I feel like guaranteeing one cat per person chosen from one of their clans works, but with circumstances?
For example, if a person has a clan leader or deputy they'd only ever be sending that one character to a gathering. Also, if I remember correctly, new apprentices/warriors always attend the first gathering after they've been named? So in those cases people would be pretty much locked into only using that cat for the gathering. I think we could let all 'needed' clan members to the gathering automatically, then each rper(or clan leader) chooses one more of their cats to bring to gathering from any clan, regardless of which clan the 'needed' member is from.
The only thing I'd worry about then is that Clans might have uneven group sizes, but we could implement a sort of rotation where you if you have characters from multiple clans you have to swap which clan your character comes from every moon. It still might be uneven though, and I'm unsure if that's a huge issue or not? If it is, you could limit the size of each clan's group to like 8 cats, and it's first-come first-served.

I think what Drea said will work when I think about it. I do want to prevent people sending the same cats if possible, as it's obvious favoritism when you need to rotate your cats. As a leader, I'm fine with just having Rainstar from ThunderClan. If we don't have enough people to make the patrols even, we can allow a Clan to have two characters per person, perhaps with some watchful eye? |

The red text on the lighter blue is kind of difficult to read. Do you think we could use a darker or lighter shade so it doesn't contrast with the post colors as much?

Maybe also make the margins smaller to stretch it on the page more. That suggestion is just a personal preference though, it's just jarring to me to see the regular forum board spanning the full width and then the itty bitty block of text. Unless it's just because i'm on firefox? but to me it looks like this. It's taking up less than a fourth of the overall space on the webpage overall, so I feel like I'm squinting here. |

Agreed that the red is ugly, I'll change it to a different shade or a different color altogether. I could do the dark grey (like of the border lines) or black.
Let me send you screenshots of mine, Leap. I use Chrome and Edge, but I'll open Firefox to check too.
It seems that everyone prefers the version that alternates colors so far & I need to fix it up because the font size is around 13.9px. I tried 15px, it was too big so I may settle around 14px or 14.5px.

I use chrome and TOR and the formatting looks the same there. The text is pretty small here too. I usually have wcrp zoomed in for it

Short answer: When we think everything is suitably ready.
We're not wanting to rush things, even if it may be the original five Clans. We have worked together to make this unique and different from others. We're aiming to be as inclusive as possible and creative as possible without losing that spark. We're striving to be clear and concise with what we put out. The content is being proofread, and every bit of information is getting looked at two to three times. We're also tweaking things here and there, adding ideas we didn't think of before. Don't worry, we'll let you know when we are about to open. If you want, and anyone else keeping an eye, we can contact you when we're close to finishing up! |
