HISTORY
Many years ago, two brothers were born, identical except one had amber eyes and the other green. Amber-eyes was Magpie, the other, Raven. The two brothers were the best of friends, living and getting along even when their mother and other siblings abandoned them. But just like everything, their bliss ended. Magpie fell in love with a she-cat, Willow, but Raven also loved her. So the two brothers started to fight, they fought with their claws and they fought with their words. In the middle, poor, white-furred Willow was stuck. Magpie and Raven fought so viciously that they both declared to have separate territories - The Mischief (named after Magpie) would live on one side of the forest and The Unkindness (named after Raven) on the other. In the middle, a large willow tree separated their territories. On the day of Willow's death, from a sickness, Magpie and Raven blamed the other and continued their battles. Over time, other cats without homes joined either The Mischief (to help Magpie) or The Unkindness (to help Raven).
Now, after many years, the two brothers war is still raging despite them being long dead because it is all the cats ever knew. Will it ever end?

BECOMING AN APPRENTICE
When a kit is prepared to become an apprentice they must first do a test. On the day they receive their apprentice name, the begin a month of learning and training to see what their skills are best suited for. So, when a kit turns six moons old they will begin one moon of training in both the skills of a Hunter and Fighter. On the last day their skills will be assessed in a test, as written below, and they will become a Fighter or Hunter based on their skills.

To become a Hunter the new apprentice must hunt. They will be kept under the strict eye of two senior Hunters and if the Hunters decide that the kit is good enough than the apprentice will be a Hunter.

To become a Fighter an apprentice must battle three of the best Fighters, claws sheathed. If the Fighters believe that they are skillful than they will be a Fighter.

To become a Medicine Cat an apprentice must show deep interest. They must still spend the one moon training but they will also be taught herbs by the Medicine Cat. If the Medicine Cat thinks they are good enough they will take them an a Medicine cat apprentice.

An apprentice of equal skills in both hunting and fighting will be able to choose if they want to be a Hunter or Fighter.

POSITIONS IN CAMP
The Leader, as it states, is the leader of the group. It is their job to make sure the group is all in order, they make the decisions when attacking and defending. Their word is law.
The Medicine Cat are limited to three. It is their job to collect herbs and heal sick or injured cats.
The Hunters hunt for the group. Sometimes, they will join the Fighters when there is a battle. There doesn't need to be too many hunters - just enough to secure that the group won't be hungry.
The Fighters fight for the group against enemies such as foxes, badgers, and most of all: the opposing clan. They are responsible for patrolling and ensuring the safety of the clan.
The Apprentice are being taught to either become a Fighter, Hunter or Medicine Cat.
Queens are she-cats who either have kits or are pregnant. They can either be Hunters or Fighters when not with kits.
Kits before the age of five moons they rest in the Mothers den but when they are five moons they sleep in the apprentice's den until their sixth moon when the decision is made.
The Elders are retired cats who now live their lives in peace.
You may have noticed, there is no deputy. Instead, leadership is passed through kin. Should a leader die without an heir, the fighters will battle to see who the strongest is and they will become the new leader.

THE GATHERING
Every on the day of a full moon, the two clans will gather in the Battlezone. They use this opportunity to, in a way, show off their skills. The fighters will compete in battles (claws sheathed, although it has gotten out of hand before), hunter will compete to show off their skills, and apprentices undergo a range of challenges such as hunting, fighting, climbing, and swimming. Medicine cats will take the time to discuss their ideas and herbs. This tradition started many, many moons ago as a way of having the clans being able to show their skills.

TERRITORY
The Unkindness
Raven's Territory is set in a lush, green forest. The forest is filled with unsuspecting prey such as birds, rabbits, mice, squirrels and more. The ground in covered in broken twigs, dead leaves and other bits and pieces from the forest. It looks peaceful, but deep inside it isn't. The territory isn't known as 'The Unkindness Territory' but instead is is known as 'Raven's Territory' because Raven was the cat who declared the land his. This goes for The Mischief as well, their territory is called 'Magpie's Territory'.

The Border, on every tree along Ravens Border (the border between The Mischief and The Unkindness) are claw marks scratched into the trunk of every tree, warning off enemies.
The River that runs through the territory is slender, curvy and calm that begins in Ravens territory and runs out through Crow territory.
The Rocks, close to the camp are large boulders that catch the sun. Queens, Kits, Elders, and anyone else usually rest here to get sun because the camp doesn't catch much sun due to it being surrounded by trees. But beware - avoid falling into the water, and also, snakes have been seen on the rocks during the hot seasons.
Rocky Cliff marks the edge of the territory, it is much too steep to climb.
Twoleg Territory sits beside the rocky cliff and is walled off with a wooden fenceline. This is out of bounds for clan cats.
Ancient Trees towards the Battlezone stand tall, ancient trees that have thick roots that intertwine in the earth. They are tall and it serves a good place to collect moss.
The Blackpath marks another border for the clan. It runs from the Twoleg Territory and continues into Magpie territory.
The Battlezone is space, about four fox lengths, that separates the two territories. Originally, it was called Willow's Land, but after some time it was renamed. In the center of The Battlezone is a large willow tree, the same tree that Willow was buried beside. One of the only things that Raven and Magpie could agree on when deciding the territories was that the Willow belonged to their lost love and neither could claim it. Although, since it is neither the Magpie or Raven territory if a cat is seen there and killed there it was the own cats fault and not the cat who murdered them.

The Mischief
The territory isn't known as 'The Mischief's Territory' but instead is is known as 'Magpie's Territory' because Magpie was the cat who declared the land his. This goes for The Unkindness as well, their territory is called 'Raven's Territory'.

The Forest, most of the territory is plain, prey-filled forest.
The Pines marks about one third of the territory, the pines mark a marshland.
The Lake sits at the very end of the territory and the pebbled shore is a good place for collecting moss.
The Border, on every tree along Magpie's Border (the border between The Mischief and The Unkindness) are claw marks scratched into the trunk of every tree, warning off enemies.
The River runs straight through Magpie's Territory, although, it begins in Raven's territory. So, if ever in fear that The Unkindness may have spoil the water, The Mischief cats can drink from the lake past the marsh.
The Sandpit, down by the stream is a sandy bank. Fighters train their fighting skills on the soft sand here. It is also an ideal sunning spot.
The Blackpath, is a road that runs on the far left of the territory. It begins in Raven's territory and leaves through Magpie's. The cats have never reached the end.
The Battlzone is a space, about three fox lengths, that separates the two territories. Originally it was called Willow's Land, but it was later renamed. CAMP
The Mischief
The camp is placed just where the forest begins to thin into pines. The front of the camp is protected by a wall of thick brambles and the back is protected by prickly pines.

The Leader sleeps on a tree stump that is surrounded by ferns and it is covered with leaves, moss and bird feathers making it warm and comfortable.
The Queens and Kit sleep surrounded by an outer wall of brambles and an inner wall of ferns and elderberry. In the center of the wall is a tree, the Queens make nests in the roots that roll and weave out of the ground, they use feathers, leaves and moss for warm beds.
Hunter's and Fighter's rest together. Half of them sleep in a den much like that of the nursery and the other half sleep in a hollowed-out tree log that is pointed towards the entrance of camp. The strongest fighters and keenest hearing hunters sleep there.
The Apprentices's sleep in a den similar to the Nursery. The Apprentice Den is beside the Leader's tree stump. Beside the den, another tree stump (on the other side to the Leader's next) sits and apprentice's use it for playing.
The Elder's sleep in another hollowed-out tree that has a large hole in the center of the log so that the elders can look out into camp without leaving their nests. Like a window.
The Medicine Cat lives in another hollowed-out tree, the supplies are at the end while they rest near the entrance.

CAMP
The Unkindness

Near the end of the territory, close to the stream, The Unkindness has made a camp. It is surrounded with brambles and hidden in the cover of trees, not much sun reaches the camp, that is why cats usually rest at the Rocks. The camp is not empty as there are trees inside, Learners and sometimes kittens often like to try and climb them.

The Leader sleeps in the hollow of an old, fallen tree at the head of camp.
Queens and Kits sleep in a den made out of trampled, hollowed out bush with a woven, fern roof, right beside an oak tree. The nests are made out of feathers and moss for extra warmth and brambles are placed around the den to protect it from enemies.
Hunters and Fighters sleep in two groups. One half of them sleep together in a den (much like that of the nursery) near the Leaders Den and the rest sleep near the entrance, in another den surrounded by brambles.
The Apprentices sleep in a hollow den beside the oak tree that is next to the nursery den.
Elders live in a hollowed out tree close to the entrance.
The Medicine Cat lives in the roots of an oak tree that stick out of the ground which are wavy and curvy as they dive in and out of the ground. A hole between the roots leads down where all the herbs are stored.
