Hmm not really. Higurashi really relied on gore for it's scares, and imo Happy Sugar Life was just unsettling the whole time. I mean, there was a fair amount of blood but it wasn't nearly as reliant. It leaned more into the psychological part of it.

As long as it's not slow going I'm up for either since I love the horror genre! If I had to choose tho I'd go psychological horror. They tend to stick with me longer and are more memorable. I think The Promised Neverland is going to be another interested horror show this season, and there has only been one bloody scene in it. Honestly it gives me the creeps every time I watch it haha

Right, I would talk to you about Zombieland Saga but I haven't quite gotten to it yet. I'm going through anime at such a slow crawl rn that I don't really have anything else to say about the shows I AM watching, except that Gridman probably isn't going to get much better at this point and Rising of the Shield Hero is good causes it separates itself from the pack.
