“In a sense...” Cam kept looking through the information. “They shot a piece that typically wouldn’t be a huge issue, not for a few hours at least. It’s gotten loose and it’s starting to put pressure on... well... something you don’t exactly want to put pressure on.” She continued to read the instruments, biting her lip. “There’s not much I can do about it, not quickly, not here.” She admitted. “I can divert the power around that area, but I don’t know how long life support would continue to run after, since a lot of that is in this general area.” She pointed at a display, where a red area had started to be registered. “I don’t know how long we would have after that. If I do that, I don’t know how the rest of the shuttle will hold up to this change. I could try and reduce the flow, but that would take more time and I’m not sure we’d even have that to begin with. If nothing is done, the pressure will build up and eventually that build up will snap and...” Her voice trailed off, not wanting to say they’d provide an interesting light show for the locals. At the question of time, she stayed silent for a moment, then responded to Abby. “I don’t know.”
Spock, who had been listening in to both situations, did not find their odds to be high. He turned towards Cam. “How long until this pressure builds up? Is there enough time to act?” He questioned.
Cam nodded in response, then stood up. “We have a little over 5 minutes before the pressure will build up to such a level.” She looked between the two crewmen closest to her, then grabbed her communicator and some other devices from her bag. “Spock, I need you to sit here and tell me if anything, well, starts going to shit.” She looked back at her friend, the stress she felt becoming very visible. She glanced back at Spock and Bones again, then walked to the back of the shuttle and opened up the panel to the mechanical area. She slipped inside and got to work.
Jim hadn’t been paying much attention to what was happening towards the front of the shuttle. He could tell from where he was sitting that Abby’s situation was declining, even if he couldn’t exactly see why. He sat on the edge of his seat, literally and figuratively. When his ears finally picked up on what Cam was saying, he knew they were in trouble. He watched the woman disappear into the shuttle, then looked at McCoy. “Bones, is there anything you can do here for Abby?” He knew the Doctor was at a bit of a disadvantage with not being in medbay, but he knew his friend was still a good doctor.

After watching Cam get to work, Bones sighed and turned his attention to Jim and Abigail. He frowned. "There's not much I'll be able to Jim." He got an emergency kit from the shuttle's wall. "Get her flat on her stomach. I don't want use a sedative on until I've figured out if she has a concussion." He started to shuffle through the case, finding a medical tricorder.
T'Aimnu unbuckled Abby and awkwardly helped the woman on her stomach. It was obvious she was definitely weak. The female Vulcan then backed away from the small group to let McCoy in. She wandered over to the opened case and dug out the dermal regenerator for McCoy.
Bones then proceeded to scan Abby. "Just some bruised ribs and tissue." He muttered to himself. Then he frowned, seeing the bigger pool of red on her shirt. Scanning it, his eyebrows furrowed. "Bullet wound, it must of got her as she slid into the shuttle craft. It doesn't look like it hit any major organs, but she is losing a lot of blood. If we can get her into the med bay with half an hour, she should be ok. Just need to put pressure on the wound." He shuffled, opened a pack of gauze and put pressure on the wound. T'Aimnu traded places with the man as he grabbed the regenerator and gently moved her shirt up to work on the bayonet slice. Once he was done with that, he gave the woman a hypospray for the pain, none too kindly to show the woman his annoyance.
Abby groaned slightly as pressure was put on her wound and then again when T'Aimnu and Bones switched places. Another hiss came from the woman when McCoy jabbed her with the hypospray. "Why... why do you have to be so rough Doc?" Abby complained

Jim watched Bones work on Abby. He was careful to stay out of the way. He stiffened a little when he heard the words ‘bullet wound’, but relaxed ever so slightly when he heard the time frame. Of course, that wouldn’t do them any good if they were all dead in twenty. Under any other circumstances, James would’ve laughed a little at Abby’s complaint. He knew better than almost anyone how poor the doctor’s bedside manner could be. He just grimaced, too worried to find the situation truly amusing.
Spock, who had been watching the instruments, noticed an abnormality that hadn’t been there before. At first, he assumed Cam had done her job. It wasn’t the route he had expected, but then the original route also showed abnormalities. He opened up his own communicator. “Spock to Cam. I have noticed an abnormality in the track above the original route. I have also noticed a similar change in the area you previously discussed as a solution. Are you aware of this?” He started once she answered.
“Yeah. I found a way to fork it and direct some of it above the hanging object. It will supply some to the life support systems, not much, but it may buy us a few more minutes. I’m just finishing up the original diversion.” Cam responded, her communicator next to her as she worked. “I’m... uncertain that this will get us to the ship. That piece they loosened did a number on this shuttlecraft.” She didn’t want to say it, but she was almost certain there was no way they would make it to the ship.
“I see. Spock out.” Spock closed his communicator and sat, looking at the instruments, for a moment. He turned around to look at the others. “Jim, Cam is finishing up, but she does not seem certain that we will make it to the ship.”
Jim glanced up at Spock, then opened up his own communicator. “Kirk to Enterprise. What are the chances on us being able to be beamed up? We have an emergency. The shuttle won’t make the trip, or at least, we won’t. We also have an injury that requires medbay attention.”
“The transporters are still not in the best of shape. And it may be hard to pinpoint your locations.” Kirk grimaced at the response, almost closing his communicator when he heard more coming over it. “The transporters will be completely online in a few minutes. Can you spare that long?” Sulu asked. That had been the best odds Kirk had heard in a while. “Yeah, I think Lieutenant Commander Russ bought us a few minutes.” The Captain responded. “Alright Captain. When they’re back completely, we may be able to pull you guys back.”
Jim closed his communicator with the most optimistic look in his eye he’d had in a while. “Looks like we may be getting some help.”

"That's good. Something at least." McCoy smiled, though his attention turned to Abby, as she was weakly trying to turn. McCoy and T'Aimnu exchanged looks and then helped to sit Abby up.
At least when Abby sat up, she wasn't visibly having a hard time breathing. But on the flipside, she was looking pale even with her olive skin.
"Any guess on the beam up Captain?" T'Aimnu asked, adding another layer of gauze to the temporary patch she had created after McCoy handed her some more.
"You are sure on that time frame Doctor?" T'Aimnu question, looking at her friend's skin tone and her busted lip. She could already seen a few more bruises coming up along with her eye.
"I'll be fine T'Aimnu." Abby whispered. "Got through worse." Another whisper of a smile ghosted her lips.
McCoy raised both of his eyebrows at the Vulcan's questioning of his professional opinion. "It's only a guess. I won't know until I get the bleeding under control. I don't think any major blood vessels were hit."

The worry in Kirk’s eyes returned as he noticed just how pale Abby was. “In a few minutes I’m going to call up again and see if they’re ready. It sounded like they’d be ready by then.”
Spock turned in the chair completely to look at Abby’s condition. While she was still conscious, she looked much paler than usual. The blood loss would soon become very concerning. “A guess, Doctor? Can you not tell if a major blood vessel has been hit with what information you have?” He knew the medbay’s equipment was more favorable, but did not understand how McCoy was not near certain on the subject. “I fail to understand how you are uncertain on this.” He continues to voice his own opinion, not meaning in any way to question McCoy’s professional abilities.
After finishing up, Cam slipped out of the missing panel and into the main area of the craft. “We have about ten minutes.” She announced. She looked over at the now sitting Abby and she grimaced a little, noticing how drained she looked. She looked away and took a seat behind Kirk.
“We’re getting an emergency beam up, once the transporters are fully operational.” Kirk informed Cam, since she had missed his announcement. He looked back at Abby. “This is cutting it too close...” he muttered. When James T. Kirk decided they were cutting things too close, that was definitely cutting it close.

"That it is Jim." Bones sighed, sending a glare to Spock. "Spock, do you know how often in my career, I've actually dealt with gun shot wounds? Including medical school, I can count on two hands how many cases I've treated. It's antiquated damnit!" He stated icily. "I'm not about to preform surgery, not having a clue with how much damage this could have did. Not know what type she was shot with, whether or not it had rifling. I'm not a medical examiner. Nor an ancient weapons expert Spock. The closest person is the one who shouldn't speak. This isn't a phaser wound Spock! I won't know until I extract the bullet." He exclaimed, getting fairly frustrated with his questioning. "I'm not going backwards into medieval medicine, like they are planetside!"
"No rifling." Abby stated softly, her eyes were being to get heavy.
"Abigail just stay awake and don't speak." T'Aimnu stated softly, giving Spock a fairly stern look.

Spock raised an eyebrow at McCoy’s outburst. While it was almost expected of the man, the Vulcan still did not see the necessity in it. “I am not questioning your experience, Doctor McCoy.” He glanced over at Jim, as if he would agree. The Captain just shook his head a little, as if to tell his friend to drop it.
Kirk leaned back in the chair slightly, then picked up the communicator again. “Kirk here. How are the transporters coming along?”
“They’re nearly up, probably in the next minute or two. Then I’ll see if I can hook onto your individual locations and pull you in.” Sulu responded.
Jim sighed and closed the communicator, leaning completely in his chair. He could feel his energy wearing down, and he knew Abby could only be worse off. He felt a light bruise starting to form on his back, which he wasn’t sure when it had happened. He groaned, not out of pain, but almost out of annoyance. “If we make it out of this alive, I never want to see anything about the American Revolutionary War again...” he groaned out, closing his eyes tightly and leaning his head against the back of his seat.
“If we make it to the ship, I’m never coming off for a mission again.” Cam huffed halfway under her breath. She knew she didn’t have much of a choice on that matter, but it still made her feel better to say.
Kirk heard Cam, opened his eyes and turned slightly in the seat to say something. Then he sighed and went back to resting. Right about now, he was having similar thoughts. He didn’t want to be on a mission like this again, not under that Admiral. It seemed that anything that came from the Admiral would only cause issues.

Abby tried to giggle slightly, but it only came out a pained, weak gasp for air.
"Now you see why the reaction Commander Smith had to seeing the Admiral." T'Aimnu stated, she had more to say, but was cut off as Abby's head finally drifted to Abby's chest. She lost the battle for consciousness. "Captain." T'Aimnu nodded at Abby. "Next time the Enterprise comes through, tell to get you Abigail and the Doctor to the ship first if at all of us can't be retrieved at once." Panic crossed her eyes, but she quickly hid it behind a stony Vulcan face.
T'Aimnu looked away from Cam and the Captain. "After this mission, no one could blame you. Part of the reason why she wanted to keep the group as small as possible. So you wouldn't have to endure any that you did. She didn't want any of you to see a slice of her life. Especially you Captain. If you saw that part of her, she knew your opinion of her would change." She looked down at the woman in question. "Enough. Cam, how are we doing?" She asked.

James visibly grimaced at the noise Abby made. “Yeah, I see that now..” he muttered. When her head fell, his hand was already back on the communicator before T’Aimnu said anything. “Kirk to Enterprise. We need to get McCoy and Abigail Smith on board as soon as possible. Smith has fallen unconscious.”
“The transporters are back on. We can pull McCoy, Smith and yourself up right now. It will be easier on the transporter, if there’s enough time left in the shuttle.” Kirk looked at Cam after he heard this.
“I’d say we have another five minutes left. Maybe a little more if half of us leave, for oxygen supply. May not make a difference for everything else.” Cam shrugged a little, answering T’Aimnu’s question and the question Kirk’s look had asked.
“It’ll be close, but we’ll have enough time. Make sure a medical team is waiting when we get there.” Kirk responded on the communicator.
“Alright, I’ll look onto your coordinates now.” Jim closed the communicator and looked around the ship. “Bones, Abby and I will go up first.” He glanced at T’Aimnu, Cam and Spock. “We’ll get you guys out of here as soon as we can.” He promised, not liking leaving the three on a shuttle headed to their deaths. Yet again, nothing about this mission was optimal. He turned to Cam. “Is there anything you can do to buy more time?” He asked, halfway worried something would happen to the transporters.
Cam hesitated, then nodded. “There’s something else. It’s not optimal, and I’m not certain about it.” She shrugged a shoulder. “If I messed it up, the... pressure build up would look like sparks compared to what would happen.” She glanced back at the panel, then back at Kirk. “If it comes down to it, I’ll give it a shot.” At this point, her mentality was anything that bought her a minute more of existence was the best option, no matter how likely it was to work. No matter how horrible the death would be. She flashed an incredibly nervous smile. “I’ll do my best to get your first officer back to you. Make sure Abby makes it through this.”
Jim wasn’t sure if he should be more or less worried about Cam trying whatever it was if things got worse. He figured that they would be dead at this point if it wasn’t for her anyways, but she seemed much more uncertain about this. The Captain pushed his communicator back into his bag and then grabbed the handle, looking up at Spock. “Spock. Don’t throw a party while I’m gone.” He attempted to hide his nerves in a bit of humor, which was not completely picked up by the Vulcan.
Spock raised an eyebrow, confused for a moment. “Jim, why would I-“ then he realized the attempt and cut himself off. “I will maintain contact with the Enterprise in your absence.” He responded instead.
Kirk halfway snorted, then started to feel the transporter start to draw him in. He took at best of a look he could at the three he was leaving behind. After all of this, he almost felt that this could be the last time he’d see them. Jim forced that thought away as the ships interior appeared before him.

"Of course, if she doesn't. Someone will pay." T'Aimnu warned before they disappeared.
The moment Bones fully reappeared on the pad, he stopped Abby from banging her head any more than she already had. "I hate transporters." He muttered under his breath. After being able to take a good look at the woman in proper light. Even with the knowledge that not all the blood on her was her own, she looked battered and terrible. Having been alerted, McCoy's team had two biobeds waiting and two nurses along side McCoy put Abby on a bed and transported her to Med Bay with Bones shouting orders as they moved along. Standing halfway out the Transport room doorway, Bones looked back at Jim. "Everything is just back to normal. Go check on the Bridge to get updated. It'll be a while with her. I'll let you know when the Commander is awake." He promised, before jogging to catch to catch up.
"Well that was eventful." T'Aimnu remarked, waiting on the next beam to come to pick them up.
It took the better part of three hours for McCoy to come out of surgery, not including a good 20 minutes of scanning and prep. He was exhausted. Abby was still just as pale, and hooked up to a couple of machines including a heart monitoring machine. After half hour out of surgery, Bones was leaning against the nearest doorway staring at Abigail, waiting for her to wake up.

Jim looked ready to follow the medbay team once they arrived on the ship. He walked about halfway out with them, then nodded at McCoy’s instruction a little. He still had half the mind to follow them, worried about Abby. Then he remembered the three he had left on the shuttle craft, and headed up to the bridge to secure their passage onto the ship. Once he was there, he started giving out orders to get his team back. Once word came in that the three had been retrieved, he immediately started orders to pull the ship out of the area. It took some maneuvering, but they safely moved away from the chaos.
During this time, Spock made it up to the bridge before they had moved the ship. He went to his own instruments and started to help the effort. As things were coming to a close and the ship was prepared to move, the Vulcan briefly used his resources to scan the shuttle. Life support was down, but he couldn’t calculate for how long they had been, and how close the crew had cut it. As the ship pulled away, the Vulcan was glad as he could be to be leaving that airspace.
After three hours, both Spock and Jim were both still on the bridge. Jim had been using his worry to drive his work. In other words, he knew he couldn’t rest with how worried he was. He decided against going to medbay without a call. It had taken some convincing from the Vulcan, but he realized that if surgery was still going on, he could get in the way. The Vulcan had not been able to convince his friend to rest. At this point, the only reason Spock was on the bridge was to periodically remind Jim that he should take a break. The man looked exhausted, but he refused.

T'Aimnu immediately followed Spock and Kirk up to the bridge, collecting as much data as she could about the planet. She was trying to fill in the gaps that had accumulated. Which took three hours to complete, after that she headed down to the Med Bay to wait.
"Medbay to Captain Kirk. McCoy here to update you. Commander Smith is out of surgery. She'll be fine. Just waiting for her to wake. No need to rush down her. McCoy out." Bones was staring between T'Aimnu and Abigail, not sure who was more of a problem at the moment. He rubbed his eyes, having had treated a couple of other minor cases which included a sprained ankle and minor burns. "T'Aimnu there's no need to wait here. I can call you when she wakes up. I'm sure you're exhausted."
"I understand Doctor. But I would rather stay here. I'm not that tired." T'Aimnu replied cordially.

Once Kirk got the call, he rushed down to medbay. He hurriedly made his way through the area, seeing T’Aimnu and McCoy first, then seeing Abby on the bed. He walked over to the bed and looked at the woman on the bed, noticing how pale she still looked. “Bones, how is she?” He asked, not looking at the others in the area. He hung around the edge of the bed, a look of worry and slight guilt on his face. “Has she woken up at all since we got back on the ship?”
Spock waited a moment, then followed behind Jim. He was going to make sure his friend found some rest. He was also partially curious about Abby’s condition. He entered the medbay and found a small group gathering around one bed. Humans could behavior as pack animals, and it seemed when Vulcans were friends with humans, they developed these behaviors. He walked up to the bed, a few feet away from where Jim was, and looked at Abby’s condition. Once he had seen enough, he stepped back from the bed. He knew McCoy wasn’t going to be happy about the small gathering in the medbay, and Spock didn’t want to cluster any closer than necessary.
When Cam got back on the ship, she knew immediately she wouldn’t be able to get any rest. Instead, she headed down to Engineering to help repair what had been damaged during the battle. This took a little over three hours. After this, she decided to go check on her friend and went to medbay. She hesitantly entered the area, unsure of if the surgery had been finished. She noticed the all too familiar group around one bed and walked over to see her friend’s condition.

"She's stable and will be fine. She's just taking her time to wake up. Abby was definitely lucky with where the bullet got her. She would have been fine without removing the bullet, but I didn't want to chance it with some sort of posioning done the road. Any where else it would have did major damage, if not a quick death." McCoy mused. "With how much stressors her body was under, I'm not surprised that she hasn't woken for this particular mission. But to answer your question Jim, no. She took a good two units of blood."
"Abigail will rise in her own time. I trust the doctor's opinion." T'Aimnu nodded, as she headed to the door. "No sense in all of us sticking around. I will see you all in the morning." She didn't want to leave the woman, but knew that McCoy wouldn't like to have such a group hanging around.
It took another hour or so before there were signs of Abby actually waking. Her eyes opened excruciatingly slow, obviously her eyes were slightly glazed over. But that only last a few moments. She definitely seemed confused as to where she was. She knew better than to talk at this point because whatever would come would be unrecognizedable.

“I’m glad she’s alright.” Jim sighed, the relief he felt making him look a little less exhausted. He glanced over at McCoy and gave him a small nod. “Thanks Bones.” He glanced over at the others who had gathered, and watched as they all filed out. He looked back at Abby, deciding to wait around. “I’ll wait here.” He muttered, not to anyone in particular.
Spock, who had seen his fill, decided to follow T’Aimnu out. Knowing that Abby was growing healthy was all he needed to see. Cam followed out a little more hesitantly. She had half the mind to wait with Kirk, but didn’t want both of them to be forced out by McCoy. She figured one person would be less in the way than two, and someone needed to be there when Abby woke up.
Kirk waited the hour by himself, not leaving the bedside except to pull up a chair. He halfway dozed off at one point, but woke up a little bit before Abby. He noticed her open her eyes and he smiled. He knew she’d be too weak to speak immediately. He took her hand softly, his smile growing a little, glad to see her eyes open. “It’s good to see you’re awake.” He said softly, knowing he probably wouldn’t get a response for a while because of the strain that would put on her.

For a good 30 minutes, Abby kept dosing off and on. Once she finally broke this cycle, she opened her eye and looked at James. "Hi. You're here." Was all Abby could get out. Her voice was still weak, she barely had color returning to her skin at this point. It was a very slow process.
"You scared us, kid." McCoy stated, "Between the gunshot wound and bayonet slice." But didn't add to his train of thoughts, like asking why and where she had learned to fight like she did. Sure Star Fleet Academy taught basic hand to hand self defense, and a few more advanced styles for security, but that was outside the realm of Star Fleet. "You'll be fine. Weak for a day or two until your body can catch up to its battering ram you gave it. But fine. Oh by the way, nice job on the bruised ribs. I healed as much as I could while extracting the bullet. But you'll have to live with bruised ribs for a few days to weeks. I'll leave you two lovebirds to rattle a few things out." Bones stated as he headed to his office.
Abby hardly even nodded her thanks to the doctor as he walked away. She weakly squeezed Jame's hand. "Enterprise right? How... how long was I out?" Everything came out slower, longer and more elongated for Abby then she liked. Which of course frustrated the woman. Her tongue felt like cotton.

(Okay, so, I did not think on the plots too much. I have a few ideas on some small plots to kinda tide us over until we can figure something out, worse case scenario. I was going to watch the Orville, but ended up finishing the Wolverine, and starting Portrait of a Lady on Fire(?) And Bone Tomahawk. While I so far recommend all three, I don’t think those would much help in plot ideas. I’ll think it over some more tonight.)
“I am.” James had remained by her side as she continued through this cycle, just glad to see her getting back to semi-normal. He glanced back at Bones as he spoke, laughing a little at the bruised rib cage. He’d had plenty of those himself, and he knew how wonderful she would feel because of it. “Thanks Bones.” He meant to thank him more for his work than for leaving them. Then he realized what his friend had called him, and for a brief moment grew somewhat defensive. Lovebirds? Please! He looked back at Abby, still looking a little defensive. He would have to remind his friend about how he’d spent half the mission holding Cam’s hand. The defensive look in Kirk’s eyes dissipated when Abby squeezed his hand. “Yes, we made it to the Enterprise. Everyone’s alright. The three of us” Jim motioned his head a little towards the direction McCoy has walked off, “were beamed up almost immediately after you lost consciousness. Spock, T’Aimnu and Cam came up in a later beam, unharmed. We quickly pulled out of the airspace. The ship took some damage, but there were no serious injuries, except for yours, and the ship has been repaired.” He attempted to catch her up. “You’ve been out for probably over four hours now. I assume you were in surgery for a good bit of that.” He could tell she was not 100% yet. “Is there anything I can get you?”

(No worries. Timeskip to maybe when she gets out of the med bay and Kirk stays the night? Or else she wouldn't get out?)
Abby nodded softly. Her brain didn't want to focus on anything in particular. "Um.. just some water." She asked, her voice barely working. "Glad everything worked out. Though 4 hours." She had a visibly hard time believing that time gap. "Sorry for bringing you into this." She frowned and murmured looking at James. She still wasn't happy at all with it.

(That works. You start?
I’ll write up the small plots I have. We can at least add them to the list for later us if nothing else.)
Jim nodded, letting go of her hand to go get water for her. He came back with the glass and held it out carefully, unsure if she’d be able to hold it. “It was a long 4 hours...” he muttered. The time had been stretched out in his head because he had been so worried. “You didn’t bring me into this. Cartwright did. You had nothing to do with that. He should’ve at least told us something about what we were headed into.”

(Sounds good.)
Abby was currently arguing with McCoy on when she could leave. This had begun about three hours after she had woken. She still didn't look the greatest, but she looked a lot better, if she was still a bit week.
"Commander Smith, the only way that would happen if someone stayed the rest of the nigth and day. If I hear another peep from you, you're not getting out of here for another 36 hours." Bones started, his doctor persona coming on line.
Abby slumped slowly back into the biobed, tired of being in Med Bay which of course accompanied a hiss of pain from fresh skin being stretched.

(Okay so I’m just gonna list off all the quasi plots I’ve got. Some may be able to tide us over I dunno. I may stop and come back and edit some more in if I decide to take a break.
The one probably most applicable to the current time would be just kinda like a catch up thing. So I have two separate plot ideas in a sense for this one, and it’s not completely formed in the least. Basically the difference is full group and like the three groups if that makes sense. So the full group one would be like the six come in for basically a debriefing of sorts, probably the morning after Kirk stays over. Like a ‘can we all collective decide on what the heck that was’ thing or something of that sorts. Abby and T’Aimnu share more information on their Section 31 involvement, since the others don’t know much about it. I feel this would be the shorter version of this plot, from what I’ve thought up, since it would be a little more just about Section 31. So if we are shooting for shorter, and want this idea, I’d go with this version and modify it however we need.
The other version would be more individualized and I have very loose ideas on this one, but more, if that makes sense? So it could be fit in during this same time. It’s like the couples I guess. I’m thinking we definitely stick with the Jim stays over with Abby, if we go with this. They talk about the mission, and about Abby’s connection with Section 31 and some of what she experienced. Kirk talks about like regrets during the mission or how he was blind sided by it. Basically they talk some things through. For Cam and McCoy, I’m thinking Cam does something completely stupid in Engineering and ends up in medbay. Like the equivalent of hitting a hammer to your hands because you’re not paying attention, yknow? Her mind’s still stuck on the guy she hit over the head on the mission, and she ends up there because of that. I wanted to make that weigh on her conscience anyways, whether we do this plot or not. Maybe they talk that over or something I dunno. If Kirk ends up staying over with Abby, I’m thinking Spock can’t get a hold of him, then finds T’Aimnu trying to find Abby as well and they get to talking? They talk about Section 31, but maybe also about their behaviors on the mission? This one would probably last longer, so if we were interested in this plot of overall debriefing on what happened and Section 31, but we want a longer version, I’d do this.
Some more plots that are not as related to the old plot are:
I was looking at the descriptions of The Orville episodes on Hulu and I got a couple of ideas without watching. One idea is based off the time capsule show, but maybe without the simulation thing off the cellphone. Just something simple. We could do a different time period. I don’t know how long this plot would be, I’d have to rewatch the episode, but it would be kinda simple and easy with the Enterprise just reacting to whatever’s in the capsule.
Another Orville idea could be something involving the simulator, like that one with Bortus, but absolutely nothing like that. Maybe the ship goes through some strange energy and the most recent simulations come to life. So there’s like Napoleon, a cowboy, and some weird alien animals all roaming around the ship. Somehow not as bad as what they’ve just gone through, but still pretty hectic.
I have like one and a half more but I’m gonna take a break because this took like 20 minutes.)

{So I like the first one. But do you have a preference between the two different versions?}

Jim listened to the two argue, not adding in much but the occasional ‘come on Bones’. When McCoy offered a possible way out, Kirk perked up a little. “I could stay with her.” He offered, looking at Bones, then briefly at Abby. “If that’s alright with you.” He looked back at McCoy, smiling now. “If anything happened, I’d contact medbay immediately. She needs her rest, you said it yourself. I always rest best in my room, I’m sure Abby’s no different. If anything happens on the bridge, Spock will be there, and he’ll let me know.” He paused, trying to get a feel on how well his argument was working. “You know how medbay is, Bones. It’s always got something going on. It’s hard to get a full nights rest here.” Kirk would know.

(I feel like it just matters on how much time we want to give to this plot. If we have any good plot ideas, or if we just want to get to something, I’d say the first version. If we don’t have any plots we are shooting for, I’d do the second one. I feel like we’ll get similar information from both, more mission based in the first one and more personal on the second. I feel like I’m lawyering out of this but I dunno lmao. I guess if I had to go with one id say the second one because I’m not vibing with the bigger plots I’m thinking up and I’d like more time.)

Bones sighed, not quite happy with the stunt that Jim was pulling. "Fine. But I am putting a biomonitor on her. The smallest change, I will run to her quarters and pull her back here, no ifs, ends and buts about it. I'll have Chapel help her change into pajamas that T'Aimnu brought by. No work for the next day or so I mean it. "
Within ten minutes, Chapel had come by, pushed Kirk out and helped Abby to change out of her hospital gown and into her pajamas. She still didn't look the greatest but at least had some color to her.
"I don't need to see you again unless something happened. You're still weak, don't over do it. And take a shower when you get the chance. You don't smell the best. We just got the blood off of you. Now vamoose and get out of the Med Bay." McCoy stated.
"Thanks doctor." Abby started to make her way to her room, but it was quite obvious that she still wasn't the most stable person yet.

(I’ll keep thinking up plots. I have another really rough idea and I’ll type that up too, but im uncertain of it even more than I was the others. Quarantine really suffocating my one creative brain cell or something smh.)
“Sounds good.” Jim nodded, glad his friend had finally given in. He left the room when Chapel came in, then came back in when McCoy did. He waited through the doctors orders, smiling still since his argument had worked. He walked out a little behind Abby. “Thanks Bones.” He turned back to his friend with a smile, then turned to Abby and noticed how unstable she was. He quickly covered the distance between the two. He then careful wrapped his arm around her, just under her own arms, in an attempt to stabilize her more. He looked at her, still smiling as they walked out. “You didn’t really think I’d leave you in medbay, did you? If nothing else, I would’ve ordered Bones to release you.” He joked, knowing that he wouldn’t actually have done that, and that the doctor probably wouldn’t have listened to him if he had. “Whew... you do smell.” He turned his head away, making a face as he did. Abby didn’t smell that awful, he was just trying to make her feel better.
(I can start with Cam and Spock if you’d like.)
