Lolo sat down as she heard Nettlesting's answer. The she-cat sighed after the question, with a bunch of memories crossing her mind, the kittypet said: "They are aggresive, gross and look for food in the most nastier places... But, I had to be one of them, and I know, we do this to survive." “I’m sorry you had to go through that.” Nettlesting admitted lightly, though he looked at Lolo with a look of wonder. “You must be pretty brave though, to live in those kinds of places in Twolegplace.”

Whitesun felt relief flow through him when both Emberpaw and Jadefeather returned, but tended up at his mate’s report. He bounded over to her, “Tell me what happened.” He prompted her, looking her over in worry. He was glad to see they were both unharmed, but he needed to know what happened to Spiritstar.
Hawkpaw’s legs trembled when she saw her sister was safe and watched as she went into the medicine den. She looked over at Whitesun and Jadefeather before moving towards the den her Emberpaw had disappeared into, “E-Emberpaw?” She mewed quietly, peering inside.

Jadefeather quickly pressed close to Whitesun, a shaky breath escaping her before she steeled herself and looked at the deputy. "Emberpaw was hanging from Jagged Drop, we... we all rushed over, and Spiritstar began to scale down the ledges. She pulled Emberpaw up, and I was able to grab her and get her to the top with the other members of the patrol, but then the ledge crumbled apart, and-" She cut off, swallowing harshly at the memory. "Spiritstar fell from the top ledge onto a lower one. She couldn't have lived from that fall, she certainly lost a life. I brought Warblerpaw and Emberpaw back to camp before they could go and fetch her, I just... needed to get them away from the sight of her." She murmured softly, eyes closing slowly. Emberpaw lifted her head a bit, but quickly flattened her ears with guilt as she saw Hawkpaw. As much as she always loved to be with her sister, she felt a sick curl in her belly. She turned away, facing the wall of the medicine den as she curled into herself. "I should have listened to you, Hawkpaw. And now I... it's all my fault." She choked.

Lolo told the rest of the story to Nettlesting. He didn't need to give her sorry, some cats have more dangerous routines.

You're... well, you're someone new, and that's pretty cool."

Whitesun pressed against Jadefeather, licking the top of her head, “It’s alright. You did what you could, Jadefeather. Spiritstar will be alright, I’m sure they’ll be back soon..” He murmured to her.
Hawkpaw slipped inside the medicine den and laid next to her sister, “But it isn’t all your fault, Emberpaw. We both came up with the idea to climb Jagged Drop together.” She pointed out gently, looking at Emberpaw.

They know better, we taught them better..." Jadefeather sighed softly, her eyes searching for Whitesun's as she admitted with a saddened voice. "I miss Obsidianflower so much. She was always so good at making sure we all stayed safe. She used to watch you and walk on your side closest to cliffs so you'd never get close to the edge because she was so sure one day you'd trip over your paws. Look at you now, continuing her work as deputy." She looked at Whitesun with a deep sense of love, before her ears fell and she drooped again. "She blames herself, Emberpaw. She thinks it was her fault, that the ledges fell." Emberpaw flinched for a moment, but did not push Hawkpaw away. Rather, she looked desperately at her sister and shook her head. "Hawkpaw, Spiritstar died because of me. If I hadn't climbed so high, I wouldn't have been stuck, and she wouldn't have had to fall saving me. You were the smart one, and you got help, you're a hero! But I..." She looked away tightly, staring at the wall again. "I killed Spiritstar. And now Warblerpaw hates me, and I-... How will I ever be a Warrior?" She sniffed.

"Well, that's similar to Clan life. There are other Clans that have their own territories, and fights can happen if cats start crossing borders." Nettlesting admitted. "Honestly, you're lucky Dreamlily and Buzzardfall found you, and not a cat like Redspring or Poppyclaw. They would have probably chased you out, injured or not." He sighed, before he flicked his tail. "Do you live by yourself, or do you have friends out there?"

"I live with my twoleg and a other cat now, Jumbo, he is way older than me. In my eyes, he is like a brother." Lolo tried to forget her promise, making a silly face and quickly coming to normal. She continued, trying to forget what happened: "When my owner leaves her house, I usually see the other cats, talk a bit, sunbathe, walk and you and the clan cats must do these things too.."

Bumblepaw felt a bit of air rush out of her as Wingpaw kicked at her blue-gray pelt with his hind legs, pushing her off of him. She attempted to roll smoothly back onto her paws as she fell, but brute strength rather than dexterity had always been her strong suit, so her roll came off a little clumsy. In truth, it had been a moment since she and Blackfire had been out battle training, so she appreciated the chance to practice some moves on her clanmate, even though the battle was lighter than a true training session. She also appreciated the chance to focus on something other than the bad news they had just gotten. Bumblepaw was never one to let emotions sit too deeply, and sparring was preferable distraction. Now back on her feet, gave a challenging yowl and charge towards Wingpaw again, pretending to go left with the intention to dart right at the last minute, hopefully taking a paw out from Wingpaw in the process.

"Jumbo! That's a funny name. Is he a big cat?" Nettlesting laughed, hiding his muzzle behind his paw before he looked back at Lolo. "You sound pretty fond of your owner, and this Jumbo cat... I don't think you'd gain much by leaving it." He admitted, looking around quickly before he gave a soft sigh and admitted. "There's alot of rules to Clan life, and sometimes those rules are heatbreaking, even for those of us born here. If anything, well... your life sounds more free than mine."
Wingpaw leaped onto his paws, lifting onto his toes as he tried to dodge Bumblepaw's strike. She had feinted fast enough for him to stumble a bit, and he felt her paw hook his leg. He stiffened his leg as quickly as he could, curling it to hook around her paw. If he was going to be pulled down, he would take her right down with him!

"Well, he's fluffy, maybe his fur gives a vision of bigness." Lolo afirmed, looking to Nettlesting. As she heard the rest of the warrior speech she answered: "Well, sometimes I feel trapped.. I only leave my house when my onwer goes working, work is like hunting or fighting for clan cats. But today I took courage and escaped in a small burrow in the house, I mean, the twoleg nest."

Wingpaw's retaliation was not expected by Bumblepaw, who, in all honesty, tended to overestimate her own skill. And Wingpaw did have more training, which would be obvious to any cat that wasn't as stubborn as Bumblepaw. She crashed to the ground alongside him, tangled momentarily in paws and fluff, before quickly extricating herself and shaking the dust off of her pelt. "That's not fair, the sun got in my eyes!" She huffed in embarrassment, running a paw over her face as if to fight off the 'sudden light'. Any other cat might have admitted it to be a draw, since both cats had hit the ground, but Bumblepaw would sooner lie over the circumstances of the fight than admit he had surprised her with the move. She licked more dirt off her pelt and continued grumpily, "Besides, you're getting dirt everywhere. This place is going to be a mess when Spiritstar gets back."

Skyflight looked at Quickwing and Firefang, "We need to get her to camp to be seen by Lavendersky and Spiderbite as soon as possible. Quickwing you need to see them too after jumping in the water like that. Firefang and I can carry Spiritstar." Her voice was thick with worry for not only the leader but Quickwing as well. She grabbed a hold of Spiritstar's scruff and began the long trek back to camp along the bottom of the cliff.

"And then you ended up here." Nettlesting nodded slowly, understanding Lolo's words with a small chuckle. "I bet you didn't expect all this. Sorry that your adventure got cut short." He apologized, though he did glance a few times towards the camp entrance, hoping to see Spiritstar return soon, alive and walking.
"Sun in your eyes, huh?" Wingpaw smirked, though he gave a few breaths of effort as he rolled himself back up onto his haunches. "You're the one who challenged me first! So if anything, the dirt's all your fault." He teased, before he offered with an innocent little look. "Want me to help you get all that dust out of your fur?"

Lolo told Nettlesting, laying down on a rock with sun bathing their surface: "I should rest now, because I had a great adventure today" Yawning, the kittypet closed her eyes. She didn't slept at this time but, she hoped to.

Bumblepaw felt another sharp wave of embarrassment, though this time she wasn't sure if it was moreso from the tom calling her out or his offer to help with the dust. She gave a final shake of her head to ruffle the dust from her. "I can manage perfectly fine on my own, thanks." She spat out, though to those who knew her personality, the words didn't have real malice to them. She had enjoyed her scuffle with Wingpaw, and his ability to take her gruff personality made him somewhat easier to talk to than some of the other apprentices. She just hated admitting any sort of defeat.

Nettlesting watched Lolo for a moment, almost wanting to wake her back up just so he could hear more about her life. Though, he didn't want to bother her either, after her injury and walking right into the all this chaos in the camp. He sat at her side, anxiously waiting for the patrol to return intstead.
"Of course you can." Wingpaw mused innocently, before he grinned cheekily and stood on his paws. He roughly shook his pelt free of some of the dirt, before he teased. "Don't worry, you still look prim and proper even with a pawful of dust in your pelt... You know, that was a nice thing you did for Emberpaw, even if she didn't say as much. But, I saw it. You're a softie deep down, huh?" He mewed, making sure his voice was quiet enough that only she could hear him.

"Shut up!" Bumblepaw hissed out suddenly, much louder than Wingpaw's whisper. She felt intensely uncomfortable by her fellow apprentice's true assessment of her. Bumblepaw above all wanted to be seen as strong, capable, and independent. She figured out long ago to be taken seriously in such a cut-throat world you had to be tough and even cold towards others. Aggression gets you what you want, and protects you from getting hurt. Yet there was a part of her that was the exact opposite, a part that was soft, that enjoyed a bit of coddling, that wanted deeper companionship... the part that Wingpaw was referencing now. The fact that he had seen that vulnerable side and was calling it out, though, almost felt like a claw to the side. That part of her was hidden and personal, and she was terrified of losing the image she believed she had made for herself. "Just... shut up about it already! All I did was offer her a stupid piece of prey, so she couldn't cause more problems, that's it! But hedgehogs will fly before I ever do that again for any of you flea-brains!" She jumped up and began storming away, heading towards the apprentice den, tail lashing. Stupid tom thinking he knows me. He doesn't know me at all! I'm not a softie, especially not with him or that mousebrain Emberpaw.

Wingpaw called after her, giving a heavy sigh and groan as he realized that she was too stubborn to admit that she did it out of the goodness of her heart. He tried to follow after her, puffing his cheeks. "I already told you, I'm not gonna think any less of you for something like that. Who would? Come on! Don't be mad at me! You've still got dust on your pelt!" He tried. Basilpaw watched his brother trail after Bumblepaw with a light sigh. Why did he invest so much time in such a sour cat? Whether or not Bumblepaw meant her words, they were often far too cruel and snobbish for him to respect her much. The gentler tom only hoped that Wingpaw wasn't entertaining her too much before she lashed out at him and actually meant it.

Bumblepaw ignored Wingpaw's words, though she did give another shake of her fur, hoping to dislodge any dust still residing there. She continued to storm off towards the apprentice den. Him calling her a softie, no matter how true it may be, had felt almost like an insult to the too-prideful cat, and she stubbornly refused to turn around, determined to show that she didn't need his friendship. She found her nest and plopped down, angrily flicking a pebble that had ended up in it out with a forceful swipe of her paw that sent it flying away. If she were to truly think about it, she would realize that her anger was ill-founded, but she was not well-versed in analyzing her own anger. Instead, she stewed, making up reasons why every other apprentice was in the wrong.
(lol Bumblepaw is a mess, idk xD
I think I may make another cat soon to RP while Bumblepaw pouts lol )

Skyflight walked carefully as they navigated the rocky terrain, trying to make sure they didn't carry Spiritstar over too sharp stones. Skyflight nodded to Firefang, worry flickering in her eyes, she was unable to reply with Spiritstar’s scruff in her mouth. Skyflight took a deep breath before they dragged the leader through the camp entrance, she couldn’t bring herself to look at their clanmates as they pulled her over to the medicine cat den.
Sparrowstrike’s ears flew back as Firefang and Skyflight carried Spiritstar into camp. “No! Spiritstar!”
Springpaw and Twigpaw watched with wide eyes, too shocked to speak.
Briarpatch hid her face in Flarestorm’s shoulder, a cry muffled in his fur.
Specklepaw was silent, tail flicking anxiously.

"Spiritstar!" Dreamlily gasped, eyes wide as she watched Skyflight and Firefang carry their leader into camp. She couldn't be dead, could she? She looked so limp!
Flarestorm stared with disbelief, though he quickly pressed himself close to Briarpatch to calm her, wrapping his tail around her back and pressing his muzzle to her ear. "She's just tired. I bet she's already awake, or she'll be right up in a few moments."
Between Skyflight and Firefang, Spiritstar's body was pulled limply into camp. She was breathing though, eyes fluttering awake the closer they got to camp. The silver she-cat moved, trying to steady her paws enough that her Warriors didn't need to strain to carry her. As much as she didn't want her clanmates to see her state, new life was renewed in her when she caught sight of Warblerpaw and Slateheart. She coughed a bit, getting the last bit of water out of her throat before she rasped. "I am breathing, I can tell some of you thought I wasn't."
"Oh, thank Starclan!" Cobrafang sighed in relief, quickly rushing over to look at Spiritstar and the rest of the patrol.
Emberpaw tucked herself up tighter in the medicine den, suddenly terrified that Spiritstar would have to come in here and be checked by Lavendersky and Spiderbite. Surely she would be furious with her, it was Emberpaw's fault that she had died, that she was in such a state. Emberpaw wanted to sink into the ground, not able to tell what kind of punishment would be fitting for what she did.

Hearing a commotion, Bumblepaw stuck her head outside the apprentice den and watched as their leader was brought in. The sight of her lifeless body shocked Bumblepaw more than she was expecting, and she felt her blue-gray fur raise in dismay at the scene. Finally, she heard Spiritstar speak, and felt relief flood through her. Spiritstar was the only leader Bumblepaw ever knew. She was a staple in the young apprentices' life, and she couldn't imagine what would happen if Spiritstar was lost forever. She continued sitting at the edge of the den in the shadows, watching the cats from her private location.

The fur along Warblerpaw's spine lifted as his mother was brought into camp, their Clanmates's anxious gazes on their leader. He felt as if a thousand eyes were raking over his pelt, scrutinizing him for any reaction after how he'd behaved earlier. He fought to keep a calm expression, relief washing over him like a cool breeze as Spiritstar's voice carried through the camp, reassuring and strong, even if it was raspy. He rose to his paws, green eyes flicking to meet Slateheart's as he and his father watched her be dragged to the medicine den.
