"Yep! I'm going to keep my back to you, and don't be afraid to leap on me. I promise you, I'm much broader in the shoulders than my mentor was." Buzzardfall encouraged, squaring her shoulders and bracing her stance to be able to support Firepaw's weight when it came. Firepaw gave a nod and crouched down, bunching his muscles as he got ready to pounce on to his mentor. Taking a deep breath, the apprentice launched himself into the air and dropped down on Buzzardfall’s back. He had slightly misjudged the jump tho, so it wasn’t perfect and he tumbled off with a grunt. Buzzardfall was quick to move to Firepaw’s side to assist him. “That was a good try. You certainly have the strength you need. It’s just the balance that seems to be getting you. Are you alright?” She asked.

Ashfeather took a deep breath and nodded as they started to make their way through the territory, "Alright, sounds like a good place, as long as there are not rouge apprentices training there right now." he mewed, attempting to make a joke and lighten the air.

"It won't be our problem if that happens." Willownose laughed lightly, also wanting to ensure it wasn't a serious situation. "We can tell them to go back to camp or something." she said, following behind Ashfeather.

Ashfeather flicked his tail in acknowledgement, walking the rest of the way there in comfortable silence. The training area was empty of apprentices, and several birds took flight out of the nearby trees as Ashfeather settled down at the base of the Skystar tree. "So.. Willownose, um what did you want to talk to me about?"

Firepaw huffed as he scrambled to his paws and shook his fur out, “I’m fine.” He grumbled, looking back up the cliff. “Can I try again?” He asked, looking back at Buzzardfall.

We’ll keep trying until you get it down!” Buzzardfall brightened as she realized that Firepaw wasn’t injured. She settled back into her spot before she instructed. “Spread your paws out a bit more when you jump, and jump a bit more higher than jumping farther this time.”

Firepaw nodded and quickly climbed up the cliff again, a determined look on his face. He would get it right this time, not wanting to embarrass himself again. Taking a deep breath, the apprentice turned around and gathered his strength in his haunches and placing his paws like Buzzardfall had told him to. With a grunt, he launched himself into the air and landed on top of Buzzardfall perfectly.

Willownose, um what did you want to talk to me about?" Sorry for taking a while to reply to this Willow, wasn't sure how I wanted to write it xD) Willownose knew once they arrived that she had picked a good place. The Skystar Tree was completely quiet, and she couldn't scent anyone there - apprentice or otherwise. She took a deep breath as Ashfeather settled down. "Well... I was thinking about things lately... and you know how we've been spending a lot of time together?" she asked, feeling her heartrate spike like she was in the middle of a battle. "I think..." she trailed off. She didn't think she could handle a slow confession. "No. I'm pretty sure I have feelings for you!" she let out. "So I'm not sure what to do, but I didn't want to sit on it forever just in case something bad like another fire happens." StarClan, she probably looked ridiculous right now. She looked away, afraid to see Ashfeather's reaction.

it's okay XD this is a big moment )
Ashfeather stared at her for a moment, processing her words. She actuallyliked him? He couldn't help the small purr that escaped him as he opened and closed his mouth several times. His tongue felt foreign as he tried to think of how to relay his feelings back to her. "I- I feel the same way Willownose." he mewed after another long moment. Joy but also a bit of confusion swirled through him. Of course he felt that way about Willownose, he had known that for quite some time, but as he thought about it more, a pang of longing towards Redspring rushed through him as well. He flicked his ears, pushing those feelings down as he smiled at Willownose, "I was worried you didn't like me." he admitted with a laugh.

Willownose looked back at Ashfeather as she heard him speak, hardly able to believe what he was saying after how awkward she had acted and spoke. "Really?" She stared at him for another moment before speaking again. "I mean... I wasn't sure. I was afraid that I would wait too long and one of us would get hurt or killed." She flicked her ear, starting to regain her composure now that the worst was over with. "I don't know anything about feelings and all that junk. But you probably know that by now."

Ashfeather nodded earnestly as Willownose looked so unsure. "Now that the fire is over and Greenleaf is here. I think we are safe Willownose, at least I hope so. I don't think I'm very good at feelings either, so I guess we could learn together?" he replied with a smile, before scooting a little bit closer to her so that their pelts brushed.

"You never know when something bad could happen again." Willownose sighed. She wouldn't be surprised if ThunderClan randomly decided to remark the borders just to stir up trouble. She almost flinched away at the contact, realizing that things have changed. "That sounds great. Two warriors figuring it out long after most... I guess that's what'll set us apart." she said, twitching her whiskers in humor.

Ashfeather snickered, "You're telling me, my sister's kits are some of the oldest apprentices and here we are just figuring it out now. That's okay though, it's never too late." he mewed with another purr. Thinking back, he had almost exclusively been hanging out with Redspring and Willownose lately. He couldn't even remember the last time he talked to Shadowmask. Flicking his ear a bit awkwardly he turned back to face Willownose, "This won't change anything, but did you tell Redspring? I don't want her to be awkward around us."

"About that... she knows, but she doesn't know how it went yet." Willownose admitted. It was thanks to her that she had even admitted her feelings. "I know it might be awkward, but I hope we can still work together." Redspring seemed certain that she would support the two regardless, but Willownose wouldn't know how she truly felt unless she was told directly.

Stormpaw sat with her back to the Apprentices' den and looked out over the camp, simply watching as cats passed by below her, chatting amongst themselves. She was supposed to be starting her training soon, after becoming an apprentice just a few days before, and she smiled just a little to herself at the thought of becoming a warrior sometime in the future.
She thought back on her life before the clan. She honestly couldn't remember much of it now- just flashes of other kits' fur, running around on a twoleg's porch, and scrambling around a shiny bowl to fight over the dry, brown pellets of "food". The four other kits were usually a little too hyper for her, so she preferred to sit on the ledge of the porch (once she could climb up to it) and watch them play, alongside her mother. She was never one to playfight, especially with her siblings. They were all bigger than her, so it wasn't so much fighting as it was her being kicked around by two or three other cats at a time. So all she really remembered about her siblings was a swirl of brown and orange pelts. She remembered she felt like an outsider most of the time. She didn't remember her mother. She remembered that the twoleg house was next to a small thunderpath, and that the day before she crept off into the woods alone, one of her siblings were struck and killed by one of the monsters there. She remembered feeling not sad for herself, but sad for her other siblings since they seemed to be so close to one another, and sad for her mother. After staying awake most of that night, before the sun peaked the horizon, she snuck away, nuzzling into her mother one last time on her way into the tree line.
After walking for most of the day, she had rested and then continued on whenever the sun was starting to set. She had reached a rocky place at moon high, and that is where she had met the forest cats. And suddenly, her life as a kittypet felt very far away.
She smiled to herself for a second time, looking down at the camp, but this time there was more adoration in her eyes. This was where she truly felt at home finally, and she couldn't wait to serve the clan with all of her heart.

Whitesun, our resident snowball deputy! I can hopefully rp the next few days, and Ice pops in pretty often, so she’ll be able to rp Whitesun for ya! Welcome to Skyclan!)

“Stormpaw?” Emberpaw pushed her way out of the apprentice’s den, yawning loudly before she plopped herself down behind her clanmate. “What are you doing out here? You watching someone? Ooh, is there gossip? I want to know!” She pleaded excitedly at the prospect of something interesting going on below in camp.

Ashfeather let out a sigh of relief, “Well I’m sure we’ll work it out right? Nothing has come between the three of us before.” Feeling more confident, he leaned over to press his muzzle to hers. “I’m so glad you decided to share your feelings. I’m sorry I didn’t do so sooner.”

"That's right. I don't plan on that changing anytime soon." Willownose nodded with certainty. She let out a sigh. "You don't need to apologize. I think it was both on us for being too hesitant. And we don't seem like the kind of cats to be hesitant." she joked.

I had been checking the forums every day twice a day and no one was answering and it made me sad and I stopped checking for a while lol)

Everyone’s pretty busy these days, sadly) “Ah yeah. I almost forgot that you weren’t born here…well, if it makes you feel any better, my mom wasn’t born in Skyclan either. She probably went through the same thing you’re going through! I think that birthplace shouldn’t matter as long as you’re loyal to Skyclan!” Emberpaw looked curiously at her clanmate. “What was it like before you came here?”

Ashfeather laughed, "I suppose not, especially with Redspark around. She's always on the move." The tom licked his chest in embarrassment of when his mind flicked to his sister. Shadowmask is going to tease him so hard about waiting so long.

Stormpaw smiled fondly at Emberpaw’s curiosity. “It was weird. I don’t remember much of it. I just remember that me and my siblings didn’t get along like the siblings and other kits get along here. They got along just fine, but I didn’t quite fit in. I did love them, but it felt like I didn’t ever get to know them. I miss them sometimes. Like I wish they would’ve come with me. But I don’t think they’d like it much here.” She felt a little breeze hit her fur as she spoke, the smells of the forest wafting into her nose.
”Also, it was too easy there. We ate the nastiest food- every day at the same time- and had to stay in the smallest little area. None of my brothers or sisters ever wanted to go past the boundaries the two-legs put out. They said it was dangerous to go and explore. My mother didn’t even like for me to go off of the two-legs porch!” Stormpaw ruffled her fur up against the wind in frustration when she remembered just how boring her life had been before the clan.

"Blugh. You guys didn't have fresh prey? That sounds disgusting! I hope your siblings aren't gagging on twoleg slop everyday still. You made the right choice. Clan life is way better!" Emberpaw decided, looking proudly around Skyclan's camp. "Besides, you're super lucky! You get to be mentored by my father! The clan deputy! That means you have to be pretty special." She teased.

Stormpaw raises her chin up and closes her eyes, trying her best not to seem too flattered.
“I don’t think it’s anything special about me. But I am very thankful I get such a great mentor! I can’t wait to be a warrior for SkyClan. I love it here.” She looked at the camp fondly once more before continuing. “And no, no fresh prey. I tried a bite of dead mouse one time that my mother’s mother had caught for her kits who were just a little older than us, but it had been out in the sun for a day. It was the nastiest thing I’ve ever had in my mouth.” She visibly gagged just thinking about. “I wanted to catch my own so bad but I never have, at least not yet! But I will soon!” She says excitedly, thinking about how her training would be beginning someday soon.
