Sorry! Busy day mixed with fritzy phone))
Drake nodded in agreement to Mysha. “As Mysha said, they have a great family to help keep her on the right path. She will be fine.” He said confidently as they continued to walk. At Mysna’s last comment he leaned in and whispered to her, “Neither do I, love. But so far all he’s done is voice his opinions. He’s entitled to those.”

Mysha still looked unsure, but decided to make no further comment. Soon, they were brought to a sort of enclosure. Walls of earth reached up to make some sort of incomplete dome, plants even growing from the highest stretches. There were dog statues in the middle of the huge clearing, four of them facing outward. They seemed to be protecting a slab of rock, and on the surprisingly smooth surface were crude images. Humans putting together what looked to be chain links, using what seemed to be black fire and what looked to be metal, but it was unclear what kind. The man snickered to himself. "I trusted the dogs. They said I would know the heroes arrived when I saw black fire, and I did! You'll help beat the monster!" His eyes were bright with excitement for a moment before turning serious again. Mysha sighed, looking at the rock. "We have no idea how to actually start such a process though. We don't even have the metal needed to make the chains!"

"Cool. And how do you judge my character." he asked. "Im just bored looking for something to do. I dont really need anything from the market right now. What about you, what brings you here." he asked her. The apples Scarada just bough bought looked tasty. He checked his pockets but only had enough for one. So he bought the best one he could find, took a couple bites out of it before tossing it to Fusion.
Fusion happily gulped down the half-eaten apple not really paying attention to anything. He felt a slight tap on his shoulder, he turned his head to look but saw nothing but strangers. Assuming he just thought he felt something, he continued to look around for anything suspicious.

“Yes we don’t have some of the necessary components, but we are still closer than before.” He said, pulling his wife close to try and help her calm down. “Do we know that the base metal is? Or is there a sample of the finished product or the bases?” He asked as he looked at the painting.
Scarada smirked a little. “Well, if you were here to mug me you would have pulled out your own knife or something else. If you were a coward you would have run away cowering. But you, and your dragon, stood up for yourselves. Even though you didn’t have a weapon. You’re willing to be who you know you are and you don’t like backing down. It’s honrable.” She replied with an easy shrug. “As for the market... Well we decided to come and get some supplies. Food, some other things.” Scarada said with a shrug, taking a small step forward to be a tiny bit close to the man. “Are you doing anything for the rest of the day?” She asked happily.
Chrysalis smirked a little bit, getting some enjoyment from this. She reached over with her tail and tapped Fusion’s opposite shoulder a couple more times before retracting her tail next to beside her.

The man shook his head in a frustrated manner. "The monster destroyed the chains. None left. The dogs showed me." He tapped his head a few times as if that would be any help. Brightening up, he said "They also said that the same ones cannot be made! Better ones can be made!" As he looked around frantically, Mysha wondered if there was someone looking for him. "But the monster must give you the metal. Metal is blood. Blood is the bind..." He snickered softly, looking back at the dogs. Mysha narrowed her eyes, saying to Larkes and Drake "I think he means we need its blood. And a lot of it." As if in confirmation, the man nodded vigorously, eyes bright.

Drake grunted and Shard looked down. “That could be complicated. That beast’s skin looked super thick and hard. I doubt piercing weapons would do anything. And fire and explosions could corrupt the blood. Oh boy...” he muttered as he looked down.

Mysha looked determined. "We'll find away. Maybe it has a weakspot in its hide or something. If this guy is telling the truth, looks like we have no other options." The man nodded quickly as of to confirm, telling them "The dogs said you would find a way, so I know you will. You have too..."

Drake nodded slowly as he looked at the man and the paintings. “Thank you, sir.” He said. He then turned to Mysha and their dragon’s and Lark and Aldnoa. “We can do this.”

Mysha nodded in agreement with Drake before looking over at the stranger, who added "Don't forget about my warnings too!" He then turned away from them, leaving them to themselves. Mysha looked over at Drake, silently saying it was time to go. Looking back at the group, she asked "Should we try going after it now? Or wait?"

Max gave a little smirk when she stepped a bit closer. He didn't take a step forward quite yet but answered with, "Well I'm not sure. I might have to check my schedule because I can be pretty busy sometimes." His tone was jokingly as he knew that he had nothing to do for the rest of the day besides lazily sitting in his home. "What about you? Any plans for the pretty girl and her dragon?" He asked, the small smile still on his face.
Fusion quickly turned again still unable to find who was tapping him. "He turned to Chrysalis, " Have you seen anyone coming up behind me?" he asked her. He couldn't think of any dragons he knew that were small enough to hide that quickly from him.

Drake grunted softly, looking down slowly. "I... don't know..." He said as he looked around slowly and sighed a little bit.
Larkes looked around slowly and then at the two adult rulers. "If I may suggest, I would think now would be our best chance to at least get a sample of the blood. Before it has the chance to get to full strength." He suggested.
Scarada shrugged for a couple times. "Well w don't have anything to do today. Would you like to hang out? Maybe help the 'pretty girl' with her shopping? Then get some food or something?" She suggested happily.
Chrysalis was looking in a different direction, then turned back to Fusion when he asked a question. "Hm?" She asked innocently. "No, I haven't seen anything." She said. "Why?"

Aldnoa stepped forward and nodded. It was sort of his thing, the blood identification and other science ideals. Magic was a possibility, but too easy! Where was the challenge, the scientific discovery!?

Mysha looked over at Larkes and Aldnoa. That wouldn't be a bad idea, though she knew there'd be no purpose of getting just a sample. "For the sake of looking at it, I suppose. It isn't like we can go around replicating blood." Or whatever the substance once. Or maybe they could find an alternative for the sake of not wasting time? Sighing, she looked over at Drake as she decided "Alright then, let's go."

Drake and Larkes each nodded and each moved to their dragon’s. “Then that’s what we must do.” Drake said as he hopped aboard Shard.

Mysha climbed onto Ma'ait, grumbling as the russet-furred man watched them curiously. At least he'd helped them out so far, and she sighed as she turned away, Ma'ait spreading her wings and taking flight.
(Wanna still rp the young dragons too or something? Have them sneak out to find rabbits like Xandrite suggested?)

Sure, if you don’t like. Though I might have Scaws stay behind. Could you start?))
Shard took off after his mate, soon catching up, and Larkes got up to Aldnoa and asked him to take off as well. As they flew towards the beast, Drake was covered in black flames and his armored formed again. “We got this one chance.” He said solemnly.

(That's fine, and yeah)
Mysha looked over at Drake. "We'll be fine," she said, smiling a little behind her mask. "Hopefully everything that man was saying will come to be true, and we'll beat the monster." And then they could go back to their lives with each other. "I like our chances either way."
Xandrite had insisted they sneak out. It was just her and Pyre this time though, as Magna had decided to stay behind with Scaws to keep him company. "They're missing out," she insisted as they flew toward the north forest rather than the south, where their parents had gone. "We get first pick if we catch anything!"

Drake nodded and continued to think about what they should do. “Do you think Ma’ait would be able to replicate the material the chains are made of if we get some of the beast’s blood?” He asked.
Shard looked over at his mate, having the same thoughts as his rider. “Do you think that could work, love?”
Pyre nodded and continued to walk alongside his sister, looking around happily. “Yes that’s true. We’ll also be the ones getting our tails whooped when mom and dad find out.”

Mysha blinked slowly. She hadn't thought of that. "I don't see why not," she said, looking ahead as she thought. "It would be a material, after all." Tilting her head, she continued "That would be a good idea, if it works. We wouldn't have to go back after that sample except to confront it with the chains."
Ma'ait hummed in thought as the humans spoke to each other. "Maybe. Hopefully there's no side effects or anything." Some materials put a strain, but it shouldn't be anything serious."
Xandrite sniffed. "They won't! Magna and Scaws won't give us up. Well, I know Magna won't. Scaws might. Honestly, both of them probably would if our parents pressed them enough." Eventually, she touched down on some grass, looking around curiously. Sniffing the air, her wings twitched as she tried to catch a scent from the times when their parents brought them rabbits and squirrels when they were really small.

Drake nodded as his dragon continued flying, apparently communicating with the female dragon flying with them. He went silent again, mentally preparing for what lay ahead.
Shard nodded slowly and looked ahead again. “As long as it is t too much for you...” he murmured as they flew.
Pyre looked around as they arrived at their hunting place and he too started sniffing around, trying to find scents.

Mysha looked down below as they all flew, trying to keep an eye out for anything. She then saw some sort of wooden structures in the distance, like some makeshift village or camp. It became increasingly hot in the air too, but not yet uncomfortable and definitely not to their dragons. She could see the huge beast in the distance, just laying down, seemingly asleep. "Should we just go right in and try to get the blood? Or sneak in somehow?"
Xandrite caught scent of a rabbit, looking excited as she headed toward it. She smelled some other animal too, but she didn't much of it. Seeing a little brown rabbit in the distance, she nudged Pyre and pointed with her tail, mouthing the question if he wanted to try for it or let her do it.

Drake looked ahead as they neared the beast, also having spotted it. "I don't know... If we could get in there silently I'd say we should do it." He said.
Pyre looked over as his sister nudged him and he looked out in the direction she was, now spotting the rabbit as well. He shook his head a little and tapping his head on her shoulder, signaling she should go for it.

Mysha looked around, mainly figuring out a way for their dragons to get as close as possible without being spotted. "Can you and Shard do that thing you did when Ghio first came after me? I don't think we can get close, let alone near that thing, without some sort of cover." And the darkness could perhaps hide them for an initial attack at least or something.
Xandrite nodded once before creeping forward. The rabbit was just nosing around the grass until it suddenly looked around, but it was too late. The white youngling had sprung forward, closing the distance easily. The rabbit outran her for a short distance but she soon caught up, killing it quickly with a bite. Xandrite looked proud of herself, even though it was just a rabbit.

Drake grunted, thinking about it. “We haven’t done it in so long... but I think we could.” He said, pondering the idea. “But what moon phase is it?” He asked.
Pyre watched the whole thing go down and when his sister stood back up with the rabbit in jaw, he flustered his wings and trotted over to her.

Mysha shrugged. "Waxing gibbous, I think?" Did the moon actually have to be out? Shrugging her shoulders, she said "We can wait until nightfall if you'll think that'll help. It shouldn't be too long."
Xandrite set the rabbit down proudly, green eyes bright. "Too easy!" she said with a twitch of her wings. Looking around, she continued "Your turn, Py! Go on!" She gestured around with a paw as she watched him brightly. "I'm sure there's some more around."
