Cally didn’t show any hesitation as she went to collect her reward. She killed it so she got what was her’s. After she finished the whole process she huffed and looked back to them, “let’s get these feathers to a safe place before someone tried to steal them, okay?” She said.

Remiel nodded, saying "You should probably find somewhere secure but still where only you know. Not even banks will leave those feathers alone."

Cally thought for a moment. “There’s not many places in this city that I can put them and have no one find them. I mean, Fatid and I are staying in a hotel that gets cleaned almost every day..”

Fatid hummed. "I can keep them in my back." The huge worm-like appendages on his back moved aside to reveal a sort of container. Mostly likely it had stuff in it of course, and he squatted to let it roll to the ground.

Cally nodded, “okay... I’m trusting you.” She said as she put the feathers into the container like space in his back. “I know you won’t run off with them.” She said.

Fatid snorted. "I don't really need money, and I've acquired quite a lot of my own, so it's not something I need to worry about." After hiding the feathers away, Remiel then suggested "Alright, let's head to where the practices are held. We're a little early for our scheduled time though."

Cally nodded, “lead the way.” She said as they began to walk out of the building.

(It's fine)
Remiel walked with Cally as Fatid led the way. The public practice area had a few groups already in there, but all Remiel and Fatid had to do was walk in. They decided to wait for the third monster though, Fatid grumbling "He's late."

Cally went off to where others could safely watch. She looked around for the third monster, but just assumed he’d be there soon. She watched the other two with interest. They could at least warm up without him, right?

Fatid and Remiel started moving to warm up, testing out nature and fire abilities respectively. Fatid worked with the plants growing there, watching them weave around and grab the air while Remiel practiced with his sword, which he summoned with an easy wave of his hand.

Cally watched on with interest, looking from Fatid to Remiel. She still looked towards the entrance for their third partner though, wondering where he was as time dragged on.

As the two practiced in their own little area, a third monster entered the public space. Well, sort of. Black gas started to flood in from one of the entrances, crawling in a ways before rising up and revealing a cloak, the smoke moving through the tattered cloak to create some sort of body. (Faugnar)

Cally watched as the monster entered. She looked on curiously as the three joined together. They looked like a pretty powerful team even just by looks themselves.

Practicing amongst themselves was good, but Remiel started asking around to try and see if there were any who wanted to spar with them. Fatid and Faugnar waited around, sparring with themselves as Remiel tried to find a group.

Cally watched as Fatid and Faungar sparred. It was interesting to see how the two fought. She of course was hoping that her friend would win, but Faungar was proving to be a very good opponent.

Fatid was using his special "arms" to try and grab or swipe at Faugnar, but the other monster was literally too flexible to be caught for long. Every time Fatid grabbed him, the smoke would slip through gaps and openings and get away and land a few hits of his own in turn.

Cally could see that Fatid wasn’t doing so well at the moment. “Let’s go Fatid! You got his!” She cheered from her spot. She knew he could take on the other monster he just had to think of another method of attack.

Fatid glanced back toward Cally, feeling a little encouraged by her cheering. Cracking a smirk, he seemed to tense all of his muscles, and suddenly released a huge, nasty green cloud of gas. The gas seemed to affect Faugnar, who jerked and twitched with an annoyed hiss as he tried to navigate his way out. Fatid took the chance to finally get in a good hit, sending Faugnar crashing into the ground when in solid form. And it probably hurt too, seeing as how it took some time to get back up.

Other monsters in the spectator area had been watching as well along with watching the others sparring in the large enclosure. Everyone seemed to be trying their best even in practice, probably because of the rumor that Warmasters would be showing up for the tournament.

Cally looked to the others fighting, sizing them up in comparison to the team she was rooting for. There was some serious talent, and the trio definitely had their work cut out for them.

"It's been a while since I've seen a human so invested in monsters." Walking over to Cally was another big bird, but no Griffex. A ways over five feet tall, she was wearing a black cloak. White feathers with black specks, holding a silver staff. The cloak and staff were prominent characteristics of a Chordim, powerful avians known for their magical prowess. "Word's gotten around of a human hunter. Haven't seen one of those here in quite a while either."

Cally looked to the Chordim as she spoke. She quickly assessed the monster, seeing if she looked aggressive in any way. She smiled a little and nodded, “I’m friends with two of the monsters participating in the tournament.” She explained. She then hesitated a little as she spoke of her, “yes, I’m sure they’ve have obtained quite the reputation.” She said simply.

The large bird shrugged, wings twitching. "A lost reputation. Human hunters are few and far between. Your family is one of the last groups running around to my knowledge, and I know quite a lot." She smiled a little before looking to the sparring monsters. "All the more reason for you not to build too much of a reputation. One person's story is another's memory. Surely you've heard the tale of how humans were once plentiful, until they weren't."

Cally nodded slowly, “I’ve heard many times before. I’m trying to keep on the down low for the most part while still keeping up an honest living.” She said, “I’ve only been here for a couple of weeks and I’ve already had some very close calls with the monsters living here.”

The Chordim simply hummed. "Change is coming. Staying on your travels won't keep you safe for long. I'd like to extend this invitation to your family, but... well, they wouldn't be at their happiest where I'm at right now. With a dictator comes rebellion. Remiel at least should know what I'm extending to you. You'd still be able to go about your life and your travels, but with a more... secure home. Humans will soon be within the crosshairs again."

Cally nodded slowly before saying, “the Griffex I hunted gave me a similar warning before I delivered the final blow... I will ask Remiel after the tournament is done with then. Thank you.” She said with a small smile. One warning could easily be passed off, but twice could mean that there’s actually was something behind the warnings. “My family isn’t the fondest of monsters though, so I don’t know what could happen..” she then looked to the monsters training, “will you be participating as well?”

The Chordim smiled a little. "Maybe they'll be willing to share grounds with us when they experience the fear of extinction." She then shook her head. "Oh no, my tournament days are a ways behind me. I'm here looking for free humans to invite to the... little hideout I'm staying at. I can't exactly invite "owned" ones, as I'm not exactly looking to start trouble with their owners." She then looked around. "Well, I best be going. If you end up deciding to take up the offer, Remiel will know where to take you."

Cally listened to her with interest. She then nodded, “I will. Thank you.” She said with an honest smile. She knew her family wasn’t fond of monsters, but they weren’t stupid. They’d come if it came down to survival. She then looked back to her friends training.

After the bird left, the training went on for a while, Remiel even finding another team to spar with. And after a time of exchanging blows and attacks, the teams split up to go and get rest for tomorrow. Remiel and Fatid went to meet Cally, though taking chance to watch Faugnar slink off to wherever.
