Steel - Forest - Moon
Steel skidded to a halt as Moon turned around, nearly ramming into her. Startled, he racked his brain for an idea. Finding nothing, he sighed. “I don’t know. I just don’t feel ready to go back to camp yet.” He padded forward, resting his head on top of hers and licking her ear.

Halo - Forest - Frost
Halo narrowed her eyes slightly. “Um, sure. Where is it?” She had a feeling this wasn’t the best idea, but she was curious either way. Deep down she wanted to trust this pack wolf, though she knew it could also cause problems in the long run.

Indigo - Camp - Wish
Indigo narrowed her eyes at Wish's nervousness. She could tell the she-wolf didn't like it here as the Omega. Maybe she could put a good word in with her sister and she could talk about it with the Alpha. Indigo wanted to comfort the ginger and white wolf, but she wasn't really sure how.

Steel - Forest - Moon
Steel grinned and took a step back. "Let's do both. We can eat by the river," he woofed, turning to walk back the way they had come. He was glad that the she-wolf had thought of something, lengthening their time together.

Halo - Forest - Frost
Halo growled softly at his chuckle, not liking his advantage here. He knew the terrain better than her, since it was his territory, and they were heading toward a cave. He could easily trap her inside, with who knows what. Taking a deep breath, she followed after him and stopped short of the cave. It was large, easily able to fit a bear, but she couldn't hear anything inside.

Steel - Forest - Moon
Steel raised his eyebrows as Moon bolted ahead before coming back with the rabbit. Grinning, he started toward the river, padding side by side with the black she-wolf. His ears swiveled on his head and he struggled to find something to push away the silence. "What do you- uh... Do you..." he sighed and shook his head sharply. Trying again, he woofed, "Do you ever wonder how Aspen- er, Beta knew she wanted, um, pups?" He hung his head slightly, feeling a bit embarrassed at his loss for words.

Halo - Forest - Frost
Halo nodded curtly as Frost stepped toward the cave, taking a small step after him to peek inside. From where she was, she couldn't see much, but the smell was horrible. When Frost came back out, she said, "Whew, the smell is unbearable." She giggled at the joke and shook her head at Frost's words. "I don't really want to step into a cave that smells horrible, thank you." Halo waited until he had finished to speak again, her head tilted in teasing thought. "You can trust me, but will you is the question."

Steel - River - Moon
Steel grinned softly at Moon’s response. He leaned closer to her as they headed toward the river. Turning his head, he looked down at the beautiful she-wolf. “I think she just knew.” He whispered, glancing toward the rushing water that was peeking through the brambles.

Halo - Forest - Frost
Halo raised her eyebrows. “Oh, very well then. I shall see you again, O’ Mighty Hunter.” She smiled and darted off, casting a few cautious glances over her shoulder as she went. A loner in a pack... Quite an interesting concept.

Steel - River - Moon
Steel nodded, perking his ears toward Moon. “I don’t know, but I think I heard that Alpha found an orphaned pup. I wonder how many there are.” He imagined the two running around the camp with the pups before replacing the two with him and Moon. Grinning softly, he cast a sweet glance at Moon before taking a bite of the rabbit.

Nodding, Steel barked, “Well, that pup must be lucky.” Inside, he wished it had been Moon who had found the pup. It couldn’t have been a better way to reveal his love for her. But their little walk in the forest had been enough for him, and perhaps in the future they could see whether pups would bring them closer. Taking another bite, he continued in a whisper, “You know, if you want pups, just let me know. I want whatever you want.”

Moon - river - with Steel

Moon’s jaw dropped and bits of rabbit fell out as she struggled to form a sentence. She let out a strained laugh. “Pups? So soon? “ she trailed off, looking into her thoughts. She continued on . “I mean whatever’s happens happens.” Taking more bites of the rabbit, she wondered why she wasn’t feeling talkative.

Moon - river - with Steel

Moon furrowed her brow and tried not to sigh. She had upset him a bit. She made sure her voice was sweet.

“Yeah I can’t wait to meet the little ones. Haven’t heard much from Alpha and beta either, they’ve been in there for days. I might bring my brother a rabbit.”

She took a few more bites of the rabbit, then finished chewing and got up.

“Are you coming? We can walk a bit more and talk while I hunt.” She cast a downward glance at the rabbit corpse, her belly full.

Moon - river - with Steel

Moon glanced shyly at Steel as they walked, replying back. “Yeah I’d imagine so, it makes sense.” She scanned the forest floor for prey, scenting the air. There didn’t seem to be anything nearby, so she turned to the river, wondering if her brother might like a fish. The river was melting, and green leaf was on its way. It didn’t look to safe so she brought her attention back to Steel. “It’s good that the pack has pups now, after we lost so many to the bear I thought we might never hear happy squeals again. I can’t wait.” She leaned against him, her tail brushing his .

Moon - river - with Steel

Moon nodded her agreement , her tail swiping slowly over the melting snow that now showed sparse bits of grass and dirt . She watched the river, feeling at peace with Steel sitting there beside her. “We can hunt for my brother and Beta after, I wanna sit here awhile.” She murmured softly. Her eyes scanned the tree line, looking for what she wasn’t sure. She imagined her brother and his first litter of pups. Would she be a good mother if she were to have pups? She turned to Steel , testing her head on his bigger form.

Dream - alphas den -

Dream sat outside the entrance of the den, his yellow eyes narrowed as he stared at the horizon . He was overjoyed, but had not shared much with his pack. He laid down , reaching in front of him to drag an elf leg bone nearer. He gnawed on it, deep in thought about Caesar. He was the runt that’s for sure, and would no doubt face scrutiny about his differences from others in the pack. He was no wolf, and Dream wondered if he could even raise him to be a good one. He mumbled aloud. “Perfectly good rabbit..... scrawny pup.” He stopped himself, for fear of Aspen waking.

He chewed on the leg some more. He wasn’t sure what had gone through his head that day. He sighed as quietly as he could. Deciding that he would raise Caesar just the same as his other pups.

Moon - by the river - with Steel

Moon yawned, gulping in the fresh mountain air. The breeze was nice, and she slowly blinked her blue eyes. A couple of geese were on the melting river, and she barked several times scaring them off into a flight . She watched them zoom away, her tail thumping lightly. The black she wolf felt at peace laying there with Steel. She closed her eyes, laying her head down on her paws.

Dream - camp - with Aspen

Dream looked to his mate, the white wolfs yellow eyes quickly softening. “Hello Aspen.” He woofed as she sat down beside him. His tail swished gently across the rocky ledge , and he lay down. “How are the pups?”

Stolen moon - den -

The young male pup whimpered as he noticed the warmth of his mother gone. He rolled away from his siblings, straining his young limbs to move. He started howling, his small yaps echoing in the cave . He was hungry again, and he growled at the sudden noise of his stomach rumbling.
