I'll try to find the truth, I swear to Starclan, Spiritstar. Acepaw thought to himself, briefly looking up at the sky. Was Spiritstar among the warriors who lived there, now? He hoped so- she deserved a star-speckled pelt. "We'll always honor her," he mewed. "Spiritstar has finally gotten the rest she deserved. Its difficult, yes, but she led a brave life, and deserves peace. I'm sure she's found it," his mew drifted away. He prayed to Starclan she had. "Wise words, Acepaw." Wildstorm nodded with a calm smile, mewing honestly. "You were born to be a Skyclan cat. I just know it." He admitted. He beamed, despite the ache at his chest, due to their many losses, recently. There is always a light in the dark. He thought. "You are, too, Wildstorm," he mewed. "And you're doing great,"

Spiderbite ran toward the camp entrance, his ears back in his hurriedness.
(Someone feel free to intercept him, otherwise he'll run straight to ShadowClan XD)

Skyflight padded to Spiritstar and Silvercloud's bodies beside Sunfury. She had already paid her respects to Silvercloud, so she moved to Spiritstar touching her nose to the leader's shoulder. "Thank you for leading us well for all these moons."

Frigidshard's sharp eyes caught Spiderbite's familiar pelt dashing for the camp entrance, intrigued where the medicine cat could be going at such speed he slid in front of him with a canary eating smile. "Where you goin' Mr. medicine cat?"

"Shadowclan! Now that sounds like fun. And why must you scurry there so fast Spiderbite?" Frigidshard asked with a tilt of his head. "Surely you should take a warrior escort with you? A handsome one if you'd like?"

A handsome one if you'd like?" Spiderbite lashed his tail in annoyance. "I don't have time for your vanity, Frigidshard. Lavendersky needs to see Cliffheart now. I'm going. You can come with, but don't you dare slow me down!"

Frigidshard stepped out of the way, motioning his tail for the entrance. "Alrightttt, just trying to have some fun Spiderbite! Let's go before you get your tail in a twist. To Shadowclan!" he called, snickering to himself as he exited the camp.

Flyingpaw grinned. She liked the sound of climbing with her father. "I remember that," she chuckled. "I was so proud of how high I got, and I knew you were there to catch me when I jumped." She nudged her father. "I love you, dad." Splashecho shook her head. "That isn't good. Springpaw shouldn't be distracted by toms or trivial Clan interactions. Getting stronger to keep each other safe is all that matters. I'll talk to Flyingpaw about her climbing too. I swear her head is the clouds more than its on her body." "I love you too Flyingpaw, more and more everyday." Sparrowstrike said tenderly. "I hope I never give you a reason to forget that." Twigpaw looked toward Flyingpaw and Sparrowstrike, sighing as he saw his father holding her like a kit. "He coddles them too. They'll never learn about the dangers of real life if he tries to protect them from everything. Don't you think that he's too soft on them?" Spiderbite huffed when Frigidshard finally got out of his way. He hurried out the camp entrance. Splashecho spotted Spiderbite rush out of camp. I wonder what that was about. She didn't dwell on it, though, as Twigpaw pulled her attention to Sparrowstrike and Flyingpaw. As sweet as it was to see Sparrowstrike comforting Flyingpaw, deep down, she feared Twigpaw was right. Flyingpaw needed to tough up if she was going to survive. Survive fires, floods, and ambushing cats and clans. She needed to be tough to protect herself from traitors right within the Clan. "I don't want Sparrowstrike to get suspicious of what we're doing. I know he won't understand. I'll speak with your sisters when your father isn't around. In the meantime," she sighed. "Heed Waspstrike's words over your fathers." Flyingpaw smiled at Sparrowstrike and leaned into him. She remembered being able to do this to her mother, hide in her fur, but these days all Splashecho wanted her and her siblings to do is train and get stronger. She didn't want to be strong, she wanted to be the best climber. At least her father didn't change like Splashecho did. She hoped he never changed. Flyingpaw didn't say anything and just enjoyed being able to lean into her father's fur.

(Oh my starclan I don't check the forums for a half a day- THE ONE DAY IM NOT ON, and it spirls into chaos lol, but then again- I expected this to happen, not as fast as it did however lol.)
Viperpaw nodded, "Yes, lets follow them back, what the heck is happening?!" she raced through the trees with Sunnypaw and reached camp, there were multiple yelling matches and SpiritStar's- clearly dead- body was in the midst. Viperpaw survayed the camp and with a jolt of fear noticed the cat who had brought her here- leaving-? NeetleString if she was correct, she pushed Sunnypaw aside and watched the chaos unfold, the last thing these cats needed was two apprentice striding in when they weren't even supposed to be out, "Stay here untill the chaos dies down," she muttered to Sunnypaw. After what felt like moons of arguing the clan fell into silence, each cat paying their respects to SpiritStar and another dead cat Viperpaw didn't reconize, "C'mon, we can't miss this chance," she murmured to Sunnypaw and swiftly went ran into the camp, praying no one noticed. She made it look as if Sunnypaw and herself had just left the apprentice den and pretended to look around as if she were confused.

Clovertail could tell that Cloudberry wasn't feeling the best right now, but she didn't comment on it. All of the sudden, cats were excaliming out loud, comments hushed and outspocken. "Spirtstar's dead!" Clovertail jumped to her paws, and she finally saw her. The body of her leader - the only leader she had ever known. "Spirtstar!" Clovertail has mad now, her eyes transfixed on the two cats that had lost their lives this evening. It all happened to fast, and Clovertail hadn't been paying much attention, but now Nettlesting was leaving! Cloudberry was talking about that earlier. Now she seemed to deflate, her tail lowering and her ears flatting on her head. I wonder how Cloudberry must feel. She looked at Cloudberry, but couldn't quite read the expression on the older molly's face. Cloudberry sat devastated where she had faced her son, the realization that he was gone and their last words had been so cold making her eyes well up. She stumbled into a seated position again, before her shoulders slumped and a shaky breath escaped her. She could feel Clovertail’s eyes on her, but she didn’t know if she could speak then. Clovertail had a brief moment of hesitation but she knew she should stay with Cloudberry. It seemed heartless to leave her now, in this state. "I'm sorry" She said, unsure of how to go on. When cats wanted reassuring words their first thought was definitely not her, maybe she was like- last? Maybe higher than that, but the point was she really didn't know what to day. Maybe he'll be happier out there? No that's harsh. By now it seemed too long of a silence to continue, but she tried anyways. "I know you must have mixed feelings right now, and you might want to be alone, but if you want, I'll stay with you... or emotional support?" Not great. Maybe she shouldn't have said anything, after all.

If he noticed them, he didn't seem to care, and he kept pressing onwards until she could no longer see him. She breathed out a sigh, before she carefully tip-toed back into camp, her heart racing at the sight of the vigils. She darted in after Viperpaw and nearly collapsed when she realized that they had made it back in without being noticed.

Frigidshard kept pace beside Spiderbite, humming to himself as they walked. "So, what's the urgent meeting about? Didn't Cliffheart used to be a Skyclan cat?" he asked, the young tom not remembering if he had gotten the history right.
Sparrowstrike settled down slowly, pulling Flyingpaw with him until they were both lying next to each other, his tail still curled protectively around her. He watched as the patrols started to head out, and cats began to pay their respects. "We should join the vigil soon, but we can stay here for a little bit longer."
"Waspstrike has done everything for me so far, I will listen to whatever he tells me." Twigpaw murmured with a curt nod. He used to look at Sparrowstrike with awe, hoping to be like his father one day. Now, he realized how soft his father actually is. He needed to be strong and fierce like Waspstrike was, no mercy given toward their enemies.

She mourned, inwardly hating herself for being unable to reveal her greatest secret. She sniffed. "You can stay, if you like. The company helps."

Spiderbite gave Frigidshard a side eye of annoyance as he ran along the floor of the territory. He didn't want to talk about it, but he supposed the Clan would find out sooner or later. "Cliffheart is Lavendersky's adopted brother. He was run out of SkyClan thanks to Robinstar. Lavendersky wants to see him one last time."
Flyingpaw finally peeked out of her father's fur to look over at Silvercloud's and Spiritstar's bodies. She really liked the two older she-cats. It was strange to think the Clan had to go on without them. "I...I think I'm ready."
Splashecho felt a little relief at Twigpaw's words. "Good. I know Waspstrike will make you a great warrior, Twigpaw. You'll be able to protect yourself from anything."

Here are some other reactions) Blackfire scowled, her tail lashing at the thought of Warblerwind betraying his mother like that. Could he really do something like this? She saw the look on her sister's face, but what if Plumwillow had a point? Maybe they misheard or didn't hear everything that had been said. Firescorch gave a low growl, his eyes still on Spiritstar's body. This must be yet another punishment from StarClan! It had to be! Spiritstar turned her back on StarClan and not even two heartbeats later, she's dead! Shadowmask watched everything going on with her ears flat against her head, the growing tension between her Clanmates starting to make her nervous. This tension and anger was just how AdderClan first started to grow, she remembered it clearly. Spotteddawn padded towards the elder's den, wanting to check on her father as well as seek some comfort from him. It was hard to believe that Spiritstar was actually gone! She had been leader since she was a young kit, and now she was gone! "Lichengaze?" She mewed, looking into the den for her father. The queen's belly was only just starting to show signs of her second litter, and she dreaded the thought of bringing them into such uncertain times. Sundapple looked at both Silvercloud and Spiritstar with grief in her eyes, mourning the losses that SkyClan had suffered today. She shook her head, not wanting to believe that Warblerwind would do such a thing to his own mother. He had always adored her! Why would he do such a thing? Seedflight wrapped her tail over her young kits, pulling them closer to her belly as she watched from the nursery entrance, "That traitor! How could Warblerwind do this?! To his own mother?!" She hissed, fur bristling in anger. Rainpaw shrank back as the Clan started yelling and arguing again, her ears flat against her head as she watched. Was Spiritstar really dead? But didn't everyone say that she had nine lives?! How could that have been her last one already? Lichengaze slowly stood from his nest. He had known what had happened, and the grief had struck him fiercely. He narrowed his eyes though, knowing exactly what kind of trickery the Dark Forest could pull to destroy faith in Starclan. He looked at his daughter, his voice rasped as he mewed. "Spiderbite's right, you know. We cannot lose faith in Starclan, not ever again. This is only the beginning. Do you understand that? Only the beginning, all over again." He paced lightly, before he sighed deeply. "Tonight I bury two of my closest friends, and the cats I came to respect more than anyone."

Frigidshard asked, his behavior dampening a little bit. "Starclan... Lavendersky's been our medicine cat forever!" "Go on then." Sparrowstrike encouraged, "I'll be right behind you. I'm sure the clan will all sleep out here tonight together. It'll be kind of fun." Twigpaw side-eyed the growing crowd, "We should join them before they get suspicious. I plan to continue my training again tonight. You don't need to worry about me Mother." he said with a rare smile.

Spiderbite couldn't look at him, but he nodded solemnly as he ran. "I don't know how long she has, but it isn't long. So we have to hurry." (Border page?)
Flyingpaw nodded to her father and got up to head over to the vigil. She tried to think of it as a fun outdoor sleepover for the Clan, but the haunting reminder that they didn't have a leader drooped her ears. Flyingpaw found a spot not too far from the leader to hold her vigil.
Splashecho nodded in agreement and stood up to join the vigil. "I'm very proud of you, Twigpaw." She licked his forehead. "Come on. Spiritstar may have been misguided, but she was still kin." She headed down the path to join the vigil.

"There is a cat in Shadowclan that claims a cat from the dark forest somehow took over his body and made him do terrible things he had no control over. Including killing one of our own clanmates, Silversting." Shadespots mewed, eyes flicking back and forth to make sure no one else was listening. "Many cats thought he was crazy and Northstar banished him. But he came back and is now a completely different cat. I don't know how but I guess he could have been telling the truth." Springpaw sighed, her shoulders drooping with defeat. "I guess you're right. It's such a far drop, Starclan would have had to have saved him if he survived." She laughed a little at his joke, but the sound was flat. "I would have followed behind too. I wish I did. I failed him Wingpaw. I failed my friend." "What? There was?!" Basilpaw perked up, eyes wide with surprise as his mother described the Shadowclan cat who had apparently said that something else had been controlling him. He blinked a bit, disheartened at her next words. "They thought he was crazy? I... I guess that makes sense, when he was the one who killed Silversting. Whitesun and Snowtalon talk about her alot. But... I didn't know that the Shadowclan cat said that." He admitted, inwardly feeling less crazy himself. If this Shadowclan cat was telling the truth, then maybe Spiritstar suffered the same thing! Wingpaw stood up abruptly, shaking his head sharply. "No. Don't say that, you hear me? If you went over, then... well, so would I! You didn't fail him. Don't say that!" He exclaimed, realizing how struck he would be had it been her that had been lost. Her words felt like a claw to the heart, and his ears fell as he looked stubbornly at her. "That's what they claim at least. He was allowed to come back from his banishment with little to no repercussions so something must have been going on." Shadespots replied. "Nothing like that had ever happened before, I don't know how they do it. Or how Goldberry managed to stop it if that's truly what happened." Springpaw shook her head slowly, "We should focus on the vigil and start mourning. We're both still here, I guess it's time to gather ourselves and move on. Warblerwind is gone, I have to accept that for the clan's sake. I'm sorry I upset you Wingpaw."

Clovertail had a brief moment of hesitation but she knew she should stay with Cloudberry. It seemed heartless to leave her now, in this state. "I'm sorry" She said, unsure of how to go on. Clovertail nodded, and settled down next to the older molly, their pelts brushing only slightly. She felt a little warmer knowing that she had said something to make another cat feel better, but she knew cold again knowing why she had had to say those words in the first place. "I'll stay" She said.
