the dishwashers. "At least there's lots of options, right?" she said before standing.

"They do have the best masks, don't they." Evan shoved his nursing uniform in the laundry basket and grabbed his backpack, dropping his keys, chapstick and wallet inside. "Alright, I think I'm ready to go. Let's get this shopping spree started!"
Delilah picked at the remaining pieces of lettuce on her plate with a sigh, "I'm probably going to get real sick of salads. Maybe I can talk to my coach and see if she has any recommendations for me to eat here. She's gotta know their food right?"
Silas shrugged, mouth full of the last bit of his tacos.

"Hell yeah!" Preston led the way to the student parking lot, where his car was. He climbed inside and put the top down, letting the breeze tousle his hair.
"Mmm, probably!" Frankie shrugged. "But don't miss out on the dessert bar, it looks awesome!"

Evan dropped into the passenger seat, letting his bag hit the floor with a thud. He eyed Preston wondering what music his cousin was going to subject him to today. "You got any shifts at Hailstorm's coming up? I don't remember you being there very often recently."
Delilah slid a lone crouton around with her fork with a sigh, "Well, if both of you go over there and look I will come with you. One thing shouldn't do that much harm." She sounded like she was working harder to convince herself than anyone.
Silas stacked his empty plates before craning his head to look over at the desserts, "Well you already know I'm going to be al over those lemon bars over there so I won't be stopping you."

Preston tapped at the screen on the dash for a moment, before lifting one shoulder in a shrug. "You pick the music today," he said. "And yeah, I finished up my internship with that designer in New York last week, so it's back to the grind for me!" He slowed down as they approached a red light. "I'll be there this weekend; we're doing College Karaoke night again, so that'll be a blast!"
Frankie grinned widely, setting her dishes on the conveyor and loping towards the desserts. "Girl, if you weren't meant to indulge then why are they so yummy?" she confidently picked up a cookie with her bare hands, quickly realizing it had just come from the oven and was burning her fingertips. "Hot hot hot!" she said. In a panic, she shoved it in her mouth, promptly burning her tongue. She whimpered and hopped from foot to foot, fanning her face as she chewed as quickly as possible before swallowing. Panting exaggeratedly, she sheepishly eyed the two new friends she'd just mortified herself in front of. Oh dear.
"Um," she said, her voice a touch squeaky. "The cookies are hot."

Evan pulled out his phone, connecting the car to his Bluetooth and put on his spotify playlist. Relaxing back in the chair with a small smile as a Clairo song filled the background. "Oh I love karaoke nights, I'll have to see how much studying I have to do and maybe I can stop by for a little bit. Do you ever go up and sing? Or are you stuck behind the bar?"
Delilah watched Frankie's display with wide eyes, letting out a small sigh as she noticed several other students staring at them. Turning away from Frankie and Silas, she wandered over to the other end of the dessert bar, taking in the puddings and slightly healthier fruit cups.
Silas hurried to Frankie's side, placing his hand on her shoulder "Are you alright? What made you think putting it in your mouth was going to make it any cooler?" he asked in distress.

"Eh, if it's slow enough I'll hop up for a song," Preston said. He started forward as the light changed. "'Sides, no one is ever too mad once I start singing!" He flicked his hair confidently as they began speeding along the highway toward the mall.
She pushed her index fingers together shyly. "Ah, I'm okay!" she said. "And let's be honest, apparently nothing made me think that, cause I wasn't thinking!" she smiled brightly, clearly already recovered from her moment. "Anyway, what's your schedule like? Anything crazy?"
