Fatid smiled a little. "I dunno. I've never really thought about preferences because no one's ever wanted to try their luck with me. I know you don't say it to me, but I'm ugly. I just am. At the very least I'm simply not attractive." He sighed as they walked inside. "I assume you've dated or something already? Cooked around?"

Cally snorted, “so then don’t talk about my kind like that.” She joked. The girl then frowned and looked to Fatid sternly, “hey, don’t talk about yourself like that. No one should ever talk so lowly of themselves.” She scolded. The brunette huffed, “and to answer your second question, no I have not. Well, never a serious relationship at least. My longest relationship was a few months. I guess I just never found the right match.”

Fatid shrugged, lazily looking around the store. "Well, you're more likely to find someone than me. Even if it's not a human. Maybe try your luck when we get to Crystalline. Lots of... liberal folk there, humans and monsters alike." He snorted at the thought. "Just... don't get caught alone by any sort of dog monster, cause they most likely work for Al. Al Canine dabbles in all markets and trade. All of them. If one of his gang catches a random human like you alone, who knows where they'll end up." The best case was they were bought as servants or even pets. The worst case is they were sold to scientists or butchers.

“I’ll make sure to find you a beautiful honey, just you wait.” Cally joked. But when he said the second thing she hesitated. She knew what could happen to her. She stepped closer to her new monster friend, “I-I won’t then. I’ll make sure to never be alone in a room with any monster..” she looked up at Fatid, “except for you.” Though to be honest, she didn’t fully trust the monster, as she knew many were very deceiving and patient.

Fatid scoffed at her first response. "That'll be the day hell freezes over." He then tilted his head, saying "Well, I just said dogs in Crystalline. For all you know, you could find company with who knows what, though that's none of my business honestly." It was probably best Cally be cautious. "Come on, go look at the bags or whatever. The shopkeep is looking at us funny."

Cally listened to him before nodding obediently. She then made her way over to the bags, checking each one to see if they would be a good fit. She then chose one which looked to be on the cheaper side, yet still exactly what she would need. She then went over to the checkout and spoke with the monster there.

Fatid waited patiently, looking around the store as Cally paid for her bag at the front. When she was done, he then said "Alright, anywhere else you need to go? Or just want to go look around?" Maybe she'd come across something she'd need. Fatid was tempted to go find a drink somewhere though, perhaps before he called it a night.

Cally shook her head, “let’s just look around. Explore a little maybe?” She suggested as she put the pack on. She then looked up at Fatid, “is there anything you’d like to do while we’re out. All day it’s just kind of been what I needed to do.” She asked

Fatid shook his head. "I was just gonna head to the Greenclaw Pub later. Their Snowpea brew is pretty good." He shrugged a little. "I don't need too much in terms of supplies. I store my money on my person and buy things when I need them." His tentacle arms quivered, a few turning and reaching into the base of the mass to pull out a few gold coins and even a purple gem shard, two of the multiple acceptable currencies, for a sneak peak. "It's not like I don't have methods of payment. One perk of looking and acting like I do gets me things for free sometimes though. If you drink, you should let me buy you something."

Cally gazed at the coins and gem shard before saying, “that’s actually really smart.” She said. The brunette then nodded, “I do drink. But I’m somewhat of a lightweight. I’d love to have a drink with you though if you’ll have me.” She said with a smile.

Fatid nodded when she mentioned being a lightweight. "Then stay away from Snowpea and Black Lotus brews." Those took out lightweights in moments. He led her to the pub, passing by all types of folk. Getting to the place, he let Cally go first. Full of tougher-looking monsters, but they didn't cast Cally a glance as Fatid found them a spot at the bar, the tank deciding to stand due to weight. The Skipples running the bar walked up and asked them what they wanted, flaming "hair" flickering harmlessly. (You can make stuff up on the fly if u want whenever in rp when it comes to anything besides species x3 For species just relay a little info at some point x3) (Oh, and Skipples example)

Cally sat down by the bar, still not being anywhere near Fetid’e height, even with the extra height. She looked like a little kids as her feet didn’t touch the floor as she sat. The brunette ordered a drink that she was already familiar with before looking to Fatid to see what he’d want. She felt her gaze wander towards the other monsters, but she mainly kept her gaze focused on her hands as she thought.

Fatid went with that Snowpea drink he mentioned earlier. He then looked as the Skipples said "Your human friend is clearin' out soon, right? Haven't you heard?" Fatid grunted, asking "Heard about what?" The pudgy squirrel said "They don't come round much, but some trappers will be comin' by tomorrow, probably at night, all sneaky. Not even we know what they look like, but it's what I heard."

Cally looked a little worried but said, “we’ll be sure to leave before dark.” Though the sun was already setting. She looked to Fatid, “I can get a head start to the inn and you can stay out and relax if you’d like.”

Fatid grunted. "I'll probably just wander around, see if I can listen in on anything interesting. I'll meet you back at the room later." He then looked as they were given their drinks, the Skipples saying "Yeah, just be gone by tomorrow night. Trapping is technically not supposed to be done, but it makes money so people do it."

“We’ll be gone by then. We’re just waiting for my sword and armor to be made back at the Smith.” She said before beginning to drink her drink. “And tell me if you hear anything interesting, okay?”

Fatid nodded. "I will." He tossed a few gold coins to the Skipples, who thanked him before going about his work. Fatid drank from his larger cup, sighing in content. "Have you traveled much? With your family or for the job or something?" Some hunters covered a lot of ground to get to their target after all.

Cally nodded, “my family loved to travel. But we never came here for some reason. I’ve also traveled for the job, but never too far. And our target never seemed to be near much civilization at the time.” She explained, “if I had been with my team when I ran into you, you most likely wouldn’t be here anymore.” She said, “I may not be a killer, but my friends always seemed to become heartless during the kill. You kind of have to be.”

Fatid shrugged. "I'm not the strongest monster around." He then snorted. "This is why it's good to travel in three-man cells. Trios of monsters are the least likely to get unlike an individual or even pairs. Four or more is just too clumsy of a group. It also just depends on the individual. I doubt your hunter friends would take on someone like Uriel." Even though almost everyone thought him to be more of a myth than Ragnarok.

Calmly shook her head, “oh no definitely not. That’s more for the real professionals if anyone.” She said. “And you may not be the most powerful, but you’re at least strong enough to provide some good protection and to intimidate other monsters.”

Fatid looked proud. He didn't look it, but he had healing magic and necromancy up his sleeve too. "When we get to Crystalline, you'll see me in action." He then finished his drink. "I haven't been in a tournament for a while though, so it should be interesting." He then snorted. "I want to see you in action sometime. Maybe you should go on a hunt to capture something."

Cally smiled, “I’m looking forward to seeing you do your thing.” She said happily before drinking her drink. She then finished it and raised an eyebrow, “you sure? You’d be okay with me hunting something down?” She asked cautiously.

Fatid shrugged. "I hunt all the time. For food anyway. Same principle, different reason." He didn't really care. "There are plenty of bounty offers in Crystalline. Maybe pick something up there before or after a tournament." He looked at her to see what she thought.

Fatid nodded once. "You get going." He set his cup down, letting Cally go first. "If you need anything though, I'll be down in the west district of the city." And soon they were going their separate ways, probably not going to speak with each other until the next day, unless Cally stayed up late.

Cally made it to the Inn safe and took advantage of the empty space and shower to get herself clean and eat a packaged dinner. She then left some food out for Fatid just incase he was hungry when he got back. The girl then changed and got in bed, falling asleep a few moments later.

The next morning, Fatid woke up from his spot on the floor. Yawning, his massive jaws gaped before he sat up on the mattress, which was now covered in his secretions. Shrugging, he scratched his side, burping before he looked to the window. It was a ways into the morning, so shops would be opening soon. That meant they could go see about Cally's armor and sword.
