BUMBLE WITH THE CLAN Bumble giggled at Shrike's outburst, her eyes shining as she looked up at the large cream tom. He isn't so scary after all, she purred. "I don't think you scare him," she admitted honestly, "I just think you make him nervous - somehow. Maybe because you're so tall?" Shrike was probably as tall as Shadow, she noted, he just wasn't as...big.

(sorry I've taken so long to reply! I've been sick recently so ack)
"Alright, I will. And the name's Juniper." The lanky she'cat nodded curtly. Her sharp fangs grabbed the mouse with a swift bite. She still felt rude not giving the mouse to the rogue, but he insisted not to so she let it go. The black-and-white blotched molly walked into camp and dropped the rodent in a pile, looking around.

Lilyfern With Jasminestar
Lilyfern narrowed her eyes playfully as Jasminestar overtook her. She glanced around as a mischievous smile moved over her features. Putting on a brief burst of speed, she leapt forward and landed in the brook, splashing Jasminestar with a flick of her paw. She could tell that their fun was almost over - the surrounding foliage was starting to look familiar. "It's only cheating if the other cat does it," Lilyfern sang teasingly, tail curling happily as she slowed down. Her paws ached a little, unused to running for so long over such terrain, but she barely felt it over the happiness that she felt.
Shadow, Oliver and Mimi With The Clan
Oliver grunted an affirmative and moved to gather up some of the moss. The past few moons spent mostly lurking at the edge of their old twolegs's house had been uncomfortable until they had figured out a way to make their own beds. Both he and his mother had become quite adept at the practice, although they preferred making them among the roots of trees.
Mimi beamed warmly at the new cats. "Well, it's very nice to meet you all," She purred, shifting so that she could settle her swollen stomach into a more comfortable position, "It's nice to see the Clan still growing and with such lovely, polite young cats too." Tilting her head, the Queen's tail swished around to curl around her paws, the end of the fluffy mass tucking neatly beneath her. She smiled over at Shrike, a little apologetically. "Don't mind Oliver too much," She assured the young tom, "My son has never been too good at meeting others. You should have heard how he spoke to Jasmine when we first met them. He'll settle soon enough." Her eyes were obviously full of warmth for her son as she thought back to the sweet, scowly little face he had as a kit.
Shadow yawned widely, listening with one ear to the conversation around him when movement at the current 'entrance' to their Camp made him raise his head. Heaving himself to his paws, the scarred tom padded lazily over to the newcomers. "Berry," He rumbled nonchalantly, nodding to the she-cat as his tail flickered idly. His whole body language was at ease, contentment making him languid and slow. "You bringing us more work in the nursery," He rasped teasingly, before turning his attention to Flora. "Afternoon," He greeted her, dipping his head respectfully to the Queen, "I'm Shadow. Feel free to ask if you need anything, there's plenty of food if you're hungry."

FLORA WITH BERRY AND THE CLAN Flora backed up in alarm as the large dark-furred tom approached, her ears flattening against her head. From such an imposing cat, Flora had expected a more intense first encounter, but she was rather shocked to see that the tom - Shadow, he'd said his name was - was completely relaxed, and greeted her so kindly. "It's nice to meet you, Shadow," she mewed, still slightly uneasy, "I'm Flora." From what she had seen so far, these cats seemed quite civilised, and if Shadow and Berry were anything to go by, they were rather friendly too. They must have enough food to spare, if they're so quick to offer it to a stranger, she realised, and she was right: there was a rather impressive pile of prey close to the middle of the clearing. They must hunt for each other, and bring their prey back here for everybody to share. She was a little hungry, now that she thought about it, but admittedly she was hesitant to take anything from this group before she felt more comfortable.

((sylveeon don't even worry about it bro, i am constantly gone always even though i always have this tab open
Guess who lasted 4 hours at their new job then left. It me, the one who got a banged up arm trying to pull stickers off freshly washed produce trays going very fast down a conveyor. Thankfully it was through a temp agency, and now they're sending me to do housekeeping at a hotel on first shift. So uh, back to the normal amount of avoiding the rp until I'm fully ready to post >> I need something that will read my mind and put the images into words for me.
100% I just think Mimi is Daisy and also keep distracting myself
Ahhhhh, do you guys want a full on "every cat getting named individually" post or do you want a summary?)) Mystic with SootMystic gave a thoughtful nod to Soot's response to his question. He supposed the other declawed kittypets were more sensible than he was. Even though he snorted at the thought of being hawk-bait, the younger cat allowed himself a quick glance skyward. His new lack of attention caused him to step right past some ferns. Now the scent of cats was overwhelming, and the tom looked around to see cats absolutely everywhere. "Soot, Soot I didn't think there'd be this many," he whispered loudly at his traveling companion, soft spotted fur rising. Berry with Flora & ShadowBerry had opened her mouth to assure Flora about the absolute safety of the clan when Shadow approached. The little cat purred after Flora finished the introductions. "Shadow's a really great cat, he looks grumpy but he's extremely protective of our youngest queen Tawny," she explained. "I'm not sure she'd be in our care without him." There was a hint of worry in her voice as she remembered the tortoiseshell's story. Shaking to get rid of the thoughts, the ginger gestured that she'd lead Flora to the nursery. "That other big guy is Badger, he's even softer than Shadow. Me and him dug out the nursery just this morning!" She bounced a little while she walked, seemingly to emphasize her words. "Now Mimi, she's on her second litter. Was a kittypet with her first son.." Berry rambled about the cats she knew the whole steps across camp. It was amazing how much information she could recite in such a short amount of time. Badger & Pearl with Oliver & Tawny[/i] "Oliver's got the idea," Badger praised before going on to explain and show the other two what he knew about moss and bracken nests. During the demonstration his ears picked up a very familiar chatter. A tiny smile appeared as the bulky tom turned to greet Berry...and another expecting she-cat. "Seems everyone is picking up more new cats," he rumbled good-naturedly. Pearl was intently focused on what the former loner was teaching them, doing her best to weave the bracken through the moss for optimal softness, when Berry dropped by with a new cat. The patchy cat stayed quiet, but dipped her head in greeting to both she-cats. Shorty with JuniperThe name sounded familiar to Shorty, one that Jasmine had mentioned when they were talking about the former clan. So the tabby really didn't think much about just bringing Juniper back to camp with him. He wasn't sure why he'd followed her all the way to the fresh-kill pile, but he decided that at least he could admire how big the pile had grown today. He'd been about to walk away when two more cats crashed through the creek ferns. Jasminestar with Lilyfern and also the whole entire clan"Oh really?" Jasminestar mrrowed as they crouched in the shallow water. Green eyes gleamed with mischief before they launched toward the spotted friend. The momentum sent the two tumbling back into camp. Laughing wildly, Jasminestar untagled themselves and helped Lilyfern up. "You okay Em-Lilyfern?" they asked, catching themselves on the medicine cat's very recently changed name.

(I think that we should have a full-on naming ceremony, personally.)
Tawny had been fully focused on building her nest, ensuring that every inch was soft and fluffy enough to support her kits once they were born. She looked up as Berry entered with a new she-cat, and she dipped her head silently in greeting, before getting back to work. Her kits were going to come soon - she knew that. She needed to have a nest ready before then.

(OPEN)
Spirit had since retreated back to the outer edges of camp, her shyness starting to get the better of her once more. She'd have to interact with the Clan once everything had been made official, but for now, she could hide away and stop her leg from being seen. That would be better.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Eagle had been sitting in camp, watching the rest of the Clan happily. Everything was finally coming together! He stood up as the two she-cats entered camp. "Jasmine! Emiko! You're back!" He mewed excitedly, padding over. "What happened?"
FLORA WITH BERRY AND THE CLAN The tortoiseshell queen nodded along as Berry spoke, but admittedly she was having a little trouble keeping up with everything the ginger she-cat had to say. When they reached what Berry called the nursery, Flora made brief eye-contact with the large black-and-white tom - Badger - as he turned to her. Her fur fluffed up slightly as the tom turned his gaze on her, but his eyes were passive, and Flora forced herself to calm down. These cats won't hurt me, she chastised herself, taking a deep breath. She returned the other queen's nod of greeting with a soft smile. "Hullo," she mewed quietly, "I'm Flora." Perhaps staying here was looking to be a better option than it had done back in the forest when she was alone with Berry.
SOOT WITH MYSTIC The large grey tom would've been lying if he'd said he hadn't jumped out of his fur at the sight of so many cats. Now, this had certainly not been what he'd expected when he first suggested finding the Clan. "Neither did I, kittypet," he admitted, forcing his fur to flatten as he could feel it standing up along his spine, "now let's just hope they're as accommodating of strangers as they look." He could quite clearly see cats from all different backgrounds as he gazed around: there was a startlingly young cream-coloured cat, likely still a kit, with a bright blue collar and bell around her neck, but there were also several much larger and leaner cats with scarred pelts and torn ears. "I suppose we should introduce ourselves," he reasoned out loud, exchanging a brief glance with Mystic. Soot stepped into the clearing first, pushing past the ferns; strangely, he felt an obligation to protect his young companion if this encounter was to go south, and so he made sure that Mystic was behind him.
((Ok that's one for my very lengthy and non-serious ceremony, so far so good. Also Lycaonia, I meant to apologize on the last post for technically auto-hitting Lilyfern but I thought the idea was fun and also a quick way to get them back in camp. For sure the only time I'll be doing that.
And everyone I def apologize for how far down the crap-posting hole I'm going, especially with Jasmine's stuff, but it's fun and I literally can't take things seriously so uhh, you're all wonderful for sticking with this.))
Mystic & Shorty with SootStaying close to the bigger tomcat, Mystic made his way into came. He wasn't quite sure who they should talk to first, no one really seemed to be in charge here. The sounds of splashing and laughter caught his attention as two cats came in from a different direction. Mystic thought that surely cats that had fun like that wouldn't be hostile. At least that what he hoped as an oddly small cat made a beeline for them. Tail flicking nervously, Mystic did his best to not look terrified about the situation. "Hey, looks like you got here just in time," the tabby said, treating the two as if they were old friends. "Our leader just got back from some big, important journey so I'm sure they're about to tell us all about that." Mystic blinked and looked from this strange cat to Soot, then back again. "Uhh wh-who is Jasmine?" It was the other tom's turn to blink before he let out a snort. "Oh right, you must've just got here. I'm still not familiar with everyone so I just assume every cat comes to the forest to join Jasmine's clan." The tabby pointed at the creek where the two cats had just rolled in from. "That big fluffy one is Jasmine. The spotted one is their friend Emiko, she's really good with plants..heard 'em say something about becoming a medicine cat. Scarred up tabby with them is Hawk..no wait, Eagle. And I'm Shorty. I'm sure you can just sit around and wait for a meeting to start, food's abundant if you're hungry." Badger, Pearl & Berry with Flora, Tawny & Oliver"Name's Badger," the large cat said quietly before nodding and getting back to work. Pearl followed suit in introducing herself. She noticed how on edge Flora seemed and thought she should try to lighten up the mood. "Berry forced you to join by threatening to talk forever, didn't she?" She snickered as the ginger started to stutter a protest before perking up. "Wh-did someone say Jasmine and Emi were back? I should go check on them!" Berry excused herself as she bolted out the nursery. Badger tutted the patchy cat, "That wasn't too nice." Even as he scolded the younger cat, there was a small hint of amusement on his features. Jasminestar with Lilyfern & EagleThe large cat turned to face Eagle, their joy clear on their face as they grabbed both sides of the tabby's face with their paws. "Eagle you beautiful soul, there's so much that happened."
(Okay, so, Jasminestar is incredibly hyper and I love it. And Eagle has no idea that he's about to become deputy, either. He has literally no idea that he's gonna be IMPORTANT.)
Tawny giggled quietly, but mostly stayed quiet. She had paused work on her nest in order to socialise - it was important to welcome new cats into the Clan. These were going to be her Clanmates, and before long, her kits' Clanmates. She had to establish relationships as soon as possible.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Uh, okay...?" Eagle replied tentatively. Jasmine was definitely hyper, and definitely excited. That meant that something good had happened, right? "Well, tell me all about it!" He continued confidently. This was a happy occasion - he knew that much.

Juniper heard conversation at some place in camp, but she wanted no part of it. She was too scared to interact with anyone and she didn't feel like lazing in the warriors' den. The tall cat slinked out of camp once again, planning to just wander around and clear her mind as she had done earlier. Her paws carried her to a small stream not far away. Her black and white body flopped down on a rock on the bank. Suddenly, Juniper's bright green eyes blinked back a tear without warning as she remembered that the creek was her sister's favorite place to go back in Morningclan. "I'll meet her again someday." she thought out loud, barely realizing her words.

((I also vote for long and not serious Also so many RPs on this site take themselves entirely too seriously, which is nice at times but it's so relaxing to come here and just let your hair down. Oh and no worries Cloud ^^ I don't mind the auto-hit thing so long as it, ya know, isn't an actual fight.)) LilyfernLilyfern giggled and bounced to her feet, shaking out her short coat. "Absolutely fine," She chirped in return, scanning the Camp. She was delighted to see even more cats than when they had left. She held in more giggles as Jasminestar accosted Eagle, slinking over to nudge shoulders with her friend. "Yeah Jasminestar," She purred slyly, grinning at Eagle, "Tell him all about it." ShadowShaking his head in amusement as Berry led Flora onwards, the large tom snagged a mouse and followed them to the nursery. He slipped by and nudged Tawny gently, setting the mouse down next to her. "You should take a break and eat," He murmured lowly, snorting fondly at his Clanmate's interaction. He paused for a second, before smiling warmly down at the young Queen he had become so fond of. "Oh and good morning," He rumbled, chuckling slightly. OliverOliver snickered under his breath as Berry darted out of the nursery. He peeked out from behind Badger, tilting his head curiously at the new Queen. "'lo," He murmured, ducking his head shyly, "'m Oliver." He still felt a little out of sorts, although building nests had helped. Grabbing another mouthful of moss, he moved to a clear spot and glanced up at Flora. "Here okay?" He asked, setting the moss down, "For a nest. If you're staying."

(Long and not-serious works for me lmao)
Shrike blinked as the two cats came tumbling into camp. He looked around, expecting the others to spring into action. A few did, but when they ran over they exchanged greetings instead of claws.
Well, I guess that settles that, he mused, and lay back down to finish off the bird.
Xena, on the other hand, darted over with some of the others, but was overcome with sudden shyness and skidded to a halt about a fox-length away, ducking her chin. These cats were important, she realized. Like, really important.

Eagle's eyes lit up as soon as he heard Jasminestar's new name. "You got your nine lives!" He mewed excitedly. "That's amazing! Are we an official Clan now, then?" He asked, still extremely happy. He was excited to finally be a warrior - he'd even chosen his new name. He was going to be Eagleheart.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Good morning to you, too," Tawny purred, rubbing her pelt up against Shadow's in a fond manner. "Are you going to stay with the Clan?" She asked tentatively. "I mean... It's nice here, isn't it?" She was going to stay no matter what, but it would be a lot better if Shadow was staying, too. She had become attached, in a way.
Winchester had been sitting near the edge of camp, thinking to himself. The Clan had gained plenty of cats - they must have twenty to thirty cats in the camp right now, and there'd be more on the way after the kits were born. His thoughts drifted towards the cats that he'd already met - his original Clanmates, Tawny and Spirit, all of the cats from the Twolegplace... They'd all make brilliant Clan cats. He was sure of it.
(I'm all for long and non-serious too! Sounds like it'll be a blast, especially with this lot!)
FLORA Albeit a little overwhelmed by the sheer amount of cats surrounding her, Flora was touched by their politeness and how quickly they had welcomed her into the camp. With a nest of my own, too! "Thank you, that's very kind of you," she mewed gratefully to the ginger tom - Oliver, yes - and offered the seemingly nervous cat a small smile. At Pearl's snarky comment she laughed, her whiskers twitching. "She did talk a lot, but she's very friendly and surprisingly persuasive," she chuckled. She already felt a lot more comfortable than she had done five minutes ago, which was surprising - she hadn't expected such a warm welcome from these cats. Some commotion in the main camp drew her attention and she looked up, craning her neck to see what was going on. Two cats had slipped through the ferns that she figured marked the entrance to the camp: a small, pretty bengal with pale fur and a larger cat with mottled silver-and-white fur. From the way the group seemed to cluster around them, Flora figured one of these cats was the leader, and the other had at least some importance within the group. She hoped that Badger, Pearl or Oliver might clarify, but she was also keen to speak to these cats herself at some point.
BUMBLE AND COBWEB At the sound of excited voices - some Bumble recognised as some of the cats who had introduced themselves to her and some she did not - the little tabby bounded over to see what all the fuss was about. "Mister Eagle, is this Jasmine?" she asked with an awe-struck gasp, addressing the pale brown tom but staring wide-eyed up at the large silver-and-white cat in front of her. This was the Clan leader! She stifled an excited giggle, her tail waving erratically as she forced herself to stay as still as possible. The other cat who had arrived was a lot smaller than the silver-and-white cat, but still bigger than Bumble. I think that's the medicine cat - what did mister Shadow say her name was again? She couldn't remember, but she knew that Cobweb would be really excited to meet her. She whipped around in search of her friend and beckoned him over with rapid paw movements, practically vibrating with excitement.
Hesitantly, Cobweb padded after Bumble, wincing with every step as though it hurt his paws to approach the new cats. This was definitely their leader, Jasmine, he realised as he looked up at the silver-and-white cat. And this...this must be their medicine cat, Emiko! He blinked at the smaller cat, surprised to see that her fur, rather than being a standard colour one might associate with forest cats, was a very pretty pale shade with the dark rosettes that signified a bengal. His own point markings and cloudy grey fur suddenly seemed a lot less out of place, and the tall tom cracked his first smile of the day.
SOOT Soot was surprised to say the least at the friendliness of the cat who approached them. The unfamiliar tom had dark fur and half a tail, was unusually short and fittingly introduced himself as Shorty. Soot peered down at him almost owlishly, but quickly found his voice. "Came in from the city," he explained to Shorty, "literally only just turned up." He looked at Mystic, searching the young tom's face for any readable expression that might betray how he felt about this situation. "Kittypet here ran away from his twolegs and straight into me, and I offered to bring him out here to you guys so he'd have a place to stay and some other cats around. I...don't know whether I'll be staying or not - I'm essentially just his bodyguard for now. I'm Soot, by the way, and this is Mystic," he told the short tom. He glanced over at the pile of prey in the middle of the clearing, and was admittedly taken aback by just how much food these cats had. "You heard the man, go have your fill," he encouraged his young companion, indicating the pile with a jab of his tail.
(Guys, we have 21 cats in the Clan! This is great!)
"Yes, this is Jasminestar," Eagle mewed to Bumble. He was fond of the young she-cat - her energy was definitely contagious. "She leads the Clan. And this is our medicine cat, Emiko," He continued. "Unless you have a new name as well?" He asked, looking towards Emiko - or really, Lilyfern.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Spirit noticed the commotion towards the centre of camp, and immediately realised that Jasmine and Emiko were back. She recognised Bumble, too... Maybe she should go and see what the fuss was about. She tentatively padded over, standing a short distance away - enough that it was obvious she was listening to what the other cats were saying.

BUMBLE Bumble gazed up at Jasminestar with eyes as round as moons, her little paws scuffling in the dirt as she struggled to contain her excitement. "Woah!" she squeaked, bouncing on the spot, "That's so cool! You're so important!" She glanced at Jasminestar's neck, and then at Emiko's, noticing that neither of them wore a collar like she did. "Uhm, mister Eagle," she started hesitantly, "should I get rid of my collar?" In all honesty, she didn't really want to get rid of it, but from what she had seen no other cats in the camp wore collars, and her blue one stood out rather shockingly against her cream fur.

"Well," Eagle mewed gently, after a moment's thought. "That's up to you. Your collar isn't stopping you from doing things like hunting and fighting, so if you want to keep it, that's fine. The only real danger that could come from you keeping your collar is if it got snagged on something and you got stuck, or if it broke off and got lost. If you decide to take it off, though, I think that you'd be very welcome to keep it in camp. All cats come from somewhere, and your collar is a signature of where you came from."

((Yea I imagine Jasmine gets insanely hyper when things are going great, otherwise they're at a general level of goof. Serious isn't my strong point in most cases, but in certain scenes I can manage.))
Mystic & Shortywith Soot
"I see," Shorty said, looking between the two cats. "Seems like your stories are similar to some others around here. We have a young queen who ran into a street cat, now you can barely separate them, and my sister was a kittypet just until last night. She's not the only one either." His ear twitched as he picked up on what he could of the conversation going on around the creek. Wasn't much considering the distance though.
Even with the casual vibe Shorty gave off, Mystic was still hesitant about leaving Soot's side. What if the older cat turned around the moment he did? "I- uh I ate before I ran off," he lied. Before anything else could be said, the large mottled cat by the creek was calling for a meeting. "Oh hey, we should go to that," he said while pushing Soot toward the big tree.
Jasminestar with the entire clan
Taking Lilyfern's hints, Jasminestar released Eagle's face and placed their paws back on the ground. They'd been about to speak when a very small cat, especially compared to them, approached. "Em's new name is Lilyfern, isn't it so fitting?" they mrrowed excitedly to Eagle before looking at these pale kits and nodding. Their mood flipped to something closer to the serious side, "Whatever you do with your collar is your choice, no one here will say anything against you." They then gave a warm smile. "Oh, and I'm no more important than any other cat here, don't let my being leader fool you. This just means that everyone else is so important that I'll protect them with my very life. Oh! Speaking of that.."
The fluffy cat charged off toward the tree that housed Lilyfern's den. The roots above the den were large and Jasminestar jumped on the tallest one. It was a spot they thought was easily accessible but still tall enough to be seen and heard by a clan. A good spot for a leader to stand for meetings.
"All cats, gather near for an important meeting!" they yowled, green eyes gleaming as they watched the cats they'd already come to love and some new ones crowd around. "Today, Emiko and I found the lost connection to StarClan! I cannot give the details of what happened, but I can say that with my ancestors' blessing I have been given nine lives and a new name to serve all of you, and Emiko was given the blessing of the last medicine cat and her own new name!" They paused as some of the cats cheered. "From now on, we are Jasminestar and Lilyfern. Before I go around renaming all of you, does anyone have any questions?"

Eagle immediately trotted up to the tree, his tail arching over his back. He had no questions to ask, so he simply joined the crowd, watching the rest of the cats eagerly. He was excited to get his new name and finally become a warrior - he'd been waiting for this moment all his life.
Tawny heard the call from inside the nursery, and suddenly sprinted full-force towards the rest of the cats. This was it! The Clan was finally forming! She'd heard cats talking about new names earlier, and she was excited. Even if it was just a slightly different name, she'd have something to separate now from her time with Smog.
Winchester casually walked over to the rest of the cats. He wasn't worried about anything much - he'd overheard that Jasminestar had gotten her nine lives, and that Lilyfern was officially the medicine cat. There wasn't much that could go wrong now, right? So why worry?
Spirit tentatively joined the rest of the cats. She suddenly realised something, and she was torn. Should she blend in and ignore her curiosity, or speak up? Jasminestar had asked for questions... She finally decided to let a small shred of confidence overrule the rest of her, and she pushed to the front. "I have a question!" She spoke up. "What will happen to those of us who are less able, or were kittypets before arriving here? Will all cats be trained in the same way?"

BUMBLE Bumble nodded thoughtfully, looking down at the bright blue band around her neck. "I...wasn't sure if I wanted to stay when mister Shadow found us in the forest, because I didn't want to leave my housefolk," she admitted, her voice unusually small and timid, "but I think...I think I want to stay now. I want to be Bumblepaw, like mister Shadow said!" She beamed up at Cobweb, who had remained at her side when the rest of the cats had begun to mill towards the tree where Jasminestar stood. She head-butted the grey tom in the direction of the tree, chirping happily, before bounding over to the meeting. She skidded to a halt close to Spirit, and looked up at Jasminestar with wide eyes.
COBWEB Cobweb was surprisingly quick to follow Bumble, but he moved straight past the cream-coloured she-cat even when she stopped beside Spirit. He kept his gaze fixed imploringly on Emiko - no, wait, Lilyfern - rather than Jasminestar; he had already decided that he did not want to become a warrior apprentice, and just hoped that he would have the chance to ask for such an opportunity. What would my name be? he wondered, brow furrowed in thought, Maybe Cobwebpaw? No, that's a mouthful. What about Webpaw? Or maybe I should come up with something new and completely different? I don't want to be the same cat I was in the city, because Cobweb was always such a coward. He sighed, shoulders drooping as nothing sprang to mind.
SOOT The large tom frowned at his young companion, twitching an ear. "If you're sure, kittypet," he shrugged after a moment's silence, "let's go then." Making sure that Mystic was right behind him, Soot made his way over to the tree where the rest of the cats had clustered together and paused at the edge of the group. He still hadn't decided on whether or not he'd be staying, so he figured that standing close to the tree would give everyone the wrong impression - and it'd be pretty rude of him if he decided to leave anyway. "What's your new name gonna be, kittypet?" he asked with a rusty purr as the young tom came closer, "Doubt I'll be able to call you kittypet much longer, considerin' you're gonna be a Clan cat and all."
FLORA Flora padded after Tawny as the younger queen scampered to the base of the tree, her ears pricked nervously. She had pretty much settled on staying, especially after witnessing firsthand the security that the Clan could offer her and her kits when they were born, which wouldn't be too far away now. When the young white cat spoke up, Flora glanced briefly at her, then around at the rest of the cats who had gathered: Badger, Oliver, Pearl, Berry and the others she knew by name were all there, as were many cats that she did not yet know. This was really beginning to feel like a potential home, she realised, as she gazed around at all the cats with whom she had become acquainted.

((OOh a cat to dethrone Badger from his oldest cat position! Perfect, we certainly will be needing a clan grandpa to watch over all these kits we're gonna have and I love him already :3
With Soot not being sure and off to the side he'll be going last and get to have an actual conversation. I think with the rest I'll be breezing over things in a summary format? Generalizing including my own cats to keep the dialogue down once I actually get started.
Also, sylveeon, what's Juniper's current status? Is she going to be with the clan and about to get her warrior name, or is she rouging it up for a bit before joining?)) JasminestarHearing the young Spirit voice her concerns, Jasminestar took on their caring voice. "Each cat will be trained to be the best warriors they can be, in ways that suit their needs." With another warm smile, they added, "I wouldn't have coaxed you away from your safe home if I thought we'd just be forcing you to stay in camp." "Any of the newer cats have anything they'd like to say? I'm sorry I haven't stopped to talk to you yet, this is just very exciting and I got ahead of myself." Mystic with SootStopping a little bit a ways from the crowd with Soot, Mystic rolled his shoulders. "Not sure. I guess Mystic doesn't sound like a forest cat name and honestly I don't want more things to remind me about those Twolegs," he considered. "What about you?" he asked with a glance. He hoped the casual speaking would cause Soot to subconsciously decide to stay in the forest with him. Still he prepared himself for the worst.

(Sounds great! Piketooth was actually a character from this Warriors spinoff ff I wrote ages ago and I found the document with the allegiances in it like last night and was like ??? new character ideas??? absolutely)
SOOT Soot snorted, his whiskers twitching in amusement as he watched the young tom for a moment. "You make a fair point, kittypet," he chuckled, flashing Mystic a lopsided grin, "we should think of a new name for ya, save Jasminestar the trouble." He observed the large silver-and-white cat as they addressed someone closer to the front of the crowd, soon finding the small white she-cat with the crippled hind leg that he'd seen milling around the edges of the clearing earlier. At Mystic's question, he frowned, looking back at the grey tom. "To be honest with you, kittypet, I'm not sure. Don't really fancy going back and having to kick some mangy fleabag out of my alley again, they're all more trouble than they're worth round my block," he admitted, lifting his hind leg to scratch himself behind the ears, "but I'm not so keen on being around all these cats - had no idea there'd be so many when I agreed to bring you out here."
FLORA The she-cat paused, wondering whether or not she actually did have a worthwhile question, before figuring that she may as well ask and get it over with. "My kits will be born soon, how will they be named? Will we queens be able to name them?" she asked, hesitant to raise her voice as she had not been introduced to many of the Clan yet.

((Ah using cats you have prior attachments to is so good! I only have a handful of all my old cats from other roleplays saved somewhere, such good babs.))
Mystic with Soot
Understanding, Mystic nodded as he sat and flopped his tail against the grass. "Seems like they'd not bother you as much for the best spot in camp," he said in a last ditch effort to convince Soot to stay. As he did, a moth landed on his nose. The young cat crossed his eyes to get a look of the simple looking bug. It almost blended with him, having gray and white wings.
Jasminestar
Turning their head to look at the newest nursery addition, Jasminestar swished their tail. "The only requirement for kit names is that they end in -kit. What it starts with is up to the mother," they answered before going over how clan names were chosen once more for the newer cats.

(oh BIG mood, 90% of my characters are from a warriors fanfic I've been sitting on for a while. Including poor Shrike. Xena is new, though, lmao - I still have no idea what her clan name should be.)
Xena leaned over to Shrike. "I feel like I should have questions," she whispered. "I don't know what to ask, though."
Shrike shrugged. "I don't know either," he admitted. "I guess we'll just wait and see."

((Before we get round to naming, I'm rethinking Shadow's name. Shadowwalker seems more like a bad sci-fi villain species than a Warrior Cat >.> I'm hovering between Shadowfrost, Shadowpounce, Shadowstep and Shadowstorm. What do you guys think?))
Lilyfern
Nearly vibrating with energy, Lilyfern puffed up proudly as she watched her friend ascend the roots to address the whole gathering, the future Warriors of SnakeClan. She could barely contain the nervous, excited giggles that wanted to bubble from her throat but managed to shove the urge down, wanting to appear more dignified for all this. Her tail curled around her paws as she watched Jasminestar ease her Clan's worries, but the feeling of eyes on her made her twist around curiously. Her ears perked up slightly as she saw one of the new cats gazing at her, something in his eyes making her tilt her head and lean in closer.
"This is all very exciting, don't you think?" She murmured lowly, voice as light and friendly as she could make it above the purr that was rumbling in her chest, "Being at the start of history being made. The beginning of a new and wonderful story for the forest. And us, of course." Shaking her head, amused at herself, she quirked a smile at the young tom. "I'm Lilyfern," She introduced herself, eyes soft, "I don't believe we've met. Did you arrive while Jasminestar and I were away?"
Mimi and Oliver
Ears twitching around, Mimi grinned as she saw the newly named Jasminestar calling for all of them. She heaved herself to her paws, smiling as Oliver moved to her side, silently helping to support her. The past few days had been filled with more activity than she'd had in a long while. They sat near the new Queen, Flora from what Oliver had whispered to her on the way over. Her question made Mimi fluff up happily, intrigued to know the answer herself. "Good question," Mimi murmured, leaning over, "I never even thought to ask about the naming of new kits." Oliver peeked his head out from behind his mother, quirking a small smile and nodding in agreement before ducking back behind her.
Shadow
Shadow paused as Tawny asked him if he was going to stay. He had been pretty sure earlier, but this was now very real and it made him think. He chuckled as Tawny took off excitedly and followed at a slow lope. He sat beside the young Queen, strange feeling he hadn't had in years swirling in his chest as he looked at her. It suddenly came to him and it made him soften, all at once and make his decision. Even after just over a day, Tawny felt like family. Like a sister or perhaps, given how older he was, even starting towards what he imagined having a daughter would feel like. Shaking his head, he casually remarked, "I'm thinking I'll keep my name as the first part of my new one, but what about the second part?"

(Imma have her become a warrior and get her name and all that jazz cloudheart) The warrior had immediately snapped out of her trance as she heard the leader's call. Juniper leaped to her paws, barely nearing the high-rock on time. She was unsure what the gathering was about due to her tardiness, but was still excited to participate in the first clan meeting.

SOOT "Hard to argue with that," Soot purred, rolling back his shoulders as he shifted into a more comfortable and relaxed sitting position, "maybe sticking around won't be so bad. Still wanna see how this whole renaming gig goes - if they start handing out stupid names I'm the first cat outta here." He chuckled and curled his tail around his paws as he waited for Jasminestar to speak again. The fluttering of a small object in his peripheral vision drew his attention, however, and he turned his head to watch as the fuzzy moth landed almost perfectly on Mystic's nose. "Hey, kittypet," he chortled, showing his teeth in a wonky grin, "looks just like you. Maybe they should put 'Moth' in your new name."
COBWEB Cobweb's eyes widened as he realised that Lilyfern was talking to him, and in his flustered rush to respond after being caught staring he stumbled over his words as he tried to get them out. "U-Uh, nice to name you- I mean, nice to meet you," he spluttered, pelt burning with embarrassment, "I'm, well, uh, my name's Cobweb. I came with Shadow and a couple of others." He took a few small, tentative steps closer, his blue eyes rounded as he gazed up at Lilyfern. "I, uh, actually wanted to ask you...you're the medicine cat, right? A-Are medicine cats allowed to have apprentices? I don't think I want to be a warrior..." he trailed off, his voice softening as he flattened his ears to his head a little shamefully - what if he was scorned for opting out of being a warrior so quickly? Anybody could've overheard him, and even if Lilyfern was as kind him in her answer as she had been in her greeting, she might not think he was up to the job. "I know about some herbs, like marigold and catmint - they had it in the city and I liked to, uh, well- I collected them," he explained in a much quieter voice, almost a whisper. He felt as pale as a sheet talking to such an important cat, and he had a gut feeling the nausea would start to kick in soon. Wait, Palepaw could work - it sounds better than Cobwebpaw, that's for sure.
FLORA Pleased with the response she received from Jasminestar, Flora purred and settled down where she sat, curling her tail around her paws. She murmured a greeting to the older queen as she sat down - although she had not been introduced to her formally, from what she remembered of Berry's very fast-paced tour earlier, her name was Mimi and she was Oliver's mother. "Thank you," she purred, smiling warmly at the older she-cat. It was nice, she realised, to be surrounded by other queens, and she had a feeling it would be even nicer to be surrounded by their kits too, when they all arrived. She was a little startled - although pleasantly so - when Oliver peeked out from behind his mother and smiled at her, and returned the ginger tom's gesture with a louder purr and a friendly twitch of her whiskers. I really like the cats here, she thought, this will be an excellent home for my little ones.
PIKE The elderly tom cracked open one dull amber eye, not moving from where he lounged in the sun a few tail-lengths away from the tree. All the voices raised in excitement had roused him from his nap, and he was admittedly a little curious as to what was going on. Ah, mousedung, late to the party as usual, he realised with an audible groan. Pike pushed himself to his paws and tottered over on slightly shaky legs to plop himself down beside a pair of young cats: one a little tortoiseshell and the other much taller and creamy-furred. "Nice to meet ya," he rasped, raising his tail in greeting to the pair, "'m Pike." He was glad the Clan had attracted so many young cats - at least there'll be a good few someones around to bring me dinner when I get too old to hunt it. He had a feeling many of the cats in the clearing would argue that he was already too old to hunt it, but he wasn't so keen to start spending every day lying around in a nest just yet.
