[ oh! i just got reminded! like how each of the deadly seven counter a zodiac, there is a zodiac counter to that deadly sin, or a combination of two zodiacs that will defeat the said deadly sin.
pride will counter leo wrath will counter aries sloth will counter capricorn greed will counter libra envy will counter gemini gluttony will counter pisces and lust will counter scorpio
however. if the zodiacs are fully aiming to "take care of" a deadly sin and make them unable to do what they were made to do, there is a direct counter.
leo can easily counter pride. capricorn completely counters wrath. libra completely counters sloth. the gemini twins completely counter greed. aquairus and cancer completely counter envy. taurus and virgo completely counter gluttony. scorpio and sagittarius completely counter lust.
by "countering" the deadly sin, the zodiacs have abilities that render that deadly sin useless in battle.
while pride can snuff out light, leo can snuff out darkness. capricorn's music can calm wrath and libra's sleeping influence can make sloth fall asleep with great ease. the gemini twins can imitate greed's hardened shield as well as manage to hit him with ease without his armor, literally using his own weapon against him. aquarius can use her vase to distract envy or at least render him focused on her while cancer can conceal their positioning and have them move with great ease enough to restrain envy. taurus has an ax that holds as the only thing gluttony can't bite into with ease and virgo can trap him in cave or tunnel systems or trip him and disappear before he can be able to try and harm her. scorpio's stingers can harm lust and sagittarius' strength can easily trample lust to the ground, his arrows providing enough of a stun to let scorpio advance or retreat.
what do you guys think of this? ]

Aquarius "Sometimes the smallest step in the right direction ends up being the biggest step in your life." Kikuchi Ren — ❦ ❦ ❦ —
Out of the entire eight thousand seven hundred and sixty hours she had been with him, not once had she ever seen Kishida Hotaru act the way he had, eruptive like a newly born volcano.
He’d always been a ray of sunshine; a source of light, mind you, that filled their home and allowed it to operate the way it did with its warm glow, alleviating some of the tension that brewed together whenever someone was spoiled by a bout of fool mood. And, while she hadn’t spoken the words out loud as she wasn’t one to necessarily verbally let her thoughts be known upon sudden impulse, she’d admired Kishida because of it. Sure, the fellow could be clumsy around dishes, but he always seemed to be there for those who needed his strength, and in her perspective, his very presence was enough to gently encourage everyone to take a step forward the long flight of stairs that lay ahead of them all.
A single smile could do wonders, after all.
And strength was not all about the physical power one could wield to their will.
In a way, his radiating strength reminded her of Tadashi and Kohaku and Hideki; three of the older individuals within the celestial house who had, with no doubt, her conclusive trust and loyalty. She found credence in their words and in their actions, and before she’d known it, she’d realized that she held the same amount of devotion to Sagittarius and what he had to say, as well. They were all admirable in their own way, and though she never quite said it freely, she respected them for it.
Turning her attention back to their small guest, whose head remained slightly tipped downwards so that his thick, golden locks fell over his eyes, she drew in a small and quiet breath. It seemed that she hadn’t been the only one who had been bewildered by the sudden and abrupt and rather intense event that had occurred before her eyes; out of the corner of her eye, she saw Scorpio’s expression flicker with something she couldn’t recognize, something that deviated from the expressions she was familiar seeing from him. He genuinely looked as if he were caught off guard by the outburst, and for the first time in a long while, it seemed that Kitamura Kohaku was at a loss for words.
"Hey... are ya okay? Katashi can be really mean, I know, but 'cha don't have ta listen to him. We trust you. If you're Tadashi's friend, that's more than enough for me ta trust ya. Ya can be a vampire or somethin' an' I won't blink an eye. If Tadashi trusts ya an' wants ya protected, then by the word and my honor as Sagittarius the Archer, you'll be protected and befriended.”
“Shou, I’m sorry for his behavior.”
Lightly playing with a lock of his hair, their guest seemed to keep their gentle gaze downcast. “No, that’s okay, there’s no need for you to apologize, Tadashi. I don’t think he’s wrong, really. In fact, he may be right,” he said, all the childish cheeriness and enthusiasm to his demeanor dimmed, though he seemed more contemplative than anything. Raising his head a little, she watched as his kind honey-brown eyes rested on those of Hotaru’s. “Thank you, Taru-chan. That’s reassuring to hear.”
Deftly hopping off the couch, he then brushed invisible dust off of his pants before he swiveled around to face the zodiacs with a smile stretched across his soft lips. “I should most likely get going, then. I don’t want to over welcome my stay.”
“そんな, that’s not-”
“It’s okay,” he said, his eyes directly matching those of her own, “I really should be going, anyway. I do have people I have to visit, too, before I go to school, and I’ll be fine on my own. I’m sure whoever that was won’t come and attack me all the way out here. They’re still most likely lurking somewhere within, after all.”
“Even so,” she said as she took a step forward, “We can’t know that for certain. I’ll stay with you for a while, Chiba先輩.”
Shou’s docile expression didn’t quite change when he, after a brief pause where he seemed to be debating about what to say, said, “That would be wonderful, thank you.”
“Ren,” she then heard, only to turn around to see Kohaku standing there with his thoughtful brown eyes. The familiar trace of his animated expression was gone momentarily, and for the rare times it did occur, she could see the way how his eyes seemed to become comparable with those of a fox, for they were sharp and keen with a light of intelligence.
“はい?”
There was a beat, and she watched as Scorpio rested his hand on his own waist with his eyes trailing over to the clock in the sitting room. It seemed that he was locked in a trail of thought, and for a moment, she couldn’t help but wonder just what was going through Kohaku’s head. But instead of receiving a hint that would let her understand the words that were traveling through his mind, he slightly shook his head to the side, as if to brush off an idea. “やっぱいいや. 気にしないで,” he said as he turned around, and she tilted her head a little to the side, puzzled and curious. He then offered her a small smile as he said, “Just be back soon, okay?” Don’t go to far, all right?"
“Of course,” she answered as she headed towards the door before glancing over her shoulder at him. “I’m not you, 先輩, I don’t go daydreaming or wandering off too long. I’ll be back in no time.” The end of his lip seemed to curl at this, and she watched him he gently waved her off before sweeping into the kitchen, where the other two had vanished; she had no doubt that he was most likely reassuring their leader while trying to alleviate the peculiar atmosphere as much as possible. From what she’d managed to observe, he was quite fond of the two, after all, and attached to them in a way that seemed to surpass any duty-set boundaries.
With that thought in mind, swinging a coat over her own shoulders, she took a step outside with their newly introduced guest next to her side. Though she would see Shou off in the best destination possible that allowed him to feel safe, she wouldn’t go that far. She would make sure of that herself.

The Gemini Twins "We don't hang out with anyone and we certainly won't hang out with you." 〤 ⇀↠ 〤 ↞↼ 〤
Not even atop the roof of the house were two feline twins, out in the forest together. Hands held tightly, one trembling, the other supportive, one has a lashing tail, the other's flicked around gently. One has his hair covering his eyes, his mouth twisted into a angered snarl, the other had a soft and gentle look upon his face, looking at his twin brother. As always, there was a major difference between the twins, no matter of how close they were, there was always a way to tell them apart. Right now, even if you knew which one was which, it was unsafe to approach.
The rage that was swirling inside of Katashi was like a blizzard, his hidden blue gaze staring with such a fierce emotion down at the ground from the tree's branch. If you were to look back, you would be able to tell the path that he had chosen to get there, claw marks upon the bark and branches were he bounded away, using all his strength to just move away from that place. His face was still stinging from where he had been slapped, the shock of the arrow nearly knocking him out cold sending shivers down his spine. He thought that he had figured everyone out. He was wrong. Never once did anyone see Hotaru act in such a way. It was terrifying. The little bright ray of sunshine had turned cold and stone like, his eyes unforgiving and harsh.
"Hey..." Satoshi's voice murmured softly, a soothing tone to his ears. "It's alright, you know."
"How is that alright? How is any of that alright?" Katashi replied bitterly, his jaw clenching tighter, his hand gripping his brother's in a stone-locked force as his muscles tensed. Satoshi's head gently found its way to resting on his shoulder, the gesture in itself, helping with the trembling and his muscles slightly relaxing. "We're living with humans now? They don't like us, they never have! Why do you think that the original thirteen fell? It wasn't kindness that made them weaken! They're fickle, repulsive creatures that judge and destroy things that they don't understand. Even if we are their protectors, that doesn't mean I have to like them. Especially that little brat who thought that he could call himself the most important thing to our leader. You can't say you weren't disgusted either!"
Silence soon followed for a short while after, the younger brother picking his words carefully as the chorus of birds sang a beautiful melody around them. His tail entwined with Katashi's, resulting in the elder brother's tail beginning to stop beating the air so ferociously in his rage. "I don't force my opinions on others, not like that." The Tiger's gaze glanced down at his twin. "When I feel like that, I just think of the people we're around that have been there our entire lives. Maybe not all the time, but not one of them rejected us or tried to hurt us because of our Celestial forms. If any of them didn't like us, it was because we're mean to them in an unfair way." Words like silk, a gentle rain to extinguish the burning flames, they slowly began to have their effect on the trembling figure.
"But... they'll just move on, won't they? If someone gets close to them like that, won't they replace someone for another? Won't they replace us? We are mean, you're right. We give them reason to not like us." His energy began to fade away to one of a different kind, leaning his head into his brothers, the trembling coming back a bit more. He felt his brother's hand move through his hair in a soothing and gentle way, even if it messed up his hair style, it was a very effective way to help calm him down in times like this. "We're not the most popular of the zodiacs, that's for sure. That's why we act the way we do. They're just toys, that's what we agreed. There's no point in getting close with someone who's going to throw you away, so it's best to beat them to it. Hurt them before they can hurt you, that way, you'll never be disappointed." There was no way that they'd ever let someone see them the way that they were now, but here in the veil of the forest, they found comfort in this. Even in the brisk, chill October air, they stuck by one another's side and would rather be far away from the others than to show that they had more emotions than just what they showed.
Katashi and Satoshi disliked humans for a good reason. Satoshi had been severely hurt when they were younger because they had accidentally been forced to shift into their Celestial forms. Just as Hotaru had a bad experience, so did they. Their mother didn't even bother to tell them apart and one of their last conversations was of that no one would be able to tell them apart, so it's okay for her to mess up sometimes. Their father and the rest of their family had all but disowned them and upon returning home one day, their mother wasn't with them any longer. They had grown up with each other only, it was them against the world that so desperately wanted to knock them down. Even with the other zodiacs, they didn't really show their trust in another being. While they found themselves being willing to follow Tadashi's lead, he had become one of their possessions in doing so. What's theirs was theirs and they did not share with ease.
No one likes a cat, one of the school children at stated towards Satoshi when they had been younger. All they do is laze around and do nothing. They barely even play, they're pointless. They had hurt Satoshi's tail and gave him a black eye, picking on him for the duration until an adult found them, with a horrified surprise. Of course, Katashi had first lost his temper then, clawing and pushing down the kids that dared to try and harm his twin.
Take it back! he had hissed to them in a fit of rage. My brother is the best, cats are more than just that! If no one likes a cat, then I do! You're going to hurt him? The Tiger will show you a lesson! Hurt my brother and I'll hurt you! They had been punished and blamed for the event, no one believing them that they had been attacked first. They had been brushed off, given away the second their father had been called to the school. The Zodiac Staff had taken them in and that was where they grew up, pranking and getting up to all sorts of mischief.
"You know, some of them are getting close to telling us apart. It's taken a long time, but they are finally starting to be able to do it. The Zodiacs aren't that bad. Too trusting of the world around them, but that's given that they've lived their own lives and feel differently from us. Other people can't sense what you're thinking or tell that something's wrong without even looking at you. They don't have our bond to tell them any of that." Satoshi moved his head a bit to nuzzle his nose into his brother's hair, breathing in the scent he knew so well, a scent that was practically his own, yet, there was something ever so slightly different. They could pass for one another, but it was only the two of them so far that could tell apart even their scents. "Pushing your thoughts like that... It offended all of them. They trust Tadashi's judgement a lot, you know. I think you hurt Hotaru a lot too. By insulting Shou, you were insulting Tadashi and I believe that no one liked that. They don't understand what you were trying to say because they're not me, Katashi." Closing his eyes, he pressed closer to his brother's side, trying his best to comfort and calm him so that they could go back, so that they could be welcomed back to the others.
"Who cares...? I don't need them. As long as I have you, that's alright. They can dislike me, hate me, scorn me." Satoshi mentally sighed and his face felt a little flat, though hidden by his brother's auburn hair. He was missing literally the entire point that he was trying to get at. Still, with a soft chuckle, he couldn't help but feel amused. Katashi would come to realize these things in his own time, little by little. "I have you. That's all I've ever had and that's okay. You're my only family that I need." Satoshi gave a small smile, turning his head away to look up at the sky that was slightly hidden from the trees within the forest. Not that they'd be around for long, the once green scenery turning yellow, orange and red, leave falling more and more as time went by.
One day, maybe one day, we'll meet someone that changes his mind. But then, what would I do without him? The thought had crossed his mind as he stared up at the sky, sitting there in silence with his brother. Their bond was... truly strong. Katashi's trembling had gone down to shivering and his muscles had completely relaxed, there no longer being a death grip on his hand nor was his tail lashing about in such an angry manner. One day, I hope, there's going to be someone who gets into your head and makes you see things differently. Perhaps it's foolish of me, to hope for such a fairy tale, but I hope that we cross someone's path that breaks our walls down, kicks it down and then offers us their hand. I want you to grow up having friends and a family. I want to learn to trust other people and be around others. I want to learn to be nicer and more accepting of others.
"You should go apologize, Katashi. I think your words really did upset them, you know?" He felt Katashi stiff back up, becoming a bit tense once more. He could feel his ears flatten and a huff came from his mouth. Oh, how adorable his brother was, but so hard to get through to. "Do you want me to do it? I don't want them mad at you." There was silence as an answer, which settled it in his mind. "Ah, I'll do it. But we should head back. Hotaru did say he wanted us to stay to ask us all about something." He lifted his head up and then smoothed Katashi's hair and brushed his bangs back, giving a soft smile and staring at his brother's eyes. "Oh! It really is you, Katashi! Or are you Satoshi?" The playful tease started a spark in the other twin and he couldn't help but smile with the younger twin.
"Hmm... which one were you again? Whichever one you're not is the one I am. Whichever one I am is the one that you're not. If you've forgotten, then which one am I?" This seemed to amuse them both and they gave soft bursts of laughing, leaning against the other and squeezing each other's hands, their tails swishing lightly in the morning air together. "What a problem! I guess we better pick names, huh? Which one would you like to be today? Katashi or Satoshi?" The younger brother's appearance changed in a blink of an eye. Had he...? That grin. Katashi mirrored it, because, after all, they could shape-shift into whomever or whatever they touched last. It would be a lie that they remembered the last living thing that they touched besides the other.
"I think I'll be Katashi today," the younger twin stated in his exact voice, making the real Katashi give a snort of amusement and shifting into his brother's form, all those complex thoughts going right over his head, already used to feeling them. Both simultaneously switched to the other's human form and leap down from the tree, still hand in hand.
"If you're Katashi, then I'm Satoshi." How lucky was he to have a twin sibling? Very. How wonderful was it to have Satoshi as his twin brother? The best. He couldn't have asked for anyone better to share his mind, his life, his abilities with. No one could match his brother, not in Katashi's mind. "Say, Katashi... weren't we going to go get our own breakfast today? I'll wait here for you." There was complete hesitance with his brother and he could feel the dislike of that idea. But he could completely understand. Being away from one another, even if for such a thing as this, was dangerous and a bit frightening for them. They couldn't use their abilities without the other nearby.
"No.. Satoshi... I'd prefer you to come with me." Most would find it weird to say your own name and call your mirror image of a twin your own name. They were completely used to it. Katashi gave a small grin and squeezed his brother's hand, however, the feeling of irritation and hurt came back as he glanced back in the direction of the house. "I'll apologize for you, just act like me, okay?" Silence as he glanced away, the smile faded. "Katashi?"
There was the sound of someone leaving. The two switched back to their regular selves and quickly changed into their air forms, where they bounded silently and quickly around the trees, hand in hand still, until they came to the edge of the forest. Shifting back, they both watched as Ren emerged from the house with Shou. Why was she...? While Satoshi's eyes softened a little with understanding, Katashi's blue gaze hardened with betrayal.
A finger was placed at his lips as he was pushed back into the form of his brother and Satoshi took on his own human form. He only could walk a little behind the other, his thoughts and emotions seeming to calm his own, standing a little bit back at his brother posed as the other twin, as Katashi, walking up to them as he would, rubbing his arm. He lifted his chin a little, his arms crossed over his chest, as he watched making it seem like he really was Satoshi, looking over his temperamental twin.
"Look... I know... I was out of line... with my words... and I probably offended you a lot. I was a bit... out of line and I apologize. I know my words might not mean much but... perhaps I could make it up to you, someday. If Tadashi trusts you, then me and my brother do too," Satoshi stated seeming a little hesitant and looking back at Katashi quite a bit as he spoke, as if he was asking him for guidance that his words were correct. He dipped his head, as his brother would in guiding him on an apology. Sometimes Katashi apologized on his own behavior, but other times he didn't. The times he did, he would often look to Satoshi for help on how to word things. "Me and Satoshi are heading off to do our own things before school. Perhaps we'll cross paths again." With that, Satoshi motioned for Katashi to come with him, as they needed to get their bags for school and, of course, Satoshi was going to apologize to the rest of the zodiacs for his behavior as well.
As Katashi passed Ren and Shou, however, he glanced down at the other with a bit of a look that didn't belong to Satoshi in the least. He didn't like the little brat, or at least, was trying super hard not to. That small passing moment was up and he bounded after his brother, going inside together. The same words were repeated and Hotaru grinned up at them, not a trace of resentment or anger towards either of them, the stone-cold side of him seeming to be non-existent.
"That's alright, Katashi! Oh! But don't go yet! I know that Ren's guidin' Shou-chan back inta town, but I wanted ta ask everyone 'bout somethin' that I saw! There was a poster on the wall the other day!" Katashi felt irritation fill him, that same irritation also being felt in his brother. A poster? Literally, why were they being held up over such a thing. Both of them clenched their jaw a little, their faces falling with a 'flat' look. "It's of a circus comin' ta our area on Friday... an' I was hopin' we could all go? All of us, together. I'd... I'd really like that." The twins exchanged glances and then their blue gaze went up to their leader of the bunch.
Silence filled the room, a bit of nervous hope and anticipation being thrown around in the mix. The twins hadn't really... ever been to a circus before, as they both doubted anyone else here had. So the thought of being able to visit one, together as one big group... dare-say the twins as a family, that would... Strangely, the thought made them both a bit hopeful and happy. Going there with everyone else... that'd be pretty fun.
"I think that is a great idea," Tadashi had finally stated and Hotaru jumped up with a cheer, his happy energy seeming to light up the room. The twins couldn't help but both grin with such a outburst, rolling their eyes in unison at the seventeen year old's act. How ridiculous and childish. Yet... there was a certain charm to it. "We will go in two groups, to reduce chances of anyone getting suspicious." That didn't sound too bad, either. "This will be discussed later in the week."
With that, the two turned around and went up the stairs to grab their bags and then quickly went on their way, giving slight farewells until they would all meet again at school or after it. Even so... the day would surely prove to be eventful. As the two went into the large city, around the well navigated streets towards a shop that they typically liked to eat at, there was a slight feeling of being watched, a small bit of an uncomfortable feeling as well as a feeling of... missing someone?
Satoshi glanced behind him, but the only thing that he saw was a German Shepard laying down on the sidewalk outside the door, most likely someone's pet. How strange... he could have sworn he was feeling someone watch him. Maybe he was just tired and stressed from that morning's events.
"Everything alright?" Katashi asked, resulting in his brother giving a small nod. "Yeah. Just thought I felt something. Let's go eat."
And yet... the feeling didn't stop. As they nearly moved out of sight, the German Shepard gave an unnatural grin, his tail beginning to wag a bit as he trotted along, shifting down into the cat of a cat as he followed after the two. A soft murmur of two words escaped the being's lips, inaudible to anyone around him.
"Found you~"

Pride "If you try to save someone you can't save, you'll both end up sinking." Chiba Shou — ❦ ❦ ❦ —
In a way, it’d been a risk for him to visit. There were those who were too smart for their own good among the zodiacs (today had proven it even further) and then there was the pesky, temperamental Gemini pair - the individuals who, upon a single touch, would be able to distinguish his identity from that of a human. They weren’t aware of it, of course, but they were one of the largest reasons for why he’d held a sliver of wariness with him the moment he’d taken a step into the house.
But still.
His visit had proven to be greatly amusing.
It was far easier to understand now who was cursed with a sharp wit, and those who were blessed with a naive and untainted perception of the world around them. It made a part of him subtly a little more curious about a few of them, about how the wheels in their heads moved and clicked together to complete a keen, operative mind.
Some of the events that had occurred hadn’t been restricted within his expectations either, and the idea of witnessing something so unknown, something so unpredictable, excited him. He was talking about the mutated half-horse, of course, the thing that’d always constantly put up a content expression and a vibrant demeanor. That very thing had contradicted his usual behavior today, and he’d been fortunate enough to see the mask flip into something a little more ugly than what it suggested superficially. As much as he despised to admit it out loud, it was certainly frightening yet alluring all the same, to know that there were still things that he did not necessarily know thoroughly. It was why he sought to know everything, to have every meticulous detail and knowledge in his possession.
Like the lives of all twelve zodiacs.
His honey-brown eyes flickered up to watch the collected water-bearer look after the disappearing twins with the slightest, most barely noticeable frown upon her face. She didn’t move; it was as if for that moment, as she watched them vanish, her feet had been firmly stuck to to the ground with glue. Her thoughts were too easy to read. There was no resentment, no irritation, and no acrimony about her in the least. If he could describe the small light in her round, brown eyes, he could only pinpoint it as gentle confusion, especially after the last look one of them had thrown in his direction. Aquarius and Gemini - those signs remained somewhat close from decades back, right?
So it was almost as if…
Glancing up at the small back of the individual who stood a little ahead of him once more, he felt the corners of his lip twitch. Still, even so, had this been the annoyingly loud insect or the tamer cat or the fish instead of this brown-haired mire, he was certain the conversation they shared would have been far more entertaining. He’d been keeping watch of every individual within the household, even the ones who hadn’t been there to greet him. It was a given that he would, wasn’t it? The dark, dark eyes of the individual who went by the name of Kuga Haru, he thought, had had the eyes of a predator when she’d glanced out the window to spot him walking towards the house with the King of them all. Oddly pleasant, cold, serious, and yet, focused. No wonder there were so many misunderstandings regarding her personality outside of those little doors of theirs; the contrast in her persona and her personality was staggering.
And the younger twin. The one who’d felt a little calmer, the one who’d felt like a tamed house kitty. Satoshi, was it? Intriguing how some of the younger individuals had a keen sense to them. They’d already proved to be amusing toys; perhaps they’d upgrade themselves to tools of entertainment for himself and another particularly envy-driven individual.
"Pushing your thoughts like that... It offended all of them. They trust Tadashi's judgement a lot, you know. I think you hurt Hotaru a lot too. By insulting Shou, you were insulting Tadashi and I believe that no one liked that. They don't understand what you were trying to say because they're not me, Katashi.”
Oh, if only he knew.
"But... they'll just move on, won't they? If someone gets close to them like that, won't they replace someone for another? Won't they replace us? We are mean, you're right. We give them reason to not like us."
The older twin proved to be amusing in his own way, as well. The contradictory view they possessed, the way how their words didn’t quite add up to what they truly felt, was quite amusing. What peculiar individuals; what naivety.
And the scorpion, Kitamura Kohaku. The insect that proved to be different from what he simply appeared to be upon first glance. The end of the arachnid’s tail seemed to be a little sharper than he’d assumed.
Perhaps that was where his fascination had started with Kisaragi Tadashi; because he could, to a certain degree, draw parallels to the similarities they shared. The difference in their exterior appearance and their cognition and rationality made the flavor of his steady hunt richer, more luxurious. If every prey was as meek as a deer, it wouldn’t be too fun chasing them down, now, would it? Laughter almost bubbled past his lips at the thought of these particular mongrels, and he lightly clapped his small hand over his curled lips to keep his smile hidden. What a shame if some of them were to suddenly…
Disappear.
Isn’t that right, Tadashi?
“I was told not to go past here,” he heard, only to see a kind and apologetic smile. “I’m sorry, Chiba先輩. If I could, I wouldn’t have minded staying with you a little longer.”
“No, this is just fine, Renren,” he said as he lightly, with bird-like grace, hopped down a few rocks and turned around to face her. As he tipped his head to the side, he smiled. “It was nice meeting you. Hopefully, I’ll see you again, okay?”
If you’re even alive by then, little doe.
“Can I borrow you for a sec, Dashi?”
With the disperse of the other zodiacs who scattered to grab their bags or their belongings for school came Kitamura Kohaku, who gently indicated the kitchen with a tip of his head.
It was ultimately almost impossible to hear the Scorpion speak to (especially) the Lion without his usual affectionate nickname, Kisa-chan, and yet there he was, standing in front of Kisaragi Tadashi with his weight leaning on his right foot and his hand perched on the same side of his waist. Still, even so, he did refer to Leo with a nickname, albeit a little less playful this time around from usual, though it faultlessly retained the same amount of affection and endearment.
“Are you sure about the circus?” The much smaller male inquired, leaning his back against the wall with a quirked eyebrow. Surprisingly enough, the usual smile that could be seen upon his lips was almost practically nonexistent, and while the air surrounding him still remained lively and vivacious, there was something a little more calm about his gaze and his smooth voice. “Normally, I wouldn’t be against the idea, but if what ちび君 said is true, wouldn’t it be a little dangerous to go? It’s not that I’m against the idea - there’s nothing more than I’d like to go with everyone, but,” he said as he raked his hand through his hair while briefly resting his eyes together, “I’m worried about you. None of us have been targeted as of now, but if that individual really was searching for you…” His words trailed off a little, hesitantly hanging in the air, and for a moment, it wasn't strange to say that there even was a touch of barely noticeable vulnerability in his gaze.
To lose or to even think about losing Kisaragi Tadashi or any member of the zodiacs for that matter was, perhaps to the scorpion, like losing all of his limbs.
No, it most likely went farther beyond that.

Leo "It is my duty to protect you." ◢ ♚ ╸◇╺ ♚ ◣ Standing unnaturally long at the window, Tadashi's warm gaze stayed focus on the figures down the pathway until he felt it was alright to look away, and by then, the twins had returned and Katashi had apologized. It wasn't that the eighteen year old was angry at the elder twin, he could understand the fear, but the thing that he had an issue with was that he misunderstood everything from his trust in Shou to what species that thing even was. It was far from human, the little devil of the dark and Tadashi trusted him as far as he could move a mountain; he didn't. A part of him saw from the Tiger's eyes, he could see that uncertainty, that stiffness, that unwilling part of him that didn't want to trust in anything. Perhaps there was a rational part of him deep down that he didn't understand that naturally went against Shou. If that was the case, then that was frightening and he'd have to keep an eye on him even more.
Staring at him, there was definitely something about him that said that. He heard Hotaru's question, but his gaze didn't leave the form of Katashi (or who he thought was Katashi) and stared down. There was still a bit of a punishment needed for such actions and to keep those close to him, he'd do something that he normally wouldn't do. But he trusted a lot of people, all twelve of the others that shared the golden blood with him. Those he didn't worry about... ah, yes. This would be for the best. He made up his mind only have a little time passing Hotaru's question, turning his head to the small blonde figure.
"I think that is a great idea," he had finally said, not even surprised as the blonde jumped up with a cheer, excitement fluttering around those blue eyes of his. He wanted to feel as happy as he did, but the worries and stress of what could happen swirled around in his mind. The consequences of the Gemini twin's rage could end but badly and he could feel like something could end up happening at nay moment. It was Shou's calm reaction that truly scared him. "We will go in two groups, to reduce chances of anyone getting suspicious." Suspicious? No, that was a cover-up for his own reasons. Sooner or later, he'd have to stop lying and hiding these sorts of things. His hands were still trembling, which was why they were firmly clasped behind his back, a death grip on either hand. "This will be discussed later in the week." This was... a big step for him. His eyes watched the Gemini twins went up the stairs and then came back down with quick ease.
"Well! Then we'll be off!" One of them stated. They already switched up too much for him to properly tell who was who again. "See you losers at the school." Definitely the more aggressive twin. He stared at Katashi for a moment before the two left.
Once more, like a dog watching his master leave home, he stood at the window and watched as the twins disappeared down the path towards the main city life. Barely moving, his eyes watching their shadows suspiciously and carefully, paranoid and frightened of anything bad happening. A part of him wanted to call out to them, to not leave. To tell them to come back, to not let anyone be separated at all. But that would be for tomorrow. That would definitely be for tomorrow.
Oh? Dashi. He turned to see Kohaku wishing to talk with him and blinked a few times before dipping his head, going to the kitchen. It was funny how fast everyone could eat and how much they could eat with such ease. Tadashi calmly walked into the kitchen, despite the fear and panic settling inside him, uncertainty gnawing away at him like a mouse to a wall. He stood in a deep breath to try and keep his outward calm appearance, hiding the fact that he was extremely shaken and terrified. It was only a matter of time, but even so... he was scared to lose anyone. He would do anything to protect them but... there would be a day that he would have to leave everything to each member, he couldn't protect them all.
There was a calm air about him as Kohaku expressed his uncertainty about the circus, almost amused at the irony of his statement. That shadowy creature, the little devil, the demon of the shadows, it had already been here, the shadows have been tainted in their own home for a long time now. Threats like that already knew where they were, it was no use to be scared of them attacking, especially going for the circus. While it was a good opportunity... he still felt like Shou would hold up his honor to the deal and not play dirty without a sincere sadistic warning. Tadashi didn't trust that creature, but... his arrogant ego would let him be confident and proud enough as to not to resort to such a thing... right?
"I will tell you when I can. My hands are tied at the moment and I cannot speak of the threat that was mentioned today. It is far greater than you know, Kohaku. You have already seen a true demon of darkness already, you just haven't noticed it truly yet. A creature from a realm of shadows... nothing is safe and no words can go unheard, even now." His hands tightened on his own wrists behind his back as he felt a chill down him and the panic flare up inside of him at even speaking those words. He swallowed thickly and closed his eyes for a few moments, trying to keep a calm composure, despite visibly trembling for a few moments there before he collected himself back to normal. He opened his eyes and regained his calm composure as he looked down at Kohaku. "Starting tomorrow, since Shou has revealed one of the biggest threats that could go after human or Celestial being... we will start real training. There will be no school at all until after the Test of Courage. I cannot tell you anything and you have my apologies. But a deal is a deal. Until they find their counter, until I see a reason to break my vow, I will not be able to tell you. But everyone will start their true training... tomorrow. Make sure to tell everyone that." How much was he risking by telling Kohaku this? Everything. And he couldn't hold his fear together for much longer, his body beginning to tremble again. He hung his head a little, a shadow going over his face and hiding his features, even if momentarily.
Looking at the dishes in the sink, he moved over to them and rolled up his sleeves in his school uniform to begin washing them, as if it were a method to still his hands and calm his anxiety and fear over the others a bit. Tadashi didn't usually seem to be shaken by anything but... this terrified him. The first thing he did was bring Shou over physically and that had end very badly, one of the worst ways that he could have ever thought of. The Shadow covered his tracks by hiding his fear with a justifying story, only to have one of the twins personally attack him with words and then for Hotaru of all people to snap in front of him. A feat that had shocked even Leo the Lion.
"Say... Kohaku..." He was talking a lot. For someone of so little words, he was speaking a lot. "If anything happens to me, know that you're the one I trust to be in charge. That's why... I trust you with a smaller group for the circus. Protect them for me. And if anything ever happens... to me, of course, I want you to take the role of leading everyone. I want you to take my ring when we go to the circus, just to give you a boost. No arguing." That was a final order from Tadashi, that look at he gave Kohaku being that he meant his words and wouldn't take no for an answer. "Then, tell everyone. I'll be late to school today. I have a few... matters to discuss before I go. If you ever need guidance when I'm not there... seek the real King's guidance. His light can help you when I cannot reach you." Those words were final ones, he was obviously done with talking.
It wore down on him and it was barely even the start of the day. What a long day this would be. And it would only get longer and longer and drag on if anything else happened. This week would... not prove to be fun, but it would be one that he should have started a long time ago. But now that Shou had revealed such a threat, he would have to match his pace. He couldn't reveal the threats and he couldn't reveal who the Deadly Sins were, but he definitely could tell them key points that he had learned himself. Just as Pride countered nearly all the zodiacs, Leo countered nearly all the Deadly Seven.
His dark eyes moved down to his shadow, narrowing his eyes. What are you planning next, demon?

[ so, hotaru finished breakfast, basically, and we're just saying that aries helped him out for the sake of it. tadashi, leo, went out and met with shou, pride, and brought him back to the house bc they have a secret thing between them to keep the zodiacs safe and amuse the deadly seven. a few of the deadly seven probably are switching schools, which means the truce between the two sides will have to end very soon. katashi got offended from something that shou said and snapped at him, resulting in hotaru snapping at him and then the twins going out and shou leaving, with tadashi there secretly terrified. ren, aquarius, walked shou out and the gemini twins left. kohaku is talking to tadashi secretly in the kitchen after hotaru asked about going to the circus and tadashi agreed.
that's basically the summary of it! everyone but kohaku and tadashi are on their way to school, i believe, for the zodiacs. nobody in the zodiacs knows who or what the threat is, but before shou offended katashi, he covered up for tadashi making a mistake and mentioning that there was supposedly a dark shadowy thing chasing him that was out to get tadashi. so they now kinda know about what they might be up against, but they don't really know for sure.
i think that's everything? ]

[These are very quick posts so forgive me if they're short and not very pretty XD]
Natsumi had left alongside the other Zodiacs, slipping a coat on and grabbing her schoolbag before rushing out of the door so as not to be late- she hated being late. So much.
Hideki had told her that he had forgotten to grab one of his books for school, something that he didn't usually do, but then she supposed that this particular morning had not started as it usually did. He had told her to walk ahead; he would see her at school.
She had suspected, of course, that Hideki was lagging behind a little bit because he wanted space to think. Natsumi was familiar with this. When he felt uncomfortable with something, then he often wanted to be alone so he could think things through for himself. She liked to give him his space in those situations, lest he get frustrated.
And the object of these suspicions, these concerns, she felt she knew also. The visitor to the house. Shou. Everything about him felt wrong, and she knew that every single Zodiac had seemed to bristle in his presence, feeling uncomfortable and suspicious. She didn't like him being around, not one little bit, but she trusted Tadashi. Leo was in control of the situation, she was sure.
She walked among some of the other Zodiacs, not really saying much but instead just trying to clear her head. She had no space in her mind to be thinking about their guest, she had bigger things to focus on. Well, she didn't really, but she told herself that she did because she didn't really want to dig too deeply into this situation.
Some stones, after all, were much better left unturned.
She absentmindedly listened to snippets of conversation, but continued to resist jumping in unless she was directly addressed by one of the others. This had been a strange morning, and Natsumi wasn't the most adept of the Zodiacs when it came to rolling with changes. Some could adapt to change almost instantly, and Natsumi was sometimes a little bit thrown off. She told herself that this was just one of those times, and she didn't actually need to listen to her gut instincts here, which were screaming that something was wrong.
