I think it'd be hard to continue with Arlo/Keilana and Mick/friends just cause like the dance but I'd be willing to start something new once I finish this paper. I'd say Jordan and Kris fall under the continuation umbrella though)

"I don't know. I just think it would be fun. Ohhh, someone could secretly be chosen to be the murderer and we leave clues for the dance guests. If anyone figures out who the killer is, they get a prize. At the end of the night, the killer is publicly outed and thrown into jail, which could be like a dunk tank or something," Chase said, his eyes lighting up at the idea. Maybe next year he could volunteer to plan the dance instead of Drake.
"I've always liked to be high. The roof was my favorite place as a kid. My parents were so mad and tried to get me to stop climbing up there, but I always found a way," Chase said with a laugh. "When I want on the roof, I was in a branch in the tallest tree. I loved heights. Arlo didn't, but I did," he said. "I's love to live in the mountains some day and get my pilots license too," he said dreamily.
"Eh, don't worry about it. Vincent's a chump," he said with a shrug. He was secretly glad she hadn't come with the other boy. Chase was having a lot more fun up here with Ash than he would've if Victoria had come with him.
***
"Should I text Sophia and tell her not to give Jace a make over then? I mean, I'm kinda supporting this whole thing. Sophia has a tendency to date guys... well, no offense, Mason, but guys like you," she said. Of course, Sophia's guys weren't as bad as Mason, but they still weren't the most prized guys.
"It's not that high of a compliment," Mia teased. "Jack loves Dad jokes. I have no idea how Jace puts up with him and actually enjoys spending time with him. Can you believe he's friends with my brother? I don't get it. I can barely live with Jack and he's paying for the biggest portion of our rent."
"Well, it certainly shows. Who would've bought big bad Mason could dance?" She teased, surprisingly enjoying her time with Mason. "So how's Drake been doing? I haven't had a chance to talk to him since the night of the party," she said. She'd hadn't talked to either of the brothers much before this year, but she was surprised to see how much she actually liked both Drake and Mason.

Jordan shrugged without much of an answer. Honestly, East Grove sucked if you didn't find yourself begging to be one of the populars. There were only a few requirements to fit in with them. Rich. Good looking. Jerk. Jordan only fit two of those requirements (if one could call her rich). But she still found herself torn. Her best friend was at Westbrook and the environment had to be nicer than her current school, but she'd developed a loyalty for the school she'd been attending her whole life. Plus, she knew her parents were right. East Grove was simply a better school and would make it easier for her in the future. So she decided not to answer Kris. "I know you're wise, Kris. That's why I came to you," Jordan teased. She turned her head to glance at her cousin for a minute. Kris was the only one she'd talked to about Kyle. Their breakup also meant Jordan's fall from popularity at East Grove. She'd been at the top of the hierarchy (anyone who dated Kyle or his friends made that level), and now she'd be shoved to the bottom. Why? Because Kyle was #1 and if he didn't like you, he'd push you down. Jordan knew her refusal to get back together with him would knock her down to the bottom of the pyramid. She really was not ready to go back to school. Jordan grinned at her cousin's enthusiasm to back her up. If Kris wasn't related to her, Jordan still knew she'd be keeping her around. She was a good friend to have. "Alright, well if I run out of things to say, punch him. Then we can run before he figures out what's going on," Jordan said, grinning. Kyle deserved to be hit, especially by a girl. "Also, I'd love to see his face when he's not only punched, but punched by a little Westbrook girl. His pride will take the biggest beating." She knew how her ex operated. He could never imagine a girl being able to take him down like that. "I'd love if he lost his scholarship. He's already broken so many of the things he had to do or avoid doing to keep it. The problem is that they can keep it quiet. His parents do it because they think Kyle is like perfect. The school does it because his scholarship is from a really good college. Looks good for them. And nobody that knows says anything because he's Kyle," she said with a frown. She'd been disgusted when Kyle brought her into his room where no one could hear and talked about his scholarship. He said he wanted to see how much he could get away with. Jordan thought that was a total jerk move. "Any good Westbrook guys? Like I said, there's very few options left at my school," she said. Why? Because she wasn't good enough for Kyle. That automatically meant she'd be assumed to not be good enough for most of the guys there. It didn't break her heart. Very few were better people than Kyle. "Or maybe I should leave the guys alone for a bit and get a dog. Dogs are cool. They won't break your heart," Jordan said. She'd always wanted a dog, but her brother was allergic. Now that he was at college, she begged her parents but they refused because he came home during breaks. {Got distracted drawing, gahh >.< } "Aww, you actually like my advice?" Kris said and giggled. She still wasn't too sure about the words that came out of her mouth. Seriously, she had no idea what she was saying half the time; she just knew it sounded right. She and Jordan, for all that they got along, were entirely different people. She liked to have fun with her, but where Jordan liked her status at school, Kris didn't get the point. She spent a lot of time focusing on her future, which meant that high school was pretty much unimportant other than a way to get into a good college. She didn't understand "social pyramids," and so she often found herself unsure of what to say in regards to Jordan's status at East Grove. "Yes! I'd love to see him punched by a scrawny thing like me!" She laughed happily. She wasn't actually scrawny, no matter how much she liked to say she was. She did take karate lessons in the past and she liked keeping up with her exercise, so it wasn't like she was unfit. She was just naturally skinny and didn't show a lot of muscle, so people were surprised when she told them she did exercise regularly. It would be awesome being underestimated by Kyle and knocking him down a peg or two. "If only I were rich enough to hire a lawyer," Kris groaned. "But then I'd have to go through a whole complicated process over getting evidence of the things he's done and all that. It would totally be worth it. He would have a much harder time getting a good job with a conviction on his hands." She looked gleeful at the thought of getting him convicted for anything. Unfortunately, she was pretty sure she could get arrested for recording someone without probably cause--or being a cop--so she couldn't get evidence that way. She stopped that train of thought before she could start to actually consider it. "Dogs are always the best option," she said, nodding solemnly. "But ehh, there are some guys that are jerks and some guys are cool. Like Drake! Even though his brother is a jerk, Drake is pretty cool. And there are a few other guys that are a lot of fun. Then you have your average popular guys that I hate." She rolled her eyes at the thought. "Those guys are typically the ones that care about the rivalry. The guys I know are pretty chill about that stuff. Well, Drake is pretty competitive, but he's a football player so that's a given. Seriously though, you're probably better off with a dog." Kris would take a dog over a boy any day.

((Aww. XD Look at Kris, talking up Drake.))
Jace nodded his head. "Yeah, I'm just going to step outside." He wasn't sure if she was coming with him. Jace excused himself past the other people and stepped outside, breathing in the cool air.
--
Drake laughed and shook his head. "No, no. I'm not flirting. Just... almost everyone else is." He explained. "I'm not much of a dating type of person." Drake was cool with a little bit of flirting, but he never really dated.
--
"That is a perfect idea. We totally have to do that next year. It'll be the perfect way to end senior year, too. A really cool mystery. Let's do it." Ash was getting excited about this. It was an excellent idea, and it would be so much fun to try and guess. Chase had some good ideas.
"Really? That sounds cool. Being up high like that... not my cup of tea, though." She could see his parents getting upset about it. "Do you want to be a pilot? Like as a job?" Ash asked. It would be a fun job, being able to explore like that.
Ash laughed for a moment and then looked over at Chase. "Yeah. I guess you're right. I'm glad I didn't come with him. I don't know what I was thinking." She sighed and looked down at the crowd.
--
"Yeah, probably. I mean, if you want to. He'd probably be fine either way. Jace will suck it up." Mason replied. Jeez, how did Jace have such luck with hot girls? "It's about time he finds someone else to date."
Mason shrugged. "Jace attracts weird people and gets along with everyone. I don't know. Maybe he's into dad jokes?" It seemed logical... probably.
"Everyone who has seen me dance," he replied with a wink. "Drake is Drake. He's never home because he's constantly planning dances, or he's practicing sports, or he's at games."

(But she still says a dog would be better XD)
"See? I'm hot, funny, and smart," Chase teased. He nudged Ash with his shoulder. Arlo would normally tell him it's a stupid idea, but then support his brother anyway because that's just how Arlo was. It was nice to have somebody vocally supporting his ideas.
"Yeah, now that they're never home, I can go up there as often as I want," he said. As long as he didn't bring Ella up, Arlo didn't are about his brother going up on the roof. And that's all Chase wanted. He shrugged. "Nah, I like being home too much for that. I just want a small plane I can take up on the weekends. You know?"
"Vincent just thinks that because he's smooth, he can get any girl he wants. Good job for showing him that's not how it works," Chase said. He turned to Ash, a big smile on his face.
***
"I'll just give her a warning and let her do what she wants," Mia said, slipping her phone out. She sent the text quickly, barely pausing her dancing. "What was his last girlfriend like?"
"Who actually likes Dad jokes? And puns?" Mia asked, laughing and rolling her eyes at her brother's sense of humor. At least he wasn't as much into the dirty humor some guys were.
"Well, now I guess I can believe you've got moves," Mia said. "Drake's a busy kid, huh?" she asked, thinking about Mason. He must be busy too, right? Working or whatever he had quit school for? He didn't seem like the type to just sit around all day. At least, he didn't seem that way to Mia.

((Drake is kind of dog-like. XD))
"Wow. Full of yourself, huh?" Ash said. She was joking, of course. Chase may have sometimes seemed full of himself, but by this point, Ash knew it was all jokes.
"So like a hobby plane? That's cool." She replied and hesitated for a moment before adding. "We used to have a small plane. Like, when I was really little. Jace might remember it better. Our dad sold it at some point, or..." Ash frowned. "You know, he may have bashed it in with a bat and set it on fire. I really can't remember what happened to it, just that one day it was gone."
Ash laughed. "Yeah, the fellow cheerleaders are going to be mad at me for turning him down, but oh well." She didn't regret it at all, that was for sure. "They are taking forever with this break." She looked around to see where the two "masked" singers were and she caught sight of Zorro, aka Jace, walking outside. "Oh, this is gonna take forever."
--
Mason hesitated. He wasn't sure how Jace would feel about Mason telling others about his last girlfriend. "She was... sweet. Really, really sweet. Good. Straight A's, never got into trouble, never had a mean thing to say about anyone. Loved Bruno Mars, and back then, Jace pretty much just stayed in the music room all alone all the time. He would skip classes, even. She uh... she would hangout with him down there and helped make him more social." Well, as social as Jace could be. He knew how heartbroken Jace had been when she moved.
"Well, I guess Jace does. Who knows? He's a weird person. Some dad jokes are funny in a 'please don't do that again' kind of way." He joked. Mason had heard a few okay dad jokes, laughed at a few of them but, for the most part, he just tried to ignore them.
"Thanks, feel free to spread the word." Mason smirked at her. "Yeah. He's always been. Ever since I can remember, he has never stopped moving." He knew that a lot of it had to do with Drake just not wanting to stop and think about their mother, or their fathers, or anything else.
--
"Thanks," Drake was beaming at that. "I try to be nice. The way I figure it, this world is so bad, why not try and spread a little bit of happiness where I can?" He laughed and spun in a circle because why not. "I mean, I get laughed at a lot, but it makes people happy." Drake was the kind of person that would ask a stranger if they were okay, the kind of person who would smile when he locked eyes with strangers, as long as it made their day a little bit better.

("Let's get a dog." "Okay, how about Drake?" "Yup! Drake works" XD)
"Me? No way! Most humble guy you'll ever meet," Chase said, shaking his head a bit. He laughed, always amused by his jokes about being full of himself. He had a very immature sense of humor.
"That's really cool. Why'd your dad get rid of it?" Chase asked. He didn't think he'd ever be able to part with a plane. Though maybe Ash's Dad had some problem with it if he set it on fire....
"Why, but why be miserable with someone you don't want to be with just to impress others?" Chase asked. There was a reason he turned down half the girls that asked him out.
He sighed, following her gaze as one of the singers left. "Maybe he's just grabbing something from his car?" He suggested, hoping it wouldn't take too long.
***
"Huh, thy sound cute," Mia said. She'd been described similar to that, but she didn't have feelings for Jace. "Well, even if they don't end up together, I hope Jace finds someone that makes him happy," Mia said. She didn't know Jace well, but he seemed to be a good guy. Jack and Sophia barely shut up about him. Good people deserved happinesss.
Mia rolled her eyes. "Jack's overkill with the Dad jokes though. I mean it's either Dad jokes or life advice. Jace must really like one of those two things to be friends with Jack," she said. She just didn't even question Jack anymore.
"Oh, I will. I'll have guys knocking down your door for dance lessons," she teased. "And Jack too, cause he's horrible." She listened to him talk about Drake. "At least he's doing good things. School activities. Sports," she said, not elaborating. She knew Drake could be getting himself into trouble with crime or drugs.

After a couple minutes of rest, Jace headed back inside. "Ready?" He asked Tamara.
--
((YES. XD Drake the Dog. Although Drake ironically is scared of dogs.))
Ash laughed. "Humble. Sure you are." She said with a smirk. Yep. Ditching Vince to hangout with Humble Chase was definitely a good idea.
She was quiet for a moment as she looked down at the hordes of people. "It was our mother's. He got rid of everything that was hers." She shrugged. "It was cool, I guess."
"Fair point." She replied. "I guess to secure that whole 'I am cool' thing. I have worked hard to be popular." That was a lie. Ash had just been lucky enough to friend the right people.
"Well he better hurry." Ash grumbled. It was weird to know that it was Jace, but not be able to let anyone else know.
--
Mason nodded his head. "They were cute. He needs to date someone else to move on from her." It had been nearly a year since Jace and her had broken up. "He'll find someone that makes him happy. I'm positive."
"And he gives life advice in a very dad way.... You have a strange older brother." He added. Well, Jack was kind of funny. "Maybe Jace is secretly a dad joke kind of guy."
"Send him over. I can start charging money for it." That would be a good way to make money... If Mason was a bit of a better dancer. "Yeah. It's, uh, healthy, I suppose. School stuff... Better than other stuff Drake has done." He laughed.

(I'm gonna have Chase get a dog)
"I am," Chase said, trying to keep his expression wide eyed and serious. A laugh forced its way out anyway. He grabbed a handful of glitter and tossed it at Ash.
"Oh," Chase said, not wanting to bring up her mother. He let the topic of planes and flying drop and instead shrugged.
"I've worked hard to be popular. And somewhat popular, I guess. I haven't hit popular popular yet," he said. "Uh, Arlo and I were pretty unpopular at our old school actually. Arlo had it better than me, and I was pretty much at the bottom and middle schoolers are cruel," he said. He thought that explained Arlo's obsession with being cool. He wanted to do better than he had at their old school.
"Look, there he is," he pointed out, nodding as the singer entered the building once again. "Drake knows who they are, right? Did he tell you if they were students or pros?" he asked, curious about the identities of the masked performers.
***
"I mean, if you want to try getting him and Sophia together, I'm all for it," she said. She shrugged. "But don't worry, I'd never force the relationship if Jace makes it clear he doesn't like Sophia that way. I may not know him as well as Sophia and Jack do, but that doesn't mean I don't respect him."
Mia shook her head. "No, please tell me he didn't try to give you advice, Mason. I'm so sorry about anything Jack might've said," she said, her face turning pink. Jack really was as bad as a Dad.
"I would literally empty out Jack's bank account to get rid of those moves. Or his wallet, I guess. I don't have access to his accounts," she said with a shrug. "Please don't share the details of this 'other stuff' Drake's done. please, Mason, I'm innocent and naive."

Jace nodded his head and walked after her. He was ready to start up again.
--
((YES. DOG. XD))
Ash tried to slap the glitter away, but it was no use. Soon, she had pink glitter on her hand and a section of her costume. She tried to wipe the glitter on her hand off on Chase, but obviously it didn't come off. "Man, glitter really does stick."
"But if you become a cheerleader, you will be popular popular." She pointed out, although it probably didn't work the same way for guys as it did for girls in cheerleading. "Jeez, I'm sorry. I'm glad you're here now, at least. There isn't a ton of bullying here." She couldn't even imagine how bad it could be. Jace had been bullied a bit, but Ash never had.
"They're both students," Ash replied. She grinned as they started heading back towards the stage. "Perfect. I can't wait for them to finish."
--
"Might as well. Jace isn't getting anywhere on his own." Mason answered. "Although, it seems like Sophia might be doing that perfectly fine by herself."
"Oh, he did. But don't worry, I can't even remember what he said!" He said cheerfully and laughed. "It was after that party and all sorts of dumb stuff happened. It was so awkward."
"Alright, well, I don't know how good of an idea that is." Mason replied. "Oh, he never did anything too illegally.... Well... Yeah, nothing too illegal. He never got arrested." Although that was because of Ash and Jace's dad, and Drake's ability to talk himself out of anything.
--
"Thanks! I agree. Well, not like me. Just nicer and less judgemental." Drake grinned

(Chase is just gonna come home with a puppy. Arlo: bro. You do realize we have a child to take care of??)
"That's why it'll be so great to dump it on all those little dots below us," he said, laughing as he sprinkled a few pieces of glitter down below. Nobody seemed to mind. "I can't wait. They better hurry up with their music," he said. They could do t before the music ended.
"Maybe, though I'd probably get more points by joining football," he said. Chase knew being a cheerleader wouldn't make him popular, but if he befriended the other girls on the team, then maybe they could help him with his popularity when they realized he wasn't a creep. He shrugged. "Yeah, it happened, but its all in the past now. I'm glad to be here too," he said, watching Ash. He'd never have met her if he still went to his old school.
"You know who they are? Don't worry, I won't ask you for their identities," he said, though he wouldn't mind if Ash told him. "I can't wait either. They're taking so long", he groaned.
***
"Well, I know she's waiting to spot him. She said she's got a great night planned if she can convince him to skip with her. She won't tell me what it is, but I don't care. As long as she's not dragging him along to the mall or something," she said, shaking her head. Sophia was interested in the mall, but Mia had a feeling Jace wasn't. Sophia had to be smart enough to realize that. "Well, if you have any ideas to help Sophia, let me know."
Mia laughed. "Yeah... that night was something..." she said. "I ended up having a good time. Jack sent Drake to rescue me. We talked, danced, went to Walmart," she said. She shrugged. "Well, I'll try to stop Jack from doing that again," she said, not even wanting to ask what Mason did after the party.
"Mason, please. I'm the innocent, naive, and absolutely adorable one here. I don't want to hear about whatever you and Drake do when I'm not around," she said, shaking her head. She wanted to keep herself away from doing anything bad like they did.

"They'll finish eventually. And then we can go down and dance in the glitter." Ash was most excited about that. She loved dances and being able to, well, dance. "See, the problem with your costume is that I can't cover your hair in glitter."
"Would you be excited to play football? Would you actually like it? I don't think you would." The little about Chase that she knew made her think that he truly wouldn't like it in the least bit. "Is it because you met me and I'm just super cool?" She asked, looking at Chase with a grin.
"No! I just know that they're students." Ash answered. Well, it was partially the truth. She didn't know who the girl was.
