SummitClan - a male apprentice, no sense of smell. Tries his hardest during training and hones his other senses as best as he can. He can be stubborn and defensive and doesn't take failure well, it makes him want to train even harder. Very afraid of being seen as a burden by his clan. Has a quick mind and a good grasp of concept. bisexual biromantic. Wolfpaw/-cry, song, heart or claw. Brother to Crumblepaw
- a female warrior, dissatisfied with Screechlight's leadership. Has a hard time respecting him or those close to him and isn't afraid of voicing her doubts. As a young warrior however she isn't always taken seriously. Usually soft-spoken but can be snarky when the leader is acting particularly stupid.Rainsong. 14 moons.
tunnel clan - a male warrior, not too happy about the war between the clans but too loyal to his leader to voice his opinions. When he's not busy doing warrior-duties he likes to wander off. He loves the parts of the tunnels where light shines in, especially how mysterious it can look at times. Can be a bit of a dreamer and a mystic. He enjoys giving meaning to the most mundane things. Darkwhisper. 21 moons. - a female apprentice, very eager to prove herself. Only feels safe in the tunnels and doesn't function too well outside because of her agoraphobia. She isn't quite sure of how she feels about the war but whether her clan is right or not, she's loyal to it and will fight anyone who stands against it. homosexual homoromantic. Dustpaw/-fall. 7 moons.
RiftClan - a male kit, prophecy kit, starts out sweet and friendly, becomes arrogant as an apprentice or warrior. By then he believes that everything will work out in the end and that he doesn't have to listen to anyone's advice since he's been chosen by their ancestors. He'll also be convinced that he and his littermates are more important than other cats and if his clanmates die in battle, well that's just how it's meant to be, those cats are meant to protect him and the other chosen ones after all. He changes his attitude after someone close to him dies either to protect him or because of his bad choices. Only then he'll realize that his clanmates aren't worth any less than he is. demisexual panromantic. Brightkit/-paw/-night.  - an nb warrior, formerly known for their loud and slightly annoying attitude, now silent around most. Doesn't want to challenge or offend Thunderlight, by accident or on purpose. Doesn't cope well with the change in RiftClan and doesn't trust many cats. Still, they follow the warrior code and fight fiercely for their clan. They're angry at the SummitClan leader Screechlight for declaring war on everyone. Silenthowl. pansexual panromantic. - a female elder, despises the other two clans and demonizes them whenever she's telling stories to the kits. Very friendly and understanding towards her clanmates. She also worries about RiftClan's future, especially now that Thunderlight is leader. She never says so in front of the kits and apprentices but is willing to talk about it with any warrior who may be afraid of the current state of their clan. heterosexual aromantic. Embermask. 109 moons. Tried to find some references. Rainsong obviously needs longer fur. Maybe I can find a better reference for her. Or I leave it as it is and just say her fur is longer than in the picture.

These are just ideas I have but can change them if needed SummitClanMosspaw / Apprentice / Female Mosspaw doesn't agree with the war that's going on and wishes all the clans would work together to find the murderer. She tries her best to follow the rules, but won't lay a paw on another cat who she believes is innocent. There are time she may help another clan cat in secret... Skyrunner / Warrior / Male Skyrunner is very loyal to his clan and tries his best to help in any way possible. Whatever it is his leader tells him to do he'll do it since he takes the Warrior Code to heart especially how the leader's word is law. RiftClanThunderlight / Leader / Male Thunderlight has a hard time taking "no" for an answer. He becomes aggressive if one of his warriors or apprentices doesn't do what he says and may lash out. Whenever he sees a different clan cat in their territory, he'll attack them without talking first and severely hurts them to show a lesson to the clans. The only reason he became leader was because he secretly poisoned the deputy then killed his former leader to reach to the top. He takes training over the edge and even has kits training (think Brokenstar..) Snowstep / Warrior / Female
 Snowstep is scared of the clan she dwells in now. She stays as far away as she can from the leader and anyone else who may be on his side. Sometimes she wonders if she should run away to other clans, but is scared they'll run her out. All she wants is the war to be other and she can live safely in her own home. Sandpaw / Apprentice / Female Sandpaw has a sharp tongue for someone her age and she can get into trouble talking back to a warrior. She enjoys leaving camp and exploring, even going to the other clans' territory to see what they have. She's fierce and likes to show off. TunnelClanLongwhisker / Warrior / Male Longwhisker is very shy and enjoys being alone than with other cats. He worries other cats might think he's weird as he just observes his clan rather than interact with them. He becomes a stuttering goof when anyone talks to him and starts making mistakes if he's in a patrol. Volepaw / Apprentice / Female Volepaw is a hyper cat who messes around during patrols or anything important due to her lack of concentration. Ones might find her playing with a bug or a rock to entertain herself. She's very sweet and loves to talk to her fellow clan mates. |

oooo they all look so cool and mosspaw is such a sweetheart!
it might be interesting with thunderlight to start him when he was still partially a good cat and make him make more and more harsh/evil moves as the war drags on? like he still could have murdered the old leader but what if the old leader was terrible and a danger to the clan? that way his death could be seen as a way to save riftclan, not just as a way for thunder to get power. then maybe as the war/his leadership drags on he gets more and more paranoid of the same thing happening to him so he starts training kits younger so that they're loyal to him/the clan as a whole rather than their families/kin. maybe he could even outcast (or execute, tho that's a bit dark) deputies and loyal cats he thinks are planning to overthrow him? and he can be so hostile with cats from other clans because while on their own he doesn't believe a cat could take him in battle, if a traitor allied themselves with another clan they might have a chance. idk its up to you tho.

These are just my basic rules for all my rps, i figured we might want to go through and add/edit some of them.
Literacy. For this rp we aren't going to stress line or word counts. Inspiration comes when it comes, and we understand that sometimes you are low on muse and can't write much. However, we do ask that you avoid posting"one-liners" and that you try to use correct spelling and grammar in all your posts. Naturally, a few slip ups here and there aren't the end of the world, just make sure what you're posting in clear, and feel free to go back and edit posts if you notice major mistakes. What matters is that you are advancing the plot or conversation with whatever you write, not writing a giant paragraph that contributes nothing. Please avoid using "text talk" and abbreviations in your posts unless you are talking OOC. If you are talking out of character, please make sure to indicate it in someway, whether it be brackets, parenthesis, or a different method.
Activity. In terms of activity we ask that you post at least three times a week, four if you have an important role. These should not simply be chat posts, and if you are actively communicating but neglecting an rp post we will ask you to try and respond rather than chat. If you are missing without notice for over a week, one of the leaders will send you a notification prompting you to return. If you do not respond to that prompt within a week you will be removed from the rp. If you want to leave the rp, please send us a message and we can discuss what to do with your characters. If you are going on a trip or can't meet the full activity limit for a long period of time, please reach out to one of the leaders and we will put you on hiatus until you can return.
Relationships. We ask that you keep all romance in this rp pg. LGBT+ characters will be allowed and any hate and intolerance out of rp will not be tolerated. When joining with characters that are related to another person’s in some way, please make sure to ask them if it is okay first. This is especially important when it comes to mates as no one wants their characters to be thrown into a relationship without being asked first.
Rp Basics. When rping please follow all Forum Regulations and Rules. Please do not power-play or god-mod either.

yeah that was the one thing i was thinking about adding. i know in the past i've included "joining" rules which are like for every apprentice/kit you have, make a warrior; try to keep genders relatively even; and like don't claim more than x important roles. maybe i haven't been in fanclans for a while, but do people still try to join with every important role? i know for summitclan the important roles are: a medicine cat (no apprentice), prophecy kits, fake prophecy kits, and the leader's new mate (after ashbird dies). I was planning on picking the new deputy after seeing how active people are and such, but i feel like it would be reasonable for a person to have like 2 of those roles in the clan (like medicine cat and a prophecy kit). However if we want the rule to apply across clans it does get more tricky. like say we put our limit at like 4 important roles across all 3 clans (which i don't think anyone will really reach, but idk?). Then technically a person could choose all those 4 from one clan, which would seem excessive. But if we limited it to like 2 between all three then idk that feels limiting too. its just a bit complicated, but we can certainly find a way to work it out.

Oh well, how could anyone forget that legend of a fanfic? 
I don't know how other fanclans handle these things aside from ForestClan and MyrtleClan. And the former didn't really have a such limit. It might not be necessary. I think the people around here are reasonable enough to not claim all the important roles. Still, 2 important cats per clan sounds like a good rule. I think it would make sense to add it. |

Joining. When joining with new characters we have a few guidelines we ask you to follow. First please limit yourself to 2 important roles per clan. These roles include deputies, prophecy kits, medicine cats (and apprentices), and other plot important characters. If you are unsure if a role is important, feel free to ask. This does not apply to advancement in a characters rank, like if a warrior becomes the new deputy. We also ask that when joining when an apprentice or kit that you make a warrior as well to try and make sure there are plenty of mentors and that the clan isn't overrun by kits. Finally please try to keep genders relatively even within the clan.

Nah, I think the bolded part is fine. Unless anyone here has any objections to it the joining rules are good as they are.
The only thing left to list among the rules would be forbidden prefixes and suffixes. You know, Light, Haze and the clannames. And maybe also a list of prefixes that are already taken for each clan. But we only need that once the rp actually starts, right?

alrighty yeah. for the names i usually have a list going on the joining page, and i can include forbidden prefixes/suffixes there. did we want to limit prefixes to like 2 in the same clan, or like 3 overall? idk i just don't want there to be like 20 'Ash-'s ya know?
speaking of pages tho i was thinking we'd have: 1 rp page for each clan (so 3 total), a joining page, a shared border and haze page? does that work?

alright chill
ideally i'd love to have them up and running by this weekend but i know drea works at a grocery store so she's been working a bunch of hours (hence why she hasn't been on much). i'm aiming to finish coding tomorrow so we can work on organizing that information and making sure we have everything done that we need. so anytime between saturday-tuesday is what i think we should be aiming for.

Not that I'm not curious about the camps but there's still enough time xD And I made another cat for RiftClan. Since my only cats there are a prophecy kit and an elder and I still need a warrior. I think they (yup, they're nb) would be a really quiet one, only talking to a selected few. Could be a result of the change in RiftClan, this cat is a little too careful to not accidentally challenge or offend Thunderlight. Was very loud as a kit and apprentice and was called Howlkit/-paw for it. Their warrior name, however, is Silenthowl for their change in attitude and as a reminder of their louder, kinda annoying self back then. They don't hate the other clans but they have little to no sympathy for SummitClan because of Screechlight. While they don't like the war at all Silenthowl is a fierce fighter and shows more aggression towards SummitClan (since Screechlight is responsible for the war) than towards Tunnelclan.
Maybe some clanmates distrust them for their silence towards most. Or not, that's up to all of you. |

Well would you look at that, it's Thursday already. I think I'm losing track of time, what with not having much to do these days. I mean, yesterday I was actually surprised that it was Wednesday xD
Anyway, anything else we need to discuss? I added a bit more to my characters' personalities and in Brightkit's case a bit about his planned character progression. If anyone has a RiftClan cat and plans to kill them off at some point maybe they could be Brightnight's friend, love-interest or former mentor xD Then again I guess it won't be easy for anyone to like him since he becomes arrogant and self-important either as Brightpaw or as Brightnight. You know, what with thinking he doesn't need anyone's advice just because he's a prophecy cat. And that anyone who's not a prophecy cat is dispensable. Sure, he doesn't think that about anyone he cares about but I don't think they would accept his mindset.

Oh! Also! lazy penguin @stitchlover20 if you guys had like a color in mind for your coding, hmu! I'll probably use more pastels since those look better with the base I have, but like if you guys have a preference for the upper and lower clans just let me know! I'll most likely use purples or blue for the tunnel babies
