Okay, so how about we make it a bit of both? Ambrose made his round when the students were training/learning tactics in class and the professors gave the students permission to join him. So now the group arrives where the bandits are and classes are over now, giving the kids at the monastery enough freetime. Otherwise the students would have just sat around doing nothing while their classmates set off on their little quest, not interacting with anyone until then xD Also, now we can have some students envying their housemates for getting out of class early.
So yeah, the group gets started with the bandits now and classes are over at the same time.

I was never fully happy with the last art I did of Luca, so I redrew him! Made him more slutty to lol Also added his battle outfit that he 100% could get one shot in but he's willing to risk it for his beliefs (the belief that he must show off skin or he will die)
 This also shows my art improvement which is nice haha

So how are we gonna do this when Ambrose asks the Deer? We could probably treat Philomel as an npc for this and not write out the conversation between him and the knight, just having him address the class after greeting the professor and getting his permission.
He looks great, Spark, especially his battle outfit! Let's just hope it's not too distracting for his allies, that would be kind of counterproductive xD

So before we have the group set out, shouldn't we decide on how many bandits there are? Doesn't even have to be an exact number, just so we know what the Bandit Bashers have to deal with. Since it's the first month and we're not even at the mock battle yet I'd say the baddies are badly organized and not very intelligent. Shrewd and strong enough to attack peaceful merchants but also not too much of a threat for a knight and five kids. Like, the bandits might be intimidating and strong but more on the unskilled side.

Five sounds good, I think. Four dumbasses and their leader who only got that position because he's either slightly smarter than them or could easily beat them up. Or both. Either way, even he isn't too much of a challenge so the kids can easily deal with that group. But now the real question is: are any of the bandits attractive enough to justify Luca's flirting? If the slutty flirty dancer doesn't wink at at least one of them I'd be disappointed xD

And while they're taking out the bandits Imrie "accidentally" fires one of her spells at Luca xD
By the way, are they supposed to kill the bandits or just beat them up and capture them? Would be fun if some of the kids would get their first kill before the first actual mission even starts. "Congratulations, kids, you got your first taste of the trauma that comes with killing another human being. Now you probably won't have a mental breakdown when you're going on your first mission."

Well, since most students will have to kill for the first time on the first mission it's probably not too bad to let these five have that experience a bit earlier. Besides, some of them might even have dealt with something like this before. But even then they most likely won't enjoy it.
