Southwark California Slim, Alicio Bête "That'd certainly be a dream, huh," California joked in turn. She understood the stress that was on them with the upcoming group of kids coming to the Isle. But, in her ever so wise opinion, also understood that if they didn't try to relax a little bit, the tension and stress may still roll off and the transfers were going to notice. She was pretty sure half of this welcoming job was to be, well, welcoming. Stiff, awkward attempts at doing that didn't come across as well as natural comfortableness. California supposed that if Montana didn't lighten up, her and Homie could take that on as Montana did his spiel about the dinner and invitations. -- Alicio was absolutely bewildered by Kassie's line of questioning. Maybe he just didn't understand what she was getting at but it seemed absolutely contradictory. "Why would a barrier that suppresses mutations also cause mutations? Wouldn't that be counterproductive?"She was right in not knowing what would be waiting for them on the Isle. The fact that his father had contact with Yen Sid implied that there were living beings though, so... that was something? Alicio would be pretty disappointed if they all went to the Isle only for it to be deserted and littered with the remains of villains and Yen Sid sitting in a house with a cup of tea and a grin at the effort that was wasted over the trip.

s o u t h w a r k Montana Slim and Eddie Radcliffe
"Soft rich kids who are used to getting everything they want, and can get away with anything they decide to do," Montana reminded his sisters. He knew they were just joking to get rid of the fear, but it wasn't the time to rely on humor. This was a serious matter. They could destroy everything on the Isle. If one of them got offended and decided to act on that anger, there was nothing to be done. They could do whatever they want, as they had the power in this situation.
He ran a hand through his hair as he made his way to the outer rim of Southwark's unseen borders. They would check to see how far they still were from anchoring out from the best vantage point in their territory before making any further moves. "One wrong word or act and they could have us killed." For some reason, it felt like Montana was the only one freaked out about that fact. Both of his sisters seemed energized to go meet everyone. Collie was throwing them a dinner party.
Montana was fairly certain that everyone he knew had lost their minds.
The blonde glanced at Homie, then California, and decided that he needed to be strong for them. If they were going to joke about this, he was going to make sure they didn't end up assassinated by any royal families upset that some villain kid wrecked their child's life. Knowing his sisters, it was entirely possible. Montana would actually be surprised if Homie didn't end up punching one of them. There was a level of entitlement that had to come from growing up on Auradon, and that was a recipe for disaster. - - - "There are supplies run to the Isle fairly often," Eddie pointed out with a raised eyebrow, wondering who was giving this girl her information. He wished he could give into her imagination, but he didn't want anyone walking onto the isle with any ideas of mutated people. "It stands to reason that the Goblins would've mutated, if anyone else. They come into contact more with the barrier than anyone else." As far as he knew, the Goblins were fine. For, well, Goblins.

t o r t u g a Kore Porter and Dande Darling
"That'd be so cool!" Kore grinned, moving over to sit next to her fellow Englishwoman. She nudged Dande's shoulder, and the younger girl looked like she was about to murder her for the action. Dande truly wasn't in the mood to be talked to, let alone touched. Kore didn't mind her mood, however, and simply laughed at the aggression. Kore turned her attention back onto Akram, since they would surely have the better conversation.
"I agree with you, for whatever record there is." Sure, there was bound to be some sort of negativity that came from being raised with nothing while knowing that there was better out there, but surely some of them had accepted their situation and decided to make the best of it. They had no way of knowing how good or bad the Isle really was. "There's a level of human resilience, I'd say." Her father had thrived in the jungle with absolutely nothing. Surely, with their houses and schools, these people had a level of comfort, no matter how small.
Dande had apparently been listening to their conversation, because she snorted at the idea.
"Just because they are able to survive and make a life here doesn't mean they won't be bitter about the life stolen from them," Dande practically growled out her input. She didn't like the idea that anyone thought these kids would be nice. They didn't need to be nice. Growing up like this, they would need to be rough and ready for anything at a moment's notice. Only the strong would be accepted. That changed a person. "I'm not saying they won't be good people, I'm saying that they're not going to meet our standards of polite, nice or normal."

b u c h a n n a n Mori Blackbeard and Mino Oldenburg
"Privileged. Entitled. Arrogant. Royalty and riches will do that to you." Mori thought of Del's own mother, someone who was once a Queen. The woman who had it all, before her vanity and jealousy got the best of her. The idea of a young woman being better than her had forced Grimhilde into desperate acts of self destruction. There were a handful of royalty on the Isle, all of them just as conceited as ever. It was a trait they shared with most villains, but Mori felt that a level of that came from how they were raised.
As for why they were here, none of them knew for certain. They wouldn't know, until one of the newcomers slipped up. Mori wasn't even sure any of her theories made sense. Why would any of these kids, who had everything, want to come where there was nothing. They couldn't get the latest fashion, let alone good food. Had they even put any thought into coming to an Isle were they barely had the supplies to feed themselves? Why Beast would send over more mouths to feed was lost on her.
"It's not as simple as a trip to a zoo, you know?" Mori started off with, letting her thought process stream as she tried to form the words into something logical. "They can't look at us like we're a circus. They have to be in it, so it's not for simple entertainment." That would've been too simple, and too risky. Beast wouldn't have allowed it just for curiosity. He talked to Yin Sid for that sort of thing. "Maybe there's something Beast wants he can't trust Yin Sid to get so this is a cover? Or he's trying to find a reason to destroy the prison, and kill us all. One of these kids get hurt and we're all dead."
- - - Mino watched the barrel lid fly with disinterested eyes. It played out exactly how he had assumed, and it wasn't something to lose his mind over. He just hoped that Elvira didn't try again with something else. As the barrier came closer, his eyes drifted around the clear magic that was attached to it. All in all, it was a remarkable thing. Magic that cancelled magic. A dead spot in the middle of the ocean. Mino almost laughed. "I'll be fine, I tend to lose the feeling when I'm human anyways. I don't have the level of magic that they do," Mino pointed out, with a quick look to the real witches on the boat. He didn't envy them, with their deep connection to magic. It was apart of them, like being a merman was apart of him. That was going to be the real loss: his tail. Mino might cry when he got into the water and couldn't transform. It was really more of an inevitability than a probability. There would be tears, it was simply a question of how long he could last.

f o r e s t Ian Salazar and Willa Sanderson
Willa scoffed, eyes narrowed. She didn't trust Collie's garbage comment at all. Who was she to determine what was useful and what wasn't? They were all leaders, in their own right, even the mangey wolf. Jace was asking questions that were important, especially because Willa hadn't exactly sent out that memo about what she'd gotten out of the old man. "Yin Sid would've said that, if it was all it was." Another Tana, another mouth to feed, more prisoners'. None of them would be here, right now, if that's all it was.
"Thank you for housing them," Willa offered to Ian, softly, in order to keep the peace. She had to keep that energy while talking to Collie, they couldn't afford to turn on each other, no matter how much she wanted to snap at all of them. Her eyes moved to the De Vil, and she clenched her fist under the table, "I would like to remind you that none of you would've known about their arrival if it wasn't for me. We need to work together in order to control the situation the best we can."
It was going to be the hardest thing any of them had to do, trusting each other.
Ian, however, did not share the peace ideal. What Jace had said angered him, more than anything Collie and Willa were arguing about. They were allowed to hide their insider information, he wasn't about to yell at Collie for doing the same thing he was going to. Jace, however, needed to watch herself. "If you would like me to make it your problem, I can send them into the outlands to wipe out your little pack from your cave home instead."

Buchannan Edelweiss "Del" Grimhilde and Elvira Blight The Magus was quiet for a minute, considering her best friend's point. She trusted Mori's opinions, their constant bickering aside, and even now the sea witch brought up several valid points. "What would we have that they want?" It wasn't a challenge to Mori's theory, more thinking aloud and hoping she had any more brilliant deductions. "I mean, we're a desolate rock in the middle of the ocean. Its not like we have any sort of hidden gems that Beast might want. This seems a little extreme to pick up a bracelet that his wife carelessly threw in the trash..." Although, honestly, maybe Auradon was that frivolous, invading their spaces to find some lost trinket they probably had hundreds of. "They wouldn't send a group of kids to repair a hole or blind spot in the barrier, so we can cross that out, and Yen Sid would have just told us if it was a standard case of new prisoners." Again, that didn't quite add up, and it was starting to form a pit of concern in her stomach, because that left Mori's final theory, and one she almost didn't want to address, in fear of speaking it into existence. "...you don't think the others would do something rash enough like hurt them, right?" She could expect the best out of Willa, who wouldn't hurt their everyday enemies in a permanent way, much less hurt a shipment of their tyrants' brats. Willa would never. And Jace...or Nanji...or whoever happened to be in charge of the Outlands' pack of mutts and traitors this week...would be more interested in hiding away in the desert. This shipment of Auradon kids probably had no interest to them, apart from distant observation. That left Ian and Collie who...Del could only hope wouldn't be stupid enough to go that route. If anything, she could trust Tortuga's captain to want to find his own angle, to spin it to his benefit. But knowing the fish-brained, grog-addled captain, he'd try to hold these kids for a ransom from Auradon. Meanwhile, Collie was someone else she could generally trust to look for an angle instead of jumping straight into violence, but she was being erratic and twitchy lately, which wasn't promising either..."...I hope Willa comes back from the meeting soon." - - - -"Very."
Truth be told, Elvira would have loved to be able to try to spit on the barrier, to see if liquids went through in the same way solids were repelled. But that was an experiment for another day, for sure. They were too far away for now, even she couldn't expect to spit that far. That was far too optimistic.
Instead, the Blight girl turned to grin at her cousin, who at least seemed to appreciate her scientific deductions. She could always count on Azura to understand her, and that was nice. Billy seemed tense, which was strange to Elvira. Out of anyone here, the Bête girl had the least to lose here. Either she botched the mission and she got praise and accolades galore from Daddy Dearest, or the mission succeeded, and she got praise and accolades galore from Auradon, as the successful leader to the mission that apparently meant the princes and princesses in Auradon could pretend to be good people again.
It was easier to ignore the fact that you'd left kids to starve and die when you sent a crew of mostly underqualified rich kids who had never done anything more strenuous than stay overnight at their fancy rich people schools to do your dirty work for you.
Elvira had to concede that she, too, was a rich kid. The Blight family name, despite crushing pressure, came with that benefit.
But unlike most of the people on this boat, she'd earned her way in life.
Without losing that carefree grin on her face, despite her thoughts heading in a darker direction, she chirped back, "I'm sure that, even without magic, Monkford's got my back." That didn't particularly answer Billy's question, regarding her fears about losing her magic, but Elvira wasn't one to give straightforward answers, either.
The witchling's hand went to the monkey carved at the top of her staff.
Deciding, again, to be a pest, Elvira prodded Billy in the shoulder lightly with the non-monkey end of the staff. "I'm sure he could protect you too, Bally."

Southwark Homie Slim, Maggie DunBroch and Kassi Robinson "Not if we keep them from contacting Auradon," The middle triplet was probably kidding. Probably. She moved her arms from her siblings' shoulders, then, to cross them over her chest. "You don't think they'd seriously order our deaths, do you?" As she questioned her siblings, she knew the answer to that. They didn't know. She didn't know, Montana didn't know, and California didn't know. These kids could be heartless sociopaths for all they knew and there was nothing they could do about it.
"If we don't do anything to piss 'em off though..." That was their best bet, to just keep the brats happy. But how hard would that be to pull off? "It ought to pan out." They would either succeed or their lives would be ended. Which wasn't particularly comforting, sure. But that's...all they had. - - - - Kassi was quickly losing interest in debating with the boys. It didn't matter if the barrier blocked the mutations that the villains had when they came to the Isle. There were always variables that the all knowing adults might not have factored in. Their certainty involving a bunch of adults creating a barrier that had also thought that creating a death camp for people they didn't like was the fair and human solution was...concerning at best.
You don't trust people who condemned children to a prison island and got their kids to fix their problems for them to also consider the safest way to do it for the prisoners. There wasn't that much humanity involved in this mission.
Before she could point that out, however, the red haired girl broke in.
"So why're you all here, anyhow?" Maggie knew why she was here, but not why the other transfers were here. She could assume that it was to help, obviously, but why were they interested in helping?

Tortuga Mair Baron and Akram Agrabah "Clearly not good ones."
Almost as if the Quartermaster had realized his own bitter tone, he grinned and shot another quip towards the Sailing Master. "After all, lad, she didn't give us so much as a curtsy when she got here, haha." Mair put his arms behind his back as they walked, then put his hand to his chin as if in deep thought. "Some really good friends, letting her go somewhere and forget basic manners." Because haha, that's what he was concerned about, right? Clearly not the behaviors of the Auradon Elite.
After all, Tana's friends in greener pastures had let a tyrant drag her off to hell to rot. Cut off from everything familiar, both in her world and herself, to live with a bunch of assumedly dangerous criminals that could have potentially gutted her as soon as looked at her. He didn't know that Tana would find a new family and friends here. He was throwing her, figuratively, to the wolves. And that was a level of carelessness towards his family that he wasn't particularly partial to. "Think they'll curtsy to us, Ferry?"- - - -"It's their home, and we're the guests." Akram replied simply, not seeming phased by Dande's pessimism. They were guests, alright, and unannounced ones, at that. It wasn't the Isle kids' job to put them up with a smile on their faces. "They'll have their way of doing things, and we'll have to adapt while helping them how we can." Because this mission was about saving them from abusive parents and a life behind figurative bars, not about changing them.
"But I'm guessing they'll have some sort of King or Queen...maybe some kind of leader...was it...?" Akram had honestly forgotten the girl's name. He knew her from around school, but wasn't particularly close to her. Had a couple sisters around, one of them was going to be in the student government with Aisha...was it...?
"Hamada!" He finally remembered her last name, proudly.

Colette "Collie" Jessamine de Vil daughter of Cruella de Vil and Jean-Pierre la Pelt
"We do need to work together," A pointed glare was thrown towards the pirate captain and the...wolf leader. Collie wasn't quite sure what Jace's title was. Hell, she occasionally wasn't the leader, and the comare wasn't entirely a fan of that level of chaos. But Jace was who they had to work with, and the argument wasn't getting to the bottom of this.
But Jace and Willa had a point, even if she was loathe to admit it.
"I'll keep you guys informed, I just don't know how much use I'll get out of them, you know?" She pointed out, before explaining further. "For all we know, they're some kind of trained special operative...or drunken high schoolers." The odds weren't small that they might get either no information or wrong information from the transfers.
"Do you three really think we can get some kind of angle from this? One that actually helps us? Or are we just licking their boots to survive?" Something big was happening, that Collie couldn't figure out what. It was maddening.

Buchannan Bellamy Bête, Azura Noceda-Blight Azura felt a little bad for giving Elvira a supportive smile, if only for the fact that Billy was glaring daggers at her cousin in something that was easiest to be described as un-amusement. The princess looked so serious and tension was strewn across her body for reasons Azura didn't know. Surely Elvira wasn't that much of a bother already.
She gave a sympathetic look to Mino as he answered Billy's question, whereas the girl gave a short nod. She understood that he had essentially been dealing with the on and off again nature of his magic, but it always seemed like it'd be a far different experience when there wasn't the option to access it again.
An unnerved shiver shook through her body as that thought crossed her mind. Easier to ignore magic when it wasn't permanently lost to oneself.
And yet, better lost than lose any choice.
Her eyes glanced back towards her cousin who was now answering the question as well, with very little worries. Well, Azura wasn't going to judge her for that. But, Azura would lightly wince as Billy's glare seemed to increase tenfold upon being tapped with the staff. Her voice seemed to be lined with irritation despite how evenly the words were spoken, "Thanks. I'm sure it'll do a lot of good."

Southwark California Slim, Alicio Bête California looked between her siblings with an air of disbelief at the amount of concern they were showing about this. Sure, she understood that this was an unfamiliar situation and they had no information about it, but she thought they were being a bit extreme. "If they wanted us dead, they'd hardly need a reason to order our deaths. Sending a bunch of kids over to this garbage island just to get offended if we so much as look at them the wrong way is far more justification than they'd ever need."
They would be wasting energy sending a bunch of kids to the Isle just to evoke enough of a response to declare war. Or, more accurately, to order a genocide. The Isle population for all its worth didn't stand a chance against whatever forced Auradon mustered up. The point of the matter was, it'd just be easier to send an army rather than a group of kids that would bring the army in some time later. "If anything, they're more likely to come here and gawk at us like we're caged animals here for their amusement." Which probably wasn't that far off to reality. Which only left to be said, you shouldn't be surprised when a caged animal who's been abandoned for so long bites you when you enter the cage. -- Alicio nodded alongside Eddie's points. The conversation was directed away though which wasn't something Alicio was going to complain about. Which wasn't to say he absolutely loved the new topic. A little nervously with a small little chuckle, he answered with "Thought that was obvious? We're here to help the Isle kids?" It was the most obvious answer given the trip was advertised to be doing as much. Of course, that's why he also knew that wasn't what Maggie was asking about. Of course, trying to explain that Oh, I just wanted to escape my household for a few months because my father is abusive but not so much to me as he is to all my other siblings. Gets a little difficult to see on the daily so I took my shot at not needing to be on Auradon at all even if it means I'm going to be hanging out on an Island notorious for dastardly criminals since hey! People who have murdered in the past are far better company than my own dad!
... Yeah. He had no plans to unload these issues onto anyone on the trip. So he went with the next best choice. "Alongside that, I guess to support my sister?" He offered. He was neglecting that he signed up for the trip before she was forced into her role, but they also didn't need to know that. Another one of those family secrets to keep hidden.

Tortuga Farris Jaohari, Hibiki Hamada Farris winced, but there wasn't much to say against the jab. If Farris was right about where the emotion came from, there was no defending people who couldn't successfully stand up for the girl. Farris loved Tana and loved the input she brought into the crew, but the Isle wasn't a good home for anyone.Mair seemed to recover from the mood rather fast, but Farris wasn't going to focus on that. He gave a smile in return, responding just as well, "She really didn't, did she? The lack of curtesy, is a couple years after a sign of disrespect a bit too long to feel disrespected Mair?" Farris wasn't really offended over it now. He wasn't even offended over it back then either."Think we're that deserving of their respect?"
-- And Hibi stopped agreeing with the words that Dande said. More or less. Hibi still agreed with the assumption that the kids weren't going to be enthusiastic or responsive to their 'good intentions.' As if the words 'good intentions' hid the fact this was just to make up for people suddenly feeling guilty for putting warlords, murderers, and whatnot in a place where they wouldn't hurt anyone and forgetting that those people still had the ability to produce kids. "You're saying that like things would be any different if they were brought to Auradon when they were born. It took 20 years for anybody to care about them now, so don't pretend like they wouldn't have been neglected and living in poverty if anyone did anything different." Everyone could claim it would have been but given the state of San Fransokyo, the city that kept its criminals because they didn't cause any real damage, Hibi had different thoughts. It wasn't like any of the criminals were given any support and she's talking crimes far less important than murder like some of the villains on the Isle had done. "Their lives weren't stolen because that implies they had a chance for a different kind of life." "And it's not like everyone on Auradon meets the perfect standards of civil conversation. You guys are really putting these kids on whatever the opposite of a pedestal is, huh? They're human. Or, I guess, a majority of them are."
And yes, Hibi understood that even the poorest neighborhood in Auradon wouldn't be as bad as the Isle, but the basis was the same either way. The only unique aspect about their situation was they were living on an Isle with no magic and no contact to the world. If you casually forgot that Yen Sid exists. Then Akram shouted out her last name in an obvious attempt to try and remember what it was. She looked at him with dead eyes before blandly responding, "Agrabah. My first name is Hibiki if you care to know."

Jace Ulf daughter of the white witch and maugrim Jace took a breath and flashed a toothy smile at the pirate captain, brows raised in a daring fashion. "Do it. I'm sure that won't backfire at all."
Jace was confident that the threat was merely words for once in the pirate's life. That if he followed through, it wouldn't just be Jace's head on a pike outside some castle, but his as well. Probably Collie's and Willa's as well. Who was to say these spoiled Auradonians wouldn't take the sins of one Isle kid's and apply the punishments to everyone else.
And Jace wasn't even implying that she'd do anything to the kids if forced to home them. She'd be willing to entertain the idea of keeping some of the transfers around, corrupt them into the ways of the wild. The matter of whether or not little princes and princesses enjoyed sleeping in a cold cave on dirt amongst a bunch of naked animals was really the question. Jace was willing to place her bets on no.
And everyone knows what happens when spoiled brats don't get what they want.
She flipped her head over towards Collie, content with her final statement towards Ian, with an innocent smile. One that was meant to pretend like she hadn't just been trading not-so-friendly words with the pirate and that obviously she was a full supporter of working together.
"We won't know until we get here. Unless you guys want to plan one hundred different ways this situation will turn out." Say the transfers weren't criminals and the four leaders weren't just being too hopeful that they could actually get something from this aside from more mouths to feed on the Isle, there was no telling why the transfers were coming otherwise and if they'd be able to be used.

f o r e s t Ian Salazar and Willa Sanderson
"Licking their boots to survive," Willa put her vote in, seeing it as their best way to stay alive. Her priority was keeping her family and coven alive, even if it meant they were suffering. It was better to live than die, no matter what that life was made up of. They had all gone through much worse just to get to this point. Willa wasn't about to see any of them die because they couldn't be nice. She looked around the table and centered herself for the speech she was about to make.
"I know our people, they are quick to violence or, have a healthy amount of pride. We are included in those categories," Willa sighed, meeting eyes with Collie before realizing it looked like a callout. "I don't want to die because some prince decided a pirate was mean, or a princess cries because one of my healers weren't careful enough with their wound. I don't want a kid dying of alcohol poisoning at a club or some lions decided to make someone their meal. Because we will pay a price for that."
The young mother nodded, a signal that she was done. A silent moment passed before Ian started laughing.
"Alright, alright." Ian held his side while trying to stop his laughter. "Ah, thank you, Willa, for." He paused, trying to think of the right thing to say. "Whatever that was." He did not find the right thing to say, that was clear from Willa's glare. "We know each other's plans, we know to share information, are we done now?" Ian wanted to know if the new arrivals had made it to shore yet, and he couldn't do that by sitting in the middle of the woods.

b u c h a n n a n Mori Blackbeard and Mino Oldenburg
"Any number of villainous power that Beast wants for himself." Surely Beast didn't get every hidden artifact from each poisoner. Their parents didn't get far in life because they were stupid. "Or maybe he hid something on the Isle, for safe keeping away from other royals." Mori wiggled her eyebrows, "A secret trove of treasure? A magical cup that can grant someone immortality? A spell to enslave all people? Oh, oh! A hidden bastard child!" Mori was having fun, now, if only to get Del to laugh. Calming down, Mori shook her head. "If there is one thing to be said of Ian and Collie, it's that they aren't stupid. They're not going to risk their lives for a chance to get off the Isle. So long as the newbies stay away from the more violent animals, we should be fine." She liked Jace well enough, but the woman couldn't stay in power for longer than a day without someone trying to challenge her. It didn't bode well that she couldn't control her people, but Collie had guards around her city, so it's not like they would be unprotected. Looking towards the boat, she saw that they had passed through the barrier, "You ready? They'll be here soon." The younger woman looked to Del, if only to be sure her friend was up for the challenge. They needed to be at their strongest for whoever was on that boat. They couldn't show any emotion that made them look weak. These Auradon children couldn't know they were afraid of what could happen. "This is our home, and they can't intimidate us." Mori said quietly, more to herself than Del.
- - - "Are we docking at the port or using a dingy?" Mino asked, with a quick glance at the water. Normally, he would just swim in. It's what he did when his parents decided they were going to visit Grandpa. Yes, he only did it because it's what Melanie did, but those waters were clean. Mino knew from the sight of it that this water was beyond pollution. It would take a miracle to get the contaminates out. He didn't understand how the barrier worked, not when they were surrounded by clean ocean water just behind them.

t o r t u g a Kore Porter and Dande Darling
"I have to disagree with you there," Kore mentioned to Hibiki, thinking of the different aspects of Auradon life. "Of course they would have had better lives on Auradon. Public schools provide two meals at day for poor children, and when they're in their later teens, they could get jobs to support themselves." She shook her head, since a merger job like that would only support one level of necessities a month, "Obviously they would still be in poverty, but we have social programs. I don't think a Prison Island has that kind of support or economy." Kore wasn't sure why she was fighting this point, it wasn't like they could do anything about it now.
"They're not going to have Queens and Kings," Dande scoffed. It was arrogant, of these rich and noble members of Auradon society to be speaking of those in poverty as if they had any real experience with it. "We can't put our life knowledge into their society. It's not just a different culture or society, it's like a different dimension where they have no escape." It was ridiculous to think of the Isle as anything close to what happens on Auradon. Cinderella was a maid before she was a Queen. None of these people could dream of such an advance. The ability to become royalty simply didn't exist on the Isle.
Kore sighed, seeing this conversation go further and further with no end in sight. "Whatever we guess now, we'll find out the truth soon enough." The Englishwoman looked out to the beach as it became closer and closer. "It doesn't matter what we theorize, we'll learn what they've done when we set our feet down."

s o u t h w a r k Montana Slim and Eddie Radcliffe
"So we're going to lock them up and keep them here? Then have their parents send a rescue mission with the secondary purpose of killing us all?" Montana shook his head, deciding that his sisters had definitely lost their minds. Specifically Homie, but California wasn't making much sense either. He wouldn't call her out as much as he had Homie, for she was the youngest. "I do think they would order our deaths, yes. That might be Beast's only want. A way to get rid of us permanently without the threat of public outcry at the deaths of literal children. I'm sure he didn't think the villains would have babies when he sent them here."Logically, it made no sense for these castaways to make lives in their prison. They barely had food themselves, how did they expect to feed their children? Some of these kids were sentenced along with their parents, and some villains were pregnant on the way over. Montana supposed Beast knew of it, but not the whole public. He was sure they didn't think about it too much, kids starving on an island just miles off shore from them. But it was there, and the public outcry was a threat. History showed that threats to the Crown never lasted long. "If you think we're to be gawked at, then we best not give them anything to report," Montana shot back instead of more thoughts on their impending doom. It would be easier to protect both of them if he got them to be well behaved, or if they befriended any of them. Maybe Collie's idea wasn't so far fetched. "So long as they go home happy, we're safe." For now, at least. If anything, this would serve as a reminder that Beast could do whatever he wanted to them. - - - "My mom wanted to check on Cruella's children." Eddie shrugged, since his answer was fairly boring. Sure, not many of them would have a similar reason, but it's all he had and didn't leave much room to talk. Kassi was unlikely to be interested in his mother's old friendship with Cruella. He looked towards Alicio, wondering what else he hadn't said. "What about you two?" He questioned the girls, deciding to let the boy keep his secrets.

Tortuga Mair Baron and Akram Agrabah
"I don't think we can keep faulting her for it, pal," Mair tossed back easily, putting his hands behind his back as they walked. Bitter tone aside, the Quartermaster was actually in a good mood today. It was about as lovely as a day could be on the Isle of the Lost, after all. The smog was almost see-through, today, as if the purity and kindness of their coming tyrants sucked away some of the gloom and poison, or that the poison recognized the stronger source and was deferring to the toxic brats coming their way.
Or, realistically, opening the barrier for a second sucked some of that smog outside.
"After all, she came to the Isle not knowing any better manners from her royal pals, haha...then she was raised by the likes of us." Mair gestured towards himself and Farris, smirking at his old pal. He'd known the Jaohari boy for his entire life, it felt like. Ever since the fragile boy had wandered his way into Tortuga, after fighting with his older brother. And from there, it was history. Farris quickly took to his and Ian's friendship like a duck to water -- or like an albino to a curtsy, for that matter. There'd been a hole left in their friend group from where Nanji had left, and Farris fit there perfectly. He was a good kid, loyal and smart, a little more predisposed to common sense, but not averse to actually having fun.
He was a good pal.
"Hahaha..." Farris's final question struck Mair as hilarious, not that this was a likely surprise to the Sailing Master. Were they worthy of the Auradon transfers' respect? They were a pack of liars, murderers, thieves, and scoundrels. They'd been breathing crime and brutality from the moment they arrived in this world, taught by their monstrous parents, who never thought them worthy to begin with. Never showed a scrap of love or affection, save for a few who were quickly and frequently overrun by their less paternal fellows. Did they deserve the respect of Auradon's transfers? Proud future kings, queens, and leaders?
"I think that's the wrong question, Ferry."
Before he could elaborate on what he thought the right question was, the Quartermaster's attention was conveniently diverted once more, to the ship now drawing close to their sludgy shoreline. Grabbing Farris's hand, he started bolting forward, an excited, boyish spring in his gait, leading them both rapidly to their docks.
"Look! Look! Nevermind that, they're here!"
Truly, a one track mind. Apparently.
"Do you think we should wait on Billy's orders to leave?" Akram changed the subject quickly, not wanting the conversation to drop further towards an actual quarrel. He didn't entirely agree with everything being said, but now wasn't the time to push the issues. They had to present a united, friendly front to the transfers, especially right out of the gate like this. This was their first impression, and as much as Akram had high hopes for making fast friends with the Isle kids, he'd like to not show weakness if they were intending on seeking division in their ranks. "We're already making a bit of a spectacle, it seems."
So that was purposely a bit of an understatement, but watching the shoreline, Akram could already see Isle residents starting to gather. Two women waiting expectantly by the docks, two men making a...hasty arrival, and three people who looked to be nearly identical -- triplets? -- anxiously muttering amongst themselves.
So much for making a quiet arrival on the Isle.

Colette "Collie" Jessamine de Vil daughter of Cruella de Vil and Jean-Pierre la Pelt
Not that Collie was going to address it, but she felt the alcohol poisoning callout by Willa was a bit uncalled for. If the Auradon kids were stupid and drank too much, that wasn't really something she could prevent. Did the coven leader need to be introduced to survival of the fittest? Surely, she'd learned that lesson in her lifetime. Willa wasn't an idiot, idiots didn't survive, which was her internal point, truly. If the Southwark transplants ended up being a couple of Darwin Award Winners, that wasn't her problem. It's not like backhanding a bottle of scotch out of their hands was less likely to offend them than murdering them in their sleep. The promise of them actually being bright was already pretty low in Collie's mind, considering they came here for a friendly visit.
But she was getting off topic. If the Southwark transplants died from alcohol poisoning, then that was the least prevalent of Collie's worries. Southwark was one of the more dangerous boroughs on the Isle, and while it also had the best quality of living, Collie wouldn't argue against the danger. Cybugs, Beagles, other obnoxious adults, apparently alcohol poisoning, if you asked Willa.
The blonde was already running through ways to childproof Southwark for these idiots, now. She'd have to discuss keeping Sugar Plum in line later, she could be a danger if her business was provoked, at least to a bunch of soft morons. The Beagles were currently in hiding, keeping their heads down after the death of Pa and Bigtime, but Collie could make sure to send Homie and her boys their way to make sure they stayed in line. The cybugs could also be dealt with when it came to the middle Slimlet's crowd. She guessed the alcohol poisoning could be monitored with Montana and his crew. That left...
"Not quite," While this was spoken in response to Ian's question about being done, her attention was on the mutt in the corner. "How can we make sure your pack of mongrels behaves, Jace?" Maybe she was being harsh, but right now, the Outlands were the biggest wildcards to her transplants. Shamakani and her rogues often raided Slim Ranch, and she wasn't blind to that fact. Although, apparently Jace was, or she was powerless to stop them, because it was still occurring. "I don't care what you have to do, but keep Shamakani and the rest of your little problems in the Outlands, please." They needed to stay on the same side, present a united front, and whatever diplomatic hell they needed to do. But she wasn't about to play nice when Jace couldn't even keep order for a week.

Southwark Homie Slim, Maggie DunBroch and Kassi Robinson
"That's a minefield of it's own, though, if ya think about it," Homie mused, looking towards her brother and sister for their thoughts on the matter. "I mean, we don't know what'll set 'em off." And she hated that. Sure, they could sit there and play nice all they wanted, but they didn't know how Auradon did that. For all they knew -- hell, they knew -- Auradon's society was entirely and totally alien to them. The similarities quite literally stopped at the fact that they were humans, animals, and mages. That's all they had in common, and Homie knew that for a fact. That, and these kids were probably aroundthe same age as them. But that could hold two entirely different interpretations, depending on culture, which Homie knew was different.
"I guess we'll just have to stay on our toes, listen out for clues, and deal with what we have," She conceded her own points, crossing her arms and not entirely sure. She wasn't a coward in any sense of the word. She constantly led her guys in battle against Beagles, Cybugs, Outlands Rogues, and any other wise bastard that picked a fight with the mafia. But fighting a war like this, a war where they weren't genuinely fighting, was out of her range of knowledge. She wasn't stupid, but diplomacy was always Montana's thing, she felt. Her diplomacy, and California's diplomacy, always came with the loaded threat that niceties could possibly end in a fistfight and vandalism. They couldn't fight their war like this, not with these princes and princesses. "Boy, they're gettin' close, aren't they?" She added, flicking a nervous glance towards her triplets.
At Eddie's question, Maggie shrugged. "My mam was one'a the ones speakin' up fae this," She began, since that was the true start of her involvement in this cause. Maggie hadn't been involved when the discussions and summits first began about this situation, but Merida had quickly drawn her into the loop. And Maggie had jumped eagerly to support her mother's point. "Ain't right, this place, ye ken? This lot needs help, parents an' kids, an' lockin' em up like this wairn't ever the way tae go aboot it. This is our mess tae make right, an' those kids are the biggest losers'n alla this." The kids had been totally innocent when they were born, and any monsters they'd become was directly because of Auradonian royalty and their punishment to the original villains. The villains needed to be locked up more securely, where they couldn't reproduce, which, to Maggie, had been a stupid oversight on the hands of their parents. And the kids? They needed actual support and help. "If we're talkin' actual 'pionions, ah think this whole pageant is a right lot'a shite to begin with, aye? But if it's the only solution Beast'll allow, then ah guess ah'm on board." It didn't sit right with her, making the Isle kids perform for the "right" to come back to Auradon, and she couldn't quite place what felt so...menacing about the prospect. She wanted the kids brought back, no conditions, to be rehabilitated, sure, but Beast had promised them that this was mostly a pre-habilitation, whatever cockamamie bullshit that meant, so they'd learn what Auradon expected of them before they left.
But as Maggie's gaze wandered the boat, to Billy, to Alicio -- Beast's own kids who could be here for publicity or far worse causes -- to some of the others, whose own parents might have problems with this mission...
...she didn't trust it, not a bit.
"I never thought of it, not like that." Kassi swung her legs from where she had been sitting on a barrel, thinking over what she thought Maggie was saying. Truth be told, it was pretty hard for the Robinson girl to decipher the princess's accent, but she caught enough to where she thought she knew what she was saying. "I mean, you're right. There's no telling what's happened to these guys over here. Beast -- er... --" Kassi's eyes flicked over to Alicio, not sure how he'd take to his own dad being called a Beast, correcting herself since she truly didn't know, "King Bete hasn't ever sent anyone over here to check and see what's going on, not since the Isle began. Not that we know of..." There was Yen Sid, sure, but his words weren't broadcast to Auradon so that they knew constantly what the state of their prisoner neighbors were. Her "mutant" discussion came to mind, but that seemed to have annoyed the boys earlier, so she figured it was best to not press that point. "This almost seems like a job for adults..." And the only ones they had there were one of her own conversation-buddies: Eddie, she thought his name was, and the girl with three eyes -- three eyes, how cool was that?! -- that was on the other side of the boat.
"Ay, listen up though, we're gettin' close. She'll prob'ly be tellin' us tae get off soon." Maggie wasn't sure if "leading the Southwark transplants (whatever the hell that meant)" started right now, or after they got off the boat, but she wasn't going to offend Billy or whatever, not right here. There was still the odds she could get sent back to Auradon for not behaving, so she guessed she had a line to toe.
She still didn't trust it.

Buchannan Edelweiss "Del" Grimhilde and Elvira Blight
Del knew Mori was trying, but she couldn't entirely find it in herself to laugh, not right now. They could make light of the situation when they had a better grasp on the situation. For all they knew, this was a dangerous execution squad being sent by Auradon. Their mere existence was problematic, for as long as they were on the Isle, and the Magus tried to calm herself down.
Mori's comment about Ian and Collie not being idiots caused a skeptical noise to come from her, but her best friend already knew her opinions on that situation. Ian was fine, sure. But implying that Collie wasn't prone to carelessly throwing people in the line of fire for a half-baked goal wasn't exactly something she was inclined to agree with.
"I guess when they get down here, we'll know better, huh?" This could go in two ways, she felt -- a ship full of children and fools, or a ship full of trained child warriors. They were probably around their age, and Del didn't know what to make of that. Sure, they weren't soft at this age. They were competent, powerful, and ruthless.
But from what she gathered, Auradon's society was an entirely different world.
"Place your bets, Mori." She muttered to the squid witch, before plastering a welcoming smile on her face and daring to give a friendly wave towards the boat.
This was going to be a nightmare.
Elvira could be heard giving a small, muffled snort at the word "dinghy". Was it immature? Sure. But it was a funny word, and part of her gave props to whoever designed the thing, for giving it that name with a straight face.
Okay, okay.
"I'd think docking would be the more efficient way to do it, yeah?" So she can give more valuable input than being obnoxious! "After all, with how many of us there are, that'd be way too many-" The witch gave another stifled attempt at not laughing, before trying again. "But no, really, Bolly. It'd be more efficient, I'd think." Plus, it'd provide them with a faster means of escape, hopefully, if things went south.
Elvira gave an energetic wave back from the boat to whoever it was on the Isle waving at them.

Buchannan Bellamy Bête, Azura Noceda-Blight As much as Billy hated to agree with Elvira like this, she gave a small nod in confirmation before following it up with the vocal counterpart, "We are docking." Albeit, the choice had less to do with the amount of transfers on board headed to the island and more to do with the fact that Beast hadn't thought it necessary to include multiple dinghies. By all accounts, supplying this ship with three or four dinghies would have been well enough for both the passengers and their luggage.
Wonderfully, he only thought to include one and that was more for show. Which certainly gave off the appearance of having too many on board headed to land on the Isle to all use it. The first of many deterrents Billy supposed, but ever so lucky for the group, the captain of the ship certainly didn't mind docking on the Island for whatever ill-intentioned reason they had. If the captain dared to get close enough for that, Billy supposed that was what they were dealing with then.
A rather shoddy attempt at a deterrent she supposed on further thinking.
She did watch cautiously as it appeared their arrival wasn't as silent as it should have been. She supposed it was another mark on the list of pre-prepared incidents to simply get them off on a bad start.
Unfortunately, unlike the lack of dinghies, the people gathering on the docks left a much wider room of unpredictability. It wasn't as simple as talking with the captain in order to judge how close he was willing to get to the island. These were the strangers that lived on this island for 20 years, raised by villains. And they were waiting so patiently for the ship to steady in the docks and for the transfers to come down.
Azura noticed Billy's eyes narrowing at the sight of the people standing on the island, merely waving as Elvira waved back. She hadn't expected to hear Billy mutter to herself, something that Azura doubted Billy for any of them to hear. "What are their intentions?"
"Well, assuming waving means something similar to what it means in Auradon, I'd assume they're standing there and waiting to say 'hello?'" Azura offered quietly in return, unsurprised and yet feeling a tad bit bad as the girl's sharp teal-blue eyes flicked towards her in surprise at any answer.
Despite having obviously heard Azura's answer, Billy refrained from answering. Something Azura wasn't going to blame her for. Billy did, however, turn away as well, which felt a little rude until Azura realized why Billy was pretending the little exchange didn't happen. She was trying to catch the gazes of the co-seconds of the trip.
Each little group, separated based off of the school (more or less, given the two adults on the trip weren't actually going to the school), were having their own conversations. Azura could only assume they were more interesting than the small talk present in the Witch School's transfer group.
Azura had no idea what Billy was even trying to communicate with Hibiki and Maggie. Unlike Billy's brother, she largely doubted other people understood the vague looks and gestures she made in order to indicate whatever point she wanted to get across. She supposed Maggie was at least lucky to have a Bête interpreter (even if he was one himself) in her group.
But it looked like Hibiki seemed to understand as she turned back to her group to likely tell them what instructions lie ahead? Good on her, Azura supposed.
As Alicio, at the least, from the other group seemed to grasp the information and inform Maggie, Billy did turn back to this group. "We'll be docking any minute now and the captain will be out to get us safely off the ship. Given the company already waiting for us-" Azura took a quick glance back at the land to note the other people waiting aside from the woman waving at them previously. How... convenient they seemed to have themselves grouped into three separate groups just as the transfers had... "- it's likely in our best interest to divide and- to divide."
Azura wasn't willing to wince aloud seeing as Billy seemed to catch herself on the full phrase. The princess continued onwards, "We'll pick a group, ask them if they can direct us towards Buchannan, and start our search for someone in charge and a potential place of living before meeting back here with the Southwark group and Tortuga group. So, I guess the best question is which 'welcoming' group should we try out?"
"How about the one Elvira was waving at earlier?" Azura offered.
And then the ship gave a lurch as, or what Azura was assuming, was the ship stopping in place. She tried to steady herself with the ship's railing and after what Azura could only imagine was Billy also regaining footing and stability as the captain did like Billy said he would and opened a way out to the wooden dock, Billy gave a short nod and some murmur of acknowledgment and agreement to the suggestion.
Once the pathway was opened to them, Azura could only follow as Billy took the first steps off the ship and made way for the two girls waiting.

Tortuga Farris Jaohari, Hibiki Hamada Hibiki tried to hold in a groan simply in an attempt to try and be professional here, but she really didn't know how well she that was going. She wasn't a fan of the conversation and how it was going. There was certainly a difference of opinion going into this trip that Hibi hadn't been very prepared for. Dealing with it before they hit solid ground was simply worse. Thankfully, even with his own separate opinions than hers, Akram altered the conversation to something that would hopefully cause less controversy. Unless the rest of the group suddenly gained strong opinions on whether or not they should listen to highest ranking royal of the transfers who, Hibiki supposed, also doubled as their leader. Well. Hibi supposed she didn't care all too much about that. On the whole topic of Billy and her instructions, Hibiki shot a glance over to the girl and more or less regretted it. She seemed to finish one of her silent conversations with Alicio- honestly, Hibiki knew that they weren't twins with each other, but damn the way Bêtes could just read one another was unnerving- before looking over to Hibi herself. Attempting to imitate whatever the hell Bêtes were communicating, she gave a shoddy thumbs up, a half-nod, and a smile that hopefully didn't look too forced from their distance. Somehow, Hibi assumed this appeased the fellow princess as she turned away without another thing to say. Turning back to her little group, she finally processed the latter part of Akram's speech. And in a fun moment of light distraction, Hibi rolled her eyes and allowed a comment to shoot out, "So much for Yen Sid keeping his mouth shut about our arrival, huh?"She paused. Then, she realized she still had to communicate whatever Billy had tried to communicate to her with. "Okay so, what I'm assuming was an update from Billy, in the case you didn't just see our attempt at silent communication. While I don't know if this is correct, I am 24% sure that we're going to get off the boat now and do what we planned to do in the first place."
Although, Hibiki wasn't sure if that included ignoring the people on the shore. -- Farris gave a small chuckle in agreement. More simply put, it was definitely too late to feel disrespected over the lack of a curtsy several years ago given curtsies were hardly used as a sign of respect on the Isle. Perhaps mocking respect, as the pair had just demonstrated, but nothing so genuine as Farris supposed it was meant to represent. The laughter didn't shock Farris as much as it should have- this was Mair after all- but it certainly got his attention given the topic at hand. He knew it wasn't meant to be funny like a joke would be, but, as previously stated, this was Mair. And, Farris supposed, there was a fair amount of doubt in the question. What didn't soothe the curiosity was the response Mair shot back after the laughter. It left Farris tilting his head in something akin to a mix of curiosity and concern about what the right question was. It unfortunately seemed as though it wouldn't be resolved at the now. It was rather unlikely it'd ever be resolved, really, so Farris supposed he could put it behind him and allow his focus to shift into keeping up with Mair's sudden choice of running towards the docks rather than the meandering walk they'd been taking. The fellow wasn't wrong, seeing as the same time they arrive in front of the ship carrying new blood, the boat itself stopped in its tracks. Mighty nice timing on their part. Not quite late, not quite early (unlike the witches or cowfolk who Farris noted were standing in watch as well). There was an exhilarating thrill waiting for the moment the transfers would disembark on the vessel. All the questions about what the transfers would be like were left to be answered now. Oh, perhaps they wouldn't get to know their full personalities right now, but they'd get the first glimpses of them. Would they all be human? All royalty? Would there be some variety? Some from a lesser standing? Some animal? Some magic? Although, Farris doubted there was a way to tell if a person was magic based off first glance. Half of the coven looked to be ordinary people whose status as witches and wizards and whatnot were entirely based on the assumption their parents were accurately magical. Of course... watching as a group of four descended onto the docks and made a beeline for Del and Mori of all people was something of a disappointment and hurtful pang. Perhaps it were irrational, but truly, how did the coven manage to snag the attention of the transfers off the bat? The feelings eased up ever so bit as Farris realized that group of four wasn't the only group that had been on board, watching as two more groups of four exited the boat, very much separate from one another if their opposing directions had anything to say about it. There was a certain feeling of relief that came from it. Albeit, the awkward hesitance that came from the leader of the group headed in the pirate's direction as she glanced back at the coven-claimed group wasn't too reassuring. At least something seemed to reassure the girl in doing that though as their group continued for Farris and Mair. As Farris opened his mouth to say something to the group, he didn't manage to make out words quick enough as the girl spoke first. "Hello there, sirs. I don't suppose you could point us towards Tortuga and Serpent Prep?"Sue Farris for the next words that came out of his mouth, but he could hardly help it as the conversation with Mair just previous to this flooded his brain. "So much for the curtsies, huh?" he ever so un-gracefully pointed out for Mair. Brain, now catching up with the words he just uttered, allowed him to scrunch up his face in the beginning of an apology. "I hadn't meant to say that aloud." So much for that. Attempting to remedy it ever so more, he gave an awkward smile and responded to her question, "Well, uh. Yes, we could actually bring you around there if you'd prefer?"

Southwark California Slim, Alicio Bête There was a pit in his stomach that grew a bit deeper each time one of the fellow Southwark transfers took a glance at him. He didn't know if they thought they were being discrete or if they simply didn't care that it was considered rude to stare at people simply based on their existence. He got it, he understood. He was the son of this horrible person that no one liked, so therefore everyone expected him and his siblings to be just as horrible. It wasn't like anybody bothered to look at the deeper reasons for why Beast may be a horrible person, choosing to instead focus on the outer facts revolving around his actions as king. Sure, making a prison island wasn't the best idea to handle villains, but people certainly didn't complain about it 20 years ago at the same level they were doing it nowadays. So, yeah, sure, blame him for his dad's wrongdoings even if they weren't even good wrongdoings. It was probably dumb to be upset about the fact that people were judging him over Beast being a horrible king rather than a horrible father. But hey, his fault for assuming that he could even reach the Isle before somebody made some kind of reference there. He should have expected that. He should probably expect this wouldn't be the end of it either once they actually landed and all attempts to befriend the isle inhabitants flushed downhill once they figured out his dead put them there. It'd probably be a bit much to hope they'd gleam past that if other Auradonians couldn't. And, in a wild state of hypocrisy over the whole staring at people controversy, Alicio did the same thing and took a glance at Billy. Rather glad he did too as she seemed to be trying to get the attention of Maggie, albeit nonverbally which would cause some issues. She caught his gaze at least quickly enough. He gave her an encouraging smile which was returned with something of a relieved one. Her expression steeled up a bit a as she nodded towards the shore. He took a glance to see what she was trying to reference and realized some Isle people had noticed the ship entering the barrier and, likely, now waiting for the ship to dock. He glanced back to Billy to confirm with her if she thought they knew they were on the boat. There was a curt nod already on it's way from her and he gave a small frown. She shrugged in response, which was rather calm for her by all accounts. Alicio expected more panic to be involved with it. She continued by raising three fingers on one of her hands and made a small circular motion, which Alicio figured was in reference to the three groups on board, especially when compared to her waving the three fingers in the direction of the people waiting. Ah! He understood upon looking at the people once more, a transfer group for one of the currently formed Isle groups. He gave a nod in understanding. A smile in return for the ease of understanding before she moved onto to explain a tad bit more. Alicio believed he got the gist of it by the time she was done with some handwaving and facial expressions, each other giving a small smile and nod before turning away- Alicio so he could try to update Maggie about the situation and Billy so she could try to do the same thing she just did with someone in the Tortuga group. "Yeah, we'll be getting off when the ship docks and the captain sets us up to leave the ship. Pretty sure that she's going to be leading her group off first and we can just follow after that..." Alicio added aloud, after Maggie's statement. Realizing that it was probably weird he knew that information, and yet trying to explain that he and his sister just communicated without saying a word felt a little strange, he settled on just continuing what they had just discussed. "Well... uh, there's Isle kids that we're guessing are waiting for us to leave the ship since they've just been waiting around for a bit now. Billy thinks it'd be a smart idea for us to just pick a group and see if they can direct us towards our day one objectives, y'know?"Oh, it surprised him when he realized Billy was even willing to talk with people right off the bat, but it seemed she was trying to alleviate some amount of stress on her and if that included asking for directions, then so be it. Fairly quickly, it seemed like the ship stopped and the captain came out like was expected. All that was left to do was follow Maggie down and figure out who they were approaching. -- California gave a loud, vocal groan at the thought. They had no idea how long the Auradon kids would be here. She was going to scream if she had to play 'don't step on any buttons' when the buttons would be covering every surface. Here she was thinking 'if' as though there was some possibility they wouldn't have to. "Has anyone considered we all just hide and pretend they don't exist? Can't anger our overlords if they never meet us in the first place," California tossed out, perfectly aware of how unrealistic it was. But hey, if her siblings were dead set on the idea they could die from this, who was California to not pay it some credit. Plus, the kids would probably be offended at the lack of welcoming party... which was why they were doing the whole dinner thing in the first place. Ugh. She was willing to take Homie's semi-diversion, semi-alert though. Nothing like a conversation about how they could do just about anything wrong to a conversation about how they have to put their people skills to the test in a good couple of minutes. And as much as California hated to admit she wasn't good at something, people weren't her thing. "Well, huh, would you look at that. They are indeed." To the point the ship was stopping in them docks. To the point that in small little groupings, they exited off the ship and California could only imagine what was going through their minds upon the sight of a solid 7 Isle natives watching them, even if the 7 were split into little groups of their own. Hoo boy, this would be interesting, specially as it seemed them kids had the gall to approach and start some conversations.

Jace Ulf daughter of the white witch and maugrim Well, despite her issues with Ian, she had to admit, his effort to not laugh out loud at Willa's attempt to rally them together. Jace, on the other hand, had far less restraint and allowed a sharp laugh to bark out.
While it was a laughter simply built out of the noble attempt, some piece of it had more to do with the apparent issue Willa believed the ferals would cause. While Jace could see Scar and his pride attacking a kid or two for a meal (assuming they'd ever bother to get close enough to the city to do so), Shamakani didn't seem so much the human-eating type. Oh, sure, Shamakani had recently taken the annoying habit of attacking livestock, but Jace felt like Collie would be a lot more angry if Shamakani had gone after one of the farmers too.
Jace wasn't feeling up to pointing it out, especially as the topic of leaving was brought up. She was more than willing to move on with her day and head back into the dry wilderness north of this place.
Unfortunately, it seemed one small checker board-colored mafia boss wasn't quite satisfied. Jace let out a small huff and leaned against her arms as she listened to the complaint. With another huff as Collie was finished, Jace adjusted so one of her arms was free to wave around as she gave her response, "Well, it's not like they've ever attacked humans first, so I'd say we're all safe from a mass execution because of us."
Sure, Jace could recognize there were scuffles between some of the ferals and the mafia's farming nation. However, Jace could at least say in the feral's general defense, the outlanders (and then one) typically went after the un-humanized animals on the Isle and said farmers attacked in turn. Jace didn't even know how much the ferals even fought back on that aspect.
Leaning back in her chair with a groan and a roll of her eyes as that probably wouldn't sate Collie, Jace confirmed, "I'll talk with them. Happy? Satisfied?" Half of Jace was tempted to merely 'forget' about it in when she got back for the sheer purpose of screwing Collie over. But, the wolf could still understand that technically, it was safer for all of them to give them another warning.
"We all good to leave now?"

f o r e s t Ian Salazar and Willa Sanderson
"That's all I've been asking for." Ian grinned at Jace, taking advantage of her backing his move to leave. He stood but ended up pausing for a brief moment. This was it, the moment before their Isle life changed. Perhaps forever, since none of them could actually see what was left of them in the future. The captain looked at all the girls once more, before giving each of them a brief nod. He moved away, opening the door to let out the ladder.
In order to break up the tension in his body, he smiled at the group as he climbed down. "Remember, ladies, don't kill anyone!" His dark humor was paired with his head quickly vanishing from sight. He didn't want to give Collie another chance to slow him down again. It wasn't just the need to check on the arrival of the kids from Auradon. In all honesty, Ian was worried about Tana, not that he'd ever say it out loud or even tell her.
Tana would try to claw his arm off just for the idea that she couldn't handle something.
Willa rubbed her temples, I'll be shocked if someone doesn't die in the first month. She didn't dare say it out loud, in fear of them starting another fight. Willa couldn't sit any longer, having her own people to worry about. Del and Mori could be trusted to find more out about the kids coming into their care, but Willa still had a daughter to worry about. It had already been too long apart, much more than she had gone since the last meeting at the tree house. The Coven leader waved a last goodbye and made her way down the ladder once Ian was clear of it.

b u c h a n n a n Mori Blackbeard and Mino Oldenburg
"Do you think they look worried?" Mori whispered without moving closer, in order to not appear suspicious. She was watching their movements on the boat now that they were close enough. They seemed to be anxious, which she couldn't figure out if that was a good think or a bad thing. Were these people afraid of them? Afraid for themselves? Or were they afraid of what they were about to do? Afraid of their future actions? Mori's stomach turned.
When the boat docked, Mori's head turned to the Crew's ship. She could see some of the pirates gathered, while others were being shoved below. Probably the younger ones, if they were playing it safe. Others, however, looked at the Auradon ship with big eyes. Mori found the reaction to be stupid, staring at them like they were some sort of entertainment. Within the group, Mori locked eyes with Jamie and quickly turned away. Of course he was staring at the arrivals, like the idiot he was.
By the time she looked back at the ship, four people had already walked off in their direction. Mori moved her braid from her shoulder to behind her back and shifted her weight so that she was standing taller. She stepped forward, just enough to make sure they were the ones this group went to first. Mori sent a quick glance to Del before flashing the group a smile. She did her best to sound friendly as she spoke, "Hello. Welcome to the Isle of the Lost."
Meanwhile, Mino had followed the girls down the ramp, deciding to stick with the people in his designated group. He didn't want to end up split from Buchannan, if that's where they were going to end up. Later would be when he explored and tried to find a place with clean water to relax. Right now, he had to back up these girls. At the beginning of the dock was the pair of girls they had decided on greeting, but Mino wasn't sure that was such a good idea. The one who stepped forward had a threatening smile, even with the melodic tone of her voice.
Mino spotted the trident on her necklace and her white hair, and he couldn't help the connection to the sea witches. Instead of a normal reaction of fear, Mino was intrigued. He wondered if she would try to kill him like the rest of their feuding families and continue the rivalry. It seemed to be a genetic thing, the hate carried between Ursula's family and his own. The merman turned his attention to the second girl, and couldn't place her. Black hair, blue eyes. That could describe a lot of people. He wouldn't jump to conclusions on that one.
Instead of waiting for Billy to make a move, Mino decided to step up and offer the slightly terrifying and probable cecaelia a hand to shake. Not because he wanted to appear as leader, but because he was afraid Elvira would say something first and turn their overall first impression. Mino was lucky that the girl took his hand, and he smiled accordingly, "I'm Mino. This is Billy, Azura and Elvira." He motioned to each girl as he said their names.

t o r t u g a Kore Porter and Dande Darling
"Seems to me that Billy has already taken off, ladies and gent." Kore threw the group a devious smile before grabbing onto one of the ship's ropes and jumping from one to the next, clearly making her own way down to the docks rather dangerously. Even though she had been practicing the entire time she was on the ship, it still made her heart race.
Dande watched the spectacle as she followed Hibi and the boys off the boat in a regular fashion, laughing freely for the first time in a week in joy rather than snark. The second they were grouped together was when Kore made her downward swing. Tarzan's daughter let out a rather wild woooaaaaaa-hoooooo! as she made her descent and managed to circle around on their group. They had already gathered the attention of the population, might as well have fun with it.
Absolutely ignorant to whatever transgression had occurred while she was busy with the ropes, Kore let go of the rope and dropped down. She landed with a duck and roll, ending up further away from her group than she planned. Kore quickly popped up and sent everyone a sheepish smile as she made her way back to them. "Hope I didn't scare you there, decided to make a show of it."
Kore, being raised by a proper English lady and a half feral Ape man, bowed to the two strangers in front of her. She greeted them with a flourished curtesy-bow hybrid, her arm waving out to the side as she bowed her head. "Good day, lads." Both of them looked like lads, albeit rather harmless ones, so Kore didn't hesitate to use the moniker. "Feel free to call me Kore," She didn't hold out a hand, instead settling for a friendly wave and more relaxed posture.
With a quick overview of their appearance, Kore asked, "Can I freely assume you're Tortuga's pirates?" It was the earring on one of them that clued her in, not that she would admit it. She was rather curious about them, however. Specifically how one could be a pirate with no real ocean to sail across, and if they also swung around their ship on ropes.
"You missed a lot," Dande piped up, rather unhelpfully, but still smiling with amusement. Kore had managed to make her forget about the Isle kid's backtalk, which was for the best considering her sour mood. Getting into a fight with them just because they said something negative wouldn't be helpful in the long run. "They are from Tortuga, and they're going to take us to the school. Although, it sounded like that's not where they were going to take us." Dande raised an eyebrow at the pair of pirates, rather suspicious of their motives now. Hibi hadn't questioned it, but she was rather focused on their own goal instead of that of the Isle kid's. "Which begs the question, what were you planning on?"

s o u t h w a r k Montana Slim and Eddie Radcliffe
Montana watched the groups gather until there was only one left. "I guess we'll settle with that one." As he moved closer, he noticed the teenager leading them. At first, Montana couldn't place him. He was a rather average boy, brunette with glasses. The defining feature was the tail, just barely peaking out. One of Beast's spawns, if he remembered the broadcasts correctly. Montana immediately felt the anxiety cut through his chest.
Montana swallowed, clearly nervous as he stopped in front of the group of five. He made eye contact with the Prince and thought about bowing. Then Slim remembered who the King was, and decided against it. In that moment, Montana's attitude shifted. He was no longer the anxious farm boy, he was a Caporegime of the Southwark Mafia, and this Prince held no power here. Montana's hands clasped together and held them firmly at his center.
His attitude removed any expression from his face, instead going for a more neutral look. His shoulders squared and he subtly noted those who were within this group. Four of them looked to be around his age, give or take a year. The outliers was a man who appeared to be fully grown, more like Cliff than himself. Certainly tall enough. Montana didn't break eye contact with the Prince as he established those in the group.
"My name is Montana Slim, and these are my sisters, Oklahoma and California." He made sure to speak clearly, not wanting any interruptions or miscommunications. Montana didn't worry about anything else, just focused on what he was doing in the moment. "We're from Southwark, and I'm hoping, by some way things worked out, that you are the group going there." He noticed the outlier, the older man, nod an affirmative. Montana was grateful, and continued without much of a pause.
In order to make the invitation seem more natural, Montana altered the plan slightly. He would offer the dinner later, as if it was more of a progression of this meeting rather than the purpose of it. "We can show you around the neighborhood and get you acquainted with everything, if you'd like." He gave them a way out, just in case they truly wanted to do their own thing. Still, logic dictated that they would say yes to the offer rather than no. It was the smarter move by far, and even if they did reject it, Montana could still extend the party invitation before they left.

Tortuga Mair Baron and Akram Agrabah
If Mair was nervous about this impending meeting at all, then the Quartermaster, predictably, didn't show it. The young man watched, with delighted eyes, as Kore launched herself through the air, even clapping a little when she landed. His grin widened, hearing Farris's comment about curtsying, but he didn't bring it up again. He had no idea if that would offend their royal sensibilites.
Apparently, hostile criminals these were not.
When the girl had made her way back to the group, that was when Mair turned his full attention to them, still looking rather open and friendly. "It's not even that far of a walk. We're already here in Tortuga, you see?~" Where his companion looked startled and slightly awkward, he looked like he was just...talking to another Isle kid. Or talking to hear himself talk, which wasn't entirely unheard of. "We are from around these parts -- isn't it lucky you ran into us first?~ -- so we can give you a hand." The older man's voice was slightly singsong, excited even, as he continued through the introductions. "I'm Mair, and this is Farris," With this introduction, Mair, apparently, slung his arm around Farris's shoulder, as an obvious indication of who he was talking about. "Our captain -- Ian -- sent us out here to greet you, show you around, and help you figure things out around here. You'll probably meet him before long, yeah?" He chattered on, not quite answering the question.
Akram, then, cleared his throat, not sure if he should speak right now. Hibi was in charge of this section of the mission, but he wasn't sure if she'd press the matter or not: "It's nice to meet you guys! I'm Akram," He began, extending his hand to offer a handshake, which this Mair guy took, shaking enthusiastically. "So uh...what are you helping us figure out?" He hadn't missed that comment, and he was curious about what the pirates thought they needed to figure out, after all. It didn't seem like it'd hurt to ask -- Mair and Farris appeared pretty forthcoming with their information, after all -- so what was the harm?
"Cap wanted us to offer you a house.~" Came the open reply of the Quartermaster, who explained in more detail without further prompting. "We weren't sure if you had already established a base, and Tortuga has a vacant space.~" Seeming pleased with his rhyme, he continued, "It's not the biggest place." He explained, finally, ending the rhyming beat. "But it's better than sleeping outside, yeah?" His last question had been aimed towards the girl with the black and purple hair. She'd spoken up first, so he assumed she was the leader of this little party of explorers.
