Willownose wasn't sure what to say about that. She didn't know of any cat in the Clan that had eyes on Redspring, nor did she know of anyone the she-cat herself was interested in. She did know that it would be easy for her to hurt her feelings considering everything they had just talked about. "I can see you fighting side-by-side with someone in battle. Anyone would be lucky to have you... if they can get through me first." she joked. Suddenly Ashfeather's scent hit her, and she glanced around, wondering where he was. Did he hear their conversation? ' What if it's you that I want to fight by my side, every day?' Redspring wanted the blurt the words out, but once again held herself back as she offered a gruff chuckle instead. "Well then, I'll never have a mate. They'll never be able to beat you in combat." She teased, before she followed Willownose's sudden looks with her own eyes. |

Ashfeather blinked as the faint scent of Willownose and Redspring wafted through the air towards him. He got to his paws, scanning the trees for them. Were they close?

"Speak of the Dark Forest..." Redspring mewed to herself, before she perked her ears up and finally caught sight of Ashfeather at the top of a ledge. "Oi! Ashfeather! Down here!" Redspring called up boldly, her heart beating quickly as she took sight of his pretty pelt. Starclan, it was even worse now that she realized what her feelings were. How could she do this? She snorted, ignoring the ache in her heart. "Fancy seeing you! Do any training today?"

Willownose scrambled to follow her two friends, heart beginning to pound faster now that she knew there was no backing down. "Hello, Ashfeather," she greeted, ducking her head. She had to look casual until she could get him by himself.

Ashfeather couldn't hold back the rumbling purr as he spotted to two of them, he licked his chest in embarrassment. "Oh! Hi." he greeted warmly, "No, I gave Weaselpaw the day off of training, he's tending to the elder's and learning a bit from Lavendersky today." The tom carefully picked his way down from the ledge until he was standing in front of them.

The tom shook his head softly at her remark before perking up as she spotted the bird, his eyes lighting up hopefully. "I see it. Now we just have to catch it without spooking it away. Okay, I'll climb up the tree beside that one and sneak over onto the other one slowly. Once I'm over there I'll sneak up behind the thrush and then knock it out of the tree right down to where you'll be waiting. Sound good?" He looked over at her to make sure she understood the plan.

If you're grumpy and mean then others will treat you like that as well. Just as if you only see the world as sad then you'll always be sad. She felt her stomach flutter as she looked quickly at Willownose, before looking back at Ashfeather. Would Willownose admit to him how she felt? She didn't know if she could watch if it happened.

(I haven't the slightest idea what's going on and I'll admit, I forgot Flyingkit was an apprentice now. I can do whatever. I don't think any of characters are really doing anything: Flyingpaw, Silvercloud, Splashecho, and Spiderpaw.)

Emberpaw puffed her cheeks as she rolled up a fresh ball of moss. It was way more fun when she could play mossball. Now that she had apprentice duties, collecting moss was such a chore. The fiery she-cat sighed heavily as she tried to organize the clean moss from the dirty moss. "I bet the other apprentices are out learning the strongest moves in the clan!" She muttered to herself.

Hawkpaw and the others better be doing this tomorrow, because I totally am going to do real training!” She swore. |

Flyingpaw chuckled. "I think I have nothing to worry about since you can't even pay attention to where you're putting your paws in here." She gave Emberpaw a playful nudge. "You always have to be aware of where you put your paws when climbing! My father told me that!"

Ashfeather tensed at Willownose's intense tone, he nodded slowly anyhow though and tried to flatten his pelt, "Oh um sure Willownose. I-is it bad?" he fretted, taking a tentative step towards her.

Redspring merely nodded her head in understanding, her eyes flashing towards Ashfeather for a moment as she pushed away the ache in her heart. “I’ve got it. I’ll go find Flyingpaw. She’s probably aching to get out more anyway. Take all the time you need.” She snickered, turning quickly so they wouldn’t be able to see her face fall.

Ashfeather watched Redspring go, confusion and anxiety spiraling through his brain, blinking back at Willownose he took a deep breath, "Anywhere specific you would like to go?" he asked, voice high with tension. What could Willownose want to talk to him about without Redspring?

Willownose thought for a moment, trying to think of a place that would be quiet. "Maybe the Skystar Tree?" she suggested. If Ashfeather wasn't training right now, it would be likely that there wouldn't be anyone else around the area either.

Firepaw finished his climb to the top and looked down as Buzzardfall gave him instructions and did as he was told, getting ready to launch himself at her. He felt a slight trill of nervousness surge through him but he quickly pushed it down, “Alright, I’m ready.” He said, “I can just go anytime right?” "Yep! I'm going to keep my back to you, and don't be afraid to leap on me. I promise you, I'm much broader in the shoulders than my mentor was." Buzzardfall encouraged, squaring her shoulders and bracing her stance to be able to support Firepaw's weight when it came. Firepaw gave a nod and crouched down, bunching his muscles as he got ready to pounce on to his mentor. Taking a deep breath, the apprentice launched himself into the air and dropped down on Buzzardfall’s back. He had slightly misjudged the jump tho, so it wasn’t perfect and he tumbled off with a grunt. |
