Oracan was walking down the bank of the forest river, listening to the roar of the water as he sniffed the air for some of the special leafy greens he liked to eat. He watched as some small creatures scurry away and he shrugged, still following the scent of plants he’d honed in on. He didn’t even notice that he was heading in the direction of Onyx.
((Yeah we should))

"Alright girl I think we are all set." Amanda said as she finished tying stuff onto Scarlet's back and fastened the harness onto Scarlet.

“WAIT!!!” Ocean cried out as he saw Scarlet and then her rider up ahead. “I—“ He was nearly there, and severely out of breath. “I— found——- it!” He said, huffing as he slowed to a stop in front of them and doubled over as he heaved for air.

Kace had heard voices, and approached cautiously. He didn't like being around others, especially when they might be threats. He emerged from the trees, a sword in his hand. He frowned when he saw a girl, and then a dragon beside her. Dragon. The boy jumped when another emerged, roaring something. "Who are you?" he called to all three.
((Can humans and dragons understand eachother or is it more of two completely different species with their own language?))

Onyx wasn't paying attention to any foreign noises, as usual, and glanced around. Perhaps she could catch a fish from the river? That might satisfy her hunger a bit. The black dragon walked into the river, her large feet leaving prints in the wet sand. A few fish were nearby, so she remained still.

((Ocean’s a human, sorry 🤣. And they’re two independent languages that only a very, very select few humans can speak and understand both))

Oracan kept walking, then looked up as he saw Onyx laying beside the water and he smirked. He dodged to the side and blended in with the trees then once he was close enough he took a small breath then breathed out, green flame coming from his mouth that danced across the green grass and the water but burned on the sand and unnatural materials, some of the flames reaching just beside Onyx so that she wouldn’t get hurt.

((Oh, okay! :lol))
Onyx jumped at the random flames beside her, and she looked around for the source. She knew it had to have been a dragon, possibly Oracan, so she remained alert until she spotted a familiar being among the trees. "Oracan, you had me startled for a moment there!" she laughed light-heartedly, lifting her head.

Oracan let out a series of reverberating laughs as he came out from the tree cover and waddled over to her, slowly laying down beside her much smaller form. “That was my goal.” He said with a grin as he nudged her lightly. He then saw her wing and frowned. “Hey, what happened to your wing?” He asked.

She rolled her eyes in amusement, then looked over at him with a slightly uneasy expression. "I-it's fine, just a tear." she explained softly, folding her wings neatly against her sides. "I'm alright."

He growled softly, trying to examine it. “Hey it’s not okay. Let me see, I might be able to help.” He said as he tried to look at her wing. “If it heals wrong you might not be able to fly again.” He said worriedly.

Onyx frowned for a moment, then spread the injured wing once more. She was quite ashamed of herself, seeing as she had to seek help from a dragon she barely knew. "Really, you d-don't have to help.." she explained quietly, avoiding his gaze.

He chuffed and bent down, examining her wing. His snout was actually as big as her wing, which only proved his size. “ActUally, I do. In one of the Protectors of this forest. I’m sworn to protect the dragon’s here and the forest itself from threats.” He said. “And that includes healing hurt dragons.” He replied. He closed his eyes for a second and the plants around them rustled as if stirred by a slight breeze. He opened his mouth, sharp fangs revealed, but from his throat came the same green flame as before. It hit her wing, but surprisingly didn’t hurt her. Instead, it felt warm and tingly, and soon her tear closed and repaired, glowing green as he kept breathing out. Once her wound was healed be closed his mouth and he grunted, falling onto his side. Apparently that simple act completely drained his energy.

Onyx's eyes grew in awe at the strange, wondrous act. She watched intently as her wing healed before her eyes, then stretched it once it was fully healed. "Fascinating..." she uttered, then looked over at Ocaran and realized he had fallen over. "Ocaran...?" she asked, slightly startled. The female nudged him gently, wondering if he was okay. "Are you alright...?"

He grunted and nodded his massive head and lapped up some water from the river. “Yeah I’m good. It just takes me a lot energy to heal others...” he said. “I just need to rest and eat some plants to replenish my energy.” He said as he managed to turn his head to look at her. “But thanks for caring.”

Ocean gratefully accepted the water and took some deep gulps, calming down and catching his breath. “I-I found the bow you were looking for. Your father’s.” He said, turning and rummaging in his bag. ((Silk, was the character you were bringing in to this part a human or Dragon?))

((Human))
Onyx nodded, glad he hadn't been hurt. "Alright, just take it easy." she told him quietly, moreso reassuring herself than the male. "Are you sure you're okay?" questioned the female again, just for good measure.
Kace narrowed his eyes, unsure of why they were acting like such acquaintances. Especially with a potentially dangerous dragon right there. He raised his sword as a warning, then examined them carefully.

Orocan smiled and nodded, gazing at her and licking his nose. “Yeah I’m fine, but a bit wiped. I’ll be fine soon.” He replied as he relaxed, tail waving slowly.
Ocean turned when he heard the chink of a sword being raised and he looked over. He grunted, seeing another human. “Well that’s just great...” he muttered. “I’ll have you tell you later, Amanda...” He huffed, immediately remembering that e forgot his sword. “Damn...” he muttered. He looked over at Scarlet and smiled a bit. “Think you could roast him from here, Scarlet?” He asked.

Scarlet raised her head quicly as she saw the glint of the sword before she took a deep breath. "Duck," Amanda said as she pushed Ocean down before Scarlet let out a large trail of fire that burned the soldier's hiding spot. Scarlet lets out a cold growl as she used her tail to move Ocean, and Amanda behind her proactively.

Ocean yelped as he was tackled by Amanda, looking up at her in a bit of a daze from being tackled by her, then blinked and gasped as he was swept behind the female dragon by her tail.

((Hey no problem, Lycaonia, take your time to get better!)) "So let's start with these tracks." He said, smiling as he knelt down beside some fresh tracks, waving Acorn over to him. Asla watched as Draco found some tracks and she chirped to him softly, and Draco smiled. "Go ahead, Asla, there's a stream nearby so you should be able to find plenty of food." He said, then watched as the small dragon lumbered off. Acorn skipped over, hands wrapped neatly behind her. Quite the anime-esq cuteness going on, now that she was comfortable around him. "Okay. Tell me about them!" Oka stayed nearby the two humans, not trusting Draco just yet. In fact, she trusted him about as far as she could throw him, which while far, was not far enough yet.

Draco watched as the girl skipped over and he couldn’t resist but snort amusedly before she got to him. “This is a deer track here...” he said, pointing it out. “It’s fresh, since the dirt is darker on the inside of the track. Now here-“ He said, pointing to another track. “-is a rabbit track, but it’s old. See how the dirt inside is light from being baked by the sun?”

She nodded eagerly. "It's really scuffed. Does that mean they were running?" She knelt down as well, tucked up quite small, and reached out to touch it carefully.

Kace's eyes widened as fire barreled towards him, and instinctively drpped to his knees. He thrust his shield in front of him in an attempt to protect himself of the dragon's fire, but let out a cry of pain as a flame shot across his cheek. "Halt!" he shouted over the roar of the fire.
Onyx nodded, her tail flicking. "I'll stay with you until you recover." she offered with a smile, then looked back out at the river. The female dragon enjoyed the sound of the water lapping calmly at the riverbanks.

Ocean got up and peered over Scarlet as he watched the soldier, or boy. He couldn’t tell. “Yeah that’s not happening.” Ocean muttered, somewhat amusedly.
Oracan smiled happily and his tail waved. “Well... okay then, thanks.” He said, bringing his big tail around and laying it beside her. “You’re very kind, Onyx...”

"Oh, okay!" Acorn jumped to her feet, and hustled after him until she walked directly behind him, matching his pace. However, she couldn't match his expertise at slinking through the forest so silently. It was as if it were alien to her. But every step was more confident. Oka sighed. They wouldn't ever catch a deer with her following. She turned and went to look for Asla.
(I think I'll have Acorn be really good at navigating urban areas, as a little bit of irony lol)

Sounds good!))
Draco kept walking slowly, silently, across the forest floor, careful to avoid leaves and bushes that would make noise. He suddenly slowed to a stop, then looked back at his new friend and signaled her to be silent. He reached down, lightly picked out a dagger from his side sash, and slowly crept around the tree they were currently behind. He’d found the deer.
