Conekit is recovered, and is also given to Dandelionstep to foster. Willowfoot, Emberflight, Faithpaw, Mistykit are swept away in yet another flood. Meanwhile, Flciker announces that Fern is dead, and says she know who the caused all the murders must be. Simon asks who it is, and Flicker says this cat has been shunned by the Clan, because of their name. “I ask again Flicker, who is it?” Simon gazes down at the ginger she cat.
“I regret to inform you Simon, that along with Fern’s body, I found a tuft of silver fur. A link I seemed to find was that these cats, who were murdered, were linked to this cat and insulted her, told her to get her evils away from our territory. Of course it was not her they were shunning, but it was Minnowsong.”
The cats gaze in shock and gasp, but before anyone can say anything, Windfern steps up. “You may not trust me, but Minnowsong is innocent. She came to me with a prophecy, that Stormwing knows of. This cat herself, if it was not for Fern pretending to be Minnowsong and this cat received her name, then these cats would not be dead.”
“Who do you accuse then?” Simon half yells to the she- cats, and Flicker unsheathes a claw and raises her paw to point.
“It was her!”
There is a gasp off Flysnow and Ambernose.
“No, Minnowpool. You wouldn’t...” Flysnow mutters, his voice trailing off to see the anger in his daughters eyes.
“But I have something to tell you too “dad”! Why didn’t you tell me and Foxtail, y’know, that you’re NOT ACTUALLY OUR FATHER?” Minnowpool creeps closer to him as the cats take a step back, knowing she is a danger.
Suddenly, the she cats eyes glaze over, and the silver cat collapses to the ground.
“Ambernose?” Flysnow asks to his mate, who is standing above her daughter, one paw bloody.

IByron becomes mates with Leafstorm. Rookwhisker discovers that Twolegs have begun to knock some trees down in the territory, and the river flow has been changed to the direction of the camp. Bewildered, he creates a wall of reeds, hoping it will be of some defence. Byron is willing to help him, but for a price. The tom asks what he wants, and Byron says he wants Rookwhisker to kill Flicker, as she is next in line to the rogue group (being Bramble and Fern’s sister) the tom refuses, and tells Simon. He decides not to exile Byron, as it seems that Byron is acting guiltily and seems awkward all the time, like he is being manipulated to do that. Ravenpaw and Noonpaw become warriors. Meanwhile, Ambernose’s kits become apprentices, and she is expecting a third litter. Windfern and Beefang begin to get closer, and try and keep there relationship under wraps as much as possible. It doesn’t seem to work however, as Windfern is soon expecting a litter, but she keeps it from the Clan, knowing they will question her. (Hmm me neither. I’m gonna be gone for a couple of hours but I’ll return soon. Last post until then) Mintpaw, while cleaning the elders den, notices Beefang and Windfern look unusually distraught. She asks them why, and Windfern stares at her sympathetically. Spooked, Mintpaw moves away from the den, until the scent of fox hits her nose. A fox attacks the apprentice, and Windfern and Beefang suddenly go and attack it. The Fox is defeated by other Clanmates too, however, Mintpaw is distraught from their sympathetic gases and protectiveness over her. She does not tell Shawpaw.
