“Yes, I will.” Roman said with a nod, “though your input is encouraged.” He told them as he began to lead them towards the door, “we should hold a meeting sometime in the next few days to discuss starting progress and the like.”

As the others left, one of the satyrs approached Roman. "Um, your majesty, if I may have a quick word?"

Roman looked to him before nodding, “I have time.” He said after ordering one fo the guard to alert their general to get a few groups ready to escort the other houses back.

The satyr looked sheepish. "Um, yes, I was just going to ask... the Guides still plan on helping us, right? My people were a little wary after that ordeal earlier." He assumed the king was close to them and had been talking with them before.

Roman nodded in understanding. He then said, “from what I understand they will help. But they won’t step in unless they absolutely need to.” He explained, “don’t worry they’re on our side though.”

The satyr nodded a little. "I see. Alright then, I just had a bit of doubt... well, then that is all. I best be on my way. Good luck with everything, though I assume the houses will meet again soon."

Roman gave the satyr a little nod before turning to his own business again. He went to go find his wife to get an update, walking down the halls towards where she could possibly be.

When Roman found Alma, she'd been talking with some of the advisers. She saw her husband just as they finished, smiling softly at him as the advisers walked off. "Word is spreading as we speak. The people are already on high alert, and some are actually volunteering to enlist from what the guards are saying."

“That’s good to hear.” Roman said, “the other houses just departed. We’re creating neutral land between our kingdoms to provide better travel.” He explained to her, “we should probably keep an extra eye out just in case though.”

Alma nodded. "Of course. Even if we establish neutral borders and areas, there will still be conflict between the houses. There's bound to be, and if we keep an eye on everything the likelihood will go down."

Roman nodded, “how are things on your end?” He asked, “no one gave you any issues, right?” He asked his wife.

Alma shook her head. "No, there's been no trouble on my end, and no one gave me any trouble. Having guards with me probably helped with that." She looked over at Roman. "I just hope we'll be prepared. Who knows what the enemy will do for an attack."

Roman sighed, “I hope so too. All we can do is focus on keeping the peace with the other houses, and training our people as much as we can.” He said softly, “we should also remind the townsfolk what to do during a battle in terms of getting somewhere safe.”

Alma nodded a little. "I'll get on that tomorrow. The people have already been spooked enough today." Looking around, she watched a pair of guards pass by on their rounds before she said "So, is there anything else you have to do today?" She assumed he probably did though, usually having a little more to do than her in a day. "I still have a few things to get to, but if you need any help I can lend some time."

Roman shook his head, “no, that won’t be necessary. I can handle it. I have a busy schedule ahead of me, but it’s nothing out of the ordinary.” He assured her, “I will see you later tonight for dinner, alright?”

Alma nodded a little before smiling at his question. "Yes, I'll see you then. Try not to worry too much about everything, okay?" Though it would definitely be hard not to, with what's recently been happening along with the threat of war. The thought made her frown slightly.

Roman gave her a stressed smile saying, “I won’t.” He was a bad liar, but he wouldn’t let his over thinking get in the way of his usual chores. He knew better than to get too ahead of himself. Roman said one last goodbye to his wife before turning and walking away.

Alma sighed, knowing he was lying. She went her own way though to tend to the last of her duties. (We can skip to later.)

((Yeah that sound good. Sorry I forgot about this thread and Ragnarok for a hot second.
Roman woke up early in the morning do a servant knocking on the door perusal. He grumbled a little, ignoring the knocking, pulling his wife closer to him gently, burying his face in the back of her neck.
Dakota was currently dozing off, his feathery body snuggled against Nim's fluffy side.

(It's okay xD We're the only ones here)
Alma stirred as Roman pulled her closer. Having heard the knock, she sighed softly. "Maybe if we don't answer, they'll go away."
Nim was happily settled with Dakota, purring softly as the bird snuggled with him, nuzzling him occasionally.

Roman cracked a small smile, still keeping his eyes closed, “that’s what I’m hoping.” He said softly. “What if I just locked the door and told them to go away?” He joked.
Dakota eventually stirred, fluffing up his feathers as he looked around.

Alma chuckled. "That would be nice," she said softly. "But they'd be back eventually."
Nim looked over at Dakota. "Good morning," he purred softly, an ear flicking once.

Roman sighed as the knocking continued, “you stay here. I’ll see what I can do.” He said before sitting up. He got out of bed and went over to the door, opening it a little before quietly talking with the servant. Luckily she was just acting as a wake up call, asking them in they needed anything, or any help with wardrobe and the like. Roman frowned a little saying, “with all due respect, I would actually just like a little more time with my wife in the peace and quiet.” He said simply.
Dakota looked over to him, his small pupils blowing wide as the sight of his love, “good morning~” he said before letting out what seemed like a yawn.

Alma listened as Roman talked with the servant, waiting patiently for the girl to leave.
Nim purred loudly as Dakota spoke, watching him as he yawned. Scratching an ear, he asked "Should we get up? Or stay here a little longer?"

Roman soon closed the door and huffed saying, “we’ve got a while longer. But not much.” He said as he went to join his wife in bed again.
“I like it here with you. Just a few more minuets, hm?” He said, turning into a tiger so he could better cuddle with Nim. He tail flicking lazily as he got up to reposition himself around Nim.

Nim continued purring, snuggling into Dakota. "Mmm, such a handsome tiger. And bird. Well, you look good no matter what."

Roman smiled as he wrapped an arm around her saying, “whatever happened to sleeping in?” He joked, “that seems to be the one luxury we aren’t allowed to have.”
Dakota purred, “thank you.” He said, “but not as handsome as you. Your white coat is flawless.”

Alma laughed gently. "We have to wait until we have an heir for that. I can't wait until we can get an entire day to ourselves whenever we want."
Nim smiled gently. "Charmer." He rolled onto his back, looking over at Dakota. He then sighed after some silence. "I'm worried about the humans." Since they weren't handing over Olgrin, there would be war.
