Fatid nodded slowly. "Well, at least they didn't disown you or anything." At her next comment, he snorted. "Maybe someday I'll still get to see them, who knows." He looked as they found the merchant. A Treezard, treebark armor and all. The five foot reptile had tons of fruits and herbs, and she squeaked as she saw Fatid.

Cally took one look at the merchant before putting he hands in her hips, “oh this is going to be easy.” She said while giving Fatid an amused look. She then approached the Treezard, “hello. We’d like to make a purchase.”

The Treezard smiled sheepishly. "Ah, okay... what would you-" She shrank back into her armor like a turtle would their shell as Fatid loomed over her. "Where's your Black Cherry Root?" The poor female blinked at them with a hint of fear, saying "Oh, it's right o-over here... how much would you like to buy...?"

Cally looked to Fatid thoughtfully, “hmm what do you think. We need the armor but it would be useful to have some extra, no?” She asked quietly.

Fatid nodded a little at that before looking to the merchant. "Hmm, I'd say five roots, two for the smith and three for us." And just two was more than enough to trade. And this was a place where they were both acquired and sold for cheap. Imagine what you could get somewhere where there was real money and such going around! Looking to the Treezard, he said "How about you be so kind as to just hand them over? This human here is poor and weak. So you should pity her." The Treezard blinked once, saying "But... she looks healthy. And she has a gun?"

“This type of gun is very primitive. It’s a very old model. Plus it only had two bullets left in it. I wouldn’t stand a chance.” Cally said, pouting a little.

The Treezard still didn't look convinced, but shrank back again as Fatid growled. Yelping, she collected the roots and huffed "Fine! Just don't expect me to ever give you freebies like this again!"

Cally took the roots and smiled, “thank you.” She said mockingly. She then turned and looked to Fatid with a giggle, “that was awesome. You were awesome.”

Fatid smiled slightly. "Come, let's get back to the smith. Is there anywhere you wanted to go after? Or do you want to just start toward Crystalline after getting your things?"

Cally looked down at the roots as they began walking over. She then shook her head, “nope. My only goal here was to get supplies.” She said.

Fatid nodded a little. "Alright then." When they got back to the smith, and the two roots were handed over, the Firesque smiled brightly. "Ooh, these are big too. Okay, let's get you fitted for the armor first."

Cally smiled as well, “alright.” She said before going over to get measured. She gazed around at the weapons, as she hadn’t chosen a sword yet either. She’d be sure to have help with that as well.

Cally was eventually fitted for the armor, then being brought to the swords. "If none of these fit, I can see about making one, but you'd have to pick it up tomorrow."

Cally looked to Fatid as she thought for a moment. She then nodded, “that’ll work.” She said. They could just find a place around the city for the night.

Fatid nodded, and the Firesque said "Okay, what type of sword do you usually work with? Shortsword, long, broad, etc?" He was already planning on what to do and what metals he would possibly need. "And with lightweight armor, I assume you want something with a lightweight metal, easier on the swing?"

Cally thought of the options before saying, “longsword. And yes, that would be great.” She said. She could also work with lightsword, which was essentially just a long sword but with an inch or so off of its length.

The Firesque nodded. "Alright." After finishing her measurements, he said "I will have the armor done later today cause I have some finished pieces that just need adjustments, but you can pick it and the sword up tomorrow, and just give me the Roots then." Fatid nodded at that, saying to Cally "We can just stay at an inn or something for the night then."

Cally thanked him and handed him the payment. She then looked to Fatid and nodded, “anything beats sleeping on the forest floor.” She said. As she began to walk off towards where the inn was.

Fatid nodded in agreement, not that he minded floors. "I'll probably sleep on the floor though. My weight would probably crack any beds they had here." He snorted at that. "So we can share a room too, to save money." It wasn't like either of them planned to bring anyone to the room for the night, as far as he knew, and they certainly weren't going to do anything with each other, so why not?

Cally seemed to agree with that, “alright. And we can always just take the mattess off your bed so you can sleep on that at least. You may be a monster but you not an animal.” She said, gazing at him sympathetically.

Fatid smiled a little at that. "Alright, let's go." He asked someone for the nearest inn, and they were pointed in the direction. They eventually arrived, and surprisingly were greeted by a human, an elderly woman who smiled and helped them with buying a room for the night.

Once they got a room, Cally went to go unlock the room with a key. She then stepped inside and turned on the lights. It was small, but decent. “Seems nice enough.” Cally said.

Fatid nodded in agreement. Going to one of the two beds, his numerous tentacles latched onto one of the mattresses. Dragging it off of the bed, it flopped onto the floor. "This will be hell to clean for the staff," he snorted. He tended to secrete more fluids, nasty fluids, while sleeping. "So, there's still some daylight left. Want to just go look around for a while or something?"

Cally huffed as she finally put all of her stuff on her bed. She sighed, “while we’re out I might look for a new bag.” She said.

Fatid nodded with a grunt. "Okay, let's go." Once Cally had set everything down, they both left the room and went back out into the busy area. They walked to where the more modern stores were, more likely to find a suitable bag or pack for her to buy. "So, what type of monsters do you like? In the sense of hunting. Every hunter has elements they prefer to, well, hunt." Korg tended to favor Water and Fire monsters, Gregorz favored Darkness and Lightning.

“Well I used to like Nature, and light, and sometimes Fire, but then again then I was fighting with some backup so I don’t really know how I’d do on my own, or which elements I really find fun to fight.” She said, deep in thought, “but I didn’t really ever like making any kills, but I did like the thrill of the hunt...” she then laughed nervously, “but I’m different now. I just find those elements fascinating.”

Fatid grunted, smiling a little as she mentioned Nature. "The Light monsters are lucky. They get the most respect cause Uriel classifies himself as a Light monster." Even though it is said he wields all but limitless power. He then snorted. "Technically humans should get the most respect, even though they have no element. It's said that he'd favored you humans the most."

Cally smiled a little and shrugged, “I wish more monsters thought that way. Instead of favoring us for lunch maybe they could try favoring us as friends or more.” She said. “Though I guess you can relate in some way. Being looked down upon because you're different.” From what she saw he didn’t get much respect, “but I think you’re pretty awesome. Despite your manners, which need working on.”

Fatid grunted. "Or more?" He snorted at that, saying "Well, it isn't impossible, I suppose. Humans are just so... well, small. And hairless. And fragile. Not very suitable mates for most monsters." He then huffed. "My manners are fine." Well, to him they were. Looking around, they arrived at a store that sold travel gear, Fatid letting Cally go in first.

“Look, I know you don’t really find humans attractive yourself, but what about other monsters. I bet there’s a least one pairing out there that would like to be more than friends.” She pointed out. She then raised an eyebrow, “oh yeah? Then is farting and blowing a burp in my face what you call manners?” Then again, Cally was aiming a gun at him, not that it would have really made a difference than just piss him off more. She then opened the door and held it over for her new monster friend.
