Cally was still asleep. It had been a while since she had slept well, or in a bed. The covers were up to her neck as she dozed quietly. Her hair had been let down in a thick wavy mass.

Fatid simply poked her awake, a tentacle prodding her side. "It's morning," he said simply, poking her again. He then went to look out of the window again. They could go get breakfast somewhere before getting her armor and weapon perhaps and then be on their way after collecting from the smith.

Cally grumbled, moving away from him, “no. I’m so comfy. Geez you’re like a cat.” She complained. She put the covers over her head to hide herself from the monster.

Fatid shrugged. "If cats are a moldly green and weigh almost half a ton." He then huffed. "Fine, we'll wait. I'm thinking that, whenever you get up, we can go get breakfast before going to pick up your stuff from the smith."

There was a pause, then a sigh. Cally took the blankets off her head and sat up, “no we can go now.” She said tiredly before stretching. She blinked until her eyes adjusted before getting up.

Fatid nodded, waiting for her to get up. "Make sure you take everything, cause we're not coming back. At least not tonight." If they had to sleep in the forest or something on their travel, so be it. They'd have to anyway, cause it was a few days before they reached Crystalline.

Cally nodded. We she got out of bed it could be seen that she was only wearing an oversized shirt and underwear, but she didn’t really seem to care what so ever. She went into the bathroom to get fixed up before going to go get changed.

Fatid didn't seem to care either, only glancing for the sake of noticing her moving. He went back to looking outside of the window, saying "I was thinking. There are tons of parties always happening in Crystalline. We should go to one and find you someone." Cally said that she at least was looking for fun, but he assumed that she would want to find something more. "There's bound to be humans there too."

Cally finished getting dressed and began to pull her hair into a high pony tail, “maybe. They have to be nice though. I don’t want to hook up with someone who is a douche.” She said, “and it you really want to find me a man then they have to be interested in something more than a one night stand.” She then looked began to pack up, “and what about you? What’s your favored type of monster?”

Fatid shook his head. "I don't have a favorite. Never really thought about it before cause even if I did, I'm no one's "favorite" so why bother." He huffed. "As long as they've got a good heart, I don't mind looks too much." Once Cally was packed up, he helped her carry some of her things before heading out. "Hopefully Galante will be hosting a public party while we're in Crystalline. He and his wife have the best parties ever." That tended to be so when you were arguably some of the richest monsters in the Multiverse.

Cally nodded thoughtfully before saying, “I’ll see who I can find.. who also won’t eat me.” She joked. She then thanked Fatid as he took a few things. “I mainly just want to see the both of us happy. And it would be cute to see little baby monsters running around. Speaking of, when two different monsters have a baby, is it a mix of the two, or just one of the two? Or is it a completely different monster in general?” She asked curiously as she opened the door.

Fatid hummed. "There's about a seventy-five percent chance it'll be either or, and a twenty-five percent chance of getting a hybrid, unless two hybrids mate. And if a human and a monster mate, it'll definitely be a hybrid, something completely different." Fatid glanced at Cally. "The only thing that doesn't remotely change are elements. They get two of whatever pool is created. Even if a human and a monster mate, cause the baby won't be human."

“Huh, interesting. Now I kind of want to see human and monster hybrids..” She then said, “so your mom was like you in your old form correct? It’s too bad you never knew what your father was.”

Fatid hummed. "I'm pretty sure Necromancer had humans somewhere in his lineage, if you've ever seen paintings. Most post-first generation angels as well, like Elvira and Remiel." He then nodded. "Yes, a Sheluke. I'm not sure about my father. I don't remember, just my mother." They eventually arrived at the forge, seeing the Firesque setting up shop.

Cally raised an eyebrow, “still, modern day hybrids I mean. Like, would they look more human or more monster.” She was really just curious. She then looked to Fatid, “Fatid have kids with me.” She joked with a small laugh, “just kidding.” She assured him.

Fatid hummed. "It depends on what the human is mating with. They'd look mostly human if mating with someone like Remiel or Elvira, but if a human mates with something like a Hellborne or a Firesaur, then that's different." He then stared deadpan at Cally. "I assumed you only liked humans anyway." Fatid didn't feel anything romantic toward her at all either way though. They were friends, sorta, nothing more nothing less.

Cally still laughed a little at her joke. She then sighed, “I honestly don’t know what I like.” She smiled, “but humans are definitely a preference.”

Fatid shrugged at her preference. A species naturally gravitated toward their own kind, but there were so many different species in one city alone that curiosity sometimes got the better of an individual. "Well, as long as they're good to you, I don't care what they are."

“Me too. I’d rather date a nice monster than some jerk of a human.” Cally agreed, “look at you, you’re going to be like my wingman. Now we have to go to one of these parties if there are any.” She said, “we are both painfully single.” She joked.

Fatid chuckled softly. "We'll see if there are any when we get to Crystalline." He then huffed. "Yes we are, but you'll have better luck finding someone. Just remember, absolutely no Crystalline dogs. Just avoid any if you see them."

Cally scoffed, “stop saying that about yourself. You deserve to find a woman too!” She then got quiet and nodded, “right. I’ll walk the other way.”

Fatid nodded. After arriving and talking with the smith, the Firesque let Cally try on her armor and try out her new sword. "See how everything fits and feels," the smith offered.

Fatid nodded, and the smith said "Alright, then you're good to go." Fatid turned to Cally, saying "Yeah, let's beat it. I want to be far from here by tonight." He didn't need his newest friend getting snatched by trappers.

“Yeah let’s.” Cally said, “I like the life I have now thank you very much.” She said. She then thanked the smith and began to walk out with Fatid.

It took a few days, but the pair eventually arrived in Crystalline. Modern, but still with places that tapped into the old days. Busy and alive, full of monsters of course. Fatid was headed to where some tournaments were held, the Red Rain Arena. Looking at fliers, he huffed. "Next one isn't until three days from now, and sign-up opens tomorrow." He then shrugged. "Let's go see about getting word on a party or two, hm?"

Cally brightened up at the mention of the parties. “Sure. We should also look into finding a place to stay too.” She suggested.
