Southwark Homie Slim, Maggie DunBroch and Kassi Robinson
Maggie was quiet for a moment, sizing up the three. The leader -- Montana -- appeared to think Alice...Alicio?? Was in charge. Which, to be fair, would make sense to an outsider. Up close, though, it was far clearer to see that these three were most definitely triplets, no doubt about it, now. "Aye, and we'd appreciate it," The princess finally decided to speak for the group, extending her hand to Montana's to shake it. "Ah'm Maggie DunBroch, and this is Eddie Radcliffe," Once again, the outerlier was pointed out, as he was honestly the person Maggie was most familiar with. "Alicio Bête, and Kassi..." The red-headed woman squinted for a moment, taking pause as she found she could not remember Kassi's last name.
"Robinson." Kassi supplied helpfully, not looking offended by the statement. She got it. Alicio was the son of the king king, and Eddie seemed fairly friendly with Maggie. So it was easier to remember them. "Robinson," Maggie echoed thoughtfully, nodding.
Trying to be less formal, because if you asked Maggie, you could practically cut the tension in the air with a knife, she tried to, instead, make conversation. "So what is Southwark, anyhow? They tauld us that we were gon' there, an' then right out forgot to tell us what it is." What was it functionally? A kingdom? A neighborhood? Maggie thought that was a bit important to know, from a political standpoint. She wasn't about to piss off a bunch of...were they cowboys? By calling them a neighborhood if they actually happened to be a state, or a kingdom in its own right.
"S'a neighborhood," Homie brought up, nodding and slightly placated that the transfers seemed interested enough in their actual surroundings. "Or like a collection of neighborhoods. A fair chunk of the Isle." Because it was, and they had taken it, and by God, Homie was proud of their part in that.
For once, Kassi seemed like she was on the ball, with things, "You guys are captains, right? Like sort of in charge?" She couldn't remember the actual real word for it, but she had been told that there were three smaller bosses, and there were three people, right here. It made sense. At Maggie's incredulous look, she explained, "Sashi told me some stuff before we left -- he said hi, by the way." Giving context for the situation. Masashi had once been on the Isle, and had given her a bit of a heads up on the situation before they left. A member of this group of neighborhoods specifically, if she remembered right.

Buchannan Edelweiss "Del" Grimhilde and Elvira Blight
"Shouldn't they?" It was a joke, well and obviously. If Del could help it, then the coven would appear to be as little of a threat as possible. But a wry smile crossed her face for a split second as they watched the transfers come in.
After the kids -- they were children, she noticed, ignoring the fact that they weren't very old, themselves -- disembarked, she hung back for a moment. Watching, observing, but with an open, friendly smile on her face. While the boy -- Mino, apparently -- spoke first, she couldn't help but notice that Billy was in charge. She'd led them off the boat, her group had disembarked first. She was the leader, there.
Once they'd introduced themselves -- she honestly struggled to place them all -- she did it in return. "I'm Del, and this is Mori," She gestured towards her own best friend for a moment, even it she felt it didn't require as much explanation. Unlike their group of four, there were just two Buchannan kids here, and the black haired witch suddenly regretted not bringing the boys along. Safety in numbers. "It's nice to meet you all." Truly, was it? Del could have spent her entire life not laying eyes on these trust fund brats, much less babysitting them, and been totally fine.
"Its nice to meet you too~." Elvira's voice was sing-song, as if the stressful situation wasn't affecting her in any way. She didn't offer more, though, hopefully realizing the situation for once and letting Billy do the bulk of the speaking.

Buchannan Bellamy Bête, Azura Noceda-Blight Well... Billy supposed Mino introducing them first was a better alternative than what could have happened. That was absolutely aimed at Elvira. Even if she was being surprisingly quieter compared to normal just this once, if her single sentence indicated anything.
She was going to take her blessings where she could get them though. A practiced smile was on her face, after years of practice from interacting with royalty and nobility that she really didn't want to deal with. She felt this situation applied.
"It's nice to meet the both of you as well," Billy responded, even if was just a reiteration of Elvira's words. Polite, still, to say, especially given that Billy hadn't the chance to introduce herself properly.
Given introductions were done and simple beginning of conversation niceties were said with strangers and this wasn't the situation to keep up small talk for several more minutes until one party got bored and made an excuse to leave, Billy supposed it was best to be direct about the matter. "We are transfer students from Auradon that are assigned to join Witch School. We were hoping that you may have some idea where Buchannan is and could direct us to the area."
She was being careful with her words, unwilling to spill information at a whim. It was likely implied that they were not here for forever, but they wouldn't know the amount of time they'd be left on the Isle. They wouldn't know the purpose for the visit or why there was a temporary stay of Auradon students on the Isle in the first place- for the better of Auradon.
This entire trip was a stupid risk and Billy already hated the fact she couldn't be carefully watching everyone's words around the Isle natives. Spilling their goal meant that it was all that easier for them to lie and trick them into thinking they were safe to bring back. Auradon had already gotten rid of villains once- they did not need to bring them back.
So as little information as possible to get what they needed was the route they'd go for now.

Tortuga Farris Jaohari, Hibiki Hamada Farris nodded his head in confirmation to every word Mair spoke. It'd make a nice reminder in the future that for more social based situation to just let Mair do the talking from the start. At very least, Mair was actually good at it.
Sure, he wasn't entirely clear on his answers to their questions, but that was a solid stretch better than what Farris could do. It kept them engaged and curious... even if a tad bit suspicious or nervous regarding what they had to say and offer. Farris was willing to give the two of them the benefit of the doubt- who knew, these kids could have been walking into this suspicious.
... No, Farris was pretty sure it was the two of them that made things seem suspicious.
At least not all of them were holding that factor against them yet.
"We could at least check it out," the de facto leader of the group said. It was certainly... a lot easier to convince her of that than Farris was expecting. A much quicker decision as well. He didn't really know what was going through her mind.
By all accounts, Hibi figured that this did mark down one of the main things Billy told them to be on the lookout for. Any leaders and any available homes. While it didn't seem like they'd necessarily get the leader-part down this minute, they could at least through out a solid housing idea later. Assuming that this vacant space they just so happened to have wasn't a sham or unable to fit 12 people.
By all accounts, she probably should have checked with the others in this group about that. On the other hand, what else would they really decide though? Say 'no thank you, we actually like setting up camp in the wilderness and exploring strange places without guides, whether or not they're a little bit suspicious.' So yeah. Easier to just go along with this for now.
If something bad happens from this, Hibi has faith that they could survive for a couple of minutes at the least.
... "Oh! Right, my name is Hibiki."

Southwark California Slim, Alicio Bête Oh- oh that was awkward. It wasn't that Alicio was unused to maintaining eye contact, but it was certainly awkward when it was being done under the wrong circumstances.
On one hand, he could understand why they'd assume he was the leader given the lack of his sister to actually be the leader, but on the other, he hadn't actually been given responsibility on this trip. Alicio quite literally didn't have a role in this expedition, acting something closer to a pair of hands really. There were unspoken reasons as to why that was, but a fact it would remain no matter what.
So yeah. He stood quietly and maintained eye contact (which was really a learned habit and not an attempt to encourage that though). The only thing to really signify he was not what Montana thought he was at first was a step back, especially when Maggie spoke up for the group. The last thing Alicio wanted was any conflict coming from the very untrue idea that Alicio was trying to undermine' Maggie's leadership amongst the Southwark group.
Hopefully with that cleared up, he did attempt to shoot the trio a small smile and raised his hand for a short handwave.
He was met with a smile from at least one of them... but he wasn't entirely sure that she was really smile at him.
To be fair, California wasn't. The smile was to really just keep her mouth closed to prevent outward snickering at the fact Montana had ever so lightly screwed up. God almighty, don't get her wrong, she knew this was serious. Make a good impression and whatnot- not to screw up. Except, in the attempt to not do that, they already made a mistake.
She wouldn't say it out loud, but she also doubted that any of them would have really been able to guess that the redhead with a heavy accent was currently outranking a prince of Auradon.
She would like to say that she admired the girls gumption in fixing that mistake without pointing it out directly and moving on from it rather nicely.
Then the other gal of the transfer group spoke up for something other than finishing her own name. Oh, and California liked what she had to say. First to clear up the title, "Caporegime, capos for short. So, close, but we ain't the pirate 'round these parts." Even then, there was really only one captain in charge and he was a bit of a douche.
"How's Masashi doing though?" California asked, before considering, "Well enough to give us a message I 'spose." Well, this certainly made the group of transfers more endearing to the cowgirl.

t o r t u g a Kore Porter and Dande Darling
Dande didn't speak up to introduce herself. She didn't really see the point in it, considering none of them would remember it later. Meeting so many people at once was overwhelming. On the Isle side, there were two of them and she already forgot which one was Mair and which one was Farris. Or if one of them was Ian? That name had gotten thrown in there somewhere. So, she stayed quiet, unwilling to take part in the conversation.
Kore, meanwhile, had already introduced herself and wanted to get down to business. She had already noticed they were talking over each other or repeating things, and that didn't make for a great first impression. If these were the people they were going to be grouped with, Kore wanted actual bonds to them. "You're really gonna just let us borrow a house? That's super nice of you!"
She wasn't even pushing herself to give the strangers a large grin. The offer was absolutely fantastic for the others, considering most of them had never slept outside in their entire lives. Dande could probably make shelter, and maybe the Beast Scout Boys had some experience but Kore couldn't picture the others sleeping in makeshift tents. These people didn't have to house them, and yet here they were.
Dande had been content to listen and not speak again, considering how the men had just ignored her question in order to talk to each other instead. She figured that it wasn't conscious, but it was annoying. Still, she couldn't help but feel like the house was too good to be true. Some part of her felt like there would be a catch twenty-two within the offer. It made her want to speak up, in order to get a real feel for how this would work.
Which is what led to her asking, "How many people can it fit?" Dande spoke louder than she usually would in the presence of strangers. She almost cringed when she heard her own voice sound so foreign. Unfortunately, it was something they had to ask. Even though there was no possible way they could reject a house, it was nice to know what they were getting themselves into by accepting.
"Also does it have anywhere to hang a rope swing?" Kore put in hopefully, just for herself. She already knew how to install them, she just needed a place to stall it. After all, it was unlikely that these kids would let her swing from the boat ropes whenever she wanted. From what she could tell, Tortuga was all beach land and a makeshift neighborhood. There was no trees or vines. Kore would have to put in the effort to make them herself.

b u c h a n n a n Mori Blackbeard and Mino Oldenburg
"Well then, it's just you're luck that we're from Buchannan." Mori had to work to keep her smile in place. She wasn't used to being so nice to people she didn't want to be nice to. Hell, sometimes she had trouble being nice to people she actually liked. Being so fake just wasn't in her DNA. After this, she would need a shower. "We're both enrolled at Witch School, so we should be able to show you around the school tomorrow." Enrolled was a loose term, considering Mori skipped most of her classes in favor of teaching herself whatever she wanted to learn any given day on the school premises.
Mino had decided he was right when figuring out the white haired girl's parents. Her whole body was tensed to the nines, like she could explode at any moment. For now, he would refrain from mentioning any generational rivalries they might share. Any hint on the matter and the girl might actually spontaneously combust. She already looked small enough to snap like a twig. He wasn't about to risk anything.
He was right, though. Mori's posture had never been so good as she was entirely rigid just to keep her smile in place. However, no one was talking. Her explanation hadn't been that bad, had it? She glanced at the other groups quickly and they seemed to be friendly enough, so what was wrong with Buchannan's four? Did they end up with the defective group? Willa would still try to befriend them even if they sucked.
Which would be a loss for the Coven as a whole.
That is what led to her decision to relax. These four didn't seem like they were worth the effort, or even that important. Two of them had spiky ears, which definitely reminded her of a certain family that caused more trouble than they were worth. She wasn't about to force herself into bad acting just for Boiling Isle witches. They didn't even have real familiars. Sure, they waved those wooden things around, but it wasn't real.
Mino coughed, startled by the sudden change in body language. Had she figured out who he was? Usually people couldn't see the family resemblance. In order to avoid getting murdered by a rage-filled octopus lady, Mino turned his attention to the other girl there. Maybe she was in charge and not the Ursula relation. "Lead the way?" He asked, though it came out more like a plea than anything else. He didn't really care how that made him look, he was worried.

s o u t h w a r k Montana Slim and Eddie Radcliffe
"Kassi's got the most details, but even I know he's doing well for himself," Eddie answered with a laugh, thinking about the stories he's heard come out of San Fransokyo. He hadn't been in the city since picking up Daphne for the summer. She didn't have many stories about the gang activity, she tended to stay away from that, but she did keep them updated on Big Hero 6 and their exploits. Fiona was on the edge of her seat for every word.
Montana grinned at the confirmation, since he had always figured that Masashi could go out and succeed. "I'll let you tell the rest of the Mafia," He nodded to Kassi, making sure she knew he was referencing her, before continuing, "They'll love to hear everything you can tell them." His smile was filled with warmth, as he was legitimately grateful for the information. The rest of the Mafia would be too. At least, the ones old enough to really remember him. Things with this group seemed to be turning out better than expected. Montana figured he could trust anyone Masashi had given information to.
"The Mafia, huh?" Eddie tried filtering through his memory, but it came up empty. He wasn't entirely well versed in who was sent where, but a Mafia seemed to be like a big one to miss. "Hopefully this doesn't sound offensive, but who was sent here that runs a mafia?" It was a roundabout way of asking who their boss was, who was actually in charge, but Eddie was still curious to know how a Mafia ended up on the Isle. Gang activity, sure, but an actual mafia? Set up like the Italians?
The cowboy looked at both his sisters before his grin turned wild. The outlier's last name hadn't escaped Montana's attention, he just didn't feel the need to reveal the information as soon as he heard it. Still, the shift in mood made Eddie immediately felt like he had made a mistake in asking. "Glad you asked, Radcliffe." Montana felt rather savage as he said the name like an insult. "Southwark is run by the De Vil family. Collie, the oldest, is our boss."
Unfortunately, Eddie seemed unfazed and smiled at the information. Montana's ego deflated.

Buchannan Edelweiss "Del" Grimhilde and Elvira Blight
During most of the exchange between Mori and the mainland kids, Del had stayed quiet. Should she have taken the lead here? Technically, that was her job. But she also couldn't help but just mentally step back and watch, at least at first.
Then the conversation tanked. Yikes.
Del had noticed Mori's posture change mid-conversation, and a questioning glance could be seen, thrown from one girl to the other. Her own posture was carefully relaxed, confident, and not particularly threatened. Was she screaming irritably on the inside? Sure, but these socially awkward trust fund brats wouldn't be the ones to know that, if she could help it.
Fenemaso croaked on her shoulder again, presumably laughing at Mori's...whatever that was. Well, Del knew what she was doing. Mori had never been an expert in "playing nice with others" even if she actually liked the others she was talking to. She was getting exhausted having to mind her manners with the transfers, and despite also feeling bad for her best friend...
...it was also pretty funny, and the smile now on Del's face might not have been entirely faked, if only from poking fun at her best friend's discomfort.
Then...Mino, was his name? Clearly got tired of the social trainwreck, and Del figured she should probably throw him a bone.
"No problem," She agreed easily enough, gesturing for the transfers to follow them, and giving Mori a sympathetic pat on the shoulder. She was going to pay for that later, she knew. She was good and well aware of that, but there was a 50/50 chance that Mori wouldn't kick her ass in front of the transfers, so she saw her shot and shot it. "So you guys are living in Buchannan for a bit, huh? Like Mori said, we live there, so we can show you around. Do you want the whole rundown of the neighborhood, or are you looking for something specific...?" The dark haired witch threw out a quick, casual question, to test the waters. If anyone got suspicious of the question, she'd just feign curiosity. That wasn't a crime, it wasn't like she was trying to trick them or anything.
"Are there any adults we should talk to, or...anyone in charge, really?" Finding a leader had been one of their goals, as previously discussed. She smiled happily at the girls, totally aware of the sharp flash of annoyance that briefly appeared on Del's face.
"Apart from Willa, it's probably better off that none of the adults talk to you, trust me." Despite still looking faintly insulted -- even though Elvira didn't know any better, there had to have been a better way to word that -- Del recovered quickly, tucking some of her hair behind her ear. "Willa's our leader, but she's out right now. She probably would want to meet you all, though, make sure you're settling in well." She thought for a moment, then turned to Mori. "Think we could time the tour well enough to make Willa the last stop?" And then she turned her attention to the transfers once more, addressing them as well. "...and would you four be alright with that set up?" Because she'd rather take Billy's, Mino's, and Azura's combined word over Elvira's, that much was for sure. Maybe it was a little immature, but she couldn't help adding, "Apart from Willa, though, Mori and I are about as "in charge" as you can get in Buchannan, along with two other guys -- you'll meet them later." Elvira wasn't much older than them, if appearances could be believed, and the rest of the transfers looked like they were their age. So the assumption that they were children was...a little offputting.

Southwark Homie Slim, Maggie DunBroch and Kassi Robinson
When she saw Montana's deflated expression, Homie started laughing before she could stop herself, trying to at least muffle the sound with her hand. While it was hilarious, laughing felt wrong right now, and it was her last intent to turn her brother into the laughingstock of the conversation. Even if he was hellbent on doing that with an attempted power move like that. She raised an eyebrow when the big girl -- the tall one with the strange accent -- gave her brother a light, friendly punch in the shoulder, grinning at him. "You tried, pal." And truly, he had.
Homie figured that it was maybe best to take the heat off of Montana's social stumble, even if she shot another grin at California. She wasn't going to let him live this down, later. Wait until Collie heard about it. Or would she be more stressed that there was an actual confirmed enemy on the Isle? She was stressed a lot lately, this might be a better thing to mock Montana about with someone a little less jumpy...like Cliff or Isabeau. Yeah, they'd probably get a kick out of it. "It's odd, we know -- she liked crime stuff as a kid and everyone just...went with it, y'know?" This was accompanied by a light shrug. If the system worked, it worked, after all. "I mean -- we're cooler than the pirates." Because, you know, they were.
Kassi, in the meantime, was just glad that these guys were still happy to hear about their friend. The crime boss hadn't said it out loud, but she was pretty sure he was nervous about them being angry at them. Phrases like "but if they don't want to hear about me, don't push it" and "I hope this thing works" seemed pretty blatant, at least to her. "He started up a business in San Fransokyo." Eddie probably knew this was a lie -- his little sister was in the city a lot -- but even she was aware of the...implications that the phrase "started a gang" could have in front of...you know. A prince and princess. Maggie seemed pretty at ease, or she was just good at faking it, but she didn't really know a lot about either of them. "He wanted to come along with us, but they wouldn't let him -- said they'd run out of spots." She'd tried offering her spot to him, but the school officials had insisted it was her.
Homie nodded along, partially suspecting that they just didn't want Masashi being on the Isle again, but didn't speak on this thought. Instead, she tried to keep this conversation moving along. They'd been walking through Tortuga for a little bit now, cutting narrowly through Buchannan, and the cowgirl had refrained from giving too many directions. The transfers had said they wanted a tour of Southwark, after all.
Once they got into the borough, though, she spoke up again and actually had information that wasn't laughing at her brother or her boss. "So, we just walked into Southwark, just now. It's on the border of Buchannan's neighborhood -- that's where Witch School is, for your friends going there, I'm guessin' -- but you can tell you're back here in the borough when you get to No Saints Church, here. Frollo runs it, but not many people here are...actually the religious type. So mostly you get the creepy ol' bastard skulkin' around in an empty church." Homie wasn't exactly sure why Frollo lived in Southwark. Sure, he hated magic, but then he had two magic children, so really, she was pretty sure he had no idea what he was doing with his life. "He's a crazy old geezer, but his crepes are sort of edible, if you like that sort of thing." To be fair, Homie actually loved crepes. But it wasn't worth dealing with Frollo, not to her. "He usually doesn't hurt paying customers -- none of y'all are magic, right?" It was probably worth asking, and warning them beforehand. Frollo hated witches, and really, it'd be a pain in their ass to keep him from burning one at the stake or whatever until these kids went home.
"Ah don't think so?" Maggie looked towards her fellow Southwark transfers, and was met with a headshake from Kassi. "Is tha' somethin' tae worry for...?" Granted, Maggie wasn't entirely worried. She could break that old man's bones in a heartbeat if he thought to hurt one of the group. But it was better to be sure about these things.
"Not as far as physical damage -- dude's a relic, really -- I just don't want y'all to be caught off guard by one of his "anti-magic" and "witchcraft of the Devil" rants." At this, Homie threw a casual look at her siblings. "...have either of y'all ever wondered why the bastard put the church here? It's run by people whose name is literally "Devil" and that ain't even touching the rest of the town." It seemed like a stupid place to set up a church -- the entire neighborhood had been given a hellish theme. They were one chanted Latin phrase and a slaughtered pig away from summoning a demon, truly.

Tortuga Mair Baron and Akram Agrabah
Mair shot finger guns at the transfers, acknowledging Hibiki's introduction. He'd already introduced himself by this point, so returning with his own name seemed kind of stupid. "It's nice to meet you~" While still irritatingly singsong, he looked sincere enough, and maybe he was? He still thought this was a group full of spoiled brats that were intruding for...God only knew what reason. But they weren't being outright hostile, so he was willing to just sort of vibe his way through the conversation, and keep tempers low. He'd hate to be the group that blew it by murdering the transfers, after all.
Instead, murderous thoughts aside, the Quartermaster ushered the transfers forward, tipping his head for Farris to follow too. "You might have to squeeze together a little bit, but it's got a couple rooms -- not sure what the building was before we came across it. But it should be large enough to house the lot of you." He explained to Dande, not dropping his cheerful mien once during this conversation. "As for the rope swing, I'm not too sure, pal. I haven't been in it to look in a while. Maybe, though." Mair walked a little bit ahead of the transfers, backwards, so that he was still facing them. Because he didn't want to take his eyes off the little rascals, and also he didn't want them to feel slighted and call their parents for executions. Could they do that? Would they do that?
Mair wouldn't test that theory. He wasn't an idiot, despite popular opinion.
"Meanwhile, we can point out a couple'a important buildings on our way through -- so ya don't get lost." Because they were intended to guide the transfers, and babysit them until Ian came back. "At the end of our exciting little tour, you'll get to meet Ian -- he's off doing some boring something or other right now," Meeting with Willa, Jace, and Collie sounded like a headache, at best. There was no doubt in the Quartermaster's mind that the whole experience was one mind-numbing argument after the next, and Mair would absolutely die if he had to be put into that situation. "Business and whatever, achingly stupid, I promise. You guys get to have the fun of hanging out with us for the afternoon.~" He explained brightly, spinning on his heel to face forward for a minute, leading his little gaggle of transfer-ducks through the worn out, dilapidated Tortuga. "So, Tortuga. We're all along the shoreline right here. Everything below the cliffs is ours, and then a little bit up top too. Right along Buchannan, where the witches are." He leaned in to whisper, loudly and conspiratorially, to the group, "Don't let them -- especially Mori -- hear me say this, but we're cooler." Because pirates were infinitely cooler than a bunch of stuffy not quite witches in bath robes.
Back in tour guide mode, he gestured towards a building at random. "That's Sparrow's Pub, right there. He serves the absolute best piss in a glass in Tortuga -- you're better off going to the Highwater Tavern, Cella's at least fun." Mair threw a cheerful wave towards...someone in the tavern, whether that was Captain Sparrow or not was debatable. What wasn't debatable was the angry scowl that the man threw back at the Baron boy before slamming the door shut. "See what I mean? Terrible customer service, a shame really." Mair chirped, without missing a beat.
"Why did he just look so upset?" Akram felt that was an important question, because most normal humans didn't react like that to a simple friendly wave. Granted, this was the Isle, so people weren't quite as friendly, but that still seemed a little strange, to him.
Mair shrugged, lightly. "I told him he'd get a lot more customers if he smiled, so now he makes a point to not smile when I'm around." That wasn't entirely true, and Farris would be aware of it, as Mair had punched the guy's teeth in a couple of months prior. But that was the edited version of that, because the pirate was entirely sure that the transfers wouldn't appreciate that joke as much.
"Up here is Blackbeard's Smithy -- he's a pretty cool old dude, as far as old dudes go. Doesn't look like he's here right now, but..." Mair cupped his hands around his mouth and without any further warning, screamed,
"OY, ROMAN, YOU IN HERE MATE?"
"Huh?" A blonde head poked out of the forge, taking a second to process the situation, "What're you out here hollering about, Mai- oh, hullo Farris." The small, Sailing Master got a friendly wave and smile from Roman, before the behemoth of a boy left the forge. "I'm not on a break right now so I can't stick around- who are all of you?" While the question was directed to the group, Roman was looking at his friends for an explanation.

Southwark California Slim, Alicio Bête Southwark mafia. Mafia. Alicio didn't realize that Southwark was run by the mafia until Montana actually dropped the word. He hadn't studied up on terms relating to the mafia- at least, he assumed capo was a word attributed to mafias in general- before coming to the Isle.
He doubted anyone put significant time into studying that for this purpose though. Most of Alicio's knowledge of mafias came from dramatized tv shows and really not much else. He didn't even personally watch those shows either, just general knowledge of their existence. He assumed others in this group at least might know vaguely more.
Kassi in specific knew there was a mafia on the Isle. That was... well, Alicio couldn't really say good, but he could neglect to say anything to Billy. No point in stressing her out over missed information that probably wouldn't matter in a couple of days. It wasn't like Kassi could even recall these cowfolk's titles in the gang. They could just come back to the docks later and tell the others about what they learned and gleam over the fact that someone may have known about some of that beforehand.
It momentarily led him on the train of thought that it meant someone from the Isle managed to reach Auradon before this trip. Someone from San Fransokyo too, though he supposed the location didn't surprise him all that much. He wondered for half a second whether Adrian may have met the person and just neglected to mention that. Though he couldn't blame him if he did as Alicio never spent focus on the city outside of visiting for brother and brother's girlfriend purposes.
A very light thought crossed his mind on what exactly the public would have to say to his father in the case that it was revealed an Isle kid did manage to make it to Auradon. Promptly disregarded it as it would probably suck for this Masashi character.
Much to say, the mafia wasn't a topic Alicio had a lot of experience with, not even in the form of horrible made tv shows.
It was due to this that he resorted to being silent, listening to the natural back and forth of those he just met and those he vaguely better. Something funny seemed to happen, albeit Alicio wasn't quite sure what, because despite him saying he'd pay attention, he was a little absorbed in his mind. Whatever it was at least led to Maggie feeling comfortable enough with the triplets to enact physical contact. He was somewhat bewildered.
From that point, he was able to follow the conversation more.
The mafia was cooler than pirates. The Masashi dude ran a business in San Fran... and wasn't allowed on the trip. Alicio was betting that Billy didn't know about that either. She would scream if she discovered they could have had someone who was actually familiar with this place and they just weren't allowed.
The thought crossed his mind that maybe that was the point.
He tried not to think too hard on that yet.
They arrived at Southwark itself, according to one of the girls. She mentioned they were leaving Buchannan and Alicio mentally slapped himself for not looking for Billy just a bit to see if her group had been near while they were on their way over. No Saints Church was the marking point though from one to the other. That was something he thought he could remember.
The guy who ran it also sold crepes. Did all villains just go to making pastries when evil wasn't an option? Weird.
Alicio tried not to stiffen at the mention of magic. How in the hell did Beast actually throw out Frollo when it seemed like they shared some pretty similar beliefs. Don't support magic, promote child abuse, seem to think they are high and mighty. But, Alicio supposed that would overall be something to mention to the Witch School transfers in case they decided they wanted some very thin pancakes. They'll be crushed.
Then Homie switched to ask her siblings a question regarding Frollo and his choice of location. Her sister answered first. "I mean, damn sis, you gotta consider, Southwark wasn't always the stunning place it is today. We put in a lot of work to keep up theme with our good leader. He should be glad we went with this theme, his church at least fits in here, even if it ain't gonna be taken seriously."
She paused for a moment, considering, "Plus, it's not like he's going to actively sit in the magic-run city next door or the pirates. Nobody likes the pirates, not even the deranged old man," she joked. Alicio assumed it was a joke at least. "Really, he had no other choice here."

Buchannan Bellamy Bête, Azura Noceda-Blight That was certainly lucky. Unnervingly lucky in fact.
She flicked her eyes to the other transfer groups, wondering if somehow, in some way, that they had managed to go with a group that correlated to the school they'd be going to. That somehow, the universe had decided to make things easy on them for this one simple task rather than doing anything more useful with that leftover luck.
Unreasonably, for half a second really, she wondered if it was possible that it had been set up. Alas, it was the transfers who approached the different groups on their own volition. There was no one to accuse as two groups of three showed up on both sides and aligned.
Thus, unreasonable.
She gave a short nod at the idea of being toured around the school the following day. She assumed that meant they'd see the city it was in instead, which was helpful of its own. They weren't going to school until the following day at any rate, so she supposed they'd only take the relevant steps when they arrived.
Unfortunately, the group fell into silence afterwards. She wasn't sure what happened to cause it and she going to try and interrupt it until it continued just a few seconds too long and saying anything now would feel stilted and awkward.
The silence got ever so worse in the moment that one of the girls seemed to change mood. Billy's shoulders raised in an immediate response, tensing ever so unwillingly. She let them drop back to natural the moment that the bird started make sounds and Mino spoke up first out of the human-people.
She observed the bird for a moment more, quietly following and listening at the same time. She wasn't sure if it was simply an intelligent word or if those with magic potential on the Isle had miraculously found their way to familiars. Did that mean the lack of magic in here was not as stable as Fairy Godmother had Beast believed? Or was there some other way for the helpful creatures to manage their way into the barrier.
She slid her hand into a pocket, well, both as to seem less suspicious, but the hand she was originally moving curled around a soft creature that had been polite enough to agree to stay as hidden as she possibly could across the trip. Billy was still grateful Soleil had agreed to come with her despite the circumstances. She wondered how the barrier will have effected the little creature seeing as she hadn't actually gotten a conversation with her familiar since they stepped foot on the boat.
Billy planned on answering Del in some form or fashion, yet found herself too slow to get the words out before another. That was happening a horrible amount here. Unfortunately, it was a fair enough question Billy supposed for Elvira to ask, even if only on a technical level. The two girls seemed fairly well equipped to answer their questions.
Which was a statement confirmed by Del easily enough. Her and Mori were in charge, if just under one other person whose name Billy didn't recognize, which likely meant the person was a child of villains like the two in front of them. It was something of a relief that they didn't have to go up to any villains, yet an unsure feeling came about with the idea that it was villain's children in charge of at least one of the areas on this place.
She'd put a hold on that and focus onwards otherwise, given a leader of this place was still a goddamn leader. Billy gave a fair nod, noting Azura did as well but far more smoother and with a more genuine smile on her face, as Billy attempted something of a smile on her own face, "It would be nice if we could meet her as well." Billy would largely prefer if they did, really, but she'd rather not make that overly obvious.

Tortuga Farris Jaohari, Hibiki Hamada Farris was content to let Mair answer the questions. Farris liked to think that his constant cheerful tone, while odd, was certainly a bit more entertaining to listen to.
At very least, Farris thought it was entertaining.
The air Mair had about him as he brushed through the questions, answering them full enough to hopefully sate the transfers. He attempted to stifle a laugh as Mair explained Ian's absence as being boring ol' business. It certainly was, but it also felt like a large oversimplification of the idea that the Isle's leaders had met together and were discussing the transfers. Hopefully the transfers weren't that interested in a pirate leader's business yet.
On the matter of pirates... Farris gave a quick nod and grin to support the idea that they in Tortuga were better than the witches in the Buchannan. They were fine, Farris supposed, but disregarding the coven's issues with a cult, they were a mix of different magic styles. At very least, pirates remained pirates in any form, highly interesting and adventurous.
He snorted out laughter as they passed by Sparrow's Pub. Truly, why Sparrow even bothered to keep it running was a surprise. Only bitter, old pirates still went to the place in an effort to try and spite the crew's main place, but it was really just worse for them. Mair might say the man served piss, but it really came across more like dirt to Farris.
As for Mair's response towards why Sparrow was so upset, Farris let out a burst of laughter, difficult to be held in. "Oh yeah. He doesn't even like to risk giving people a look at his smile in the case Mair's around. Sad sight to see."
They approached the blacksmith's forge, and Mair was going full-on introductory as he chose to call out Roman. He gave a small smile to the giant, before getting the fun question of who the transfers were. Incredible!
"These are the Serpent Prep transfers from Auradon. Roman, meet Kore, Akram, Hibiki, and-" he paused. Squinted his eyes at the fourth kid whom he distinctly recalled not introducing herself. Well, really, all of them only partially introduced themselves. First names and just first names were hardly an introduction and certainly didn't give as much information as Farris would like. Perhaps a vague idea on cultural background, but that was highly limited.
It would have been more useful had they taken a moment to introduce their names fully. Mair Baron. Farris Jaohari. Roman Amara. Whatever last names the transfers had- whatever first names they had. Certainly, Farris could go a step further and request any titles and their parents names, but that may be a step too personal this early on.
"Dande," Hibiki tossed out for Farris.
Farris shot her a large smile before he continued, "and Dande. Transfers, meet Roman Amara, son of Wreck-it Ralph and Liv Amara, also the blacksmith apprentice to Blackbeard, hence the location's name."
Farris couldn't help but notice the way Hibiki went through a range of emotions. In her defense, hearing the last name Amara was an immediate little shock. Nothing like meeting someone whose parents her parents knew, even if Di wasn't on the favorable end of the scale. Then there was the mix of emotions in discovering that he was the kid of Ralph (she supposed his size should have been an easier indicator there) and that Ralph had a kid with Di of all people- only to realize Farris hadn't called Roman's mom Di.
"Liv Amara is on Auradon though," Hibi dumbly pointed out.
She shot a look at Farris who's immediate response was to life until he seemed to realize- "Wait, you're serious?" Hibi nodded her head, rather confused and a tad bit offended that the implication Liv Amara was on the Isle when it was very much Di that should be there. Farris seemed to consider for a moment. "Well then. That'll make an interesting conversation for later. I'm sure Roman would be willing to explain that mix up when he's not so busy."
And wasn't that concerning food for thought. Hibi was pretty sure that Farris had simply avoided saying that he wasn't wrong directly, but Hibi had some concerns for what that meant for the Liv- or Di- on Auradon.
She attempted to take a glance at any other Auradonian in their party in hopes for an equally as concerned ally.

s o u t h w a r k Montana Slim and Eddie Radcliffe
Luckily, Homie’s laughter didn’t force him to crawl back into his anxious shell. He was too used to the teasing of his siblings for it to phase him. Montana wished it wasn’t in front of the transfers, but he couldn’t call her out in front of everyone. For now, she was safe. The transfer’s reaction was confusing, but Montana figured he could roll with it and try to make a friend. “I really thought I had him there.” Just to make sure they were cool, he looked to the obviously older man. “No harm meant, just wanted to see if you were as scared of her as your old man.”
Eddie waved him off, still smiling. Montana decided he might be a psychopath. Really, Eddie was more interested in the sights of the neighborhood than getting into an unnecessary fight. He wasn’t offended by Montana’s words, so there was nothing to say about it. As they walked up to the Church, Eddie eyed it suspiciously. The story of Quasimodo had always made him so wary of religion and it's leaders. Or maybe it was just the fact that he was also a redhead and could relate to Quasimodo. Either way, Eddie didn't trust the Church.
Montana had remained quiet while Homie showed off the Church, making sure not to let out any quips about Frollo or his shitty crepes. Big Fork was the superior choice for every meal of the day, no matter what Sari said about the Faykery. But, California had made good points. “Seriously was he supposed to go to the Outlands? Then no one would visit him, not even the actually religious ones. At least now he can spew his hate speech to drunk teens who come here to prank him.” That was a good way of describing Homie’s work, right? At least in front of the transfers. They didn’t need to know the real way things worked around here. Not until they were thoroughly attached to them in a binding manner.
“Does he serve the crepes in the Church?” Eddie questioned, looking up at the building. It was rather large for what it was. Maybe there was a dining area on one of the higher floors. “I feel like that would give him more foot traffic than the religious meetings.” Eddie stepped back a bit, looking for a bell tower and any movement. If he had somehow adopted another son, he was planning a rescue mission. Still, these three obviously didn’t like him so Eddie was gonna follow their lead. “Are we sure no one’s trapped in there?" His question was asked in a whisper, as if Frollo was listening in. Old man probably was, seemed like the type to be around every corner. At this point, Eddie just wanted to leave.

b u c h a n n a n Mori Blackbeard and Mino Oldenburg
Sometimes, Mori questioned why she wanted a best friend who pulled the type of things Del did. Between her bird and the strange pat on her back, Del would have to pay later. Mori could play the long game, however. For now, she would keep up appearances. There was no need for any of these Auradon kids to know that she had a problem with anything Del said or did. It was easier to relax now anyways, now that she had met them all. None of the teenagers in front of her were intimidating. Maybe they had power on Auradon, but this was her home. In Buchannan, they were weak.
And in general, if Mori was reading the vibe correctly.
All of them were off balance, almost fighting to get a word in edge wise. Elvira did so seamlessly, interjecting wherever she saw fit. Mino was also relaxed with his words, but there was worry in his expressions. Azura hadn’t spoken at all yet, but maybe she was just shy. Billy was the one who fit her description best, but even her response was weak. She wasn’t a commander, but none of her friends were either. Trying to pick out the leader was proving more difficult than Mori had imagined. Maybe the Coven got stuck with all the extras? Mori fought to keep her laughter in at the thought. It wouldn’t help the situation if she just laughed at her joke, and she definitely couldn’t say it in front of them. Not when she was trying to make a good impression.
“We’ll time it just right for you guys,” Mori sent the group a forced smile, then looked to Del. Hopefully she understood what Mori had meant. It wouldn’t do well to walk in with these four when Willa was reuniting with Wyn. Sure, they would eventually meet the center of Willa’s world, but until they were known to be trustworthy, Mori was going to push that off for as long as possible. Wyn was Willa’s biggest joy, and therefore her biggest weakness. The baby couldn’t even defend herself. It seemed almost useless to care so much about a creature that could live so carelessly.
Meanwhile, Mino had made his way to the font of the pack. Everyone seemed to be more at ease now, and it would help everyone if they actually made friends. Plus, if he could win Mori over before she found out his father stabbed her mother through the stomach with a boat, it would be for the best. “So what’s on this tour? Do we get to see your favorite places in the town? Do you guys have any inns? Food recommendations?” Asking people about themselves, their hometown and favorite places, that was always key to building relationships. It would make everyone less nervous, small conversation that would help everyone. His group needed these businesses for shelter and substance. They could do with a boost to their economy. Even if they didn’t like any of their parents or adults, this way they could pick who they wanted to support. It was a win-win.

t o r t u g a Kore Porter and Dande Darling
The young girl sent Mair a grateful smile for his answer, but didn't reply further. Squeezing together wouldn't be too bad, they had just spent all that time on a boat without private rooms. Auradon dorms were always shared as well, so it was nothing they weren't used to. Dande quickly found herself missing the boarding school. She liked these boys, certainly, but so far there hadn't been anyone who had given her that spark of friendship she came here looking for. Maybe the Hook kids would be more exciting. Plus, she had always wanted to meet Mr. Smee. She could probably get the boys to tell her where they were.
On the flip side, Kore had to hide her disappointment. She understood, of course, but the lack of an immediate yes had her worried. Once they saw it, she could figure out the best way to make it happen. Right now, she had to pay attention to what Mair was saying, it was probably super important. Their obviously respected their leader, but the relationship was relaxed. She had to respect that, though she was pretty pleased they didn't go into detail about it. Business was boring, after all.
At the crack about witches, Dande had to laugh. She couldn't help it, these two had jokes. Neverland was full of magic, but she never had to deal with witches there. Fairies were just fun. Mermaids had attitude, but so long as Dande gave them something shiny, they were appeased. Dande wondered if Witches were that bad or if they just had a bias. Sparrow had just proven they had some things to work on. Weren't Pirates known for their bad behaviors? Dande thought to herself, but didn't dare speak it out loud. It was just a joke, but she didn't want these two to think she was serious. So far, she wasn't comfortable enough to show off her personality.
Once they got into the introductions with this new kid, Dande gave a little wave when Hibiki spoke her name. She definitely could have said it herself, but whatever. What was done was done. At the revelation about Liv Amara, Dande hid her surprise. When the young girl looked at Hibiki to gauge her reaction, she met her eyes. Deciding to take pity on her, she mouthed, "Are you okay?" It seemed like she needed some moral support. The universe had just dropped a bomb on her.
Trying to get the attention off Hibiki while she processed, Kore stepped forward, "Roman, I hope you don't mind me asking this but how tall are you, dude?" She was impressed, truly. Plus, it was the first thing that came to her mind. He was huge. At best, it would keep the conversation flowing without having an awkward pause and at worst, it would cause a fight. Either way, Hibiki could have the moment she was obviously needing. Kore didn't really understand why, but she wasn't gonna leave the girl to struggle.

Tortuga Mair Baron, Roman Amara, and Akram Agrabah
Mair's grin grew even more huge at Farris's support for his joke. "It just means the crew has to be even merrier in response." Because what better way to piss off a grumpy, bitter old man with no teeth than to be constantly smiling around him, really. He'd heard before that Sparrow used to be a lot less of a general pain in the ass to be around, before all pirates were relegated to the Isle. But that was Sparrow's problem, not his.
Roman gave a faint smile at Mair's joke, still focused on the situation at hand. Hibi's reaction didn't shock him at all, he had already assumed that his...aunt...fake mother...? Would be pretending to be Liv in Auradon, and keep that information a closely guarded secret. That being said, it was idiotic for Auradon to try to not fact check that information somehow. But, no one ever said the mainlanders were smart he guessed.
He squinted somewhat suspiciously at Hibi, catching onto the fact that a) she knew who Liv Amara was, and b ) her fellow transfers actually seemed concerned for her wellbeing in this situation. That was interesting, and he was shocked Farris hadn't named their parents. But she had to have been from San Fransokyo, if that information was actually relevant enough to her to concern her classmates.
But that was a question for another time, as he was thrown off a little by Kore's...yeah, Kore's question. "I'm seven and a half feet," He admitted, somewhat proudly. He was the largest young adult on the Isle, and capable of smashing metal with his bare hands and throwing his crew mates like they were small children. Even now, he absolutely dwarfed Mair and Farris. "Dad's nine feet, even."
Mair, naturally, took a chance to interject, ribbing Roman easily. "I think he started outgrowing us, gods, what was it Farris? By the time we were five?" Granted, he and Farris weren't the tallest people in the crew, not by a long shot. But they were around Roman's age, so it made sense.
Akram was lost, and while Roman's height was incredibly impressive, he thought the easy subject change was kind of disconcerting. "Not to go off topic again, but are you saying there's an actual villain hiding in Auradon?" Akram, admittedly, didn't know a lot about Di Amara, not as a villain. He knew Liv Amara, the champion for biological and technical advances in the medical field that made everyday life so much healthier and easier for society as a whole. It was hard not to know her, being interested in the fields he was interested in. But the fact that an entire villain had been masquerading her life was...disturbing.
"Are we sure it's hiding -- it isn't like your king hasn't pardoned psychopaths before." Roman grunted, raising an eyebrow. He didn't want to play Debbie Downer in the conversation, but this was literally his issue. Beast had let Yama and Masashi go back to the mainland years ago, while Roman and his own father -- and his mother for that matter -- neither of which had truly done a horrible thing in their lives, were still here. The giant of a man cleared his throat, realizing that political discourse mostly aimed towards talking trash about their visitor's home wasn't the best thing to have right now. "I've gotta get back to work. Blackbeard's expecting me to have these swords done by dark." Which, it was already dusky and gloomy outside, despite being morning, but that was just life with smog. "Nice meeting you lot, welcome to the Isle." With an attempt at a lighter demeanor, and a small wave, the blonde vanished back into the forge.
"He's a lot of fun when he's not working," Mair supplied as gestured for the transfers to follow him again, throwing a curious glance towards Hibi. Roman was also a lot of fun when not confronted with how unfair life was, and how much their lovely king needed to be thrown off the highest tower of his stupid castle. But that part was left unsaid, because Mair was supposed to be giving tours, not political facts. "Remember that time I told him I needed a lift to get started climbing to the crow's nest, and he slung me up there? Ahaha, I wonder if I can get him to do it again?" He questioned Farris, before his attention was immediately grabbed again by the next spot in their tour.
"And this, ladies and gentleman, is the Highwater Pub. Best drinks in Tortuga, and Cella only threatens to kill you when you don't pay your tabs." He was mildly joking, and to put an ease to the slightly concerned look on Akram's face, he added, "Even if she knows you don't get paid til the end of the week."

Southwark Homie Slim, Maggie DunBroch and Kassi Robinson
"How else do you think he could get people to work for him?" Homie asked, wishing she had a flashlight or a candle right now for dramatic effect. "He locks them up at night in the tower, and lets them out in the morning to make some shitshod crepes." This was entirely false, but she tried to keep a straight face, seeing if she had a better outcome than Montana's attempt to scare them a little. Eddie already seemed frightened by the dilapidated old church, so maybe she could poke the bear a little bit. They didn't know enough about Isle life to prove her wrong, and if they did, a bet for them to sneak into the church up to the bell tower would be entertaining.
The middle Slimlet kept walking, as if she'd just mentioned a fact that was part of their regularly scheduled tour, and they were moving on. If they questioned it, she could obviously stop and stir the pot further. But for now, they did have a job to do.
"I mean, he could've not opened up a church -- he's a lot better at the crepe thing. You know the phrase, "don't quit your day job"? He needs to take that to heart." This response was for her brother and sister, with a light shrug. "Tell me one person on this Isle that isn't already aware they're going to hell. That's like the old man going outside and screaming "the sky is smoggy!" like we don't already know that." Criminals needed food, not the Catholic Church. Especially not the Catholic Church Remix, ran by a genocidal freakshow.
"So ah'm guessin' my career in meteorology is dead 'ere, then?" Maggie wasn't sure whether to take Homie's comment about Frollo violating every labor law ever seriously or not, but why not answer with a joke instead, to seem less confused.
"Don't quit the princess gig." Kassi added solemnly, nodding in response.
Homie decided, by this point, that she liked these kids.
"Okay, but is there somewhere tae get food out here that won't come with a sermon?" Maggie, admittedly, was thinking about food. That was a poor topic to think about, when they were on the Isle where food was scarce, but if they had crepes with a side of Jesus, maybe they had other, more important foods too.
Homie looked at Montana and California for an explanation, there. This was technically Montana's business, from Big Fork all the way down to places like Old Scratch, so if he wanted to take over as food tour guide, she'd shut up and let him.

Buchannan Edelweiss "Del" Grimhilde and Elvira Blight
Del returned Mori's look, understanding. Willa would freak if this merry band of misfits were brought around her little girl. She wasn't about to do something that reckless, because it'd be hers and Mori's head if she did. The dark haired witch thought for a moment, before an idea occurred to her, and she looked at the bird on her shoulder. "Fen, go to Willa's house, and tell her to meet us at the school, okay? School?" Her familiar, damn him, was smart enough to follow those instructions, but she needed to make sure he focused on repeating that word, not something stupid. If he showed up and told Willa "tell" then that wouldn't be helpful at all. The black and white bird ruffled his feathers, and repeated the word, "School~" With a croak, before taking off from her shoulder and flapping off, presumably, to find Willa's house. He wouldn't screw around right now, she knew he wanted to show off in front of the transfers.
With that handled, her attention turned back to the literal children -- and whatever Elvira was -- in question. "We'll show you guys everything there is to see," She promised the boy, with a smile that at least looked natural, gesturing for them to follow them off the docks. She didn't mention that this meant excluding the Bloodfire cult, if they could help it. "We've got two restaurants in Buchannan itself...and I guess an inn? Do we count Rossignol as an inn?" There were technically rooms in it, even though no one really stayed in it. They all lived here, it would be stupid, and Fausto mostly just used them as storage. She wouldn't doubt he would rent them out for sleeping, though, if he saw some profit in it. "Then we've got a library, a couple stores -- Willa runs one herself actually, she sells herbs -- we've got the hospital..." She trailed off, then, looking at the transfers. "Does any of that sound like a place to start?" It was better to ask now, before they actually got to Buchannan, so they could find the best route there.
Elvira was actually keeping her mouth shut for a minute, mostly watching the interaction carefully, keeping that stupid smile on her face. She watched the bird fly off, mildly fascinated. Either the bird was well exceptionally well trained, or familiars were possible here after all. Her hand absentmindedly went to the top of her staff, rubbing her hand over the monkey carved at the top. Monkford was quiet right now, even with the activity of suspected familiars. She wondered, briefly, about how much magic the barrier let through after all, and how much it would specifically take to wake her friend back up.

Wilhelmina "Willa" Sanderson daughter of winifred sanderson and billy butcherson
"Hi baby," Willa cooed when Bronwyn finally opened her eyes. The young mother brushed her daughter's dark hair off to the side of her face with a light smile. Nothing mattered to her more in that moment. Not the Coven, not Auradon. Just her child, the light of her life. None of her Covenmates understood how she felt, why she was willing to leave them all in the middle of a meeting just to see why her baby was crying.
She didn't blame them, she couldn't name a magic-user who had a good mother. Not one alive, anyways.
Bronwyn grabbed at her mother's chin and Willa let out a breathless laugh. Little Wyn followed her mother's example by expelling a chain of giggles and repeating her movement. Almost like she wanted to make her mother happy, patiently waiting for a copycat reaction.
As she neared the door to her place, she noticed a familiar bird waiting outside. The sight caused a flood of fear down her spine. Del was calling, which could mean anything. Especially now, with Auradon's arrival. "Fenemaso." Willa knelt down in front of the little bird and shifting her daughter into one arm. The bird only said one word, but it was enough for Willa to know what she had to do.
"I know Mommy just got you back," The redhead told her daughter as she stood up, making sure to throw a little treat to Fen. "But why don't we go see Dallie-girl?" Wyn clapped at the news, making Willa's smile go soft. No matter what bad news came her way, Wyn would always be there to brighten up her mood. It was part of the reason Willa never wanted to leave her behind.
But this was different, and it could mean danger. She would keep Wyn away for as long as possible.

Southwark California Slim, Alicio Bête "What I would give to see him preach to the animals out there," California mused aloud. Oh, she couldn't imagine the pack of feral people out there would appreciate a religious man who would try to persuade them onto the side of God. Either he manages to convert some and the mafia deals with less of those monsters or they lose the fanatic.
Maybe it'd be worth it to try and slip something about mongrels needing God to Frollo next time she saw him. Or tell one of her underlings to, else she risk the gospel he liked to spew at her.
California shot a grin at Eddie as he questioned how well the church did, rather than the crepe business. "You may go into the shop looking for some crepes, but you really think he won't sit at a table and start spewing a sermon?" Obnoxious for sure, but if you risk going to the shop, you risk dealing with it nonetheless.
She snorted as her sister continued to play up Frollo being an absolute nuisance in the city. He was, but she hadn't realized how fun it was to actually explain that to people who hadn't lived around the guy since childhood.
Homie wasn't wrong, but California had to admire how oblivious Frollo must be to preach to sinners that they'd never make it to heaven. Surely he had to know that by essence, by being put on this forsaken island, he was going to hell too.
California would dare to make the stretch and say this was hell. Had the god of the underworld and everything, even if he was an arse that did nothing for half the year.
She brightened at the second question Maggie posed, more serious than the first, eyes immediately darting for Montana. "Well now, that's a question that should be aimed at my good brother here, seeing as he owns not only most of the food business on this side of the isle, but the best restaurant on the entire isle as well!" Yeah, she was going to brag for him. He was free to do his own extra bragging if he wanted, but damn, if California didn't want the transfer's first thoughts bout this place to be how great Montana's food was.
To be honest, it rather surprised her when the prince boy spoke up rather suddenly, for the first time since meeting him. Any longer and California may have started a bet he was mute. He perked up rather suddenly with wide eyes in what California was willing to be was awe, "You own a restaurant here?" He seemed to open his mouth to continue before closing it- more questions to follow up or dumb comments that would come across as insensitive?
Either way, she wouldn't have pegged a prince to be interested in that of all things. Auradonians, sheesh.

Buchannan Bellamy Bête, Azura Noceda-Blight This was starting to get painful and Azura felt a tad bit bad about not helping as much. Albeit, she wasn't entirely sure how to help aside from staying quiet- she saw how every time Mino or Elvira spoke, Billy tensed up just a tad bit more. And then Azura started to realize it wasn't just every time one of them spoke- it was every time anyone spoke or a moment went by without anyone speaking.
Sympathy raised in her heart over the sheer fact that it could not be good for her health over something so small and simple as a conversation with strangers.
So, when Del started listing off Buchannan locations to visit first, Azura watched as Billy's body stiffened slowly with each and every new place tossed at them. It was probably the reason she didn't say anything immediately-
Billy simply had no idea what any of those locations entailed or what the most efficient route would be in picking one place or another. She didn't know how the city was set up and she didn't know the people they'd stumble across in each place. She didn't know anything and it was freaking her out because normally she has an idea of what the other person expects from her but she simply can't tell here. She doesn't know and-
Then Elvira was being uncharacteristically quiet and Azura felt that Mino would only speak up the longer the silence went on, so she offered a suggestion instead, "How about the library?"
To Azura, personally, the library sounded like a comfortable location. It was distinct as well, left less further questions like 'which store out of these options' or 'which of these two restaurants.' She supposed the hospital was another distinct location, but she wasn't sure if the hospital would be comfortable or feel as stifling as normal ones did.
Then, she supposed, it wasn't like a hospital could cause worse stiffness in conversation than what was already present.

Tortuga Farris Jaohari, Hibiki Hamada This wasn't a thought process Hibi was enjoying. Still, she gave Dande a reassuring nod despite the fact that she felt like she needed to reevaluate everything she's ever done in life. The implications of this new fact were actually kinda frightening, but in one of those senses that you're looking in on your life in a third person kind of view realizing just how messed up some things were.
She mentally noted the idea that after maybe attempting to give some heads up to her hometown about the villain-they-actually-consider-a-villain living there, she should probably make some attempt to confront her ex about the situation too.
Who knows, maybe he's an innocent contender in the whole thing too.
"I think you're overestimating there, Mair. He came out of his poor mother's womb half the size he is now. Truly, he hardly grew in comparison to that," Hibi heard Farris mention with a laugh.
On second though, Hibi didn't know Lysander that well to judge. When they actually dated, she was more focused on other things and judging whether or not he was the kid of an evil clone of Liv Amara wasn't on the table.
Which, really, the whole Liv Amara being Di Amara was freaky. Oh! Oh oh oh! Wonderful idea. Hibi could come back and bother Roman enough so that he let her meet his parents. It wasn't like that wasn't already on here goals, but she was originally more focused on the whole Ralph parentage than whoever the mom was or was not. But now!
Hibi could not wait to tell Hono that she met Liv Amara before Hono did. And that Hono had been admiring a villain this entire time. Sucker.
Then she perked up and squinted her eyes at Roman, with an elevated mood suddenly upon her, lightly forgetting about that technically it was a bad thing Di was on Auradon. Cause it was... for everyone but Hibi at the moment. And she guessed Di. Probably Lysander too. Okay, so Hibi probably shouldn't be as cheery about that.
Luckily she didn't have to as a sound of offense escaped her mouth at the accusation. "Hey! Okay, well, you're right about Beast pardoning people that probably shouldn't be pardoned," little bit of offense to Yama and Masashi, but in her defense, they hung out with Hono so, "But to be fair, San Fransokyo was reluctant to send their parents over here with Obake and Di- er, Liv, I guess, in the first place. And nobody knew it was Liv."
San Fran actually tried its best to keep its criminals in the city. They were one giant, slightly corrupted family. Obake and Di excluded because they went a tad bit extreme and it really wasn't as cool of them. And Beast was demanding they send someone at least, because he knew the city wasn't crime free. Hence the heroes and all.
And Hibi would go as far to say that it absolutely was not the city's fault that they confused Di and Liv again. Hibi was pretty sure, last time she checked, that Di made her whole life's work based around the fact she was able to act like Liv well enough to make everyone believe her. Of course she could do that again.
The matter of Ralph was... well, it was a more depressing story. But the video game realm didn't get Ralph like Candy Hollow and the Fix-its did and they couldn't really fight as much when it came to that. And they couldn't quite gather the same kind of support San Fran had for its bad guys to stop Beast when he came for the gentle giant. Oh, her mom absolutely raged about that here and there still. Hibi would... attempt to bring that up to Roman and family at some point in time when he was less busy.
And then he left and they were off again, Hibi left back into her own mind.
Farris was pretty sure that he should be offended more on behalf of the Isle kids, and inside he was over the fact that there was a city that essentially got away scot free with sending so few villains over. Lucky to their kids, if they had any. Not like it would actually help him or many others, since even San Fransokyo seemed to send over what they had to consider their worst villains. Unfortunately, Jafar and Narissa met that standard in their respective home places, so Farris seemed resigned to a fate on the Isle anyway.
But. The thread of curiosity was caught instead and it was easier to be curious than upset at the moment. He could save that for later. "So. You're from San Fransokyo?" He attempted to ask casually.
"Yep." God Farris wanted to scream at the lack of answer. Was it so difficult to add a little extra information to that. A 'Yep, my parents are so and so. That's why I recognized his parent's name!'
So he mentally sighed before shooting a grin back at Mair. "Oh I'm sure, you just have to catch him outside of the shop first is all. And probably sweeten him up before hand so he's more willing to agree."
"Cella!" Farris's eyes lit up upon mention of her name and arrival at her place. He shot the transfers a sharp grin, rather ignoring how much Mair was frightening the kids. "Cella Hook's her full name, sister to one Chrysanthe 'Chrys' Hook and one Jamie Hook. The three of them? Triplets born to one Lady Caine and one Captain Hook! In my absolutely unbiased opinion, they're much cooler than their parents."
His eyes flicked to Mair again, "Don't suppose we have time to greet her too, or did Roman set us back too much?"

s o u t h w a r k Montana Slim and Eddie Radcliffe
Once again, Eddie seemed ready for any jokes this family had. Homie's claims didn't scare him, they were far too unrealistic to do so. Who couldn't fight off an old man? Frollo had to be living like a gremlin now, if you could even call it living. Too many health problems, not nearly enough health care. Eddie would feel bad for the guy, if not for the whole kidnapping abuser thing. "I think I can live without crepes for awhile," He confirmed with a smile at California. To even do business with that man would be rather unethical. Or maybe California was just joking, like her siblings. Her hypothetical seemed much more realistic. Any religious old man had the capability of something like that.
Once Maggie had asked her question, Montana's eyes gleamed. He had been waiting for an opening like this. "Well, I happen to be in charge of nearly every business in the area. Food-wise, there's the Faekery, where you can find anything sweet. Sugar Plum might shriek at you, but Sari is generally the one running it." Anything was better than going to Frollo's place. Plus, Sari actually made sure their stuff was good. Even if Sugar Plum would try to manipulate you into giving them more money. It's not like anyone was naïve enough to fall for it.
"Old Scratch is a saloon, but I provide most of the food, which means it's actually good." If they wanted dinner with a drink, at least. He adored Ronnie, she was the one who really cared about her place. Almost as much as he cared about Bigfork. He respected her for that, and for breaking up with Ian. Cliff was on thin ice. "Devil's Dancefloor is more of a club, as you can tell by the name, but still, they get my food." Montana would never admit it to his sisters, but he thought Homie had let the place slide after opening up the gym. Still, he was proud of her for going after her passions.
Now that Montana had run through the businesses that he did not own, it was his time to shine. He had to get through the others before even speaking the name of his baby. "The pièce de résistance, however, is Big Fork." He pointed in the direction of his restaurant, the only thing he cared about more than his salsa recipe. Which none of these people would get. Not even if they paid him. "It is the best place to get lunch or dinner. I decided not to take business away from Sari by opening up for breakfast." Also, not enough food. He wouldn't be able to feed anyone if he was open fourteen hours a day, let alone get the workers. "We have whatever Mexican food you desire, and salsa people would kill for. Everything is certified fresh, straight from the Slim Family Farm." Big Fork had the best anything they could find, but Montana was trying to be humble. Was everything fresh? Not really, but who was going to call him out on that?

b u c h a n n a n Mori Blackbeard and Mino Oldenburg
Mori was going to say something snarky about the bird, but Mino beat her to it rather quickly. It was probably for the best, seeing as nothing she said would've been nice. "Wait you guys have familiars?" He looked between the two, his excitement doubling quickly. Hull was currently above the clouds somewhere, having refused to land until they were somewhere with good fish. Mino thought he was being dramatic, but let it be. The bird would land whenever he got tired. "I didn't think that they would really exist, without magic. I wonder if they have an internal source, like the Boiling Isle witches." Mino sent a questioning look to the witches behind him, but didn't stop long enough for either of them to be able to reply.
He looked around Mori, as if searching for something Mori knew he would never find. Her little salamander, Yinmn was currently resting on the nape of her neck, hidden behind her long hair. It was his favorite place, and he rarely moved. If the cat hadn't left her resting place, Carbon was still beneath the hearth at the Smithy, watching over Blackbeard while he works. Mori was grateful to them both for being out of sight. These Auradon kids had no right to see their familiars, or judge them. It was the right way to feel, she knew, when Mino's interest left her once he couldn't see any animals and turned back to Del, "Did you teach your bird to talk? Can you speak to all birds or just yours?"
Instead of saying something along the lines of do you ever shut up, Mori just sent her friend a smile. Maybe this kid would be all the revenge she needed. If he was annoying her, there was no way Del could put up with his endless questions for long. It would be rather fun to keep quiet and let him continue without interruption, but Del had mention the Inn and sparked an idea. "Do you think Fausto would let these guys sleep there?" Mori's eyes left her friend to sneak a peek at the girls. All three of them seemed like they might be mute, at least partially. Mori didn't care so long as they didn't try to blame her, or Tait.
"Probably not enough empty rooms for all of you, and I don't know what the price would be, but it's a viable option." There was no way the Rossignol had enough space for twelve kids, but this way they seemed like the Coven had tried to help them settle in better.. "I mean, if you brought money for lodging." If they hadn't, they would have to rely on the kindness of others. On the Isle, that was known as nonexistent. She wasn't sure how many people in the Coven would agree to house these kids. If they cleared out the attic of the clubhouse, they might be able to fit, but that didn't seem like the best option for anyone involved. Mori did not want to spend the next few days cleaning out water-damaged books and drying herbs.

t o r t u g a Kore Porter, Dande Darling, and Jamie Hook
Kore nodded as he spoke, following along with wide eyes. When he explained how tall his father was, she actually gasped. She had always felt that her dad was a giant, but when compared to Roman's dad, he was a kid. Her mother always said that she hero-worshiped her father, but in general, it was never questioned. Right now, Kore was wondering if her dad was really as cool as she thought he was. "That's amazing," She offered up, instead of getting stuck in a spiral of emotional disaster. Roman's family was super interesting. Kore wondered if he was actually half giant.
At this point, she had actually forgotten why she had asked in the first place. When Akram mentioned the villain on Auradon, her smile faded. It was dangerous to have someone like that on the mainland. She was lucky, no one she loved was in the area Liv Amara would be. Hibiki didn't have that chance, though. Kore spared a look at the girl and was rather confused when she saw the girl look, sort of? Happy. Which couldn't be right at all. There was no reason for Hibi to be excited by this news. Kore figured she was just losing her reading skills since leaving the jungle.
When they moved on, Dande looked interested. Another Pirate meant another chance to see anyone connected to her. "Do we get to meet everyone in Tortuga on your tour?" She asked hesitantly, with a light smile. Sure, it was partially a joke, but she was curious to see if everyone was looking out their windows to see a signal for them to come out and introduce themselves. Dande wouldn't put it past them, and it was actually a good idea for anyone trying to get on their good side. Which, it was clear that these people wanted to be liked.
Her head snapped to Farris when he said Hook. Her smile grew into a grin and she looked to Mair hopefully, "You can't introduce Hibi to her mother's childhood friend's son and leave me hanging on the Hooks." She held in a laugh at her unintentional joke and tried to contain her excitement. It simply wouldn't be fair for them to tease her like that, right? They just had to go into the pub now. If not, she was definitely sneaking away and coming back later. Pretty quickly, too, because she wasn't sure she could get back here if they ended up any further.
As if called by the noise, a young man came out of the pub. He dead stopped when he saw people he didn't recognize. Dande figured that didn't happen very often, it was a small isle. "Ah, so these are the Auradon kids, huh?" He looked over each of them, definitely judging them. His eyes brushed over her, but regarded Kore warily. Much like herself, Hibi was passed over while his eyes stopped on Akram. The man laughed, Dande had to assume it was Akram's appearance. Even she thought the sweaters were horrible. "Oh, this is going to be fun."

Southwark Homie Slim, Maggie DunBroch and Kassi Robinson
"I wouldn't let Ronnie hear you say she can't cook," Homie laughed, elbowing her brother lightly. She knew what he meant, and knew that he was just excited to be talking about his food. But if the dog girl caught any wind that the food was good because Montana cooked it, there would probably be hell to pay as a result. As a bit of context for the transfers, she threw in, "Ronnie owns Old Scratch, and can be a little..." What was a nice word for it? Ronnie was her friend and she didn't want to insult her, just describe the hound's typical "Ronnie way" of going after problems. "...enthusiastic." Other words would fit here, such as being a diva, or being melodramatic. But enthusiastic probably worked as well.
"Meaning?" Maggie wasn't quite sure if she wanted to know the answer to this question, but still figured she should probably ask just in case. It was better to get a read on these guys before too long. Despite this smooth transition so far, it was still better to just...figure out everyone they could. For all Maggie knew, these three were the most agreeable in this gang, and that's why they were sent.
"One time she broke up with a scummy guy, and she specifically learned to wear heels just so she could be taller than him." She pointed out, smirking a little bit. "She's also a big fan of breathing fire as a party trick -- which can be pretty dangerous." Montana was safe from having a complex about his height, sure, but he wasn't safe from getting literally roasted. Ronnie was a good person, but could veer towards petty if she felt slighted. "Then I own the Dancefloor." She felt like that needed to be explained too, for context.
Maggie, at least, looked excited at the concept of breathing fire, but before she could speak up again, Kassi interrupted.
"You guys can grow crops out here?" She didn't sound skeptical or dubious, more fascinated than anything. She assumed these guys were the farmers -- they'd introduced themselves as Slim, right? -- so the questions just rushed out. "How do you account for the weather and pollution? The soil conditions?" It wasn't meant to be an insult, but Maggie cringed lightly. Reminding these kids that their environment was subpar may not have been the best move to make, but Kassi pressed on. "What kind of crops thrive out here?"

Tortuga Mair Baron, Cella Hook and Akram Agrabah
"Shoot, you're right Farris. I never stood a chance, did I?" As the brown and white haired man shook his head in mock disappointment, Akram noticed briefly that the smile had never really left the kid's face. Was he just that happy, or...? The prince decided that it would probably be less awkward if he didn't bring that up. But it was notable, and he wondered if there was something with that.
At Farris's look of disappointment, Mair barked out a quick laugh, clapping his hand down on the smaller boy's shoulder. "Farris likes hearing about people -- their families, their names, the like." He explained, giving context to the situation. Especially after he recited the family tree of the Hooks, it made a lot more sense to Akram. Typically, people didn't have to introduce each other by their parents in Auradon -- most people already knew, or otherwise there was a low likelihood of clashing opinions, seeing as they'd put anyone who didn't get along with them on this...desolate rock. However, they were guests with these mostly unknown kids, it was only fair.
"Ah! I'm sorry, ah...Aladdin and Jasmine are my parents, I just have one sister though, she's my twin and ah...she didn't...come to the Isle with me. Her name's Aisha." Frantically, the young prince tried to awkwardly parrot the information the same way Farris had about the Hook triplets. "She's my twin." That was sufficient, right?
"He doesn't really have a choice now, he can't speed walk you guys away." After the boy appeared, another girl followed who bore a slight resemblance to him. She grinned at the transfers, before addressing Farris. "Looks like you're already out here making friends, aren't you Ferry?" She'd caught that, the Aladdin kid's explanation, and was waiting to see her friend's reaction to that. After all, that was his family's Big Enemy, although calling them rivals would be stupid. Auradon had made it clear who the losers were, and they definitely weren't the kids visiting a desolate rock for a...summer...vacation? Squinting with her good eye, she studied the group. Her attention fell on the girl who mentioned meeting them, and she grinned, deciding to be pedantic, "Ain't that what hooks are for, though?"
Akram wondered if this sense of humor was an Isle thing, a crew thing, or just two isolated weird kids.

Buchannan Edelweiss "Del" Grimhilde and Elvira Blight
Oh thank whatever god was out there, more than one of them was talking now.
Del was still puzzled as to the reason these kids were so timid, really. If she were going to a prison island where the inhabitants were technically muzzled and powerless to hurt her, then she wouldn't be acting like she was scared. It was...weird, and while she was tense herself, the one girl, Billy, tensing every time she spoke was just stressing her out more.
The look she threw....Azura, was it? Was grateful as she was actually able to answer her question.
"Sure! You two might actually like visiting, another one of you runs it." The witch gave a quick gesture towards the witchlings, to specify who she was talking about. Pointy ears, palismans, the like. "It's run by Everett Clawthorne -- he's alright, usually -- and then two friends of his live there too, Marchio and...Huo." Del admitted that she was a bird person, and thought the little feathered morons were cute. But that thing that lived in the library...gave her the creeps. Marchio was annoying, but harmless, but Huo was another monster in a whole different category, and that wasn't an encounter she was entirely looking forward to.
But Azura had asked for the library, and it would be stupid to deny her seeing her...enemies...? That didn't sound quite correct, and she didn't know exactly what the Boiling Isles had going on with that, and she didn't touch it. But Azura and Elvira would probably be curious to see them, at least.
Still walking, she addressed the bird she actually cared about. "Yeah, we've had familiars since we were kids -- we don't know how they got here, just that they showed up, and they tend to be smarter than the average animal here." She explained briefly, before adding, "Fenemaso's the only one I can talk to, and who can talk to others. He's a magpie, so he can just sort of...do that. He just picks up on words around him." Which could be a blessing and a curse.
Del hadn't forgotten the time that Richard had broken his toe in their house, and Fenemaso had adopted the habit of flying silently up behind someone, then screeching a tirade of cuss words because he thought it'd be hilarious. Which, it was. Until he'd done it to her.
"We could probably ask him when we get there," Was her response to Mori's musings on Fausto and Rossignol. It was easier to just ask him instead of getting the transfers hyped up that they might have some place to live. "What was your plan on living accommodations, anyway, coming here?" This question was, again, addressed to Billy, as Del tried to break the maddening judgmental silence coming from the ~High Princess of Auradon~. Her opinion was kind of the intimidating one here, and it'd help if she wasn't so infuriatingly quiet.
Instead, because Fate, like her bird, liked to laugh at her, Elvira answered:
"We didn't have a single plan for that.~ We were kinda planning on winging it from the start."
