I N T R O D U C T I O N A thin layer of frost blanketed the camp, a sign of the incoming leafbare. Stepping out of the den, the grass crunched beneath the paw of a black tom and it sent a chilled shiver down his spine. Feeding his clan had already become difficult with the twolegs sudden appearance in the territory and now leafbare would only test their limits. How long would it take for them to starve?
How am I supposed to protect my Clan? The tom choked on the thought, remembering as his deputy had been torn from the clan in a heartbeat. The twoleg monsters had shifted a large boulder which Dovefur had been hiding behind. Before any cat could run to help her, the boulder crumpled in the monsters jaws, and Dovefur had been hit in the avalanche. At least it had been swift. The tom choked again.
His yellow eyes turned to the sunrise and a sense of dread wrung his heart, we have five more sunrises until the next full moon. The decision to leave his territory was looming overhead like a storm preparing to break. The electrical tension made his chest tight, anxiety ran high in every cat, but what if he couldn't save them?
The great yellow monsters loomed nearby, he could feel the vibrations in the earth and he unsheathed his claws in a futile attempt to steady it but it worsened. The earth's tremble turned into a deep shudder that almost knocked the tom from his paws, he stumbled forward and whipped his head around. Yellow eyes turned round as moons as he saw a monster eating rocks just outside the camp, looming closer.
"Wake up!" His voice was a shrill shriek, "We must run!" His black paws slapped the earth and he dove towards the dens.

 A B O U T
This is a RP heavily inspired by the plot of 'The New Prophecy' in which the clans who lived side by side are now forced to join together and escape from their home, which is being destroyed by twolegs.
HeathClan is a moorland clan, used to the rocky moorland which sits at the base of a mountain.
BluffClan is at the edge of the moorland territory and they are based on a headland territory. Their territory is set near a steep cliff, with clumps of forest throughout.
For generations they lived in serenity hidden away at the base of the mountain. Twolegs were merely a kit-story that queens used to stop the kits from meandering too far from the camp. The clans lived alongside each other, wary of their borders and hostile when crossed, but otherwise they lived peacefully.

▶ Activity is important to any RP, however, we all have lives outside of the forums and sometimes time zones can make it so there is more time between replies. This is all totally fine I just ask that if you know you will be away for some time to please let me know so I can mark it down. B E F O R E - T H E - T W O L E G S
The Clans have existed at the base of the mountain for so long that the knowledge of how they settled has been lost; replaced by appreciation by the fact their ancestors had settled. They live in an untouched piece of the world, free from twolegs, thunderpaths, monsters, and interference's of the like.
Humans always knew the area existed but now the land has turned into an investment: they want to turn it into a 'luxury off-the-map getaway'. That is why they are tearing up the territories, although to the clans, all they know is that these twolegs appeared out of thin air and started wreaking havoc on their once untouched sanctuary.
The clans lived side by side, hostile when borders get crossed, but otherwise there isn't much animosity; just caution. Every moon the two clans would meet at a great boulder that marked the border between the two territories and they would discuss matters such as dangers, new apprentices, loss of life, or new life.
 H E A T H C L A N - 🍃
Cats of the moor.
HeathClan cats are renowned for their agility, wit, and resourcefulness. At the base of the mountain, the moorland is scattered with rocks and it slopes downwards towards the headlands (and BluffClan territory). The cats usual hunting strengths lie in their ability to run across the moors, scale over boulders that jut out of the earth, and also the ability to hunt and travel within the tunnels under the moors.
HeathClan cats come in all different colours and pelt lengths but notoriously they are more lithe then they are muscular. However, there are some outliers who are more muscular then expected for a HeathClan cat.
Some traditions that are unique to HeathClan are the apprentice to warrior ceremonies, the newleaf feast and the half-moon chase.
Apprentice to Warrior Ceremonies:
The apprentice must enter the moor tunnels at the top of the territory, in which the tunnels are most convoluted. They must travel through the tunnels until they reach the exit nearby the camp. It can be a dangerous task but it is a show of wits, tracking, and resourcefulness.
The Newleaf Feast
As the leafbare chill drifts away from the moor the cats will engage in a feast, celebrating the season of new life.
The Half-Moon Chase
A time for warriors to show off their skills, they race in the moonlight. They can choose to use the tunnels to their advantage or simply sprint over the moors. To win is an accomplishment, and the winner is often admired.  B L U F F C L A N - 🌊
Cats of the headlands.
BluffClan is renowned for their dexterity, courage, and determination. Their territory stems off the moorland, it has sparse areas of bush land, but the territory ends with a steep cliff. To fall from the cliff would be instant death but the cats play with this fire as sea birds often nest by the headlands and that is their preferred prey. It requires much skill to catch these birds.
BluffClan cats come in various colours and pelt lengths but they are found more often to have muscular legs, allowing them to leap high into the air to catch sea birds as they leave the nests. However, there are outliers, and some cats can be born more lean and lithe then others. Their pelts are said to be beautiful thanks to the sea spray from the cliff side.
Some traditions that are unique to BluffClan are the apprentice to warrior ceremonies and the sea bird rush.
Apprentice to Warrior Ceremony
Apprentices must do an 'obstacle' course near the cliffs edge. It is dangerous, but it is supposed to test their ability to think on their feet, step cautiously, and their dexterity.
The Sea Bird Rush
Every newleaf the cliff is full of birds who are nesting with their chicks. The warriors and their apprentices will go and catch enough to feed the clan, and the day is remembered to be the one where cats finally have a full stomach after a long leafbare.

M A I N - P L O T
Despite living undisturbed for many generations, twolegs have started to invade the territories. Initially the clans thought they could hide and wait until the twolegs left but... it doesn't seem like they ever will. Prey has become scarce, the weather is becoming colder, and twoleg presence is only increasing, bringing nothing but destruction in their path.
HeathClan and BluffClan must unite if they are to survive. They have two options: leave the territories they call home... or perish.
 T H E - J O U R N E Y
The only way for the clans to go is to the mountains. They are being sandwiched between the cliff and the twolegs, so they must leave the territories through snow covered peaks. They travel blindly, not knowing what lies beyond the mountain territory nor if it will even be safe. If they clans manage to get through the mountains they'll find the other side turns into a valley that is covered by dense forest. While it is prey-rich, the cats feel uncomfortable being so confined. Not only that, a spout of heavy rain turns the earth to mush as the water from the mountains runs into the valley. They decide to proceed further in the hopes of finding more suitable territory. A river winds through the valley and they use it as their guide.
Finally, on the other side of the valley the tight mountain walls open into a vast expanse of moorland. HeathClan cats are excited at the find, but BluffClan cats are hesitant as they have traveled away from the coastline and have now lost their beloved cliff side. The cats continue onward, following the same river that lead them through the valley. In the distance it appears there are peaks that extend out of the moor and BluffClan cats are hopeful that on the other side of the peaks could be an ocean, despite the lack of a sea salt scent in the air.
On the other side of the peak, the river starts to weave around large rock faces but there is no sign of an ocean. Admitting defeat, BluffClan decide they will find their home on the rocky riverside instead. The Clans must then decide on borders. S U B P L O T S
These subplots serve the purpose of giving everyone in the RP their own unique thing to do, rather then just having to wait for specific people to progress the 'main plot', you can also do your own side plot to keep things a little more interesting! Of course, I have listed a few ideas that you can claim but also if you have any ideas I encourage you to share them!
▶ As the journey sets off a she-cat, Honeyshade, realizes she is expecting kits. If the journey wasn't going to be hard before, it certainly will be now...
▶ An apprentice, Hornetpaw, is ready to become a warrior but their ceremony is postponed as the clans uproot from the territories. Despite the seriousness of the situation they can't help feeling bitter about it, knowing that their younger peers will soon be made warriors despite not having to be an apprentice as long. Will this cause Hornetpaw to make rash decisions?
▶ A cat, Spiderwatcher, is able bodied and extremely helpful in helping feed the clans. One wrong move in the mountains leads them to escaping death by a heartbeat, but they have broken one of their legs. How will they deal with the grief of it all, as well as still needing to continue the journey?
▶ Shadedspeck is an elder who feels like a burden as they rely on not just their clan, but the other clan to keep them safe. They are no long able-bodied like they were when they were a warrior, so how will they fare on the journey?
▶ Muse E is a warrior from BluffClan who feels somewhat experienced to be trekking through the mountains due to their experience balancing on the cliffs. Halfeye is a warrior from HeathClan who is having trouble adapting to the harsh terrain. Muse E saves Halfeye from a close call with a rock slide, and the two begin to build a bond.
▶ Shadowpuddle is a clan cat who is a devoted to their clan. Bur is a rogue who begins assisting the clans as they find their home, offering assistance through the strange terrains. Shadowpuddle thinks they shouldn't be taking advice from a cat who isn't clan born, but when Bur helps them through a particularly difficult part of the journey their opinions change. When the rogue says goodbye, Shadowpuddle doesn't want them to go.
▶ Stormchill has lost his brother to the twolegs and as a result has become hyper-focused on helping his clan mates with the aspiration of becoming deputy. Stormclaw, from the same clan, also shares these aspirations to be become deputy. Initially, they drive each other crazy with their differences, but as time goes by they must work together to ensure the safety of their clan. Stormclaw and Stormchill find family-like comfort in each other, with Stormchill finding Stormclaw's company to be much like that of the brother he lost. The two continue to share their rivalry to become deputy but their bond has grown strong and no matter what they will be each others family.
▶ Jackdawstar and Silentstar are forced to work together to ensure they clans safe arrival to the new territory. However, they struggle to find a dynamic in which they can work together. As they progress through hardships, they find themselves relying on each other more and more. When the clans separate, there are feelings of regret.
▶ (Suggested by Tealraven) Suppose Blazingsky and Owlfrost both have a crush on Muse L. Naturally, this sparks a rivalry between the two to win Muse L's affection that maybe, just maybe, lasts the entire journey, to the exasperation of their Clanmates. In their attempts to one-up each other and impress Muse L, Blazingsky and Owlfrost start to impress each other and end up falling for each other instead. And maybe, just to top it off, they find out Muse L was actually ace or gay the whole time.
▶ (Suggested by fire) Shadepelt is a cat who hides a dark personality. Lately, with all the troubles and worries of the journey, he's finding it harder and harder to be his kind normal self. As the journey wears on, he snaps more and more, and will keep having outbursts... Unless a new face (Muse N) can help him...
▶ As the journey starts, Stonepelt finds himself admiring Gullfeather and the pair form a bond. After a small mishap in the mountains, Stonepelt requires Galewhistles healing abilities and he finds himself drawn to her. While his heart lies in his clan, he dances with the feelings for the HeathClan medicine cat as well as his feelings for his fellow warrior. Not one for dealing with emotions, relations become tense. In the end, they must all follow their hearts.

It is currently the beginning of leafbare (winter). Prey became scarce a long time ago when twolegs first started ravaging the territories but now with the cold season hunting has become a game of chance.
HeathClan are used to hunting large moor birds, rabbits, mice, and other small creatures. BluffClan are used to hunting sea birds, rabbits, mice, and other small creatures.
In the mountains they can hunt for large prey birds, snow hares, mice, voles, and occasionally smaller birds too.

The tom looks as though he is bulky but it is all coat, underneath he is thin and lean. He has a long, bushy tail and long black whiskers. He has large yellow eyes.
Jackdawstar struggles internally to do what he believes is right as he often struggles with the fear he could make the wrong decision that hurts his clan. That being said, once he makes a decision he sticks to it. He is a compassionate tom to his clan mates, a leader who would give his life to any if they needed saving. Generally Jackdawstar is quiet and observant, preferring to watch situations unfold and only step in when needed.

Black stripes fall across her legs and chest, as well as marking her head and cheeks. She has small black dots where each whisker forms from her face and a black ring around her eyes and nose.
Silentstar has a bundle of personality to her. She is quite intelligent and is quick to negotiate terms in an argument or plan. She is reserved in many ways, only speaking up when needed or required of her. She is swift on her feet, as well as stealthy. This makes her a very respected hunter for her clan.

His cynical side has prevented him from being able to make connections with others leaving him with no cats he would be able to consider friends. His nature often receives him as being cruel.

Wolfstorm is a hardworking and experienced warrior with a paw on the pulse of his Clan. He's stern but good-natured, and is overall a reasonable cat to negotiate with. He enjoys training apprentices and can be rarely seen without a charge to teach the ways of a warrior. While patient, he doesn't suffer fools lightly. He's incredibly protective of his family.

Galewhistle is a friendly and intuitive, but no-nonsense medicine cat. Although she is quite young for her position, having taken on full responsibilities shortly after getting her name, she has no issue speaking her opinion to cats much older than her. She's empathetic and shrewd, and its very difficult to deceive her. She strongly believes in the value of life, and will go to any lengths to save a patient, even if it means danger. Unlike most medicine cats, she does not shy away from a fight, and though she is not formally trained, she knows enough to surprise an opponent who thinks that she is just a helpless medicine cat.

[ Reference Photo ]Birdscreech is a large, fluffy gray cat, muscles built from climbing the cliffs for hard-to-reach herbs. Dark and light gray spots dot his fur, lined down his face and along his back. He has one smoky blue eye, as the other has been raked shut from a tussle with a taloned sea bird.
He's reaching his golden years, and with that a certain attitude of accepting the absurdity of life. Sometimes he finds his own fun in a somewhat odd, even disturbed way, and has a dark, offbeat sense of humor. Birdscreech is a cat that will say "oops cut off your paw, haha made you look." A bit of an evil genius, he's nonchalant about the weirder or scarier parts of medicine, and likes to experiment with herbs and techniques. With both his curiosity and his age, Birdscreech has grown very skilled in his craft.

[ Reference Photo ]Foxpounce is a lean tom of average height. He short coat has a coarse texture it and is ginger tabby with a white face, chest, paws, and tail tip. He has deep amber eyes and short whiskers. Foxpounce is quick on his feet and leaps impressively to catch moor birds.
Foxpounce is a rather complicated tom. At face value he is an aggressive and brash tom who is, frankly, unlikable. However deep inside he is frightened and this is only exacerbated by the twolegs destroying the territories. He can be gentle, rarely, and he shows his compassion in ways that aren't necessarily easy to understand.

This young molly is gentle and trusting, probably too much so. She is very empathetic and this makes her a good listener when someone is down. During the Half-Moon Races she was there to cheer on those who trailed in last. Fernheart is a trusting cat and is easy to manipulate.

[ Reference Photo ]Stormchill is a dark, charcoal-grey tom with icy blue eyes. He's a little on the tall side, with a lean, muscular body and a handsome, angular face.
Stormchill is, at first glance, every young molly's dream tom: stern, brooding, and deeply loyal to serving his Clan. In reality, he's just a tired introvert who is one hundred percent done with the world's fox-dung. He's always been a hard working, rather serious cat, and as such, he's not accustomed to receiving praise or affection. He's not really sure how to respond to it. When he lost his brother to the invading twolegs, he became cool and distant. Since then he's erected a prickly, stoic shell to keep others at arm's distance. To distract himself from his grief, he's chosen instead to focus all of his energy and attention on helping his Clan survive the journey.
Brother was Ravencall, who died instantly after being crushed by a twoleg monster. Spiderwatcher

Spiderwatcher is a vocal and spunky little molly. She can be very anxious at times, though she has learned to hide it from others. She can be very thoughtful of others and their feelings and opinions. One of the fastest and best hunters in the clan. Very protective of her family.

A she cat that jumps at the littlest of noises. She gets scared easily, often refusing to do something from fear of injury or failure so she tends to try and get out of it. Due to her fears she hasn’t talked to many of her clanmates, afraid of them or of saying the wrong thing.

Whiskerflick, although enthusiastic, is also rash. More than once has he narrowly avoided falling from a rock due to a poorly thought-out leap.

Rushingfire is quite the tom. Though he is valuable by his size and strength, the tom has quite the blood-thirsty ambition that causes much trouble for the clan. He has a huge attitude problem and picks fights often with the other clan. He often undermines the deputy and leader, making it very clear that he longs to be the next leader of Bluffclan and believes he could lead the clan better. Though he is a bit crazy when it comes to his anger and ambitions, no one can doubt the warriors loyalty to protect his clan and his devotion to his warrior duties.

Right after the twolegs invaded, she lost her mother to a twoleg monster. She still blames herself. [  ]Eaglecry is a sturdy orange and black tom.. He has an orange chin and a grayish/white underneath his tail. He has long silky fur and a bushy tail. His cheeks are puffy and he has long whiskers. Eaglecry was born blind in his right eye. His blind eye is grey and his left eye is a light orange. His ears are tipped black and each of his toes on his front paws are black. His voice is as strong as that of an eagles cry. (In the sense that it is powerful and can be heard from all around.)
Eaglecry is a feisty tom with quite a bit of anger in him. He is adventurous and a true trouble maker. Eager to influence his troublemaking plans on others and urging them to come along with him. He can be a mouthy tom and isn’t afraid to be vocal with anyone(even the clan leader). His family is his everything, and will stick up for them until his last breath. He isn’t a very good listener, wanting to do everything his own way and by himself. He knows his strengths and doesn’t hesitate in the slightest.

[  ]Coming from a large line of Maine coons. Rushingfire is a massive orange tom. His fur is a dark orange with almost reddish markings to his fur and face. His ears are tufted with dark orange fur. He has a pink nose and a mixture of orange/green and yellow eyes. The time of day and weather changes his eye color. His fur is long but very sleek and well groomed at all times. He has white tufts of fur between each toe. He has a mane of light orange fur around his neck and chest. His tail is very long.
Rushingfire is quite the tom. Though he is valuable by his size and strength, the tom has quite the blood-thirsty ambition that causes much trouble for the clan. He has a huge attitude problem and picks fights often with the other clan. He often undermines the deputy and leader, making it very clear that he longs to be the next leader of Bluffclan and believes he could lead the clan better. Though he is a bit crazy when it comes to his anger and ambitions, no one can doubt the warriors loyalty to protect his clan and his devotion to his warrior duties.

Rushingfire was born to Maine coon parents. His mother was named Midnightblossom(Claimable) and his father Bearstrike(Deceased). Silentstar has two siblings. A brother and sister(Both open and full blooded maine coons and claimable.) Graypebble

She has a dark pink nose and amber eyes. Her ears are both nicked at the tips and her nose as a scar across it. She has a constant look of disapproval and anger on her face.
One of the most secretive and hushed cats of the clan. She often keeps her nose in her own business, as she was taught. She doesn't speak, unless spoken to. She holds a loyalty to her clan, above anything else. She is a strong molly with a stoic attitude. She can be very sharp-tongued though, when someone addresses her or her kits wrong. She is not the biggest fan of younger cats.
Elder
Open to adoptive kits. (Never had her own blood kits, as she was unable to.)
Has bad arthritis in her hips and toes. |

so, I'm a big fan of the found family trope, and I was thinking about mixing it w/ the rivals plot -- what if, instead of the usual rivals to lovers, we did rivals to found family? My character for this plot would be Stormchill. Since he lost his brother, he's been hyperfocused on helping his Clan, so it would make sense for him to want to become deputy. Now, suppose Muse H is close in age to him with complementary or opposite personality traits -- maybe Muse H is loud and cocky in contrast to Storm's quiet level-headedness or something (up to you!) -- and at first, they drive each other nuts. But then, as time goes by, Muse H starts to remind Stormchill of what it was like to have an annoying younger littermate. And so their competition evolves into more of an affectionate sibling rivalry with Stormchill becoming all worried and protective over Muse H? Like, "I couldn't stand you at first, but now I'd be devastated if anything happened to you because I've become attached to you and it would feel like losing my brother all over again. You drive me crazy, but we're family now, no matter what happens."

He's reaching his golden years, and with that a certain attitude of accepting the absurdity of life. Honeyshade is a sweet and kind cat, with a soft voice and a gentle touch. However, within her lies a constant fear of rejection and ostracization, so she tends to lie and twist the truth in order to either make herself look better or get away with a mistake. She'll use her good reputation amongst her fellow cats to her advantage, especially when it comes to asking for favors. Honeyshade doesn't mean to hurt others - in fact, she fears the very thing, for hurting others means cats would hate her. Kindness is a far sneakier tool to get what you want, after all. But she is a very proud and independent cat, and she doesn't like her ego bruised.
In her eagerness for love, Honeyshade had a tryst with a loner before the clans' evacuation. Realizing on the road that she is pregnant with her lover's kits, she now scrambles for a way to maintain her pristine reputation - which includes taking on a clueless tom as a mate to cover her tracks. Open to a mate.

Also Tealraven that plot sounds super wholesome <3 I'll put it in! I realised though I repeated Muse H twice so did you mean the last plot (Muse H + Muse I) or the second last plot (Muse G + Muse H). Alternatively, I can just open it to be a whole separate plot lol.
Now I'm going to get to work on a few starters. While I wait for a few extra people to join, I'm just going to have some RP of the cats still in the territories whilst it is being overrun by twolegs and then we get more people we'll move into the actual leaving phase! ]

Dawn was breaking over the rocky moorland territory, turning the grey clouds into a pretty pink colour. The contrast of the beautiful dawn sky compared to the ravaged moors sent a wave of grief over Jackdawstar's heart. How could the home they have lived in all their lives turn into a vast twoleg wasteland? Despite a chilly leafbare breeze whisking upwind he couldn't scent any traces of prey. We need to try, his claws unsheathed and sank into the frost covered earth, we can't starve any longer! Although they wouldn't admit it he could tell his loyal warriors were beginning to slow as their hunger affected their once flawless skills.
Jackdawstar leapt down from atop the boulder he had been perched atop and he padded towards the entrance of the camp quietly, he decided to attempt to hunt while also inspecting what the the twolegs were doing. Had they moved closer to camp? The thought clawed at his stomach and he pushed ahead.

The young tortoiseshell she-cat slipped out of the warriors tunnel, her paws stepping tiredly as they moved across the frost-bitten grass. She took a moment to stretch her muscles in turn, extending each of her limbs until she felt as though the muscles were satisfied. Despite going to her nest early the evening before she'd been too hungry to sleep restfully. A young warrior, she regretted the fact she felt too weak to support her camp. Just the day before she'd missed a rabbit that basically jumped into her paws because her reflexes seemed to have... disappeared.
Not bothering to look to where the fresh kill pile had once been, she trudged to the protection of a bush and began grooming her pelt in long, fatigued strokes of her tongue.

Paws thumped on the rocks excitedly and expertly, minty green eyes trained on a bird ahead. With a mightly leap, the tabby cat landed atop the seagull and ended its life swiftly. The bird was huge - definitely enough to offer everyone a mouthful. The cats kitten-soft chest puffed outwards in proud, the scent of the seagull so tantalizing that their mouth watered. Seapaw's eyes flickered open, the warmth she'd felt in her dream seeped out of her body and back into the earth. Disappointment flooded her heart and she sighed softly as she raised her head. She swiped her tongue over her jaws as she realised her dream had been so vivid that she'd been salivating. She turned her gaze to the familiar grey and white pelt of Cloudpaw to her side and she rested her chin back onto her paws. Outside of the den she could hear the murmurings of the clan as cats roused. What's the point, she thought with uncharacteristic bitterness, there's no prey to catch.
Initially BluffClan had been unaffected by the twolegs since the birds didn't rely on the moors. But as the twolegs drew closer to the headlands the birds had been disturbed by the noise and were now reluctant to rest on the cliff side.

The air was thick with defeat. Every cat seemed to slump their shoulders, their paws dragging, their pelts seemed to have lost their glossy touch of the ocean. Whiskerflick scraped his claws over the hard earth and scowled at the ground. We must keep trying! He glanced to the apprentice den where Seapaw stared sullenly forward. Once she'd been an enthusiastic kit, bouncing gleefully as she received her apprentice name and now... she looked just as aged as an elder.
Whiskerflick straightened up and left out a huff of air - his breath turned into a cloud as it touched the cold atmosphere. He would hunt. He would try. Turning his head around the camp, he contemplated who he should invite.
