"Y-yeah, I guess so," he mewed. "I just can't believe it happened so fast, thing after thing has happened recently to our clan," he mewed worriedly. "Hopefully this is the end of it," he let the anxiety bite at his fur for a moment, but then, shook it away as much as he could. It wouldn't be any good being anxious when the Clan was already in danger. I need to focus on being hopeful, so I can serve my clan as good as I can. It was him home, after all- he didn't want to lose this home, too, like he had that terrible night with Shadow and Briardust... He nodded to Wildstorm, and spoke more confidently, as if his worries weren't underneath the surface. "Yeah, you're right- we can do this. Skyclan is strong....and I'll do whatever it takes to help!" Wildstorm looked proudly at Acepaw. "And that is what will make you a great Warrior, Acepaw. When you can look any danger in the eye and say that you're ready to keep on going. Skyclan needs cats like you even more when things like this happen. It has been worse before, and it can be worse again." He warned honestly, before he nodded. "But the courage to fight through can survive through anything. I truly believe that." "Thanks, Wildstorm," he mewed, briefly pressing his muzzle into his mentors fur. Wildstorm felt more like a father figure than Shadow ever had in his life. "You're wise. Its no wonder Spiritstar chose you to mentor more than one apprentice. You're a great mentor!" He added with a slight purr

" You are not a warrior, you are the Medicine Cat. Medicine Cats are exempt from the boundaries of the clans, as we are neutral parties in all manners." Lavendersky scolded him, though she had started coughing right after. How weak her throat was, she was surprised she could speak at all. Must be the stubbornness she had been born with. Though that stubbornness had given her the will to accomplish many things in life. She still remembered how as soon as she was able to walk, she caused Hiddenface much grief by sneaking out of the nest to follow Eaglecry around. Her blindness had never stopped her from foolish ideas. "If there was a cure for old age, there would be no point to a leader having nine lives anymore." She grumped, closing her eyes. "There are many heroes in Starclan, all of which are greater than I." Holy Starclan I love that last quote she said-))

“It was her voice but it just… sounded different. Angry and cold, like she’d always talked like that. She almost looked like she would laugh at me when I stammered.” Basilpaw described softly, shame in his eyes. “I wish I wasn’t so weak. I shouldn’t be scared of anyone…” He whispered. “I… of course not! You never would!” Wingpaw exclaimed, before he realized what she was implying. He shuffled his paws, looking unsure. “How can we tell what really happened if Quickwing and Plumwillow only saw the part they fell? And if Warblerwind is gone…” He trailed off, the realization saddening. Warblerwind had been such a good friend. Why had it all changed so suddenly? Shadespots pulled Basilpaw closer to her, trying to block out all the noises of their clanmates arguing around them. "You are not weak, you are young! You have so much to learn still. I would be just as scared if my leader was suddenly threatening me. This has got to have something to do with the dark forest, something must have happened to Spiritstar." she growled. "I bet Warblerwind figured it out. That's why they were fighting." "They didn't find Warblerwind's body. He has to be out there somewhere! I know he's going to come back and clear his name. It will all make sense when he comes back." Springpaw sniffed, trying to gather herself. "I know Quickwing and Plumwillow can only report what they saw, but I wish they had gotten there sooner." Basilpaw lifted his eyes up to look at his mother, wanting to believe her words. It was hard, but she had never lied to him before. So, he had to force himself to believe her, even if it was hard. He pressed his muzzle to her fur, closing his eyes. "Warblerwind wouldn't have killed her. I... I can't believe that, she had to have been threatening him like she did to me, and maybe it really was someone else." He looked fearful then, whispering. "Can that happen? Can... can a cat become someone else entirely? Someone...not themselves?" Wingpaw was silent at that, confliction in his eyes as he gave a slow breath. He looked at Springpaw, ears falling, voice betraying his sadness. "Do you really think he could have survived a fall like that, when Spiritstar couldn't? I... I just..." He closed his eyes. "I wish they got there sooner too. Heck, I wish I ran out after them myself, and broke the rules when I actually needed to!"

Sunfury moved to stand next to Skyflight. “I’ll go too!” He offered before turning to look at Skyflight. He nosed her with a slight grin. “Can’t let you have all the glory of saving our clan mates.” He said with a small tease, never one to stay down for long.

Flyingpaw lifted her gaze to Skystar Tree at the top of the cliff. "I'm going to be the youngest to ever climb all the way to the top of Skystar tree, I swear it. Then, I'll earn my warrior name." Splashecho tilted her head at her son's words. She hadn't noticed Springpaw or Flyingpaw falling behind, but she hadn't attended the last couple sessions to keep suspicions down. "I'll talk to your sisters. They should know better than to slack off in training." Sparrowstrike smiled, his eyes soft as he looked at his daughter, "How about at sunrise tomorrow you and I can go out and practice your climbing. I want to see everything you've learned! I remember when you were a kit you tried to climb the cliff. Your mother and I didn't notice until you were way up high. I caught you midair after you jumped off. I don't think I've ever moved so fast." Twigpaw nodded, satisfied with Splashecho's answer. "Springpaw is too busy gossiping and mooning over Wingpaw to worry about getting stronger and Flyingpaw cares too much about climbing. She's good in the sessions but she just doesn't put in any extra work!" Flyingpaw grinned. She liked the sound of climbing with her father. "I remember that," she chuckled. "I was so proud of how high I got, and I knew you were there to catch me when I jumped." She nudged her father. "I love you, dad." Splashecho shook her head. "That isn't good. Springpaw shouldn't be distracted by toms or trivial Clan interactions. Getting stronger to keep each other safe is all that matters. I'll talk to Flyingpaw about her climbing too. I swear her head is the clouds more than its on her body."

He tried to groom a knot out of her pelt. "Well...StarClan is great, but I wouldn't have a strong faith in them if it weren't for you, Lavendersky. I owe a lot to you. I'm so grateful you let me become your apprentice, even with my bad attitude."

Lavendersky actually gave a soft purr to that, "No worse than my own as a kit. I'm fairly certain Eaglecry's muzzle turned grey because of me." She purred softly, keeping her eyes closed. "In terms of the clan... The Medicine Cat takes over until a new Leader is found who can name a deputy. The clan has to follow you, or risk falling apart. As of now, you are their leader, and there are certain clans that can help, and are willing to help. Shadowclan for example, has been there many times in our times of need. That is where Cliffheart is." Thinking about it, she gave a soft sigh at his name. She had no blood relatives, but Cliffheart was the last she had to family besides Spiderbite. She had been closest to him, and missed him dearly. She hoped he was okay, she knew he had struggled since the Adderclan days.

She laughed a little at his joke, but the sound was flat. "I would have followed behind too. I wish I did. I failed him Wingpaw. I failed my friend."

"I hope ShadowClan would be willing to help us, but I'm not sure about Cedarstar." His pelt prickled at the recollection of how Cedarstar had appeared at the gathering, in the time he banished Opalmist, he looked like a completely different cat. "You miss Cliffheart, don't you?"

"I was closest to him as a kit. I was close to Spiritstar as well, but that was because she followed my steps as a medicine cat. Generally speaking, I just had a fondness of Cliffheart." Lavendersky murmured, lost in thought back to the days long gone. "I never believed Robinwing when she said that Cliffheart pushed Spiritstar down the gorge, not for a moment. So I turned to Shadowclan, and Northstar let him stay. Hearing him only at gatherings... it was difficult... but the fact I could still have contact with him at all was a blessing from Starclan."

She had such an amazing life, saving her brother, leading the Clan's faith. He hoped he could be like her. He wished he could do something for Lavendersky as a thank you. Spiderbite blinked. "Wait...If...If I lead the Clan, I could go get Cliffheart. I could bring him here. You could see him again."

Basilpaw perked up, eyes wide with surprise as his mother described the Shadowclan cat who had apparently said that something else had been controlling him. He blinked a bit, disheartened at her next words. "They thought he was crazy? I... I guess that makes sense, when he was the one who killed Silversting. Whitesun and Snowtalon talk about her alot. But... I didn't know that the Shadowclan cat said that." He admitted, inwardly feeling less crazy himself. If this Shadowclan cat was telling the truth, then maybe Spiritstar suffered the same thing! Wingpaw stood up abruptly, shaking his head sharply. "No. Don't say that, you hear me? If you went over, then... well, so would I! You didn't fail him. Don't say that!" "I would love to see him, but I do not even know what he looks like." She huffed, before sighing softly.
