"I'm not sure if we can kill Invictus permanently," Avocato stated calmly. "But I bet killing the guy it's inside of will stop it from posing much of a threat to anyone. We just can't be near it when it's released or it could possess one of us. All this is assuming we can get all his ground punching and energy ball stuff out of the scenario. If I got a gun, I'd be able to handle him then."
"I've got a gun you can use!" Little Cato exclaimed, slinging the rifle off his shoulder. "I made a few modifications to it so I could shoot you without killing you, but they should be pretty easy to reverse." He handed the weapon to Avocato, who looked over and adjusted the modifications, increasing the energy levels of each shot of the rifle, essentially re-enabling it to fire deadly shots.
"Not bad." He stated quietly as he placed a cover back over the inner mechanisms of the rifle. "You've gotten resourceful. Almost as good as me." Avocato teased.
"Please. I passed you years ago."
Avocato turned back to Dazai. "How are we doing this?"

(I figured we'd keep him alive. Just kinda using Avocato's "at all cost" mentality for protecting his son. He was perfectly fine with letting the Earth be destroyed, along with billions of people dying as long as he could save his son, so I figured he'd be looking for more of a permanent solution to the Invictus problem. What I was thinking was that Avocato gets beat by Chuuya, and Chuuya is essentially about to kill Little Cato and Ash freaks out. Does that sound good to you?)

(that works for me!) The thrall of Invictus was no more than a whisper to him now, Chuuya having chosen to risk death channeling the god Arahabaki rather than lose to Invictus. He might at least die as something closer to himself, he’d thought. But there wasn’t much thinking, just chaos guiding his hands, tensed at his side as he warped the space around him. Whenever he’d used his Corrupted form before, there was an external target. And the only one for him now was the group of people standing outside the battlefield. Laughing, he took a slow step in their direction, the hard earth crumbling easily beneath his feet. -- Dazai was a skilled strategist, though he usually had more time to think than this. His gaze darted to Avocato, who seemed to be acting as authority for the others. “Here’s the thing. If we leave him using Corruption, it’ll end up killing him anyway, if that’s the goal.” He narrowed his eyes, as Chuuya began his approach.
“But I don’t know if we can hold him off until then. It would be hard to overestimate this guy’s abilities.” If they attacked, Chuuya would retaliate with even more intense power. He could easily nullify Chuuya’s powers, as that was his own ability, but it seemed Invictus would then take over Chuuya when he was vulnerable. "How powerful are those weapons?"

"It's strong enough to put a hole in his skull, if that's what your asking." Avocato assured. His gaze darted to Chuuya, who's gaze was fixed on them. "But if he's as powerful as you say, I'm not sure we'd even be able to touch him with this thing. You two would have to distract him so I could take a shot without giving him a chance to react."
Ash approached from behind, floating about a foot off the ground. "I can help, too. Just tell me where you need me."
"Alright." Avocato said, turning his head to look at Ash. Peering back at Dazai. "It's up to you. You in?"

“Daazaiii-!” Chuuya cried, fixating on his target now, any flashes of Invictus’s influence quickly smothered by Arahabaki’s power. His blank eyes narrowed, looking toward Avocato now. Perhaps Invictus recognized its former host. He threw one of the black holes into the air, as if just for fun, as it pulled up dirt and debris from the earth around him. -- Dazai rested a hand on his hip. He normally carried around a handgun, but even Chuuya’s normal form could manipulate the gravity around any bullet fired at him, and even return it towards the shooter. He looked over to Avocato, and sighed. “At least let me deal the killing blow, won’t you?”

Avocato gave him a quizzical look. "Do you even know how to fire one of these?" He asked critically, an eyebrow raised. After a moment, he tossed the rifle to him. "Whatever. Just don't miss. We'll only have one chance to catch him off guard. If he realizes what we're up to, we're dead." He turned to his son and knelt down on his knee. "I Just want you to know that, whatever happens here, I'm proud of you."
"Thanks, dad." Little Cato responded with a smile. "Now let's go tear this guy a new one."
(I'm thinking Dazai misses or chuuya catches on before he takes the shot, Avocato gets hurt, Chuuya's going for the kill on Little Cato and Ash gets her supernatural on and exorcises Invictus. sound good?)

(that works. I think what i’ll do is have dazai accidentally catch chuuya’s attention, before he can even take the shot.) Dazai sighed, taking the weapon in his hands. Surely, he could figure it out. It was just a gun, after all. “No, but I’m the only one that knows the raging shrimp over there. That should be enough to qualify me.” He took a couple steps to get a clearer shot, glancing back at the father and son for a moment. “Mm. How touching.”
“Now, Chuuya,” he said, talking more to himself than anyone. “I’ve wanted to do this for a long time.” He lifted the rifle up slightly, eyeing the machinery to make some sense of it before he fired -- But Chuuya turned his head away from his latest explosion towards the group, at first just surveying them with his blank eyes. Something in him not only recognized Dazai again, but recognized the type of instrument his former Mafia partner held in his hands. However science-fiction it looked, a rifle was a rifle. Chuuya paused, then laughed loudly, crazed. The crimson aura around him pulsed even stronger. “Dazai,” he growled, fists clenched as he walked towards him purposefully, wicked grin on his face as his steps sent cracks through the earth with the power of their gravity. Dazai and the others would make tasty prey for Arahabaki’s destruction. His stride broke into a run, gravitons drawn in towards his palms, as those small black holes started to form again. He thought only of killing them.

Avocato looked to see Chuuya eyeing Dazai. "This isn't going to work." He muttered to his son. "If this goes south, I want you to get as far away from here as possible. You hear me?"
"No." Little Cato replied. "I'm not running. I've lost you too many times already. I'm not going to let die for me again. I never wanted that. Now let's kill this prick so we can get out of this dump."
Avocato nodded. "Well, I'll try to distract him, but he seems pretty focused on stopping whoever has the rifle. Start handing me rocks." With that, Avocato released a few volleys of small rocks at Chuuya. "Hey! Look over here, ya humanoid trash!"

(so...i hope you'll forgive me if it's not great, lol. getting back into the groove) Dazai clucked his tongue, the rifle unsteady in his hands. Otherwise, he seemed unusually unbothered. In fact, he smiled to himself. “Ah, Chuuya...oops.”
If I touch him, I can nullify the gravity manipulation, he thought. But I probably can’t do anything about that thing Invictus.
He attempted to fire, a couple of times, but he wasn’t used to a gun quite like this, and his shots were easily dodged. -- It may have been the rifle that Invictus was after, but Chuuya would have gone for Dazai anyway. And Arahabaki was simply pleased to destroy Chuuya drew his hand back as he ran full speed toward his target, ready to blast him, when Avocato’s taunts drew away his focus. Whipping his head to face the Ventrexian, Chuuya laughed. This is too much fun now.Even easier prey, for sure. He ran for Avocato now, certain he could destroy him without much trouble.

As Chuuya turned towards the two of them, Little Cato looked at his dad. "What now?" He asked.
Avocato turned back to his son. "I don't know. I didn't think that far ahead." He turned back to face Chuuya. Speaking out the side of his mouth, Avocato added. "As soon as he makes a move, get ready to run."
Ash was watching from a little ways behind, but wasn't sure where to jump in. She didn't want to mess up whatever plan Avocato probably had, so she waited for a moment where she was needed.

Hey, sorry for not responding. I didn't get a notification at all. Yeah, maybe Avocato gets hurt, which could carry over into the next section of the Rp, and Ash joins the fight, Chuuya tries to kill Little Cato and Ash freaks out and banishes him. Then dazai does his thing and we move on to the next section.)

(Uh sure? Honestly, me and falcon are the only ones left standing atm. It might be kinda hard fitting you in at the possision the characters are in right now, but I'd be willing to add in a another character to fit you in. Would you like a rundown of what's going on right now?)

Ash was watching from a little ways behind, but wasn't sure where to jump in. She didn't want to mess up whatever plan Avocato probably had, so she waited for a moment where she was needed. Chuuya summoned a ball of gravitons into his palm, though his movements were erratic as the entities within him still battled for control. He gave a twisted laugh, tossing the tiny black hole in Avocato's direction. You'll die, rifle-wielder. And then I'll kill the good-for-nothing bastard, Dazai.-Well. If Invictus is that powerful, maybe we don't have a chance, thought Dazai, slowwwly stepping away from the scene. As much as he'd love to see his rival fall apart like this, he knew he'd be prey first, and it wouldn't be a painless death. So he watched from further away, planning to flee if things came to it. (i think the black hole maybe could miss and hit the ground in front of avocato or something, instead of hitting him and spaghettifying him instantly, lol)

(sorry for the poof. I started writing a reply on my phone in the Zaxby's drive through and then my food came and it kinda got abandoned. I'm on my computer now so I'll be able to reply faster. Also, if I add in a new character,it's probably gonna be Gary, Little Cato's adoptive father from before Avocato was back. Also in a legendary brolationship with Avocato. (and yes, it's bro, it isn't a typo.) Maybe H.U.E. at some point too, cause he's just a little robot with no purpose anymore. He was a ship A.I. but the ship got blown up so he transferred himself into a garbage collection bot.)
Avocato squinted as an explosion erupted in front of him, sending chunks of moist soil flying into the air. He jumped over the newly formed crater and charged Chuuya. Without a weapon, the Ventrexian was at a serious disadvantage. As he neared, he dipped a hand down and scooped up a small clump of dirt. When he was in range, he hurled the dirt at Chuuya's face, aiming to blind him, at least temporarily.
Little Cato grabbed a rock off the ground. If he could at least distract Chuuya, his dad could possibly be able to beat him. He hurled it as fast as he could towards Chuuya, but watched as it sailed past him. He scooped up a few more rocks, determined to help his father.
(just giving Chuuya a reason to go after LC after he's finished with Avocato.)

(alright, i think he's just gonna immobilize avocato for now, if that's ok? then we can move onto the next bit)
Chuuya grinned, able to manipulate the dirt itself once it was close enough to him. The gravity broke the clod into dust, and he ran at Avocato, fairly close now, taking a leap and moving to tackle him to the earth. In the back of the mind of whatever entity could seize control of him, Chuuya sensed the rocks being flung his way, but they hardly impeded his attack.

Chuuya's blitz took Avocato by surprise. His eyes widened as Chuuya collided with him, slamming them both into the ground. As Avocato hit the ground, a loud crunch was audible and a sharp pain erupted in his side. The two rolled on the ground a moment, being carried by Chuuya's momentum. Avocato managed to wrench himself free from Chuuya's grasp during their sprawl, but he struggled to push himself on his hands and knees. He tenderly probed his wound, but winced as he felt a protrusion from underneath his skin. From past experience he knew it was a broken rib, maybe more than one. He slowly pushed himself to his feet, but the pain was almost too much to bear. I can't go on like this. Avocato thought.
Little cato watched as his father staggered back to his feet, but noticed something was wrong. He saw that Avocato was favoring his side, careful not to move too much. "Guess it's on me, then." He muttered to himself. He charged at Chuuya, his feet barely even touching the ground before taking another bound.
