Necromancer nodded, “alright, thank you. I will direct my attention down that way then. But for now I’m just getting a sense of the land.” He said, “I’m in no rush yet.”
Jennifer nodded, “that’s a very kind thing to offer anyways.” She said, smiling softly. “And are there any jobs open for the taking? I’m assuming we will have to pull our weight somehow, right?”

The monster nodded. "Ah, okay. Well then, I best not keep you long. Excuse my curiosity." He smiled sheepishly before bidding good day and going about his walk.
Layth smiled a little. "It is not mandatory, but if you'd like to take on a job, you can. There are even some monsters hiring hunters and scouts, though mostly monsters of course. Mainly because human hunters here are basically nonexistent, as you can probably understand why. They wouldn't want to be here."

“No worries. You helped me out actually.” Necromancer said before they parted ways. He then continued his look around as he waited for Mercurius to return.
Jennifer nodded, “and so how do bills and such work here if jobs aren’t necessary. What’s the economy like?” She asked, clearly having a lot of questions.

Mercurius eventually returned, trotting up to Necromancer. "The word's definitely out now. People will be keeping an eye out for you. Any luck on your end?"
Layth tilted his head. "Bartering, mainly. Some want money, gems and the like, while others might want herbs or clothing. You offer what you have or can acquire really. Most of the humans and monsters here either are refugees or too busy to fuss over things like money, but it's definitely here if you know where to look. The ones hiring hunters or the like pay a pretty coin though, and there's a few shops that do as well. Oh, the nurseries and daycares as well, since there's so few to watch the babies and kids while people are working or out on missions. In terms of bills, don't worry about the house. No one's charged for things like that here, as it's quite silly to be during times like this. Basically, you'll always have a home, but anything extra like clothing, optional furnishing, entertainment, food, anything pertaining to your person really, of course must be acquired by whatever method. Be it bartering or growing it yourself. If you're having trouble with something though, I'm sure your friends here can help you."

“A monster approached me and directed me towards a nearby portion of the town.” Necromancer explained, “said there were likely plenty of monsters who would be willing to take a job there. I’m thinking we should make our way over.” He said, looking to the fox after he spoke.
Jennifer nodded in understanding, “Alright. Sounds like you have things very organized.” She said. She then looked over to see if the others had to say anything as well. Criss just looked content with her tea. Colby watched her before taking a sip of his own small cup. He scrunched his nose and stuck out his tongue.

Mercurius blinked once, listening curiously. "Ah, I see. Well, let's head over then. I'd like to see what's around there, and I'm sure you would too."
Layth nodded. "This is the largest camp and holds the largest amount of operating rebels. We'll get anxious, or even found out if we aren't always organized."

“Alright, let’s go then.” Necromancer said before beginning to walk in the direction of the town, seeming happy for now.
Calmly shrugged, “makes sense.” She said. She then looked as Colby yawned. She sighed silently, though she knew he didn’t know it was rude. Jennifer looked from Colby to Layth, “well, it’s getting late and I don’t want to bother you for too long. We should probably get going..”

Mercurius led the way to the dip in the valley. It didn't seem too bad, though it did look a little more dense than the other areas of vegetation.
Layth smiled. "Yes, of course. If you need anything, ask around, though you are welcome to come to me as well. For now though, how about your friends go and show you around some more? Maybe some of the families where your boy can make some friends."

Necromancer looked around cautiously at first, but seemed like everything seemed to be alright.
Jennifer nodded, “that would be nice.” She said, “and thank you again for your hospitality, really.”

Mercurius looked around, saying "Let's try and find some tough-looking monsters. Big fighters. Or maybe ask around for some smart ones."
Layth nodded to the family, and Remiel turned to lead the way out.

"A mix of both would be ideal." Necromancer said as he looked around, "and we need monsters who will be loyal as well. Much like you." He said, cracking a small smile to his new friend.
Cally followed after him followed by her family, then Criss. Cally huffed, "that was a mess for a moment.."

Mercurius puffed out his chest proudly. "Yes, like me!" He was the best companion ever. Totally the best. As they got further into the valley, there was a place that looked like it had a lot of activity, monsters walking in and out of the noisy area. "Let's go there," Mercurius said.
Fatid said "Well, the only real hiccup was when your dad started talking. Let's just assume that when we meet Uriel, he's as patient as Layth says." Remiel was the only one out of the group to have actually seen the other entity, so Fatid was in the dark about it.

Necromancer raised an eyebrow saying, “don’t get too cocky. You still have a lot to learn.” He said before looking ahead again, “alright, sounds like a plan.” He said before leading the way.
Cally grumbled and nodded, “it’s not his fault. It’s all he really knows too. He is from a very long line of hunters, so he’s kind of going against everything he knows by suddenly respecting monsters and not having to fear them.”

Mercurius walked over to the structure, similar vibes to a bar, though it didn't have the stench of alcohol. He held the door open for Necromancer, both getting looks from monsters outside.
Remiel shrugged. "Humans used to respect Uriel just as monsters did, when they were still figuring out their place in the world, both having been set in motion by his hand. When humans severed the bond with monsters though, so they did to their bond with him." He led the group over to what looked akin to a marketplace, even a few buildings set along the pathway. They received curious looks mostly, some greeting Remiel as they passed.

Necromancer stepped inside, not really sure what this place was. He looked around upon entertaining, trying to get a sense of the crowd.
Calmly nodded slowly, “I see. I feel foolish for not knowing him. It should have been information I learned many years ago. But I was trained and schooled by hunters..” she said, “instead of making him seem bad or somethigg by they just left him out completely I guess.”

Mercurius looked around some more. It seemed like a club. A gritty one though, with your typical "tough guy" monster vibe. Though the fox was pretty sure some of these were women.
Remiel shrugged. "Newer generations of monsters really only hear his name, and nothing more. Mostly because it is a story most of us are told, so that is what he is known as by a lot. A story. Most outside of this camp don't even believe he is actually real, surprisingly."

“Huh. Might as well get a drink, no?” Necromancer suggested, flashing Mercurius a small grin. He then led him over to the bar to order a drink for the both of them. He then looked to Mercurius saying, “let’s keep on a lookout.”
Calmly nodded, fiddling with her fingers a little as she thought it over. “Well I’m sort of glad I’m not the only one... but I’ll have to do my research now.”

Mercurius nodded, saying "Drinks on me, of course." He led the way over to the bar, finding a spot to sit as a reptilian female studied them, Necro mainly. "Death is supposed to arrive during and after wars, if I remember correctly."
Remiel smiled a little before suddenly frowning. His fiery red wings twitched a little, and he looked around, toward where he heard more chatter amongst the already busy camp.

“Well, times are changing.” Necromancer said simply, keeping his focus on his drink. He then looked to the female calmly, “I’m here for the sake of recruitment.”
Criss caught on to him, she looked around with alert saying, “what’s wrong?”

The female shrugged, the lizard going about her business at the bar. "Take your pick. Plenty plan on fighting anyway."
Fatid looked around in confusion, and Remiel said "Samael is here." Quite possibly the most dangerous creature in existence aside from Uriel.

Necromancer nodded slowly saying, “any suggestions. I’m assuming you know that better than I.” Well aside from their type’s basic knowledge.
Criss’ eyes widened a little. She then said, “alright, then in that case I think we should get the humans home before possible trouble occurs.”

The female shrugged. "Not sure about specifics, but there are a few that I can send your way. See who you'd like the best as a recuit."
Remiel ran a hand through his hair. "No one's in danger, unless some knucklehead provokes him. He usually comes around the time his brother does. He and Uriel are very close."

Necromancer nodded after sipping his drink again, “please do. It’ll be a big help.” He said simply, looking among the crowd.
Criss raised an eyebrow saying, “which is why I think we should have certain family members stay back.” She said quietly. Cally’s father shot her a look.

The female nodded, briefly leaving her post to go and do what she said and send some people toward Necro and Mercurius.
Remiel glanced at Cally's dad, saying "Right you are, but it's out of respect that I go greet him either way. You all are welcome to come if you'd like though." But he really just meant everyone but Cally's father.

Necromancer looked to Mercurius saying softly, "I honestly dont understand why I feel slightly nervous right now. They should be the nervous ones not me."
Jennifer said, "Well, I think I'll meet him tomorrow. I'm sorry, but I think my family should rest." She took both Colby and her husband's hands, "send him my best regards. Cally, come along." Cally shook her head saying, "I would like to go with them."

Mercurius frowned a little. "Well, you've never done anything like this before. Don't worry about it though, you'll be fine. I'll help you through the talking part if that's what you're worried about."
Remiel blinked a little in surprise. He hadn't expected any of them to agree. Smiling a little to Jennifer, he nodded and said "The rest of the family can meet us tomorrow to meet him, which is when Uriel should be arriving as well."

Necromancer smiled a little at his reassurance saying, “thank you. I’d like that.” He then smiled a little with amusement, “see this is the real reason why I kept you by my side. You’re very extroverted, and I am simply not.”
Jennifer nodded before turning despite her husband’s protests. She wasn’t about to let him ruin their stay here the day they got there. Cally huffed, “what am I going to do with them?” She joked. Criss raised an eyebrow, “teach you father some manners is what.” She said bluntly.

Mercurius shrugged. "You just need some practice. You'll get better at it, I'm sure." He then looked as some started making their way over.
Remiel and Fatid chuckled, and Remiel said "Come, and do not hold eye contact for long if he is looking at you. And you'll know when he is." He then turned to lead the way through the gathering crowd.

Necromancer nodded, hoping that was the case. He then glanced over as he saw the monster approaching, but didn’t acknowledge him yet, instead, he took another sip of his drink.
Calmly nodded, “got it.” She said before following them closely. She stood in between Remiel and Fatid so that she wouldn’t get lost in the crowd, or stomped on by any larger monsters.
