@stitchlover20 Can I ask you something about Thunderlight? You said he secretly poisoned the deputy. So I suppose the clan doesn't know about that. But what about when he killed the old leader? Did he do that in secret too or does the clan know what he did? Since the old leader was supposed to be bad the clan would probably somewhat understand it. Also, how does he think about the elders? Does he see them as useless or does he appreciate them for their knowledge, especially when it comes to strategy and fighting?

RiftClan Introduction
"Everyone who is old enough to catch their own prey, join around the High Stone for a clan meeting!"
Those words sent chills to your bones as every cat in the camp began to gather around the largest stone in the camp. Their leader, Thunderlight, stood with his head held high and his deputy sat to the right side of the stone as they waited for the clan to settle down. You watch as the older cats gather around while some helped the elders come out of the den to be able to hear the announcement. The kits who couldn't sit still enough to listen and couldn't understand what was going on were shooed back into the nursery by the queens. Their medicine cat and their apprentice sat at the mouth of the medicine cat den with the scent of herbs lingering behind them. You sat in the center of the crowd, right in front of the leader and deputy with your fellow apprentices sitting on each side of you. This had been the most anticipated day of their lives; to receive their warrior names and start their new role in the clan.
With a raise of their leader's tail, everyone quieted down and lifted their heads to look at him. "Our ancestors has been kind to us with healthy kits in the nursery and many of our apprentices here today ready to receive their full warrior name." Thunderlight swept his intense gaze amongst the cats before settling his eyes on the small group of apprentices that sat in front of him. "Each one of you has trained hard to become a warrior and to survive in our territory. We thank each of your mentor for showing you the way of our Ancestors and bringing you up as valuable warriors."
Murmurs of agreement spread throughout the clan before becoming quiet once more. You watched as Thunderlight continued the ceremony with giving each cat their new warrior name and touching his nose to their head. When it was your turn, your body trembled with excitement as he leaned down to touch your head before stepping back to examine the newly named warriors. "Now that you're all warriors, it is time to continue with our traditions and send you to the peak of the mountain to mark your legacy." Your eyes glowed with excitement as each of the newly named warriors made their way out of camp with Thunderlight in the lead. These traditions is what made you proud to be a RiftClan cat.

RiftClan Camp
The whole camp is surrounded by a thicket of large ferns and above are tree limbs that often shelter the clan from the sun. A large stone that is held up by smaller rocks near the center of camp is called the High Stone where leaders make their announcements to the clan. Beneath the stone where the rocks hold it up is where the Leader's Den is. The opening is closed off by lichen for privacy and a nest on the inside to the far side for the leader to sleep. It has enough room for multiple cats to be in there at once if the leader ever needs to hold a private meeting. At the far end of the camp is a thicket of fern bushes with an opening is where the Nursery is. Inside there are multiple nests made with moss and soft material for queens who are with kits. Next to the nursery is the Warriors' Den which is another thicket of ferns with patches of long grass sprouting on each side of it. The Apprentice Den is on the other side of the Nursery in a fern thicket much smaller than the Warriors' Den. On the other side of the camp is fallen tree limbs which makes the Elder's Den. They covered cracks in between the limbs with bracken to keep the inside dry for the elders. Near the Elder's Den is a large boulder with a large crack down it which leads inside to the Medicine Cat Den. Inside there's different nests laid out for any sicks cats and holes in the rock to store herbs in. At the back of the den is a small dip in the ground which collects water from rain and the Medicine Cat uses it for helping cats.

- clan attributes - SummitClan cats are known for quite a few traits. Having to survive in the harsh climate of the upper mountains, the majority of cats have very long and dense fur. Their pelts come in a large variety of colors, however, browns, greys, and whites are more common. While there seems to be no real distinguished trend when it comes to tabbies or solid color pelts, more complex colorations like tortoiseshells are rare. SummitClan members also tend to be larger than their RiftClan and GrottoClan counterparts, with massive paws and tough pads for walking on the cold rock.
Cats of SummitClan value honor and cooperation above all else. While originally banished alongside [cat]'s rebels, instead of chasing after revenge, they chose to stay and make their home on the upper half of the mountain- facing off with bitter temperatures and large predators. Because of the danger of their territory, the don't believe that every cats needs to be able to survive on their own. In fact, most of the cats would scoff at the majority of RiftClan traditions. Apprentices aren't allowed to leave camp without a warrior guide, and even warriors are suggested to take a partner with them anytime they wander the territory.
Much like their territory, SummitClan is always changing. With new leadership comes new rules, whether it be about traveling alone, new hunting restrictions, and more. However, variety and change is part of what makes SummitClan so durable to their dangerous territory. They are adaptable, always preparing for the next danger, and never stop improving, whether it be living conditions, hunting skills, or battle strategies.
Because of their origin, SummitClan has a reputation for being cowardly and frivolous among the other clans. However, the cats place a strong value on honor and logic, believing that running away from a battle is equivalent to loosing it. The only acceptable reasoning for retreat is if it puts to many other cats besides oneself at risk of death or serious injury.
SummitClan cats believe that because they are the clan located closest to The Haze that they have the strongest connection to their ancestors and the Eternal Lights. Many of their burial traditions reflect this belief.
When it comes to strangers such as rogue and loners, SummitClan is a bit out of their depth. They rarely ever see travelers in the mountain peaks, and if they did they would be rather suspicious of said cat. However, because of their lack of experience with outsiders, they also wouldn't be openly hostile as they have not yet had a rogue try to actively harm the clan. |

Moons ago, the medicine cats of SummitClan, RiftClan, and GrottoClan all received a vague prophecy warning of an upcoming danger and the cats who were destined to save the clans. Cats, not yet born, but told to come from "blood of Gold", or blood of the clan leaders as many speculate. Thus the prophecy kits were believed to be the children of a clan leader. However, this is where the story blurs. Each medicine cat saw a vision of their own clan leader during the prophecy, and no one knows which clan the prophecy kits will be born into. For a long time, the clans sat in anticipation waiting for another sign, or for kits to be born, or for anything to happen. Their answer- a murder.
Ashbird, the SummitClan deputy and mate to the leader, was found dead on the lower mountain border all three clans shared. The motive was clear- to stop possible kits from being born in SummitClan, but the murderer was a mystery. In reaction- Screechlight of SummitClan declared war on both RiftClan and GrottoClan, pledging not to forge a peace treaty until the killer of Ashbird came forward.
When the prophecy kits are born (littersizes around 3 from each clan, kin/children of leaders), they are welcomed into a world of violence and war, and are told from the moment they open their eyes that they are destined for greatness.
The rp will begin just before the murder of Ashbird to establish prewar relations between clans and cats. After the murder we will have a significant timeskip to a few moons in the future after all the kits from the prophecy have been born.
^^ major plot for all 3 clans, feel free to add things for your individual clans as well, but there's also a minor plot section for inter-clan drama! |

I would assume he did it in secretly or maybe a select few saw? Which makes him paranoid of them betraying him as well. I definitely think he doesn't trust the elders since they might not have appreciated him or something Ideas are great though XD I'm stuck at moment |

I love RiftClan's introduction! And SummitClan's attributes makes them such a great clan. I'm so looking forward to this! I would assume he did it in secretly or maybe a select few saw? So let's say a selected few saw him killing the old leader... It would make sense for him to keep those cats close. If they're still loyal too him, awesome. And if they're not, well he can keep an eye on them. Either way, things are going to be interesting in RiftClan.

Oh, and as for RiftClan's attributes. So far we have their potential hostility towards outsiders and the fact that they value independence. What else could they value? How do the other clans view them? What, in their opinion, makes them better than the other clans? Maybe that's something you could work with.

mmmmmmmmm me and drea are also throwing together another page with history (still need to refine that ope), traditions, and "extra information" (tracking seasons & weather, prey & predators), etc so don't forget about that stuff as well. Do we need to work on a draft for our clans now that we have the coding? Just want to make sure before I do anything with it. I know traditions I'll write up, but are the prey and predators different for each clan as well? Like I can see eagles or something of the sorts being a prey and predator for SummitClan, but not so much as RiftClan. Would GrottoClan only have a selected amount of prey since they're always under ground? I didn't want to put mountain lion for a predator if they only appear in SummitClan as well. |

I love RiftClan's introduction! And SummitClan's attributes makes them such a great clan. I'm so looking forward to this! I would assume he did it in secretly or maybe a select few saw? I can see it being a side plot actually. A few cats either helped or witnessed the killing (both can happen) which causes them to be loyal due to fear or agreeing to what he did. There may be those like you said who disagree and now are walking around egg shells because he might go after them next if they step out of line. It could be them trying to get the other clan mates to side with them to make a huge split between the clan which causes more of an uproar with the war with the two clans. |

Kind of all over the place and not concrete Appearance - A variety of cats with different color pelts and markings that help blend into their surroundings since there's more color due to leafs. Longer legs to climb and jump into trees which a lot of their territory. Sharper and longer claws due to them being untrusting and want to have them in case of a fight while also helpful for climbing. Maybe have slim bodies to maneuver through the thick forest, rocks, etc. White cats are more rare (not sure of other colors) Overall Clan Personality - Due to the rebellion in their own clan long time ago, the cats in RiftClan are very hostile towards the other two clans. They aren't welcoming to outsiders who stray into their land and immediately chase them out or bring them back to camp to be questioned by their leader. Trust and hardship are values RiftClan values the most, knowing they must trust one another to be able to survive together. They value hard work among their clan mates to keep the place safe. Mentors push their apprentices until exhaustion to be the best and there's many border patrols to keep an eye on their land. They honor cats who are independent; going out hunting on their own without being asked and doing daily patrols separately. They believe being independent makes them stronger as a clan and shows they can survive even without others to help. There are times apprentices can go out on their own to train without their mentors and cats are free to roam without a partner. View on Clans - RiftClan has been rumored to be cold hearted and cruel in battles, killing without much of a reason. They view SummitClan to be air heads who have been up in the clouds for too long and will probably die off. They believe GrottoClan is cowards who live underground in shame of what they did in the past and are weaklings. View on Ancestors - RiftClan takes their traditions very seriously and holds pride in what they do to honor their ancestors. They believe their ancestors chose them to be the strongest clan to someday rule the whole territory. If someone goes against the traditions or ancestors, they may banish said cats for the act. |

Would be a good thing to know for anyone who plays a prophecy kit. |

Pineclaw i know that in summitclan, the kits are going to be from one of screechlight's siblings (from a younger litter ideally), though screechlight is going to have kits of his own that everyone assumes are the prophecy kits.
