You did a really good sleazy one, at a park scene, and I did an interviewer during the talkshow. I think we've been taking turns.)

Sorry! I have been really busy lately and haven't gotten in much!) Zane nodded "From what I heard we are supposed to have good family. We are neighbors this time so we can actually see each other. Like we are next door. But she swears, andi quote "This family is absolutely wonderful! They are sweet and caring and their kids are going to love you. The same with Violettas family." (My basic idea was to sort of sum up the meeting, say how boring Kaden thought it was--heehee--and then for them to walk out all innocently and suddenly be bombarded with photographers and stuff? And maybe Kaden makes them go back inside because their path to the car is blocked, the principal gets upset... et cetera?)

(Ha ha. Okay then! Here we go!)
Any shred of secret excitement that Kaden might have harbored about being responsible and fatherly enough to your a new school his daughter may attend had long deflated. Boy, this adult in stuff was boring. The school was just, well, a school. Teachers, desks, homework, and a playground with none of the fun but "dangerous" equipment. He had thought of one or two questions to ask, but mostly June had run the meeting. Not that that had really been a surprise. At some point, had had swung Katty onto his shoulders, and tagged along behind June and the principal so he could bounce while he walked and maybe make her laugh.
Finally, the blessed hour had come. They could leave. His taste for school buildings had not improved with time. "Well, thanks for meeting with us, Mr...Principal." He grinned and tried to pass that little slip off as a joke. "We'll be in touch." He led June toward the door, eager to leave. Aaaand finally. The parking lot. Freedom. Fresh air, sunshine, the flash of a .... camera?
Kaden frowned and squinted at a shadow ducking behind a car parked in a handicap spot against the side of the building. "Did you see that?"

June wasn't too sure about this school. It was the designated school that deaf kids were sent to in the area, but didn't offer much. Most of the kids that got behind went straight to special ed, and they tried to lump them all together for some activities. The principal said its purpose was to keep them with their friends, but she'd rather have Katty be with kids her age rather that alienated like she was sure would happen.
With Kaden there, June got to ask all the questions she wanted because Katty was occupied. She could imagine the meeting going a lot worse if Katty was trying to keep up with everything.
It was all completely ruined when they stepped outside to see a camera flashing towards them. June would be getting Katty some 'Hater Shades' soon if stuff like this didn't stop. There would not be any usable pictures of Katty being taken without June's consent, even if she couldn't stop them from taking pictures. "Yup. Definitely saw that." She murmured as another one went off.

Kaden frowned a put a hand on June's back. "Maybe we should--" Another camera went off, and there was a flannel-clad man behind it popping out from behind a car. Who even wore flannel in California? But once the one was brave enough to actually step out, so were the other two...three...six. And the cameras were clicking away. Kaden swung back around and pushed June back through the doors. "Inside inside inside... I'll get the car to pull it around." A red flush was crawling up his neck. How dare they? How dare they encroach on his daughter's life and make a spectacle of her? She was only five!

Katty couldn't help but pout at being removed from Kaden's shoulders and set on the ground. The flashes had confused first her, because mommy was really good at taking pictures and always took a thousand for any occasion, demanding smiles for as long as any given person could stand it. She had smiled simply from muscle memory until her parents back-tracked into the school. She didn't like it in there. The man that they'd met with was stiff and quiet, while the school smelled musty and was mostly dark.
June was too busy trying to block Katty from the cameras to properly gauge her reaction. Did everything have to be an opportunity for these people? Really? Is her and Kaden coming out a school such a big deal that it needs to shown to the public for people to tear apart the reasoning?

The principal turned around when he heard Kaden and company come back through the doors. "Mr. Wilde? Did you have a question?"
Kaden was almost surprised the man was there, but then, this was his school. "Uh, no, sir. Just trying to get away from the cameras." He ran a hand over Katty's head to reassure her, then started to pull his keys from his pocket. "I'll pull the car up to the doors, if you want to be rea--"
"Cameras?" The principal frowned and stalked past Kaden to peer out the front doors. "Why would you have told them you were coming here?"
Kaden flashed a look at June, like Is this guy for real? "We didn't. They just...found us. There may or may not be a crystal ball involved, I've never been able to test the theory, but--"
Mr. Principal Sir was not amused. He had turned his disapproving scowl on Kaden. "I'm sorry, Mr. Wilde, but this simply will not do. If you were willing to be discreet, I would have been more than happy to have your child attend this institution--"
More like you would've been more than happy to accept my money to send my child to your "institution," Kaden thought, and all the extra dough it would take for her "specialized courses."
"--but I cannot have degenerates with cameras marauding around this campus and disturbing the other students. I simply will not tolerate that kind of exposure of children. I'm afraid I have to ask you to leave."
Kaden raised his eyebrows slightly, though he was trying hard not to look at this man like he thought he was an idiot. Alas, sometimes one's best efforts are not enough. "Uh, we're trying to. If you'll just give me one minute--"
"Now. I must insist." He started to raise his arms as if to actually shoo them from the building like a farmer might try to herd livestock.
Kaden was fuming. "Now you listen to me! I've been doing my best to get out of your institution for the last half hour, believe you me! Now I'm going to go outside and pull the car up so that my daughter isn't exposed to those sleazeballs like you're so worried your precious little charges would be! And if you so much as breathe a word to my wife or child while I'm gone, I will make sure everyone knows exactly why we ditched this school--because my daughter can't learn from men who need the special education courses they want to lump her into out of laziness and greed." He looked at June. "Be ready to jump in."
He stalked out of the doors and beelined for the car, realizing that he probably overreacted. Eh, he'd worry about it later. Maybe. Only if June scolded him. He pushed a camera out of his face and climbed in the car, revved the engine, and screeched around to the front door, doing his best to leave tire marks on the concrete.

(I just got this hilarious idea of Kaden seeing some cool little girl hairdo on facebook and asking June to try it on Katty, but she makes him do it since he's so excited, so he spends the next hour trying to get Katty to sit still and chasing her around with bobby pins and hairbrushes and then at the end of it all...he has a half-passable ponytail for his efforts. I was amused by the thought.
...I'm bored. Can you tell? Which is sad, because I have a perfectly good book in front of me, but it's so big and I just--I wanna know what happens but I don't wanna put in the time and effort of actually reading it. *sigh* )

He pushed a camera out of his face and climbed in the car, revved the engine, and screeched around to the front door, doing his best to leave tire marks on the concrete. As soon as Kaden left, the principal looked ready to pounce on June, despite Kaden's warning. As he took a breath, she cut him off. "Don't. Just don't. I don't know why you're so upset about something that clearly wasn't asked for on our part, but we're already leaving. You don't exactly have a leg to stand on. It's not like this is a private campus, anyway." This guy was really pissing her off. Did he have to act so moronic over a small thing like this? I mean, his school was going to be framed and put on the covers of magazines. Doesn't seem like he's losing whatsoever. "Miss Hawthorne would've been treated with the upmost respect and care, and your.... Mr. Wilde clearly didn't see that." The principal replied coolly. "Miss Wilde as you know full well what her last name is, was going to be put in special ed two weeks into the school like you do with the majority of your 'problem children.'" June winced as Kaden pulled the car around. As angry as he was with the principal, the paparazzi was now documenting his reaction. She didn't think the tire skid was going to look good on a morning gossip show at all. But, after all, Kaden couldn't permanently damage his reputation. He was just simply too popular for small things like this to not blow over quickly. She scooped Katty up to rush over to the car, pushing her daughter's face in her neck. It didn't help that her daughter had practically posed earlier, she really shouldn't have taken so many pictures of baby-Katty. "Well, I'm guessing this school is not up for discussion, right?" June asked Kaden while buckling Katty in as they drove away.

That would be the best and most accurate scenario involving both June and Katty... Katty like being girly, mainly because her mom doesn't, but she's still five. We should work that in somewhere... I feel like that ninety percent on the time lately, and I used to read a novel a day!)

Kaden sped off, even though he was careful to actually stop at the stop sign on the way out. Laws and safety were still laws and safety. Anyway. "Not since we saw the cafeteria. Or smelled the cafeteria. Seriously, it's called Febreeeze." He glanced over at June. Sorry for storming out like that." (I'm glad you're amused as well. We'll make it happen!) (Dude, yikes. A novel a day? How fast to you read, woman!?)

I used to read instead of surf the internet/watch t.v. in my spare time. Car rides excluded, I was almost always reading. (I can't read on car rides. I get motionsick that way.))
I would also like to note that you called me both 'dude' and 'woman' in the same few sentences.)
June smirked. "Or cleaning Kaden." She reminded. "Y'know, with clorox? And soap?" She questioned. The cafeteria had been pretty bad. And either way, Katty wasn't much for food aside from sweets except for at dinner. June had just accepted that her daughter was going to be a nocturnal. The child only wanted food at night, so at least she wouldn't have eaten much of anything that came out of that kitchen. The blonde shrugged off his apology. "Had Katty not been with us, I would've been right behind you." She assured.

(Motion sickness kind of stinks. But still, a novel a day is impressive!) (...And your point is? Maybe I'm just delightful and quirky! Hahaha.)
Kaden wrinkled his nose. "Cleaning? I thought people only did that in the movies," he joked. He smiled and reached for June's hand. "Have I told you that I love you lately?" He shook his head a moment later. "I can't believe that guy was for real. And that they followed us to the school! Who does that? I'm going to look into the laws when we get home; they've got to be crossing some kind of boundary when they start messing with my kid."
