I love all the characters. They're on such a close tie that I honestly struggle.
All three of the contestants and William are pretty much tied.

OHSHC was my first anime, other than Pokemon and Digimon! I really loved it, and it's one of the few dubs I can stand haha

Haha, I feel like we all do that at times. I recently just binged a bunch of super hero cartoons so I can't judge XD unfortunately now that school has started up again I'm almost always busy rip

It's been awhile, but how've you all been? I've been so busy lately, I can already tell this year is gonna go by crazy fast. It's just strange when you reach the point where you're like, "a year? Yeah, that's not too long." I don't think I can get used to that.
Anyways, any shows in particular you're excited for this year? I've not been watching any anime recently, but I'm really looking forward to some of the shows they'll be airing this year. I'm trying to be patient now so I can binge them later on, heh. I've been watching some good dramas recently, though.

My current favorite is JoJo, but I'm also currently enjoying watching Cowboy Bebop and Hunter x Hunter. Some of my other favorites are Yuri!!! On Ice, Carole & Tuesday, and Aggretsuko. I used to be a huge fan of Free!, but now I look back on it with... mixed feelings.

I did watch 50% Off back in 2016. Itโsโฆ itโs an experience.
Iโm only 15 episodes in on HxH. I thought that arc with the main four + that Tonpa guy in the tower dragged, and Iโm glad to be out of it, but I love all the main characters. Leorio is probably my favorite so far because heโs the most normal person in this crazy world lol

Haha true, I used to watch it way more than I should have and can basically quote it.
HxH gets really good! Just wait till you get to the Chimera Ant arc.... Leorio is a fan favorite, and it's well deserved ^^ I'm partial towards Killua, but he's been my favorite since it came out so *shrugs*. You're watching the 2011 version? Or the older one?

The 2011 version. I know basically what the Chimera Ants are, and Meruem sounds like an interesting character. But I have a loooooooong way to go before they show up.
Your signature is adorable, by the way. I watched Haikyuu around the same time as Free! (2016ish) because my friend was obsessed with it. I thought it was a good show. My only complaint is that applying the battle shonen structure to high school volleyball made it seem repetitive. 99% of the show takes place in a gym, you know?

Thanks! Haikyuu is easily my favorite anime, and I've seen like 300 plus anime lol. I totally get what you mean though. The sports anime genre in general has some fatal weaknesses, but once you get past that they're usually pretty enjoyable.
Speaking of genres, do you have a preferred genre to watch?

I used to favor sports and male idol anime, but grew tired of them and now most of the shows I like tend to be seinen or less cliched shonen. At this point, I'm mostly watching the highly regarded shows.

Oooo! What's the plot? (If there is one. ) It's a slightly surreal series about three girls who form an anime club at their strange high school. One has a wild imagination for worldbuilding and drawing machines, one specializes in figure motion and expression, and one is just in it for the money. I applaud them for letting 2 of the 3 girls be drawn as unattractive and not making the series all moe-style like the similarly-premised Shirobako. There are extensive fantasy sequences that change things up a bit. The main girl was inspired to make anime by seeing one as a child that really resonated with her, which is actually much like how Warriors inspired me to write. Basically, it's all about friendship and imagination and I'm a sucker for those. |
