I'm curious who's going to be more "in charge" between Cedarheart and Ghost, honestly.

I mean, considering the split-clan plot I don't think it's a great idea. Plus, if the other clan is so far away then what's the point really. Also (I think I found the right clan) it looks fantasy-based and StormClan is...not that.

Minor piece of Quailfang backstory because the lad isn't suffering enough - Quailfang had an apprentice named Pikepaw when he was a younger warrior, and Pikepaw was killed by a fox after only two moons of training after he left camp alone, desperate to prove himself to a mentor who seemed to spend more time in the nursery than anywhere else (Windstep's first litter had just been born at Quailfang was doting). Pikepaw was killed by a fox before Quailfang could track him down.

We're about to time skip, so it'll be a good time to kinda reset But generally, Quailfang, Nightclaw, Streamheart and Silverstrike were all pretty badly injured by the sharptooth, while Owlswoop and Badgertuft got off relatively lightly. Sunstar lost one life directly to the beast and then another by putting so much stress on his newly revived body by getting the sharptooth to chase him and tricking it into falling in the river. Miststar was like: Spoiler Alert, It's not dead, but it's real hurt and it's not gonna be back for a while.

Back at Camp Beepaw and Tallwhisker are still being obvious and gross with how much they're crushing on each other, Windstep and Applepaw and very amused. Redwing still hates the new joiners, despite Hornetpaw and Scorchkit getting along. Sweetpaw and Winterpaw are now friends! Thymesprout gave Thistleshade a headache by dragging yet another loner back to Camp - Enter Jayflight. Breezebounce was an idiot and ran off to hunt with Deerfeather, despite being ordered to guard Camp by Sunstar. Thistleshade was not amused. All the remaining Apprentices and a few of the Warriors are reinforcing the walls.

Then Streamheart returns to Camp telling everyone the patrol went south before collapsing and cats were sent out to bring them home. Rumblefoot carried a barely conscious Quailfang back, while Ravenwing brought a completely unconscious Nightclaw. Owlswoop helped a quickly deteriorating Silverstrike to hobble back and Badgertuft carried the exhausted Sunstar. Reedfoot and Thymesprout, who had gone to the Starlake to commune with StarClan, rushed back. Reedfoot is not amused. Thistleshade is not amused with Reedfoot. Or Breezebounce. Herbs and prey are running low now. Winterpaw and Willownose are away finding what's needed quick while Whitebird, Pansyface, Brindlemask and Crowcall are out hunting. Another herb patrol consisting of Thymesprout, Foxbite, Windstep and Jayflight is currently being organised. Beepaw and Hornetpaw are guarding the Medicine Den, while Honeyblossom and Tallwhisker are guarding the Nursery where Puddlecloud is also hanging out with the Queens.

To be fair, Thistleshade is also very grumpy at the minute. She sees Reedfoot as sort of undermining her as Deputy and she definitely doesn't like the lack of respect Reedfoot gives Sunstar. (Which, given that Sunstar and Thistleshade are so much younger and Reedfoot is a Medicine Cat, it isn't that difficult to imagine why.) Combined with Thitleshade's immense worry about her brother and the Leader she's always sort of admired, growing up just a couple of moons younger, is making Thistleshade take things way more personally than she usually would.
