Hehe, it's been a while since I worked on it but I'm happy to do it. Mostly I'll just copy what our characters say to the culture post and might rephrase it a bit at some later point. But either way, it's good to have that and all those other things listed. If there's anything else we need to put there just tell me, I'll either add those things to the already existing posts or make a new one for it And since we're on that topic already, do you know if any of your characters will learn magic, Spark? If so, it would be good to know which spells they can learn. On the post about magic I listed the spells that can be learned and also made a small set of rules for it, though they're mostly just a suggestion. I already know which spells my characters will learn and so far mine is the only list so if you and Ember will pick spells for your characters too at some point I'll also add them there. No need to rush though ^^
And nice xD It'll definitely be awkward for Lara because of their circumstances. Since she's from Brigid and is only even in Fódlan because Brigid's prince (Fergal MacTraynor) was sent to Adrestia, officially as a token of allegiance but secretly as a hostage to prevent Brigid from attacking again. He wasn't sent alone though, with him are his two retainers (Tess Fagan and Senan Millea) and in addition to that, as additional bodyguards, Larissa and her twin brother Thiemo. So yeah, even if Silke and her family are friendly to the "guests" from Brigid things are probably still a bit complicated, haha. Larissa respects her well enough and has probably sparred with her sometimes and she also doesn't dislike her but interacting with Silke will always feel a bit weird to her because of the reason why she and the others from Brigid are even in Fódlan. So her finding Silke hot will make things even more awkward for her. Like I said, Lara doesn't dislike her and probably thinks Silke is pretty cool, at least for being the imperial princess, but finding her attractive is going too far, at least in her opinion xD |

Oh man, I'll have to look into magic and spells haha I think they'd all learn some at least, all of my characters would probably benefit from it to some extent? But again, I'll have to look into it and see what would fit for who.
Silke definitely doesn't care much for official business and politics, so I could see her getting along with guest among other people who may not necessarily like her family. She'll do her best to break through that awkward wall between them XD

Take your time ^^ I'm not sure if all of mine will use magic but I still listed what they could learn if they wanted too. Most have two sets of spells: Most have Black Magic and White Magic while a few others learn Dark magic instead of black. It's much rarer though here, at least for our surface dwellers (for Agarthans it's their main type of magic). So if some of yours are going to use dark magic it would probably be one or two of them since none of your kids are Agarthans. If you want all four of them to know some dark magic that's cool too of course, then this year there's just an unusual amount of dark mages at the academy ^^ And Akakios would hate them even more because he's not happy that humans and beastkin can learn dark magic, haha
Quickly edited that one post with the spells to clarify which ones on the Reason Magic are black magic and which are dark magic. Also, all Faith Magic is white magic
Good to know, I think the guests from Brigid would get along with her because of that. At the very least they have no grudge against her but yeah, like Lara some might be a bit unsure how how to interact with Silke. And good she's trying to break that awkward wall between them, it definitely makes stuff a bit easier and Lara probably appreciates it. The easiest way to do that would be to keep challenging her to sparring matches. Lara may hate serious fights (she hates going on all those missions) but she greatly enjoys training with others and sparring with them |

And done with my new characters. Hopefully my last one, haha... Already mentioned him before and already listed him among my characters and gave him a spell list on our lore page and now I'm finally done with his form. Got much longer than I expected but oh well
Serik Zhandos | 17 | Male | Church of Seiros | Monk | No Crest | Serik is short for his age. He has short purple hair and bright purple eyes. | Serik is a usually friendly and cheerful person, always happy to meet new people. He likes to try and impress others or to tease them a little or otherwise cheer them up. He knows when to be serious though and is also often willing to just listen. He tries to be friendly to most, even when they're being rude, but he won't tolerate their attitude forever and will either firmly tell them off or be rude in return. Serik greatly enjoys his training and looks up to the fully trained knights. He always does his best so he'll be strong enough to keep everyone safe. While he is mostly a genuinely caring person he has one more reason for training as a knight: to get revenge on his birth family who not only treated him like trash for having no crest but also wanted to have him killed when he was only nine. He also hates anyone who views crest-less people as inferior and will be cold to them at best. Most of the time however he'll show his disdain outright and sometimes be straight up nasty to them, and it's not unlikely that he'll try to pick a fight with such people. To him everyone who thinks crest bearers are more valuable is just as bad as his birth family. He is also uneasy around any crest bearers, no matter how they view their own crests. While most of this comes from his hatred for his former family it also comes from his fear of them as he thinks everyone with a crest or with the opinion that crest bearers are superior has the potential to become just like the ones who essentially sentenced a child to death. Serik has not told anyone about his past, aside from his adoptive parents, and while he wishes he could find someone else he could trust enough to talk about it he just never feels safe enough to do so, fearing that they'll also see him as bad luck like his birth family did. Around those he wants to trust, like the professors, the knight training him and the captain of the knights, he at least managed to drop some hints though. While he has a hard time fully trusting someone he also likes to believe in the good of most people, something that often conflicts with his deep seated distrust and fear of nobles and crest bearers. His faith in humanity can make him look naive to others but he usually can tell who deserves a second chance and who doesn't. Still, his seeming naivety often makes him look younger than he is, not helped by his below average height. Serik also doesn't like to plan ahead that much. He is a fast learner, actually knows quite a bit about tactics and strategy and can quickly assess a situation but most of the time he just likes to act on impulse, especially when others are in danger. He's the type of person who'd jump into a river to save someone only to remember a little too late that he can't swim either. | Serik is curious about the other countries and their cultures. He's also interested in Fódlan's history and especially Garreg Mach Monastery since this place seems to be full of secrets and mysteries. | Serik enjoys helping out at the Greenhouse and will always find time to do so. He also likes to sing and enjoys dancing too, at least when it's fun and not "boring old ballroom dancing". He loves to train with others but also enjoys spending time with them otherwise. Despite knowing Garreg Mach very well he still likes to explore the place, always wondering if there are any areas he doesn't know yet. He also likes to fish. | Serik greatly dislikes how much value is placed on whether or not someone has a crest. He hates nobles who are of this mindset and distrusts crest-bearers, secretly fearing them. He also can't stand people who are very superstitious and those who have some twisted beliefs, no matter what religion they follow. | Dias Zhandos (father), Zarina Zhandos (mother), Paskal Genadiev (birth father), Katia Genadieva (birth mother), Kubrat Genadiev (brother), Goran (biological father) | Serik is the second son of the minor nobles Paskal Genadiev and his wife Katia though unbeknownst to him his actual father is Goran, a man Katia, frustrated that her husband often seduced some of their maids, had a brief fling with when she and Paskal had business in Duscur. While it was never talked about openly anyone working for his family often whispered about it so while Serik doesn't know who exactly his father is he knows it's not Paskal. Despite not actually being related to him Paskal still accepted the boy as his own at first and decided to raise him the same way as his first son, Kubrat. Not long after his birth however they realized Serik had no crest and took this as a sign that the Goddess was angry at them and that he should have never been born. Immediately his parents began to treat him as lesser, not even bothering giving him a name, and his older half-brother Kubrat followed their example. For a few years they allowed him to live with them though they made it clear they only did so because they didn't want to send a child to live on the streets. One day in spring however their town was hit by a horrible hailstorm, destroying many homes, fields and killing both people and livestock. Since something like that had never happened before everyone thought it must have been the wrath of the Goddess and the noble family immediately blamed their nameless and crestless child, saying that as long as they allowed him to live their land wouldn't be safe from the Goddesses' anger. Instead of killing him themself though his parents ordered one of their knights to escort the boy out of town and quietly gave him a second order. At first Serik thought he'd drop him of somewhere and then leave him to fend for himself but he was wrong. The knight eventually stopped on an overhang at the coast near the Sacred Gwenhwyvar mountains and shoved him into the sea, saying that this is what Lord Genadiev had demanded him to do when the latter had given his second order secretly. Serik knew that by giving this order his father had practically sentenced him to death as there was no way he could make it to the shore. Luck was on his side though and he was saved by a man who was travelling between Faerghus and Duscur for trading and had chosen to travel by boat instead of crossing the mountains that day. The man, Dias, took Serik to his village and he and his wife Zarina decided to look after him and, if he wanted to, to let him live with them, something they wished for as they had no children of their own. The young boy eventually accepted their offer, hesitant at first as he wasn't sure how everyone would react to having a child from a neighbouring country live in their village, and after a while began to see them as family. One of the first things they did was to name him, which mean a lot to him. Serik spent some happy years in that small fishing village and felt right at home in Duscur, happy to no longer have any meaningful connection to Faerghus as it made it easier to mentally distance himself from his birth family. Sometimes he would accompany his father when he went to a town in the Kingdom for trading. One time however Serik, who often got bored and preferred to walk around town instead of watching his father do business, overheard a small group talking about planning to attack the king the next time he would go to Duscur. Upon hearing this Serik quickly went to tell the next best person that there was a suspicious group, making it seem like they sounded like they wanted to steal something from the market as he doubted that most adults would believe him if he just told them what he actually had heard. The man, a local merchant, followed Serik back to where he had seen the group and as he also heard some words from their plan he immediately told some guards of the town. In the meantime Serik kept an eye on them from his hiding place until the guards came to arrest them but shortly before they did he saw one of the strangers look in his direction and it horrified him. This person looked like they were not quite human, their eyes being especially unsettling. At this moment the guards arrived and after briefly being distracted by them Serik looked back at that creepy being only to realise they looked like a completely normal person again and he wrote the brief unsettling sight off as his eyes playing a trick on him. The captured group was held by the guards for a while until the Knights of Seiros showed up, though some managed to escape and flee the town. The knights asked Serik and the man he had alerted about what they had seen and heard from that group. Once they heard that one member of the group had noticed Serik watching them they brought up the possibility that those who got away might want to get their revenge on him as it was thanks to him that they had been found out. They immediately sought out the boy's father Dias to tell him about this too and suggested that if they were right about their concerns then Serik would be safer with the knights at Garreg Mach. Dias agreed but said he'd have to talk to his wife about this first and asked to be given a day or two so they could make a decision. Back in Duscur Dias and Zarina quickly came to an agreement and while it saddened them to have to send their son away for an indefinite time they knew he would be much safer at a place as well protected as Fódlan's Garreg Mach Monastery. Serik didn't like that decision at all, not wanting to be apart from his family but he too understood that it was for the best. He missed his home a lot at first though he soon began to find some things to enjoy about his life at the monastery. Eventually Serik become interested in becoming a knight especially after learning more about the Goddess and crests and realizing that his birth family had wrongfully blamed him for that storm. By learning how to fight alongside Fódlan's most revered knights Serik hopes to one day have the chance to get revenge on his former family and make them pay for how they treated him. He also thinks he should train under them so he'd be better able to protect himself in case the knights really were right about those from the group who had talked about attacking the royal family wanting to get back at him for ruining their plan Sometimes he wonders if he made the right choice though because as much as he loves his training he still hopes he will return to Duscur one day and he worries that by deciding to train under the Knights of Seiros he has made this impossible as they will expect him to be loyal to them. | His strengths are Faith and Bow. His Weaknesses are Riding and Heavy Armor. Has a talent for Flying. | Pineclaw | As for his class progression, I think it would be Monk -> Thief -> Assassin and/or Dark Flier -> Falcon Knight. I also think that he kind of looks up to Ambrose, at least where his skills are concerned. He does like the knight and think he's funny but he's not gonna ignore Ambrose's less great actions (like how he locked Juris in the kennel). Hm... maybe Ambrose even is the knight who trains Serik? Would make the Big Reveal with the Agarthans even more fun... And yes, the eerie human-like being he briefly saw was an Agarthan who had been out of disguise for a second. But don't worry, Serik won't find out anything about those guys since he is convinced he only imagined it since the guy looked like a normal human again after Serik looked away for a split second. And he's not gonna bring it up to anyone either. Oh, and the example in his personality description about how he tends to act on impulse a lot was just the best thing I could think of to describe it. That particular example doesn't really apply to him though as during his years in Duscur his adoptive family had taught him how to swim xD

Today and yesterday were pretty tiring (late-shift this week and it's always the worst on Monday and Tuesday) so I didn't do any stuff. Will try to get a few things done this week though. Maybe dig up some more stuff about our foreign students. I know Imrie talked about her home in Sreng a bit. Not much yet but still something I will add to the page. Also, I know it's not relevant but I might make a small list of all the assigned tasks. You know, how everyone has to do stuff like kitchen duty at some point. And what the pair ups are. I know we picked Grimm and Vincent for the Eagles, Ciarra and Julius for the Deer and Luca and Imrie for the Lions. But that are only three groups and it's only for one task. Since I think everyone will be paired up with everyone at least once we already know what combinations we can have. Now we only need to decide which pair does which task, haha For example, here are all possible combinations for the Lions. Probably

Okay, that's uh... that's a lot. I don't think we have that many chores around the monastery xD Kitchen Duty, Stable Duty (horses and pegasi), Stable Duty (wyverns), Hunting, Weeding, Security (patrolling the monastery from the sky with a pegasus or wyvern)... I think those are all mentioned in game (some were mentioned during support conversations.) Hm... I guess there's also weapon maintenance? We can probably make that a task too. Oh well, let's just say that it's not always the same pair up for each task. As in, Luca and Imrie were the first Lions on kitchen duty but next time it could be Rieka and Jason instead of Luca and Imrie again Like I said, it's not even relevant but it might be something that can be mentioned during the rp, even if it's just a "outside of class and yesterday's hunting duty they hadn't talked much yet" or something. I'll also not post a full list of who does what and when. It'll just be every task listed and who is currently assigned to them. So for each task it'll be three pairs, one from each House and with each timeskip they will be updated to the next pair ups As for something more useful, I've been thinking aside from just listing romance stuff (which so far is only Searc's future crush on Quincy) we should also list some of the friendships. We do have some characters who already knew each other before attending the academy (Vincent and Estelle, Neason/Searc and Julius) and we also have some who made some friends during the first few weeks (Rekka befriending Estelle and Callan for example). So yeah, I might wanna list those friendships too. Oh, and any bigger rivalries! Like Searc and Silke, (later) Juris and Lara (though in their case it's training together because they hope to one day best Searc, Silke, Agnar and whoever else is stronger than them)... and stuff like that |

About the Occult Club's next steps, I know our idiots have to figure out how to get in first but since it's a completely normal lock it shouldn't be too difficult. Maybe one of them can open it with magic or Rekka could try to unlock it with his nails. He has sharper and sturdier ones than a human if I remember correctly so it might work. And it's probably better than just destroying the lock since while probably no one actually goes to that door to check it I think our idiots still wouldn't want to risk it. As for the security measures inside the normal looking room, they're probably nothing actually dangerous. Sure, it's to protect the hidden room but since nothing super important is in there it also doesn't warrant any traps that could hurt or kill anyone. So probably just something that only makes things more difficult? And aside from that it's also meant to startle or scare off anyone who tries to find the hidden room?
Oh, and when I looked over our calender again I noticed your characters don't have birthdays yet, Spark. Do you have any days in mind? It's not something important but since everyone else has theirs listed it would be nice to know. If you don't want to think on it you can also just pick some four random dates. You could use this in that case. Then we only need to turn them into Fódlan dates. Also, all months have 30 days so if you get a 31 we'd have to make it 30 instead

Yup, we can't have that. The Deer get to win for that alone. And even though the other two houses got stronger and more skilled too I think the Deer still have a decent chance. So us deciding that they get to win isn't too weird. Neason has already shown that he can be competent during the Garland Moon mission. Him being competent (even if it's just somewhat) would definitely come as a surprise for the other houses. So yeah, them seeing Neason not being an idiot (or not much of an idiot) for once will catch them off guard xD And hey, it's not like the Deer are a bunch of weakling either, they've learned a lot by the time the Battle of the Eagle and the Lion takes place. I think we said early on that since quite a few Deer use magic they'd do pretty well as many students in the other houses don't resist it well. To quote Sussuru: "We have to keep in mind that the Golden Deer have the most magic users though! I agree that they're unlikely to win the mock battle but after that? Unless we have a lot of high res characters, GD will start wrecking houses late rp."
But aww, that's adorable, Rekka's birthday specifically being made as close to Halloween as possible. I can just imagine him in his beastform sitting or standing among some pumpkins and holding a bag, basket or bucket of candy in his snout. And some cute spooky halloween decorations on him, haha. Yup, the fox is made for Halloween

That would probably work. If they're smart enough to think of that xD I know Tahvo would but depending on whether or not his classmates have realized he's not as foolish as he pretends to be (and whether or not he thinks they've figured him out) he might not voice that idea. Julius could suggest it too or back up whoever suggested it. Akakios would be almost impressed if anyone came up with it though. Even after all these months he still looks down on surface dwellers and thinks they're all too stupid to actually have a clever thought. And Callan doesn't really care what the plan is, he's just here to give it his all and take down any Lion or Eagle that stands in his and his classmates' way Another part of the Deers strategy could be to have their mages (supported by physically stronger units of course in case things don't go as planned) quickly take down the more threatening opponents who have crappy resistance. My strongest Eagle Vincent and my two strongest Lion students Larissa and Agnar each have pretty low res, even though the latter is talented at using magic himself. So yeah, my strongest Eagles and Lions could be dealt with that way
Too bad there doesn't seem to be a Halloween like holiday in Fódlan. It would definitely be fun. Then again we did add some events of our own so we totally could make something for that too. I know Sussuru once suggested a holiday inspired by Samhain:

We might have to change the date though since the last day of the Wyvern Moon is the Battle of the Eagle and the Lion and I'm not sure how many students would be up for a festival right after that, haha. I think Samhain is the first day of November (Red Wolf Moon) but it begins on the evening of the last day of October. Still rough for our students who just finished a huge battle mere hours before. Yea, we could easily pick some other date for the Halloween or Samhain thing! Either move it to the next day (so from the evening of the first day of the Red Wolf Moon to the second day) or we can place it at the end of the month. Feels kinda weird to celebrate it one day or even month later but like we said, no need to be so strict about it. It's only inspired by those days, not a perfect copy Speaking of holidays though, I think a day inspired by Christmas was suggested too. Sure, we have the Garreg Mach Establishment Day and the Great Ball on the 25th of the Ethereal Moon (December) and here's what we came up with for it (aside from the things that were already in the game, which are the Great Ball and the Goddess Tower being open)
and that's cool and all but if we also want a day for gift giving we can easily make that too. Maybe for the 24th? First thing that comes to mind since I'm German and here it's pretty common to do the whole gift thing on Christmas Eve instead of Christmas Day xD
As for the special tournament, we can just place it wherever. Well, probably not set it during the Blue Sea Moon or Verdant Rain Moon because of the assassin attack for the former and the cultist plot for the latter, the students have other things on their minds than some fun tournament xD And we should probably also exclude the Great Tree Moon and the Wyvern Moon for this because of the Mock Battle for one and the Battle of the Eagle and the Lion for the other. But aside form those four? Yup, we can have that big tournament whenever we feel like it. And it'll be a fun opportunity for students from different houses to work together since unlike those other two big events they won't have to stick to their own housemates
Speaking of tournaments, there are also smaller ones held each month. No teaming up for those though, they all are one on one and a good way to win some extra gold. We can either rp one or some of those too or just have them off-screen and just decide who participated when and which student won. I know that Callan would participate sometimes when the focus is on magic, swords or knives. He wants that extra gold to pay off his wyvern as soon as possible To make things easier/harder, here's the festivities/special events (and birthdays) we have listed so far

For the small timeskip (the Occult Club meeting up again in front of the locked door), anyone wanna post first? Either Pierce and Grimm just joining up with Rekka and Julius again or one of the four noticing they only have to deal with a normal lock?
Still some time until then since it's the next month and we still have other things to do until then but I think we said after the Shady Bois stuff the guy who's working for Osoric will show up for the first time. You know, the jerk who's supposed to win Elara's trust. Since he's probably an NPC any of us can play him but we should still make a form for him (like I did for Amatus and Farvald). Anyone wanna do that? Or at least any idea what he's like?
Oh, and for any future Occult Club investigations I was thinking that maybe I'll also have Serik sneak around at night every now and then. Since he's also curious about what secrets there are at the Monastery. I won't have him join the Occult Club though. So maybe sometimes the club sees him and, not knowing that he's also just interested in this kind of stuff, they think they can't be seen by him. The same goes for him too, he sometimes sees the four walking around at night and thinks he has to hide because otherwise they may snitch on him. So yeah, just the Occult Club and this idiot sneaking around for the same reasons but thinking they have to avoid each other. I'm mainly suggesting this because Akakios wants to make someone look suspicious (and accidentally puts the others on Ambrose's trail instead) so having Serik also sneak around the monastery sometimes would be perfect for him

And yea I can do a basic af form for the guy and probably a more detailed one for osoric when I'm home
But ooo so much upcoming stuff going to have to think of mine who would join in on tournaments, for sure searc is there for the sword and lance ones ready to throw down
Ooo looking forward to Serik sneaking around as well, these two groups just sussing each other put. But part of me is like what if on bigger projects they work together?

For the smaller tournaments, Larissa and Nora are also gonna participate. Nora for magic and lances and Lara for brawl and maybe also lances. As for everyone else, I'll guess we'll see
Haha, yea xD And sure, they can work together sometimes. Maybe after the assassins plot? When the Occult Club is looking for possible secret entrances from where the assassins could have come from. Which would also be the investigation where Rekka gets nabbed by the cult. But yeah, Serik would definitely join for that investigation. Same for the one after that where the club looks into the involvement of some church members with the cult. As for after that, depends on what they'll investigate. He will still not become a full member though so Akakios can still somewhat reasonably expect to make him look suspicious

Hopefully the others won't tease him for it. Julius might think Pierce is a bit obnoxious and kind of ignorant (since Pierce apparently thinks Desai is a respectable noble) but he's not gonna make fun of him for being creeped out by the graveyard. Might even offer to try and ward off any potential curses since he's decent at using white magic. Not that he thinks it would be necessary, he just wants to make things less scary for Pierce. Akakios is not too happy having to act like that though, haha. He thinks it's hilarious that Pierce is fearing the wrong kind of danger from below. Sure, you shouldn't piss off the dead but the Agarthans are much more dangerous

No teasing him for the 'creeped out by graveyard' thing but definitely for other things. And yup, but in a way he's not entirely wrong. The real threat really does come from below. Not the right down under but hey, he can get half a point for this. And did you have to call it that? Now I've got that damn song stuck in my head. Again. Neason just can't fool anyone. Maybe if he tried really hard he could get Searc's writing style right but he'd probably screw up here and there and make it real obvious that Searc didn't write this
Yeah, both way works out well. Both have good reasons too. Serik was one of those who got nabbed by the cult after all, just like Rekka. So he'd definitely be interested in joining forces with the Occult Club when they're looking into the involvement of other church members. And for the same reason they could seek him out, figuring he might know something they don't. Especially since we said the cult keeps humans and beastkin in separate cells. So yeah, Rekka might have seen or heard something that Serik didn't and vice versa. As for whether the Club approaches him or he them, I guess can figure that out once we get there
