I’m waiting on my labs to come back but idk what’s wrong with me I haven’t felt good for a week now. I’m almost about to pass out with no other symptoms. But I haven’t passed out yet. it’s not consistent. Can last 5 mins or 30 seconds. I hate feeling like this. It makes me worried especially when I’m driving

thank you for the support, it means a lot to me. im doing a little better now, but it still doesn't seem real. I’m glad you’re a bit better. Death is hard to feel real at least that’s how it has been when I’ve experienced it. Take all the time that you need to process your grief.

I’m kind of bothered by something I saw on a site where I’ve spoken with other people with my chronic illness. There’s been a bunch of controversy about Cyberpunk, and games in general and epilepsy — specifically those that are photosensitive epileptics. This person on the site claims that a game has made them seize in the past and goes on a very long rant about how, for example, there should be labels of warnings on cars, foods, things that make loud sounds, etc. They are basically telling people (epileptics in specific) to “get over it” and accept that we are epileptic. They call us (epileptics) unrealistic to be asking for warnings in video games if something can cause a seizure.
I don’t know, the way they word their entire rant leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I’ve been ill for 10 years and it will never go away. I accepted that long ago, but telling people like myself to stop advocating feels wrong.

Caught myself planning out how much I can eat once I go back to the college dorms (at home rn, for winter break). I'm getting better at stopping that thought process, but it's starting to come back more often. Doing my best with it right now. Being around people helps (makes sure that I eat, even if they don't realize that that's becoming a problem for me), but I'm nervous about going back to my dorm room. I'll be alone. No one will notice how many meals I skip. I don't think it will get as bad as it did last quarter, but... I don't know. Just trying to work with myself, I guess.

Society hates people who are different and say they accept differences but it's a lie. They only accept things deemed "socially acceptable", including opinions, even if your opinion isn't harmful and just misunderstood. I hate society and I'm excited for when my partner takes me to live rural, away from people.

Slightly bothered right now. I found out my pacemaker like device for my brain’s battery has depleted. My device is what blocks seizures or lessens the strength of them. I no longer have that therapy. I can have surgery but my doctor’s office isn’t answering the phone 🙃 and the hospital that I’d be at are not the nicest people around at all. I’ll be fine but I don’t like that I’m missing a key part of me and can no longer rely on it.

i can't stand how people these days bend over backwards to accommodate every possible perspective or belief or opinion to the point where they re-affirm relativism every time they express their own. "personally i like __ but not everyone does and that's okay!" or "i believe ___ BUT don't worry your belief is equally valid!"
like shut up. just say you hate pickles, you don't need to make sure you avoid hurting pickle lover's feelings. it's okay to believe strongly in subjective views. and for that matter, you should have some beliefs you find objective and stand by as such. constantly trying to legitimize every world view just serves to undermine the roots of your own. don't be rude but have the guts to say "i believe __" without qualifying mitigations.

This is not a major vent but god i'm so upset because there's this really good anime i want to keep watching,,, but it's frustrating because i watch it in spanish,,, and up until episode 340, i have to watch in in japanese with subtitles. It's really frustrating because i always watch it with my brother and i've gotten really used to their current voices. I'm in episode 297 and i don't know how i'll be able to watch the rest in spanish.
And english isin't a choice either, as many names and things are changed.
On a more positive note, i think there's a website launching the anime soon on their platform, so i'm hoping they add all of the episodes!

wedding dress shopping is just depressing because what i want is very simple and classic (A-line with long sleeves and lace, without a plunging back/neckline) but apparently that makes it very expensive and the choices under $1000 are either (a) nightgowns or (b ) not my style
so cue me crying because this is one thing in a long line of stuff that makes me dread my wedding rather than feel excited

I have a small nitpick pertaining to accents in media. Why does it seem like every single thing that takes place in Europe everyone has an English accent? I can understand them not making the show in the country's language that's fair the majority of people who will be watching it will probably be native English speakers. However they don't even attempt to do accents I mean I would rather listen to a badly done French accent if the show takes place in France rather than an English one. Also if two people on the show are from different countries they both sound English so unless it's mentioned that they're from different countries you'll never have a clue. I have nothing against English accents it just makes it hard for me to get invested in a show.

If all your actors are British, then they'll all have British accents regardless of where the show is set.

If a show took place in Texas where everyone were supposed to be Texans would it take you out of the immersion if they all had heavy New Yorker accents? Or one better if they all spoke Polish despite being born and raised in Texas? I know a lot of these actors have accent coaches and if they don't they're more than likely rich enough to afford one. And I looked it up and the show was filmed here

As for the hypothetical... honestly? I wouldn't care. But that's just me.

Texas Rising? It's funny how places are perceived like it seems a lot of people who make shows about states countries etc that they're they not from seem to have only seen ONE part of that place and that's what they're sticking with.
