Southwark California Slim, Alicio Bête Oh, the hope in Alicio's heart just grew. He's fairly certain his entire demeanor just changed within an instant.
Oh, reasonably he should have known that of course the Isle had restaurants. He just... didn't expect the kids here to be the ones running them- it was exciting and fun and far less intimidating than going up to a villain and asking about some recipes or methods in cooking.
He may have missed some of the conversation on the people running the places, but with every new mention of a restaurant that Montana owned, Alicio's smile grew.
His eyes flicked over to Kassi, slightly surprised at her line of question, but found him agreeing with every question. There was a deep curiosity in what they overall made- Montana said Mexican food was found in the Big Fork, and the Faekery sweets- but Alicio wanted to know specifics- the king of meals and dishes he could potentially learn off of.
Once Kassi was done, he added in some more less... environmental and quality-based questions and so more his-type of questions- "Who taught you how to cook- your parents? Or did you learn on your own- or were there other adults cooking and you learned off them-" Alicio personally felt that last option but- "What's the most popular meals here- how do you end up making them- what are the appliances you use?"
This was an entirely different culinary world, Alicio supposed. Only influenced by the horrible location and perhaps the different villain's culinary skills, if many had those in the first place.

Buchannan Bellamy Bête, Azura Noceda-Blight Billy immediately hissed at Elvira, the moment the words left Elvira's mouth- "You can't just tell them that." It was quite possibly the worst idea to tell these two already pretty judgmental girls, if Billy was reading this situation right, the embarrassing fact that didn't have a proper plan established. The least she could have done was not state that in such a brazen way- Mino had at least been subtle in asking about an inn.
"Ah- we- we'll keep in mind," Billy said, addressing the witches. "We're keeping our minds open about the different options available to us." And Billy was praying, hoping, that the Serpent Prep or Dragon Hall crews found something that sounded less expensive (because who would say the Isle kids wouldn't try to suck them dry of the money they'd started off with- money they weren't even sure the Isle kids would accept). Well, that and the fact that Billy would be fine with only staying in Buchannan for the school and that's it.
The conversation on familiars was something she was half-trying to ignore, though the solid disappointment sinking in her chest as the confirmation the familiars on the Isle couldn't talk. Likely due to the barrier.
It was Azura who still bothered to keep on the track of locations they'd be visiting, responding to Del with a smile (and how did she do that? Was she not stressed as well?), "Oh! Oh!"
"Elvira!" the half-witch said, immediately turning to her cousin with an excited look on her face. "Elvira! Clawthorns! There are Clawthornes on the Isle that aren't Eda or Llilith or King or Hooty-" She started bouncing up and down using the soles of her feet, excited about the prospect of meeting what she could only assume where their kids.
I could meet Eda! Of course, that was assuming Eda hadn't died but- Oh, who was Azura kidding? She was Eda! The Eda that her moms knew wouldn't do something like that without talking to Luz one last time- she had to still be alive. And if Azura could meet this Everret- which, she didn't know who he was the kid of- but a Clawthorne was a Clawthorne and Azura would love to see if they could introduce her to their parents as well.

Tortuga Farris Jaohari, Hibiki Hamada, Chrysanthe Hook Farris's eyes widened a little in glee at the lightest, sliver of fact that Dande's parents were connected to Hook. Which, pity for them, Hook sucked, but! It was a bit of a hint.
Then Mair actually clarified with the group and Farris gave a sheepish grin and nodded, confirming the fact. A hobby that began ever since he discovered the De Vil family existed- wherein none of them shared the same parent. Well, technically Cliff and Collie did and so did the triplets, but as for every general birth- multitudes included or not. The further fact that the second oldest daughter had a half brother who had a half sister had just seemed like a very good idea to start memorizing family trees on the Isle here.
Family bloodlines, fun time!
Then Akram spoke up and Farris's sheepish grin quickly fell into a bright smile. Absolutely brimming with glee, "You're the kid of Aladdin and-? You have a sibling! Oh! Oh this is absolutely exciting and wonderful-" He turned to Mair in excitement, to loudly exclaim, "I'm so lucky- I'm so utterly lucky that not only one of the transfers are their kid- But that he was assigned to Tortuga!"
And then the realization set in and the smile dropped as Farris realized the horrifying little fact that it had been Mair who introduced them. Which wasn't bad at all- but Mair didn't introduce them full names and all. And Farris forgot to add the extra information afterwards.
In the midst of his panic, he vaguely heard the arrival of the three Hook triplets all in all. What a lucky day for Dande, as Chrys added in, "What's wrong, Farris? You were so excited a minute ago- forget to mention your parents?"
At the quiet hiss, "Yes," Chrys barked out laughter before leaning on her sister's shoulder with a grin and focusing on the girl who was excited to meet them. "Well, now just why is it that ya wanted to meet us so bad?"
In the meanwhile, Farris frowned, tried to find the words to say it- and blurted out to Akram- "My dad is Jafar," before quickly following that up with a rush of words- "But I swear that I don't care about who your parents are- well I do, but not in the way that's causing me to judge you for presumed slights of our parents against each other- actually I'm really excited that I get to meet you- and I really hope you don't hold my dad against me either-"

s o u t h w a r k Montana Slim and Eddie Radcliffe
Montana didn't rise to Homie's bait, just gave her a rather arrogant grin. He knew better than to give Ronnie a challenge to her face. It never worked out for anyone involved. She would go above and beyond to prove him wrong, even if doing that meant she destroyed everything in her path. Anything that put his garden at risk was something he didn't want to be involved in.
Eddie, meanwhile, was having an internal panic at the idea of farming without Auradon conveniences. He doubted they had a tractor, or even a pickup truck. Having to plow and plot the land must've taken weeks of back breaking labor. "I'm so sorry." His apology cut through the onslaught of Kassi and Alicio's questioning, making Montana look at him curiously. Eddie quickly explained, "I grew up on a farm. I think I would end every day on the floorboards if I had to do everything by hand."
The blonde man could only laugh, "We don't know anything else. It's nothing you have to apologize for, and not something we want pity from." Eddie nodded, but clearly wasn't mollified. Montana found himself uncaring and didn't focus on him any longer as he turned to Kassi, "Which, our parents didn't either. We learned from them, and figured out our own ways of doing things too." Fondly, he thought of days spent raking through trash to find everything he needed for his garden. He quickly admitted, "A lot of my own work was trial and error, but think about history. Those are things that couldn't always be forecasted and measured, we just found a way."
His attention turned to Alicio, "If I didn't learn how to cook, I think I would've starved." It was mostly a joke, but there was a twinge of truth to his words. Still, Montana didn't let his grin falter, and quickly found himself teasing his sisters, "These two couldn't be trusted to set foot in a kitchen." He moved away, knowing better than to stay too close to either of them with his words. Better not start brawling in front of the foundlings.
Turning serious, Montana ran over the younger teen's questions in his head, trying to find the best answers. "I'm not sure if anything is exactly popular, or if our food is simply the most edible thing off the isle." He wasn't being humble, he was actually worried that all of these Auradon kids would try his food and immediately tell him how wrong he had gotten the recipe. "I settled on Mexican food because it's the type of food we can get to grow the best, besides the pirate's hemp, and they're the only ones who want to eat birdseed. As I told Kassi, a lot of trial and error on the recipes for everything." He gave his sisters a genuine smile, thinking of how many times he shoved a spoon of foul not-quite-salsa mixture in their face.

b u c h a n n a n Mori Blackbeard and Mino Oldenburg
As Del spoke, Mino nodded along, but chose not to reply. He would get to meet one of their familiar's eventually, and he would happily translate whatever message they felt their witches needed. For now, Azura and Elvira were far too excited for him to have a decent conversation with the Isle witches. He felt a pang, not being able to call Hull back with magic. Mino suddenly felt rather alone, with Hull testing the edges of the barrier. Hopefully he wouldn't get too close, Mino really didn't need to deal with a seagull's concussion.
Mori bit her tongue. She literally bit her tongue, and forced herself not to laugh at Elvira and Billy. It was a pain not to blatantly laugh at their performance. Mori wasn't judging Elvira for being honest, but Billy for making a bigger deal out of it than it was. Had she just let it pass, Mori would've simply thought them as clueless as they seemed. Now she knew that they had gone into this without a plan. She smiled lightly, wanting to press for more information. "We'll ask Fausto, once we're there." Mori confirmed, but then let the topic drop no matter how badly she wanted to ask why. Why they had agreed to come here without a plan, why grown adults thought this had been a good idea, why so many of them were clueless to whatever bigger picture there was.
She did, however, chose to stay out of the talk of the Clawthornes. If she interrupted, she might mention the fact that those three weren't the only ones, and that was far too close to the subject of the firebird's cult. Considering their attitudes within accordance to danger, it wouldn't be long until they found out, but Mori would not be the one to drop the penny on the first day. Anastasia wasn't of much importance, anyways, so long as the Coven kept these four away from her little gang of freaks. She would try to use them as a message to the King, either with their death or manipulation into joining her weird little false religion. Mori knew that she had her own god complex, Kiko had pointed it out a long time ago, but Anastasia really took the cake on that.

t o r t u g a Kore Porter, Dande Darling, and Jamie Hook
"Neverland isn't much fun without Pirates." Dande tried her best to remain cool. She didn't want to look like a nerd. These kids' father had kidnapped her mother, after all. Farris and Akram were going to have a little love fest, but Dande wanted to make sure her family enemies took her seriously. And thought her cool. That was important, obviously. She had gotten all the Lost Boys to find her cool, so it couldn't be that hard to win over a few Pirates. She was confident in herself.
The man leaned over to the first sister to appear and stage-whispered, "Definitely not one of Wendy-Bird's, right?" He figured there had to be more sanctimony from a daughter of someone like that. Hook had never liked the little English girl or her daughter. Turning his attention to the other sister, he continued his little act. "And if she were a Pixie, there'd be wings." His little game was over now, and that's when he gave Dande a legitimate smile, "Did Peter start collecting Lost Girls now?"
The young girl nearly rolled her eyes at his antics, "I see he passed down the dramatics, then." Anything to keep them on their toes, no matter how rude it seemed. Her ploy went well, considering Hook's son only laughed at her little dig at him. "Dande Darling, I'll be sure to pass along your well-wishes to my aunt." At that explanation, he looked legitimately confused. Dande understood, however, considering how little she resembled the rest of her father's family.
"James Hook, the second, but you can just call me Jamie." He bowed rather dramatically, and waved to the girls he had spoken to earlier, drawing them to further attention from the young girl. "My little sisters, Cella and Chrys." Jamie took pride in being the oldest, and hoped neither of them would directly correct him. It's not as if what he said was wrong, he was older than both of them by quite a bit. If 'quite a bit' meant less than an hour, of course. Which it didn't to anyone with logic.

Buchannan Edelweiss "Del" Grimhilde and Elvira Blight
"Whoops," Elvira hardly seemed phased by Billy's reprimand, quickly waving the mistake off with a startling lack of concern. "But we would have had to bring that up sooner or later, anyway. Unless you wanted to go cardboard box camping, Bally." Insubordination aside, the Blight woman wanted to point that out, because it seemed like the girl was more fixated on hiding any and all potential secrets and weaknesses than she was...securing basic amenities. And while Elvira was typically game for not giving any information or forging any bonds with the islanders, she also didn't want to camp in a cardboard box on the side of the road.
She'd tried that once, had to detach a small, hungry demon from her leg, and was promptly forced back inside by the boiling rain. Her brief stint of Freedom had come at the price of permanent burn scars in assorted locations over her body, none of them large or even remotely painful anymore, but still capable of holding their message.
Elvira decided to not dwell on that, though, because it made her uncomfortable, and therefore focused back on the conversation at hand. At the revelation of Clawthornes, the witch clapped happily alongside her cousin. While she wasn't quite here to make nice with old friends, she knew Azura was, and supported her in that quest. Plus, it'd be nice to see how the other witches survived on this island. Probably easily. The Isle hadn't shown her anything more dangerous than they'd dealt with at home. This was nothing.
Del relaxed a little bit at this positive reception, kind of glad that the revelation wasn't met with claims of vengeance and promises of bloodshed. They didn't have time for that.
She hardly wanted to deal with the Clawthornes as it was.
Instead, she smiled and gestured for them to follow them, continuing to explain and talk as long as she wasn't interrupted, pointing out less important buildings as they traveled.
Finally, they reached the library, and Del stopped and turned to her...group of socially inept ducklings. "Alright, let's get in here quickly, before Huo-" She started, opening the door and quickly ushering the kids through the entrance, just barely scooting the last one through before that feathered nuisance came rocketing down the stairs with a scream.
Del rolled her eyes instead of flinching, her internal groan only intensifying when the owner of the library's voice was heard next.
"Well well, now you've done it, Grimhilde," A young boy with the palest hint of blue in his hair appeared from behind a bookshelf, already grinning lazily. "Huo's upset, you know he's the guardian of the library." It was a role his friend took very seriously, and as a result, he had to make sure to avenge his stolen job.
"I didn't particularly feel like a Spanish lesson." The black and blue haired witch shrugged, not particularly upset about hurting the owl demon's feelings, more intent on introducing the transfers than apologizing for saving literally everyone some time. They'd already caught Everett's attention, however, and he took control of the conversation.
"...and what did you and Mori drag in here today, new recruits for your little cult?" The slightly-feral looking boy circled the transfers, pushing his glasses back onto his nose as he studied them closely. "Everett Clawthorne, by the way. Son of Eda Clawthorne and Raine Whispers. I'm the proprietor of this library." His golden eyes lit up when he caught sight of the witchlings, before an exhausted Del cut back in. She needed to interrupt, before the transfers got the wrong idea here. They weren't a cult. If Everett wanted to see a cultist, he need not look further than literally his own family.
"We're a coven, Ev, not a cult. There's a difference-" Again, she was cut off, because Everett knew good and well that Del wouldn't escalate this in front of the transfers.
"Tell me, then, girls, the fundamental difference between Anastasia and Willa?"
Del wanted to point out that Willa wasn't a maniacal, egotistical chicken nugget with a god complex and a murderous streak, but that wasn't an appropriate topic at the moment, so instead she shot an irritable look at her best friend, hoping for some sympathy and the silent permission to scare the hell out of the little runt later, before shrugging...and smiling.
"I guess if you're not interested in meeting some new friends, Ev, I understand. We can always go." Del started to turn, before Everett spoke up again.
"You don't have to go yet, you know I'm just kidding!" And he had been, he swore. He didn't have a lot of people besides his family coming into his library, and the opportunity to meet new people that weren't in either coven was few and far between. "So who all are you four, anyway?" While it wasn't fair to pick favorites, and he was interested in the other two, it'd be a lie to say that he wasn't somewhat MORE interested in the two witchlings in the group.

Southwark Homie Slim, Maggie DunBroch and Kassi Robinson
"Keep your master chef skills, Salsa Boy, Cali and I are good at other things," Homie teased their brother, grinning and elbowing California lightly. "Y'know, like not being nerds." The middle Slimlet actually respected her brother a lot, but she couldn't pass up the opportunity to poke fun at him, a little bit, as she tried to get the group walking again. She did, however, give her brother his due after that. "He's absolutely right though -- if it's not alcohol, I'll make it lethal." She was a hell of a bartender, though, all puns intended. And her right hook? It literally was lethal. Not that she was telling these princes and princesses that right away.
Kassi, meanwhile, looked starstruck. Maggie was pretty sure this was the most focused the girl in the dinosaur hoodie had looked since they left the docks in Auradon, and smiled lightly once it was clear the cow-mobsters weren't offended by the little girl's and Alicio's questions.
"Do you think I could come by your farm later, to take a look at it?" The younger girl of the group played excitedly with the strings of her hoodie, beaming. "I brought some of my testing kits -- I could tell you more about the soil and water and stuff, if you wanted." Maggie blinked, not sure if she was surprised or not that the Robinson girl had the forethought to bring actual tools. From what she knew, and that was precious little, Kassi had been here for the adventure, and didn't even really have a role in the group. Finding out that she had brought the equipment to perform studies of all things here was kind of...surprising.

Tortuga Mair Baron and Akram Agrabah
Akram followed the conversation between Farris and Chrys blithely at first, a bemused smile on his face as he absorbed almost none of what they were saying. Farris was upset about what? The fact he hadn't introduced his parents? That wasn't too bad, none of them had at first. Unless-
Ooooooooooooh.
Akram had emotionally prepared himself to potentially run into a child of Jafar while he was here, and was still caught off guard. The stories he'd heard about the rogue Grand Vizier made him think that his kids would be...well...no offense to Farris...more intimidating. Which wasn't a bad thing. This whole situation, redeeming the kids on the Isle, would be a lot easier to pull off if all their nemeses were gangly fellow nerds. This wasn't too bad.
So, instead, he just grinned and gave Farris a shy pat on the shoulder. "It's alright," He promised, since Farris didn't seem like some evil, power hungry wizard. "I was kind of excited to meet you too!" And he meant that. His parents had obviously warned him about Jafar, and to be wary, but things couldn't be forgiven if he didn't walk into this willing to meet the kids halfway. Everything was fine.
Meanwhile, Cella punched Jamie in the shoulder at the reference to being the "little" sister. She might be minutes younger than the brat, but she could beat him up probably and that's all that mattered there. "I mean technically, even if you aren't a Lost Girl, you're technically a "lost girl", if you don't know where you are?" It had been about thirty seconds, and the middle Hook child had almost forgotten the Darling girl's name. She was forever, mentally, "Lost Girl", whether she was prepared for that or not.
"But are they actually lost with Ferry and I here?" Mair ribbed back lightly, leaning on a trash can.
"Yes." Cella deadpanned, rolling her eye and looking at her siblings. She knew that the boys had been instructed to keep the kids busy for a while, but taking them in the total opposite direction of their goal was sure to raise questions at some point. She turned her attention back to Dande, then, her expression curious. "So what brings you all here? Doesn't seem like a place for princes, princesses, lost girls, or otherwise." Did that come across as unwelcoming? Shit. Um. "No disrespect, obviously. We just didn't really expect, you know." She gestured towards the group of mainland kids, like that explained what she meant. Which, to her, it totally did.

Southwark California Slim, Alicio Bête Alicio couldn't help the smile on his face, feeling a bit goofy and dimwitted for it, but he appreciated the answers. It was oddly comforting to hear Montana joke about it.
He could feel his smile get wider at Montana's jab at his sisters and the return of a tease from them, unable to really help the way his brain fluctuated from sibling to sibling at the tease. From Billy to Adrian to Alexander and Bast and Blanche. Alicio was just hit for the longing of his siblings in watching this trio talk so warmly.
He shook himself off that feeling, choosing to instead focus on the excitement of the answer now that the lead-in joke was out of the way. It perhaps wasn't the most exciting tale, but Alicio was glad to hear it nonetheless.
Mexican food, though. Alicio couldn't wait to try it.
He knew on some level that the Isle wasn't the best place to grow things, if the implications that Montana was throwing out were something to rely on, but Alicio didn't really find that he cared that it may not be top quality vegetables and meats to eat. He was just curious.
He couldn't quite help the bewildered look he tossed Kassi as she spoke up regarding testing kits and soil and water.
Based on the way that California gave a boisterous laugh, she was caught by surprise too. Not a bad surprise if the smile on her face was anything to go by. The Slim vaguely turned her eyes to her siblings, and voicing aloud, "Don't know bout you two, but that certainly sounds interesting to me."
Alicio didn't see the appeal, but each to their own he supposed.

Buchannan Bellamy Bête, Azura Noceda-Blight, Huo Hooterson A screech there was indeed, causing Azura to blink her eyes for a moment as she processed it, grateful for the Boiling Isle and it's habit to throw random, loud noises at anyone around. The side-glance at Billy told her that Auradon didn't offer quite so many chances, as she did flinch. Even if she tried to break it half-way through.
She looked away and towards the stairs as a pitter patter of heavy stomps came down them. A kid rushed by the entire group, hardly looking at them as he went to the door. She could only blink as the kid spun around, one hand on the door handle so they could glare at Del as they opened it up and slammed it shut again with a huff.
He didn't say a word as he crossed his arms with a pout and took a seat where he could in the room, glare softening as he looked away from Del and towards the transfers, face scrunching in confusion instead.
She gave him a small smile and wave before focusing her attention back on Del and... the new person who had joined the gathering. She stared for a moment, trying to recall upon the information they had been told previous to arriving here. Once it clicked, she couldn't help the beaming smile on her face.
So, this was one of the Clawthornes on the Isle.
Billy was unnerved. She didn't know whether to blame the fact that Del was very blase about the fact she has apparently irritated the people in charge of this place or the simple unsettling nature of the people themselves. Or, what was quickly taking over, the conversation that they could really only listen to.
Her gaze bounced back and forth between Del and Everett. Certainly the word 'cult' was an unappealing word, but Billy's concern regarding it merely spiked as Del defended against the claim. She supposed she probably should have been more concerning than she first let the word pass through her mind.
Billy recognized Willa's name in the following response, but not the other one listed. It almost made her want to consider what that quite meant and who that person was. But, she got a bit distracted, head swiveling towards Del as she seemed to hold the transfer's presence over him. Then, of course, it worked.
She still didn't have a chance to back up on the matter as then they were asked a question. Billy at least supposed she had the opportunity to introduce them here. She opened her mouth to begin before... oh dear lord, Azura was looking at her with a begging smile. She let out a sigh and nodded.
She supposed that Azura was a lot more excited about this whole deal than Billy was, and she at least seemed to look for permission to introduce the group. So, why not?
Cause with a large smile, Azura followed through with her silent request. "Hi! We're transfers, from Auradon, and that's Billy, that's Mino, that's my cousin Elvira, and I'm Azura! Azura Noceda-Blight!"

Tortuga Farris Jaohari, Hibiki Hamada, Chrysanthe Hook There was a breath of relief that Farris felt wash over him at Akram's response. It was a lot more relaxed than Farris had feared it would be. After all, Auradon had seemed to ascribe the parent's crimes to the kids, having left them there to rot. It wasn't a long stretch to worry about the idea that the transfers might believe that idea as well.
It was nice to know now that it wasn't going to be a grievously horrendous relationship between him and at least this one specific child of Jasmine and Aladdin. Both for the sake of this whole 'transfers on the Isle' and for personal gratefulness.
So, Farris shot Akram a grin in return, hoping that it conveyed that he felt similarly. He'd genuinely like to talk more with him, albeit, it did partially feel like it would intrude a little too much on the conversation between the Hooks and the Darling.
There was some unique luck at play, he felt, for the connections at play between this group of transfers and the crew. All stemming from times before any of them had been born. He almost wondered if it was on purpose- that whoever arranged the group had known there would be children of enemies interacting.
Until he considered that under normal circumstances, he'd have found himself with the coven rather than the crew, and that he wouldn't have met Akram nearly as quickly in that case. Little curiosities of the world then, Farris would have to put it to.
"I can't imagine anywhere would be much fun without pirates," Chrys pointed out with a grin on her face. Neverland or not, pirates were often the life of a party, in her ever so unbiased opinion.
She gave something of a half-bow at the introduction, curtesy of her brother, allowing Cella to mildly defend them on the point of being triplets. It was fairly misleading calling any of them older or younger since they were effectively the same age, but alas, if any set of siblings could convince the older one of such a cost, that would be a true tale to tell.
She meandered around in listening to Cella turn questions back onto the transfers, grin settling on her face as Mair attempted to defend his and Farris's wonderful skills at leading people people around and then to the rightful, inquisitive question that everyone on the Isle was wondering.
Why were they even here?
The girl with the purple streak in her hair managed to snag a response first, though accompanied by a momentary opening and closing of the mouth as she seemed to try and figure out just what to say. "Research, really," she offered with her eyes cast marginally to the side and with a little shrug to her shoulders. "Everyone has something different that we're keeping an eye out for, write a report on it or something. Came here as a group, staying together, gonna leave eventually."
Chrys managed to prevent standing up straight and backing up to her siblings with a frown on her face by a thin margin. She couldn't necessarily say that her smile didn't get tighter at the words, but who was to blame her.
Research. Of course. Obviously. Duh. Shame on her for expecting it to be something less... dehumanizing.
Her eyes flashed back to the girl, mentally scolding herself for looking away at that, though she didn't seem to notice. A side glance at Farris told her that he had. His face and managed to go more neutral, though likely less offended-looking than hers at the same words as well.
And she just pushed on with her words anyway, "I'm personally here for technology, advancements, the like. San Fran background, and all that..." her tone at least started to draw off, but Chrys couldn't really tell if it was in noticing some people's less than happy moods at the thought or if- well, if her glance at her companions had anything to say about it, if it had to do with them introducing their own topics of study and research.
How great.

s o u t h w a r k Montana Slim and Eddie Radcliffe
Montana wondered idly if this had been their plan all along. Let everyone be warm and greet each other with open arms, and then bam, they're all test subjects. So long as it was just the soil, Montana didn't care if some preteen in a dinosaur hoodie was testing out the farm. It wouldn't been until these strangers started poking him with needles that he would start to worry.
On the other side of it, Eddie was genuinely impressed that Kassi was following through on her excuse to be here. He had brought some of his vet tech tools, but honestly most of his suitcase was food. He hadn't really thought any of them were going to actively use the excuse to come over. He probably should intervene, tell them that he could come along and check on any animals they had. Just so Kassi had some back up.
Which is where inline the problem.
Eddie didn't have the kinds of tools he needed to check on farm animals. He could check if their hearts sounded okay, and now their breathing was. Stitch up any small surface wounds, but that was about it. He hadn't brought any medication, nor anything that he could diagnose health problems with. If he was sure it was safe, he would let Kassi go on her own. These were just kids themselves, they weren't going to attack Kassi.
"I'm fine with it if you are," Montana said with a quick look at his sisters. California had already given her consent, and Junior wouldn't mind knowing which soil had the best growth potential. He would be less fine with #1 dinosaur fan over there sticking things into his plants, though. He turned around but contiuned to walk backwards as he spoke to Kassi, "Nothing in the salsa garden, though. The plants can't handle anyone taking samples. It could kill them." Which, it really might. His plants were touchy like that.

b u c h a n n a n Mori Blackbeard and Mino Oldenburg
All of a sudden, Mori remembered why she hated the Clawthornes. Everett wasn't as bad has his family members, but he was still bad. Prime example: Comparing Willa to Anastasia. As if the Coven could be thought of as a worshiping Willa. Half the time their fearless leader had baby sick on her clothes. Willa didn't pretend that she was something she wasn't. She wasn't worshipped, she didn't play God. She was there as a teacher, healer and leader. Willa was good for the town, and the Clawthorne boy could honestly shove right off.
Since her tongue already hurt, Mori picked at her nails during this conversation. She couldn't speak without wanting to snap at all of them, and it was clear that the Blight cousins wanted to meet others from their realm. Hopefully, the time wasted would be worth it. She looked at Mino and Billy, trying to gauge their reactions, but found Mino looking at her—or no, them? Mostly, Del then. Mori didn't laugh at that, she didn't. It was a cough, and it started Mino out of his staring. At least he stopped before Del noticed. She raised an eyebrow at him, and he quickly looked away, trying to act like he had been paying attention to the conversation while clearly having no idea what was going on.
Which was mostly fine, because it wasn't like Everett was concerned with him either.

t o r t u g a Kore Porter, Dande Darling, and Jamie Hook
At Hibiki's words, Dande felt the mood shift entirely. It wasn't going well over there, then. She couldn't imagine why. Maybe San Fransokyo residents had developed a foot-in-mouth syndrome and were now cursed to blurt out things that will definitely make everyone else uncomfortable. So, she leaned in towards the pirates, "I'm here to take samples of the water." Then, she lowered her voice into somewhat of a stage whisper, "And definitely not to meet pirates."
Jamie cracked a smile, but that's when Kore shot back into the conversation and agreed wholeheartedly, "Yes! Pirates, with the swinging, and the fighting, and the mad adventures." She nodded enthusiastically, practically vibrating out of her skin with her excitement, and asked, "Do you have like, a ropes course set through the docks? Like to swing from boat to boat?" If she couldn't swing in the jungle, she could at least have fun with the pirates. They seemed like a wild sort.
The pirate clearly looked more at ease with their answers, but he hadn't felt used like the others. It only made sense that they were here on some official business, though he had no idea why they cared now. Two decades go by and suddenly they wanted to know how livable this place really was? Sketchy. Jamie didn't trust any of it. He had learned enough about colonialism to know better than to trust research missions.
"A report or something, sounds fascinating." He mocked, not caring if he sounded like a jerk to someone so desensitized to the fact that real people lived on this isle. But he leaned closer to Dande, "I can probably help with yours'. There are some places I'd know you'd love. Filled with, let's call them fish." Were pirates close enough to fish that she would understand what he meant? She seemed smart enough to understand his code.

Buchannan Edelweiss "Del" Grimhilde, Everett Clawthorne, and Elvira Blight
Everett was visibly excited by this news, and Del wasn't sure she'd ever seen the lazy, usually hangdog looking librarian look anything more than tired, or rarely, scornful. But here, he gave a small jump and took Azura's hands, eyebrows shooting up and a smile showing on his face. "You are?! We'll have to talk more! And-and, you'll have to meet my mom too, she's wanted to know how your moms have been holding up back home. She'll be so excited to meet you!" He paused to awkwardly adjust his glasses, because he didn't mean to make it sound like he wasn't also excited to see her, or that he wasn't excited to meet her cousin as well. "Obviously, I'm also excited to talk to you both as well, I just know we heard out about all this going down, and mom was talking about how great it'd be to see if any of our folks came by, you know..." He explained, shrugging apologetically.
"We'd be glad to catch up, Ev - can I call you Ev? But we also have to settle in here, first, y'know?" It could be easily looked over, but was the look that Elvira shot her cousin a little more tense than the usually smug, playful expression she wore? Or the casual arm around Azura's shoulder maybe not being as casual as it looked? A quiet reminder, specifically between the two cousins. A personal one, and not even related to Elvira's mission. Luz and Amity's state...wasn't the best, right now, and while Elvira was pretty sure she didn't need to remind Azura, who obviously lived with her mothers, it could also just be easy to get caught up with mildly familiar faces and suddenly start spilling information that...might not need to be spilled to strangers right now. To Everett and Huo, to Del and Mori, or even the other transfers around them. Belos's tight grip on their families were stressful, but also something that the others might not need to know. "We'll definitely have to come back here and visit you and your mom though, right Azura?" That was one mission accomplished -- her baby cousin had come here to find Clawthornes, and by the Titan, had they actually in fact found a Clawthorne on day one. He even seemed like a fun guy, which was great. It'd be lame if they came all this way for Eda's kid to be a loser that didn't fight authority.
Del looked at Mori's "cough" curiously, too distracted by that to notice Mino looking at her, or Elvira being weird. Not that she'd pick up on that last one, considering the woman had been a weird wildcard the entire...what...forty five minutes she'd known her? She was more concerned on if Mori's cough was actually a cough, or just Mori being a shithead.
Considering this was her best friend, she was going to guess the latter, and Del started trying to pay attention to the surrounding conversation to figure out what had Mori laughing.

Tortuga Mair Baron, Cella Hook and Akram Agrabah
The mood shifted drastically with Hibiki's admitted goal, here, and Mair mildly wished that Auradon had taught them to be better liars. He had asked the question, and he had wanted the truth, but he also didn't like the feeling of being watched and studied. A lab rat for a more powerful force.
Pushing down some...unsavory associations he had with that experience, he tried to force the smile back into his eyes, chirping helpfully along with, "We'll try to help you with what we can, aye? After all, if you tell us what's wrong, we might know what to fix, right guys?" What to fix, whether that was a few minor changes, or outright holding their new friends against their will until their parents caved to their demands or better living quarters, whichever seemed best. "I'm guessing your other friends, too, going into the other neighborhoods, are up to the same thing?" He raised his eyebrow, already planning on talking about this with Isabeau and Cliff, and finding someone to ask about this in the coven. Maybe Mori, although he didn't know how forthright she'd be in giving him that information. Maybe Fausto, who tended to blab about anything he knew, like an amateur, for money. Or maybe Tait, who was just a sweetheart and he could hang out with him, and he'd have heard something if Mori had.
"Pardon me tor asking," Cella piped up, not really caring if she was pardoned at all. "But what do you guys actually know about here, anyway?" They knew there were three groups, clearly, because none of them seemed shocked when three total groups of strangers scooped them up. This didn't really detract from her normally happy demeanor going neutral, maybe a little bit sour. Experiments, really? Her good eye rolled slightly, not sure what she should have expected here.
"Ah...they didn't actually give us a ton of information to start with..." Akram was the one to answer this time, a little shy after the blatant mood shift in the group. Briefly, he wondered why Hibiki was put in charge of their group -- she was a princess, sure, and he'd actually seen a lot of her because of that, but she seemed quiet and shy at best, and maybe not the most tactful of people in the conversation. Didn't they test for things like this before giving actual leadership roles in a critical mission like this? Getting the Isle kids too upset would jeopardize the mission, and possibly make it to where they couldn't bring these poor guys home. "But I'm a doctor, or, I'm studying to be one. I was hoping to come here to maybe help you guys out...?" He admitted awkwardly, because this wasn't a lie. Sure, it wasn't his sole motive for helping these kids, he wanted them off the Isle, and into somewhere less...dangerous, to say the least. But his skills were a little more practical than most of the others, and he tried to give their new schoolmates a reassuring smile. "How about you guys? Is there anything you're really interested in? What do you all do for fun around here?" Because he wanted to hear about them too. The questions, so far, had mostly been for them, which was fine, they were the intruders after all, but they were supposed to be here to make friends. And that meant actually knowing something about the people they were trying to befriend, right?

Southwark Homie Slim, Maggie DunBroch and Kassi Robinson
Kassi's eyes lit up as Homie shrugged agreeably. The cowgirl didn't care if this kid played around in the dirt a little bit, especially if she could figure out more about it along the way. It seemed pretty harmless at the end of the day, and already, these kids were growing on her. They didn't seem particularly out to demean them or offend them, or even hurt them in any way.
Not that any of these nerds could hurt Homie or her siblings, she'd break their jaw the second they tried, and that was a promise.
But so far, she didn't sense the need to, and instead, kept the conversation moving onward.
"So, is there anywhere y'all would be interested in seeing?" She started, since this was a tour, friendly banter aside. "Apart from the only edible food on the Isle -- in Montana's not so humble opinion -- we have other restaurants, a club, a bar..." Homie's attention briefly moved to her brother again, remembering. "Did Carmen get the casino fixed back up?" She didn't elaborate further on this point, but let the point stand. Farm boy...Edwin or whatever his name was...was interested in meeting de Vils, and that was, in fact, about as de Vil as you could get, a building ran by one of them.
Not that there weren't seven of them, but Carmen seemed like the best bet there, as Collie was too busy to meet the transfers until tomorrow and would probably be pissed if they brought the gang to her tonight, Cliff might be a little much of an introduction, considering he was Cliff, and Chester was just...very hard to find.
"Is there anythin' like a place to stay, possibly? We don't have much planned in way of accommodations." Maggie gave a small "what're you gonna do in these situations?" sort of shrug with an apologetic smile, already liking these cowfolk. "Goin' ta admit, the briefin' for this whole thing was...kinda bleak." Which wasn't a lie, or even a half truth. Sure, she couldn't blow the actual mission to their new allies yet, but she'd damn sure complain about Beast's piss poor attempt at relaying information. Because that wasn't information that could put them in anything more than the Islanders' good graces, since it was borderline unanimous that the Beast was kind of garbage. "If our lack of organization dinnae tip you off before." This little dig at the whole mission was coupled with a stage whisper towards California, who wasn't currently discussing the casino and seemed a better bet to receive the whole joke.

Buchannan Bellamy Bête, Azura Noceda-Blight, Huo Hooterson It was hard to calm down the smile on Azura's face as Everett confirmed some information that Azura really really really wanted to hear. Eda remembered and cared about her moms! Hopefully just as much as they cared about her in return, but Azura would take even an ounce of that care and run for miles with it. It was great news to her.
She was about to speak, to energetically agree with it. She couldn't wait to get to know Eda and King and- and all of them! Everett included, since he was essentially family. Eda was her mama's family, and so, Eda's family was obviously Azura's as well. She just wanted to talk freely and-
Depressing thoughts hit her mind just as Elvira seemed to tense. The overactive smile almost dropped entirely, Azura barely maintaining a sheepish little quirk to her lips. It could be played off easily. Azura just happened to forget that she didn't currently have all the time in the world, and Elvira's words just happened to remind her. Her energy dropped because she was embarrassed. Her energy did not drop because of something else.
She couldn't remember the last time she really talked freely. It hadn't ever really been encouraged in her childhood. Too many eyes, too many ears. She never knew who was watching. The Isle was a safe place. No magic inside meant no magic looking in. It was the first time she'd really be able to talk.
And even then, she couldn't really. It didn't take much thought at all for Azura to understand Elvira's look, her body language, the silent meaning behind unspoken words. Even in a place that should have been free from his oversight, his command, he still had control. Admitting that she, or her cousin, were in any part associated with a tyrant such as him- especially to friends from the Boiling Isles- was something better left quiet. At least for now while meeting everyone was still new.
Azura also just... didn't want to see a look of resignation or disappointment from Eda or the others when they learned just what her moms had to do to keep alive. She didn't want to see it aimed towards her- she who would join the Emperor's coven when the trip was over and she had two feet back on Auradon.
She didn't nod or make an outward acknowledgement of Elvira's message to her aside from the drop of a smile, hoping she would understand that Azura understood. She could stay quiet on that. 'Family matters' it was, even if the Clawthornes should have been considered family.
She gave a small huff of a laugh when Elvira nudged her to acknowledgment, something small and perhaps a bit too pitiful. "We'll seek you out as soon as the nearest opportunity arises for us," she promised, if softly.
Unfortunately, she wasn't the only one to seem to recognize this as the closing of their visit. Elvira made sure of that, with the guarantee of a future visit as opposed to the present. The child who had been grumpily sitting in the corner in confusion had gotten up, shifted towards the door as if preparing for a goodbye. A fond feeling rose in her chest as she realized that the kid was likely the child of Hooty, if the firm grip and obsession with opening and closing the door was anything to go by. He must not want someone to steal his job again given the way his hand was clasped around the doorknob.
She really wanted to just stay, even if she knew the natural progression was to leave.

Tortuga Farris Jaohari, Hibiki Hamada, Chrysanthe Hook Hibi wanted to throw her arms into the air and ask them what exactly they were expecting to hear. She didn't because this entire group was trying to get past this newfound tension, and she knew asking that would be going in the opposite direction. Contrary to what might be the current belief in the group, she didn't want to make things worse between themselves and the Isleborn.
But, they asked a question and Hibi was inclined to answer- if it wasn't her, it'd be one of the others, and she'd like to see how they'd spin going to the Isle to do research to be a good thing. It wasn't even like she was the one who decided that this was what they'd be telling the Isle kids either!
Albeit, she didn't think "vacation" or "it seemed like a good time of year to come over" or "beast wanted to know just how well his glorious plan of killing a bunch of people and their kids through starvation and poverty was going". She didn't even think they'd like the real answer when they heard it. That this was really to see if the kids of villains were decent enough people to bring back to Auradon. Surely that wouldn't feel just as demeaning.
Sure, maybe there were people on this trip that didn't care about that "needs to be a good person" amendment to the reason they were there, Hibi considered as she watched Akram try to repair the situation, but it didn't change the fact that was part of this mission.
She settled for staying silent, arms crossed, and merely nodding a confirmation at Mair's question. She didn't want to screw things up further, after all.
The bite to Jamie's words and the way Cella breezed through her question should have had Chrys more concerned about the situation at hand, to tense up further. But, there was a sense of comfort in hearing her siblings go on a casual defensive.
Chrys was able to breathe in a little easier and let a relaxed smile grace her face. Something more lax, though she couldn't help it if teeth showed just a little too much. She had to match her sibling's energy in some way, right?
She tilted her head a little towards Kore, the response on her lips coming easy. "If we don't already have one, it'll likely be easy enough to set it up. Think Ian will let us set something up like that for the transfers, Mair?" She couldn't personally recall the status of such things, but regardless, there was a solid chance that, even if they already had such a course, they'd need to make another more Auradon-friendly one. If they were really serious bout that.
Then there was the half-hearted nod to Mair's question- something that felt more like the higher-ups in the crew's concern more than hers. Especially with the way that Farris made a glance from Hibi to Mair upon the confirmation.
Though... Chrys had to admit, she'd like to see the looks on some of the other gang member's faces upon hearing that they were being studied for a research project. It was a funny concept, if she excluded the whole discomforting feelings behind it at any rate.
Ah, and then there was the response to her lovely sister's question.
Well, there was a proper answer at least, Chrys supposed. More luck than what Mair had.
That thought left room for a more proper grin to grow on Chrys’s face as she took in the information. The transfers came in blind, but better yet- the Tortuga crew had at least one person who was here to be helpful, as opposed to being strictly scientific or view them as fun activities to hang around with. It would have been nice to have four out four, but it did put Akram on a higher bar than the others off the bat.
She wouldn’t admit that it helped that he asked questions that were so easily answered in a way that Chrys enjoyed playing upon. “Aside from being interested in getting to know you better?” It was all too easy to let it slip with a sly wink to join it.
It got a snort of laughter from Farris, a good sign, who followed her unsubtle flirt with his own answer. "Someone's always doing something around here, and anyone from our crew will be more than happy to include you if you ask. Hang around on the ship it's more than likely they'll ask you to join in. I wouldn't say there's anything in specific we do for fun, rather, what's fun about it is getting to spend time with one another."
There was a small moment of silence before Chrys let out a burst of laughter and lightly nudged his arm, "That's so cheesy. I'll give you one better- we like to drink and we like to brawl. And all that other stuff, I guess."

Southwark California Slim, Alicio Bête California snorted at Montana's amendment to Kassi coming over to the farm. Not that she would blame him at all. She certainly wasn't willing to touch those plants and risk ruining one of the best sources of food they had.
At Homie's words, California piped up fairly quickly, "Carmen's got it fixed up- what, haven't been yet since it re-opened, huh, Homie?" with a teasing grin tossed her sister's way.
She shook it off after, noting the way that one of the transfers was likely opening his mouth to respond to the question Homie directed towards them- wherever were they supposed to go first. "How bout we bring them to Big Fork, 'specially after all our talking grand bout it, ey?"
It probably would have been more polite to offer the choice to the transfers, but the day was only so long and her brother's restaurant was gonna hold the most importance in the upcoming day. Better to show them where it was than just tell them, after all.
California wasn't fond of idea of a dinner party starting late because all the guests couldn't find the building.
Maggie's not-so-quiet comment got a laugh out of California at any rate, picking it up at the end there. The question that preceded the comment though got something of a sheepish smile on the mafia member's face. "A place to stay, huh? Sorry to say, don't know if we'll have anything to help you by the end of the day. Haven't much prepared any hotels- haven't had much of a need for them till now, ya get?" Which was an oversight, but there really wasn't much they could have done on such short notice.
Sure, they could try to kick some poor soul out of house and home and cramp a bunch of kids in any one of the houses in Southwark, but that seems asking for trouble and a hassle that would take too long before the transfers already found a place somewhere else.

t o r t u g a Kore Porter, Dande Darling, and Jamie Hook
Doc, Wildcard, Baby Monkey and Evil Scientist. Jamie wasn’t about to tell the last one her nickname, but it’d be funny to see how long it took the youngest one to understand what her new name meant. She was going to be one of them, without a doubt. He’d let Mair answer his sister’s question, but the answer felt obvious. Ian would let them do whatever they wanted, really. If it made them happy, and didn’t lead to anyone seriously injuring themselves, it had a 99.9% chance of happening. Ian had big brother energy where nothing was off the table.
“Don’t brawl Tana though,” Jamie cut in with a playful look to the youngest transfer. “She never learn to stop biting.” He cracked a grin, even if it wasn’t a joke. Even stuck in human form, Tana still had canines and sharp nails. Ian tried his best to scold her when she went full Bear on someone, but he was also a pushover when it came to his adopted siblings. Everyone in the crew was important, but Tana and Tiago, the ones that truly became his siblings were on another level. As an older brother, Jamie couldn’t blame Ian for the special treatment. He wouldn’t expect his sisters to listen to a thing he commanded.
They’d probably laugh if he tried.
With Farris’ words, Dande couldn’t hold back her smile. She had been hoping for a very open relationship between the transfers and the pirates. They were going to have a blast. Brawling and drinking were fun, sure, but Farris had made it clear that wasn’t the only thing, no matter what Chrys and Jamie had teased them with. The Neverland girl wasn't going to hide her excitement.
“I don’t know, I think coming back and telling Maggie that I won a fight with a bear would make her go feral,” Kore added with a smile, looking at her fellow transfers. She knew the Isle kids wouldn’t understand, but they would eventually. It sent a vibe of intrigue, since the Hook son had raised his eyebrows at the challenge. She was Lady of the Jungle, family of the Apes and granddaughter of Kerchak. A bear wasn’t going to scare her off.
Jamie shook his head before turning to Farris, “What’s the next stop? Blackbeard’s? The Prep? Don’t go to the Inlet, he’s not there.” Jamie warned, thinking of the other places they could show the Auradon kids. The beach wasn’t a vacation spot, it was usually filled with trash and smelled. Goblin Docks weren’t safe, not for these kids, even with Mair there. Smee-Mart was always a good stop, Uncle S was always a friendly face.

b u c h a n n a n Mori Blackbeard and Mino Oldenburg
Mori raised an eyebrow to her friend’s pointed look, but she wasn’t about to point out the Auradon kid’s behavior. Not only would that be rude, considering he was right there, but it would be more fun for Del to figure that out on her own. Or, at least, watch him try to go after her friend and fail miserably. Ultimately, his crush at first sight would end badly for him, but she wouldn't mind some popcorn to watch the show. Del wouldn’t get hurt by some random dude thinking she was attractive and giving her attention. Well, Mori grimaced at the thought. That wasn’t exactly true, but could the same thing happen twice in a row? Del didn’t have that bad of luck.
There was a lull in the conversation that Mori took like it was the only thing keeping her afloat, “If you’re ready, we have more to show you.” She gave a light smile, although her words didn’t sound like the suggestion she had tried to make them. She wanted to leave. The library was boring, Everett was rude and she knew better Clawthornes. Like Marchio. Oh!! Mori turned to the twins, a real smile finally making an appearance, “I go to the Port often, I can try to drag King’s son over so you can meet him.” She turned her eyes to Everett while her smile turned mischievous, even though it was clear to anyone who knew her where she was going with this, “He’s my favorite Clawthorne.”
Mino decided to have a healthy fear of Mori. It had gotten to the point where he had to admit that she struck a little fear down his spine every time she paid him attention. The longer he could avoid them figuring out who his parents were, the better.

s o u t h w a r k Montana Slim and Eddie Radcliffe
On the other side of it, Eddie was genuinely impressed that Kassi was following through on her excuse to be here. He had brought some of his vet tech tools, but honestly most of his suitcase was food. He hadn't really thought any of them were going to actively use the excuse to come over. He probably should intervene, tell them that he could come along and check on any animals they had. Just so Kassi had some back up.
“I’m always up to show off my holy place,” Montana smirked, hoping to embarrass his sisters with his corny jokes. Montana almost laughed at his own thought, since it had accidentally been another pun, but thankfully he had a little more self control than that. It had more to do with the fact that the other Slims would've absolutely ragged on him for it, but what they didn't know couldn't hurt him.
He did, however, take offense to his sister doubting his restaurant. While he was fair game, there was no reason to bring the businesses into this. “There are not enough words, in any language, that can properly describe Big Fork to my baby’s full potential.” He looked genuinely put out, even though he had wanted to keep things light for the transfers. He couldn't help himself, a protective motherly instinct rearing it's head anytime someone tried to bash Big Fork. Which, was rare. Even the Captain didn't try it, and he was banned.
Rightfully banned, but still. Banned with respect to the restaurant.
Eddie was more focused on the lack of place to stay than Montana’s bravado. He wasn’t about to let these kids sleep on the street, none of them would make it. At least two would end up with pneumonia. If the others didn’t find something, he was going to have to make a big deal out of it. “Does the school have any empty rooms?” It was a long shot, but it was better than telling the techno kids that they had to camp it out. He had no faith in their ability to set up a tent. He was luck to have the Beast Scouts with him, but they could only do so much.

Tortuga Mair Baron, Cella Hook and Akram Agrabah
"Maggie's already feral, Kore, she'd probably just hear about it and come wrestle Tana anyway." Akram's words were light and easy, more making a joke than actually trying to offend. He actually had a pretty high opinion of the Scottish girl. She was, in fact, at least slightly feral in his opinion, but she functioned well with it, so who was he to judge? She had her own thing going, and was clearly trustworthy enough to be brought in as a second in command on this trip.
At Chrys's words, however, his mind made a little bit of a record scratch, and the prince looked lightly alarmed for a moment. "Well- ah- we are here to make friends, so if you want to hang out later...?" Not his smoothest, and frankly he had no idea if Chrys was hitting on him or if she was just being friendly. Girls didn't usually hit on him, this was uncharted territory. So it was best to keep it neutral, that way in case she was just being friendly, then he didn't entirely look like an idiot.
This did not mean that at least some of their new Isle friends didn't think he looked like an idiot. Cella coughed into her hand, trying not to embarrass the kid further. "Maybe the Prep would be a good first stop? It's close, after all, and you guys are attending school here, yeah?" This question was posed with a look towards the transfers, not sure how old they were or if they would actually attend school. Heroes looked down on truancy, right?
Mair took a moment to collect himself from before, before giving an actual useful answer. "The Prep might be the best choice, aye, mostly because we'd have the most luck finding Ian there. If he's unoccupied, he might be taking a look at things, making sure everything's good around the docks. And it is closer." Because Cella hadn't been wrong about that point, either.

Buchannan Edelweiss "Del" Grimhilde, Everett Clawthorne, and Elvira Blight
Elvira noted Azura's smile, and honestly felt bad at how deflated she looked. That hadn't necessarily been her intention, just to lightly warn her cousin to not spread too much information too soon. They needed to play their cards close to their chests for a little while, especially around these other transfers. Letting their allegiance -- forced or otherwise -- to Emperor Belos slip to the entire group might not be the best move to play, especially when Elvira had her own orders she had to fulfill. She patted her younger cousin's shoulder -- she was just a kid, she should be allowed to be excited about something -- in hopes of taking the sting out of her quiet warning. Her own usually wild, careless smile had returned fully. "Yeah! We'll remember where the library is, and come back to visit you later, Ev. We've got 20 years of catching up to do, it sounds like!" Because truly, they did. Mission or no mission of Elvira's, Azura had her own mission, and that was to reunite with the Clawthornes. And the rest of this mission could go to hell if need be, in fact, Elvira would prefer that. But her baby cousin's mission should succeed. She should get to have this.
If Everett was annoyed by not being the best Clawthorne, he didn't show it. Mostly, because he sort of agreed. Marchio and Huo were both cool, even if a lot of the islanders didn't agree, so Mori was only trying to jab him with something that...actually wasn't a sore spot. "Of course! You're both welcome here any time you feel like dropping by. Preferably with friendlier company." This was met with a pointed, forced smile at the two Coven girls. They didn't normally get on his nerves, but today they did. Even if they brought family to visit.
If Del were being completely honest, picking a favorite Clawthorne was like picking your favorite infectious disease. That is, to say, the bar was low. Marchio was, at least, not in the cult, or permissive of the cult. Being a pirate instead of a creepy bird worshipping weirdo did actually put points in his favor. So she had nodded along to Mori's depiction of Marchio as the favorite.
Favorite didn't mean Del had to actually like any of them.
"Where do you think we should go next? I doubt Willa's made it back to the school yet." And Del wanted to give her ample time to see Wyn, and make sure she was okay before dealing with this. "Are you guys hungry? We do actually have a tea shop, we could stop by there?" Del could count on Maddie, and probably Ebby, to actually not cause distrust towards the coven with a visit. Mostly Maddie, because she'd definitely be there, but she'd bet money that her brother was there, too, which was safe. It felt a little ironic, asking these obviously well-fed kids if they were hungry, but it was just basic politeness.

Southwark Homie Slim, Maggie DunBroch and Kassi Robinson
"Hey now, I'm a busy woman." Homie felt the need to defend why she hadn't visited the casino just yet. After all, she was working three different businesses, between the gym, the Dancefloor, and her...er...tax specialist career for the mafia. "I haven't had time to visit yet, so now would be as good a time as any, yeah?" After all, Carmen seemed pretty proud of the work she'd put into restoring the casino, and that Collie had the faith in her at all to let her take over the old place. Homie adored her brother's girlfriend. She was sweet, and clever, and a whole lot of fun.
But she was also flighty, and a bit of a trouble magnet.
That being said, dating Montana seemed to be good for her, and maybe actually having something to be in charge of, and look out for the well being of, would have a similar effect.
Meanwhile, Kassi nodded along eagerly to Montana's stipulations. "Of course! I wouldn't want to damage the fragile ecosystem of the salsa garden, especially when you put so much work into it." And the small girl in the dinosaur hoodie meant it, too. "So does everything from your farm go into supplying just Big Fork? Or do you supply the entire Isle?" It was cool and encouraging, seeing how these kids took a horrible situation and were starting to learn to adapt. One could call Kassi a space cadet all they wanted, but between the farm information, the mention of businesses, and just her observations of the buildings around them, these kids had slowly started to build their own actual society, throwing off the curse of plague and pollution that Beast had enforced on them. It was incredible, even if it wasn't quite enough to say things were fine.
"As for spare rooms," Homie added, for Eddie's sake. "The school might have some, the casino might have some, if you didn't mind being split up, there are places you could technically go."
