"I promise I won't, I'll even make sure whoever I work with doesn't do anything with fish either," he said. Smiling at a her, happy to hear he had things in common with his sister. Walking next to her he thought he thought a bit. "Are you ready for the mock battle?" He had tried training when he could, but usually it resulted in failure due to not having the spells mastered yet. Part of him wanted to see if he could just save himself, and his classmates, the embarrassment of him being out on the field and being the first one out of the battle.

Imrie walked with Callan. She glanced back at all the noises going on. "Should we go and help " she asked him, turning her gaze back to the Golden Deer boy. It so far seemed that either a) the bandits have appeared or the rest of the group desolved to pure chaos. They didn't get much time to decide as a figure burst from the bushes, brandishing an axe. 

Ambrose-Forest-Bandit Bashers
Ambrose heard the whistle but thought nothing of it. As he continued on his own way to look for bandits, granted the knight wasn't trying all to hard to find any. He instead planned to watch some of the outsiders to check them out, as he had little faith in the ones in their classes doing their jobs for the mission. He looked at the horse with him with a small hum.

Elara jumped at the other's offer. "N-no I couldn't ask you to do that," she stammered frantically. "Imnsure you have more important stuff to put your focus to." She looked down to her plate. "Though...if you really are offering....I could give it a shot from time to time." She offered a shaky smile to the house leader, unable to fully match her enthusiasm for the prospect of training. Part of her didn't even know if Silke had any knowledge in the areas that Elara was working to train in.

Néo | Fishing Pond | Rieka

"Hm. It doesn't feel really lonely but then again that's how we've always lived," he mused. "Most of us feel they're not missing anything by putting pride above any other reason for helping other tribes. It's not that we can't be altruistic or something, it's just... well, I guess it's different priorities?" He wasn't used to talk about such things so directly, having kept these thoughts to himself most of the time and also having never heard other viewpoints to compare them to. He felt inclined to agree with Rieka on how it'd probably feel better to know that the other tribes are helping out of something else then just pride but at the same time the thought of allowing himself to rely on others was unsettling. It just didn't feel right to him. Trusting and depending on others in such a way seemed like too much of a gamble.
"Yeah, you're right about that. I kinda doubt you'd enjoy living in one of our tribes." He gave a goodnatured chuckle and added "Same for me though. I'd probably have a hard time really fitting in and adapting to your way of life. Guess just because we're both beastkin doesn't mean there aren't huge differences, huh?"

(Yeah. The first person he willingly interacts with without feeling the need to be a bratty little shit and this happens xD)

Néo | Fishing Pond | Rieka

"Yeah, I haven't heard much about the Kitsune and their country either." Néo hadn't really had a good opportunity to talk to Rekka so far but aside from his open fascination with human culture there wasn't much to dislike about the Kitsune. "He seems like a fun guy. I wonder if the other Kitsune are like him. If they are then Morfis must be much more lively than it looks." Granted, he had never been to Morifs or even anywhere near the border but he had heard quite a bit about it.
He gave her a suprised look at her request but then nodded. "Uh sure. It's not exactly the 'normal' way to fish here though so we'd kinda stick out," he said, glancing over at some student with a fishing rod. "But if you're okay with that then yeah, I guess I could show you. Your beastform is different from mine so you probably can't copy what I do exactly but you have to keep the same things in mind. We should also do this when there aren't too many people here," he added with a slight grin. "It's not against the rules or anything but some people would be horrified to see some large wolf- and rabbit creatures at the pond."

Vincent | Wyvern Stables | Rekka

He nodded at the mention of his classmate. "Oh, you mean her. But yes, she is much less open to interacting with humans than the rest of you," he said. "I'm surprised you are having a hard time talking with her though. I assumed she would be more comfortable around other beastkin." Maybe Megumi just didn't get along with Rekka personally but Vincent figured suggesting that wouldn't be the nicest thing to do. "A bit of a shame that she and the other Taguel here probably won't have much of an interest in taking part in this. They seem like they can run very fast too."

Callan | Forest | Imrie

"The bandits don't seem to be all in the exact same area," he said as he too glanced back. The noises seemed to come from at least two directions and it was hard to tell how many people there were but it seemed likely that some of the others had ran into the bandits. "The others can definitely handle themselves but maybe we should-" before he could get any further the sound of leaves rustling and twigs snapping interrupted his thoughts. Startled he jumped back as the bandit burst from the bushes, barely stopping himself from letting out a surprised yelp. Before the bandit could try and take advantage of their initial surprise though Callan drew his sword and took a step forward, quickly getting into a proper fighting stance. He briefly glanced at Imrie and then back at the bandit, watching him carefully to either rush in if he focused on the other student or to dodge and strike right afterwards in one swift movement if the bandit went for him instead.

Callan | Forest | Imrie, Cocky Bandit (and mean too)

Callan nodded to Imrie and rushed forward as she cast her fire spell at the bandit. As the man moved his axe in an attempt to block the fire he left himself open to the boy's attack. Using this chance Callan swung his short sword, slashing at him twice in quick succession before he jumped back and spun around so he would keep facing his opponent. He lifted the sword again as if he was trying to go in for another strike, hoping this would keep the bandit's attention on him while Imrie could now move in from the side to catch the man off guard.

Jason nodded along as she spoke, it would still be a learning experience regardless. His face paled a bit when the question got directed back to him. "No not really," he confessed to her. "I still can't hold a sword properly without it being able to get knocked out of my hands with no effort from the other person." Soemthing of which had caused for a 10 minute...yelling talk from Konstantin, and Jason almost crying by the end of it, due to the boy's lack of progress. "But I mean it's fine, I can just stick to magic for the battle maybe, that I at least have a grasp of the very basics."

Imrie watched carefully ready to cast out snother spell should it be needed. But Callan fared well with the first diversion. Tha banditbarely had time to react to the two hits, staggering back after the blows. Again, these were kids, he had tougher opponents, as he rushed in and swung the axe down at Callan. Imrie quickly gearing up, and casting fire, to give Callan any time he needed to react to doge or block.

Elara thought over what the other girl had said. "Do you thibk you could teach me some of the basics? I think that would be useful for me to know," she said, a little quickly. She knew it would be true, that she wouldn't always have a weapon, and learning even for the sake of self defense sounded like something she would need to know. She hadn't disclosed to anyone of the threats her brother, Osoric, had made, and currently she had no plan to. "If you are willing to teach," she added quickly.

At the mention of the City of Illusion he hummed in agreement. "It must be, right? I mean, really powerful mages are supposed to live there! Sounds like a fascinating place alright!" Magic was something that always seemed impressive to him. He wouldn't say it to their faces of course but he loved getting to see all the various spells being practiced by some of the students and also some of the knights and squires. Some seemed really talented but even that was probably nothing in comparison to what the people of Morfis could do.
"Hm. I guess it will take some time but that's okay," he said. "And it's no problem at all. Sure, I do have stuff to do like training and chores but it's great to have something fun to do in my spare time now!"

Vincent | Wyvern Stables | Rekka

"That is true, I suppose. It can't be easy for the Taguel to get used to living here." On one of the first days here Vincent had decided to leave Megumi alone for the first month, figuring she wouldn't get more comfortable around humans if they just kept bothering her. As for Néo, he had seen the younger Taguel around the monastery a few times and he seemed just as opposed to living here as Megumi was. At Rekka's suggestion Vincent nodded in agreement. He wasn't sure how long it would take for Megumi to warm up to others but it would definitely be better than to ask her while she still was so difficult to get along with. "We could try that, " he said. "But while we are already bringing up other beastkin, how do you think would a Wolfskin fare against you? I have only seen Rieka's beastform once but to me it looks like her kind is more built for strength than speed."

Elara smiled a bit more, growing a bit more relaxed as the conversation progressed. "I look forward to giving it a shot then," she said. "Hopefully it won't be to much trouble for you." The house leader was starting far less threatening then she had been the past few weeks, albeit most of it, Elara had spent avoiding everyone due to her worrying. "Let's try our best with it?" Was that appropriate to say?

Jason blinked at her words. "Hey don't be like that," he complained, blushing embarrassed. He had enjoyed the talk with his sister while it lasted, as it was now back to acting like they never meet. "Sides even if I do get defeated early, the rest of the Blue Lions can surely give you and your house a run for the win." He had never really tried competitive talk before, he had witnessed it, but an active participant, nope. He looked to the side to see what was being served. While he didn't really know what would come out of the mock battle, be it bragging rights or soemthing, it still got the other students hyped regardless it seemed, and a lack of knowledge also aided in Jason's lack of motivationto train, other than his inexperience.

Jason didn't mind the me of the day, it was decent, and he rather enjoyed the pasta. "Hmm..," he thought over the question. "A mot of them seem like they are good fighters and some are a lot of fun to talk to. Fion works hard, so I haven't talked much with him." He hadn't interacted with his assmates alot for similar reasoning. "I'm kind of mixed with Luca, he says things I don't get,and no one really explains them to me." He thought over his classmates. "Agnar is probably one of our better fighters." Which meant he would probably need to keep an eye more on that outsider.
