I'm a tad uncomfortable wring up the territory and camp descriptions, but I'll still be happy to come up with more landmark descriptions if needed!

According to the other clans, Thunderclan actually needs one more landmark They have a small unnamed streamed, great sycamore, Snakerocks, Sandy hollow, and the owl tree. We could always give them Sunning rocks for the start of the rp, as said would cause drama between thunder//river since drought ^^; Riverclan has Druid's Leap{twoleg bridge is here}, Morgan's Farm, and the gorge Which means if they don't get Sunning Rocks, they need three more territory markers.

I also had the idea of Babbling Brook for a RiverClan landmark if you want me to pull that description back up.

Oh nice! And Babbling Brook would be great
Maybe something like Pebble Beach as well, just a nice little spot by the river full of shiny pebbles and rocks and stuff riverclanners can go out and collect since canonically they like shiny things in their nests

Pebble Beach is such a cute name for a location? I love it
I really like Babbling Brook too!

Hm... Babbling Brook: A narrow part of the river going through RiverClan's territory that's known for being very rocky. It's easy to slip and hurt yourself if you're not careful, however it's a calming place to be, and the background noise makes it a good place to go if you don't want to be overheard by nosy clanmates. Here it was!

Pebble Beach - The most shallow part of the river, and a very popular spot for most RiverClan cats. Queens will sometimes bring their kits to pebble beach to collect shiny stones and practice their swimming in a relatively safe environment.

If you guys want I can type up thunderclan territory stuff? Also I feel like sunningrocks should be listed under both thunderclan and riverclan, and then we can mention who the current owner of the rocks is there.

I will be on in a few but I like several over the ideas so please don't mind my liking. I'm also kinda distracted because I am a klutz simultaneously hurt both feet in different ways with the combination of a pet/baby gate and the door itself.

I agree, putting Sunningrocks under both River & Thunder's landmarks is fair and we can state who has ownership currently. Sure, Peng! You can do Thunder if you'd like since Feather's going to do River.

Then maybe we shouldn't count it as like an official landmark? It would just be an important part of their territories.

I am okay with excluding it from the numbers. I think one more landmark idea for River could be Rustling Willow if I remember it correctly? The willow overhangs on the river so it's a nice shady spot and would be beautiful during the right times of day. The willow leaves would also making a rustling whoosh sound if that makes sense?

So, Rain suggested that RiverClan has ownership of Sunningrocks right now. Should we go with that? I'll still add the Sunningrocks in the spot of the landmarks on the thread as we discussed.
Also, I think I'm gonna try and gather the traditions and see what we have.

I’d be down for that, and yeah it might be a good idea to start getting a list of the traditions we’ve figured out and how many more we still need

bunch of traditions quotes that I was able to find so far: With SkyClan, I actually had an idea for a tradition last night. So what if there's one particularly tall tree in SkyClan territory, and there's a tradition that once an apprentice is confident enough in their climbing skills, they'll climb up into the higher branches of the tree and leave their claw mark? Seasonal Feasts When the season changes based on the cycle of the moon, the Clan holds a feast to celebrate the change and hope that StarClan will bless them with an easy season. The senior warriors and deputies are responsible for hosting games and other small events for the younger generations. Elders hold a large story-telling event at dawn and dusk. The leaders recap the special events from the past season after the story-telling event and officiates the feast. Cats are expected to fast the day before and moments before the feast.
Claw-Moon Tournament Often used to ease the minds of the Clan when times are troubled, the leader, deputy, and senior warriors host a competition held on claw-moon nights. It varies due to season and if one competition has been used recently. The most common time for this little tradition is in newleaf or greenleaf. The rules are made up a day in advance to keep the Clan interested. The competition could even be multiple small contests to keep everyone preoccupied. Climbing, hunting, or even scavenger hunts are used. If there is a spar, claws must be sheathed and any unsheathed swipes will end up in disqualification. The prize for winners also varies on what the leader and deputy permit.
Shadowing A recently new addition, recently made warriors will be assigned to a mentor and their apprentice to shadow. They are to learn how to mentor the younger generation and get the experience of mentoring themselves. This also is used to determine who would thrive as a mentor and who lacks the patience. The warriors are expected to mentor the apprentices they were assigned to with the supervision of the actual mentor. Even if a warrior has shadowed, they must have their own apprentice before becoming deputy.
Journey to Highstones Before they become a warrior, apprentices will journey to highstones. They will receive a dream from StarClan about their destiny. They may not speak of the dream to others. On some special circumstances, a newly made warrior will made the journey if they were unable to during their apprenticeship. Yes! I think it was mentioned in one of the field guides they do that. It'd be a nice tradition for them to collect items to put in their nest. Riverclan could also do a fishing contest tradition if that hasn't been mentioned. They all race to catch as many fish as possible in Greenleaf then have a feast that night to signify the changing of seasons. I would say Newleaf but they'd have to wait for the fish to replenish. Another question, Milk. I love the prefix but would it be allowed? It sounds a bit weird to be quiet honest.
Just to further our progression; Shadowclan tradition: For one night an apprentice is taken into the forest to learn how to hunt/fight in complete darkness. Could be part of their assessment but it'd fit the whole 'shadowclan is in the shadows' type stuff Another question, Milk. I love the prefix but would it be allowed? It sounds a bit weird to be quiet honest.

Could be part of their assessment but it'd fit the whole 'shadowclan is in the shadows' type stuff Milk would be cute! And as for that tradition, I can imagine them having to spend a night alone in the forest would make for a great assessment, or maybe with another apprentice more so there's someone to roleplay with.

If these are all approved, I could make a list?
I think everyone decided that each clan has??? I wanna say 3 or 5 but I could be way off, unique traditions and then some shared traditions as well?

Maybe RiverClan apprentices have to be strong enough to swim upstream? I like that idea! I think Windclan did a spotting thing actually in their assessments, where apprentices sit on a rock and talk about what they see to their mentor. edit;; I can't spell pls forgive Maybe a SkyClan apprentice must spend several hours in the trees without going on the ground, figuring out how to hunt from there? They have to catch an adder from Snakerocks?

ThunderClan Traditions: -apprentices catching an adder from Snakerocks
RiverClan Traditions: -apprentices having to be strong enough to swim upstream -fishing contest, with a feast that night to celebrate the start of Greenleaf
WindClan Traditions: -apprentices doing a spotting assignment (sitting on a rock and talking to their mentor about what they saw)
ShadowClan Traditions: -apprentices having to spend a night alone (or with another apprentice) in the forest
SkyClan Traditions: -apprentices learning to hunt in the trees alone -apprentices climbing up a tree to prove their strong enough and leaving their claw marks on the high branches
Shared Traditions: -seasonal feasts -claw-moon tournaments -shadowing -journey to High Stones
I tried to keep it short for the list Basing off of this, we could have 5 shared traditions between the clans, and 3 unique traditions for each clan??

Another thing we mentioned was something called legacies. Since the history of the Clans is well-known, there is no point in posting it on the page unless we want aesthetic. Now, legacies give important details of the past leaders. For any canon role-play I do, I shorten it to about four or five. I very rarely include any other canon leaders besides the founders. There are too many leaders and I believe the Erins have stated that there are leaders we don't even know about. Not to mention that it's a hassle to make a list and one leader only being known to lead during a certain time. With that said, non-canon leaders are a nice route to take and as previously stated, can have some nice little details to be role-played. Before we start on that, I do want to point out that the Clans are always changing and always interacting, so we can't have errors and inconsistencies. I recommend only a very small handful of people, three at the max, to work on it to prevent errors. Since we like to list, we can take note from how Secrets of the Clans gives us information about the leaders. How we write them depends on how we want to organize it. Do we want to have the leader and then list the accomplishments they have done in addition to their deputy's deeds (or their deputies' deeds) and their medicine cat's deeds? Or do we want to have the leader stand out and list their accomplishments, then have their significant deputies and medicine cats under the leader with their own little section? I have some examples below in a spoiler and I also posted the history from the site if we want to use it. The draft samples are from a role-play I'm currently working on in my drafts. robinstar ● a dark brown-and-cream tabby she-cat with blue eyes ● first leader of foxclan, she was appointed by popular vote ● ambitious and loyal, she was determined to make foxclan appear strong ● she was aggressive, but had good intentions, in her efforts ● she often clashed with the other leaders, as they felt she was disrupting the peace hollystorm, fox, and gorse made for them ● despite being the youngest leader, she was the first to lose her first life and her ninth notable deputies: plumcloud, rushingcreek (later rushingstar) notable medicine cats: tansyheart leaders of the other clans: echostar of hollyclan & shrewstar of gorseclan

tansyheart ● a pale golden tabby she-cat with green eyes ● first medicine cat of foxclan ● argued with the other medicine cats over a potential code forbidding medicine cats to have a mate and kits ● greatly admired gorse but was cold to songbird and shrewstar over the fact her placement in foxclan ● adored kits and was quite a flirt to the warriors, she used this to keep whiny patients calm while she worked

I took sleep meds so hopefully I’ll be avoiding a repeat of yesterday’s up til 3.
At the very least tomorrow I’m going to be converting my cats into Rain’s form, make sure they’re all ready.
Once I’ve got em like that I’ll probegly the showing the owners of each clan to start.
There’s a couple cats in particular I’m excited to try too, although might do a clan swap with one of the characters so they aren’t both in SkyClan

I'm good with that, Smore! Thunder, Wind, and Shadow will need 2 more traditions. Sky and River will only need 1 more. And then for all 5 clans, we'll just need 1 more.
I agree, Rain, we don't need the history; it'll take up space on the page and I don't find it necessary to include. I'm down for doing the legacies though, they'd be a lot cooler to include. I like your first option for the leader legacy idea.
