Plot/News

Literally so much, let me try and keep up.

- First up, we had a mad party. Everyone attended. Mia and Mason chatted, Mason had a little breakdown, and Jack tried to talk him up with a nice dad talk. Arlo and Keilana "chatted" (I say they were flirting). Chase and Ash exchanged cake for apple juice, got a sugar high, and had a splendid night together. Jace and Sophia chatted it up and left the party to go sit at the beach and had a lovely time. Oh! And Drake and Mia headed off to Wal-Mart after hours for a fun time.

- Later, Kris went out with her cousin, Jordan. Jordan is from *gasp* East Grove! Westbrook's arch enemy! Anyway, while out and about, Drake popped in and they all hung out together and had wonderful time. Jordan was reeling from her breakup with her ex, Kyle, and had some girl time (and ice cream) to chat it over with Kris later that night.

- Mason also tried to set Jace up with his buddy, Elita, but it horribly backfired because both Elita and Jace were way too shy and awkward to take to it nicely. Elita then met Mick, and the two hit it off... but still awkwardly.

- Mason and Mia came together to try and push Jace and Sophia together. It kind of backfired since Mia had to pretend like she was into Mason, but didn't want to go alone, for Jace and Sophia to agree to come. Instead of chatting it up, Jace and Sophia spent the time complaining about Mason and Mia, while Mason and Mia stepped outside so Mason could take a casual smoke break. Great stuff.

- I think Mick went to school and ran into Clay and Conan, who told him that Elita had dropped out. I may not have read over those posts, but I know something like that happened. *Awkward cough*

- There was a beautiful Halloween Dance, thrown by Drake! Jace played the music, but wore a mask so no one knew it was him. Him and Sophia later skipped to hangout more and had a great time. Mason and Mia danced together. Chase and Ash dumped buckets of glitter on the attendees as a joke. It was beautiful.

- Some crazy truth or dare stuff happened. Lots of kissing and couple pushing from Westbrook's very own Cupid, Kris. In all actuality, she was trying to get Drake and Jordan together, but figured why not push some others together while she was at it? Those couples being Mason x Mia, Chase x Ash, Arlo x Keilana, Mick x Elita, and Jace x Sophia. Jordan also tried to get back at Kris by inviting her good old buddy Zeze Zero to hit up Kris! But... it didn't go quite according to plan, and Mason and Zero absolutely hate each other and Zero and Kris didn't really hit it off.

- After Chase joins the cheerleading team to hangout with Ash more (as friends -- not anything more), the cheerleaders start hitting on him and poking fun at Ash. After practice one day, while Chase is in the locker room, Brittany heads in and kisses him. At this time, Ash walks in after realizing what the cheerleaders had planned and sees it happen. She walks away upset by not knowing why she's upset since obviously they're just friends, and then Chase comes in. Long story short, they realize their true feelings and they start dating! Finally, the first couple in Westbrook.

- Keilana's ex-boyfriend, Jake the Jerk, shows up and ends up being buddies with Arlo and Chase from way back in the day! Arlo invites him and Keilana to dinner, so Keilana convinces Ash to go and of course, Chase is there, too. After Jake's shameless flirting with Ash and then trying to complain about Keilana, Arlo and Chase both punch him in the face and then have to go to the hospital because they don't know to punch. Amateurs.

- Jordan, from East Grove (aka Westbrook's enemy school) invites Drake to a dance. Drake is ecstatic and surprises Jordan with a cute little rose. They go to the dance, walk in, meet a few nice East Groveians, and then Kyle, Jordan's ex, approaches. After touching Jordan and calling her babe, Jordan punches Kyle in the face and he goes to retaliates, but Drake moves in the way and he gets punched instead. One fight later, Drake is on the ground getting kicked by Daniel, Kyle's older brother, and ends up heading to the hospital with a lot of injuries and a lot of blood. Once at the hospital and somewhat cleaned up, he tells Jordan that he likes her. Awww.

- Mia also gets informed that their family has lost its money, meaning that her college will not be paid for and that they will struggle to afford the apartment that she lives in with Sophia and Jack. Numb and sad, she shows up at Mason's door. Mason is not very comforting or... anything, but he does give her some tips. Mia then gets dressed in a little more revealing clothes and the two head to the club where Mia attempts to both smoke, and also flirt with random club dudes. She loves the feeling, but it is cut short when Drake ends up at the hospital.

- Sophia, reeling from the same information as Mia, shows up at Jace's for comfort. They watch television for a bit, snuggle Jeffrey, and finally, Sophia wants to talk. So they start talking, and Sophia tells Jace that she likes him. Jace, still hung up on his ex, asks her to leave. Sophia leaves. Jace then crawls under his blankets and refuses to come out. Sophia also crawls under her blankets and refuses to come out. Mature.

- Mace and Ash met up in a coffee shop after not talking for years. After a quick conversation, they caught up and realized how much each other had changed. Well... Mace had changed since he was now popular and into sports. Ash... not so much. She'd always been a happy, popular cheerleader. The two agreed to catch up more later, and maybe even hangout a couple times here and there. All sorts of cute friendship stuff.

- Chase and Arlo, thanks to the punching of Jake's face, are being forced to move away thanks to their lovely father. Way to go. Total Dad of the Year Award right there. Anyway, Chase and Ash agreed to try out the long distance relationship thing, not ready to give up their relationship after literally less than a day of officially dating. Poor kids.

Crystal “Kris” Adler | 16/Sophomore | αυяσяα ησx
Kris has short dirty blonde hair cut into a pixie cut and light blue eyes. Standing at 5’5”, she’s very sensitive about her height and is perfectly willing to kick anyone who mentions it. She’s generally a quiet person, but when engaged, she’s outgoing and peppy. When she has an opinion, she usually has no problem saying it, and is pretty stubborn in keeping her opinions. Typically, she’s pretty chill and chooses to go along with other people. She doesn’t seem to have many cares in the world, but she loves her family and her friends and is perfectly willing to fight for them. Fortunately, it takes quite a bit to get her angry. Because she generally doesn’t seem to care for talking unless she’s with friends or family, people seem to think she’s shy. In all reality, she just doesn’t care and if interested or bored, she would absolutely engage other people. She’s also surprisingly studious, even though she talks big about being adventurous.

Hemera "Nyx" King | 15 (Sophomore) | Female | Blaze
Nyx is a petite thing, standing at barely five foot even, although she constantly hopes that she will get at least a little bit taller before high school is over. Her dark brown hair is always left in its naturally, thickly curled state. She absolutely hates humidity because it will cause her hair to poof out even more. Nyx's eyes are also dark brown in color, and her skin is dark brown as well. Her clothing is fairly simple, consisting of cutesy tops and jeans with either flats or Converse sneakers, often with all of her clothes stained with paint.
She is a bit of a firecracker... if you can get her to talk. Nyx is a bit of a shy being and will never be the first to introduce herself or start up conversation (okay, maybe that's a little bit of an exaggeration). How she managed to get the friends she has, the world may never know. That being said, she is a sucker for peer pressure and has already gotten into trouble many times in the past after stupidly following her friends or other people. Once she is comfortable around someone, Nyx can be a bit of a mess and will become loud and boisterous around her friends. She is also a bit of an artist, and almost always has her sketchbook with her and her hands stained with paint.
When she was little, Nyx's mother used to read her Greek mythology bedtime stories. Her parents had always been very into Greek mythology, hence why their only daughter was named Hemera, after the "Goddess of Day." Later, when Nyx was older and headed out with some not-so-good peers, they invited her to do some graffiti and told her that she had to come up with a name to put on the wall. Remembering back to those stories, she chose to go with Nyx, the "Goddess of the Night," and has been called Nyx by her fellow peers ever since. Oh, and she did caught.

Ashton "Ash" West | Gender | 16/Junior | Blaze
This spunky girl is 5'4" even with lightly tanned skin. Ash is a little on the heavier side, but still with nice curves. Her hair is long and dirty blonde in color, falling in waves around her face. Ash's eyes are the same blue-green shade as her older brother, Jace's. Ash is the kind of girl that isn't afraid to get in a fight, or argue, or state her opinion in a loud, matter-of-fact way. At first glance, she appears rather prickly but somewhere beneath that rough exterior, Ash can be friendly... as long as you don't get on her bad side. The Number 1 way to make Ash mad is to simply call her Ashton, since she absolutely despises her first name. Basically, she's the polar opposite of her brother in a hundred and one different ways and is quite popular at school.

Drake Martin | Male | 16/Sophomore | Blaze
He's on the shorter side, standing at around 5'8", with a somewhat muscular body, but definitely not a body builder type body. Drake has shaggy black hair that falls in front of his pale, silvery-blue eyes. His hair is usually a mess, but it looks good on him. His clothing is nothing to be jealous about: t-shirts, the same simple gray hoodie, skinny jeans and black boots, unless it's warm out or he's getting ready for practice, in which case it is always basketball shorts and sneakers. Drake is an easily likable guy. He's polite, friendly, a perfect gentleman despite the terrible hand he was dealt in life. He's very close to his older brother, Mason. Drake has a ton of friends and is very active and is part of almost every sport imaginable, making him almost always busy. Of course, he does sometimes have his bouts of depression, which are bad, but the medication he is on helps to level him out. For the most part.

Arlo Callahan | Male | 16/Junior | Ariat
Arlo looks very similar to his brother. He's tall and skinny without much muscle on his body. His skin is well tanned and his dark hair is kept short and neat. Arlo's eyes are bright blue and his skin is unmarked by scars or pimples. What most people see out in public isn't the real Arlo. He's a jock and tries to act as if he doesn't care. He seems like a jerk at times, but it's just because he believes this is how he'll get 'far' in high school. With his closest friend, Arlo is a lot like Chase. He likes to goof off and make others happy. Unfortunately most people don't get to know Arlo enough to know that side of him. Arlo lives with his parents, brother, and six year old sister. He grew up spending his summers here and his school year with his grandmother, but since high school he's lived here all year long.

Chase looks similar to his brother. He's a few inches taller and a few pounds heavier. His skin is a bit lighter, and his hair is kept a little longer. That's where the differences end. Both boys have the same dark hair, the same bright blue eyes, and the same bright white smile and straight teeth due to braces throughout middle school. Chase is troublemaker. He has a good heart and good intentions. He's more of a class clown type than a bad boy type. Chase isn't always popular because people are afraid of being his next target, but he's generally well liked. Chase lives with his brother, sister, and parents. After spending his summers here, he began living here full time at the beginning of high school.

Keilana Lennox | Female | 16/Junior | αυяσяα ησx
Keilana has straight black hair that reaches her midback and southeast Asian features. Her skin is somewhat pale and her eyes are dark brown. She’s a pretty friendly girl, but tries too hard to fit in and be liked. She doesn’t know how much of her is actually her or not, as she spends a lot of time molding herself into what other people expect of her. Despite this, she actually has a fair amount of self-awareness, common sense, and good friend choices. She can come across as a bit conceited at times because she knows when she looks cute and likes to flaunt it. Even though she seems to never stop talking when she’s around people, she never actually says anything about herself or her opinions. She gets uncomfortable with displays of affection, whether platonic or romantic, but does enjoy the occasional hug and cuddling from those she’s close to. She’s brand new to the city and having moved from a small town where everyone really did know everyone, she’s found herself out of her element and unsure of how to proceed without the support of her friends.

Kairos "Kai" Copeland | 16 (Junior) | Male | Blaze
Kai is, in some ways, intimidating. He stands at about five foot five, although he's bound to get taller with age, and is thickly muscled with broad shoulders and dark tan skin. His dark brown hair hangs just above his large, also dark brown eyes, and is generally not styled, but he does try to brush it so that it looks at least halfway decent. Freckles dot across his nose and cheeks but they are somewhat hard to notice. Kai isn't stunning or noticeable and tends to mostly fade into the background in a lot of things. His clothing is also simple, and unnoticeable: faded jeans, old sneakers, and a flannel over some plain t-shirt.
Similar to his looks, Kai's personality is unremarkable, unnoticeable. He's the silent type, choosing to listen to what others have to say and let everyone else tire themselves out with arguing before butting in with his opinion, which he'll stand by until the end. It's hard to make him change his mind once he's set in his ways. With all of that, it is hard to get under Kai's skin and truly make him angry. He's a master of controlling his emotions and remaining, more or less, stoic. Despite this, if he feels threatened or like those around him (whether they are friends or not) are being threatened, he will be the first to jump to someone's defense and is no stranger to getting into fights.
Kairos spent much of his life hopping from city to city, school to school, until his mother finally settled them down in this town where he started school just last year, in eighth grade. Because of this, Kai never developed any close bonds with people other than his mother and sister, so he kind of sucks at the whole "socializing" thing and doesn't completely understand some social cues. Because of always being the "new kid," Kai also tended to get bullied a lot which would often lead to fights. Because of this, he's pretty darn good at a street fight with no rules.
He also has a little sister named Eliza.

He is a tall blonde haired kid with brown eyes and normally wear formal clothing. He is kinda and loyal as well as honest but he has a nasty side. If you get on his bad side you are worthless to him so be careful. His past needs to be given inside the roleplay.

Mia is tall and athletic with dark brown hair that's always pulled back into a ponytail. Her skin is pale with an assortment of random scars cause by anything from surgery to being an accident prone little kid. Her eyes are blue. Mia is very adventurous, though that's only when one gets to know her. She can be shy. Mia is also stubborn and competitive as can be. She turns anything into a competition. She comes from a very large family with a brother and a sister, but lives with her cousin. Being from a very successful family, Mia puts a lot of effort into her schoolwork so she isn't a disappointment.

He's a skinny, tall guy, standing at around 5'10" with virtually no muscle mass. Jace's hair is blonde and is kept in a sort of "boy band" look with it falling down over his forehead, and then swooping to the side, although it's hard to see this since he is always wearing a trusty yellow beanie, pulled tightly over his head. His eyes blue-green in color. Jace's clothing attire is fairly simple: some v-neck sweaters and t-shirts in plain colors, some cool skinny jeans, and then some stylish boots. He is also almost always seen with his trusty guitar since he absolutely loves to play.

Sophia Schultz | Female | 18/Senior | Ariat
Sophia looks very similar to her cousins with the same dark brown hair and light skin. However, unlike Jack and Mia, she cares a lot about her appearance. Her hair is always neatly straightened and she invests in the newest, most fashionable clothes and makeup. Her eyes are green. Sophia may come off on the surface as a shallow or vain person, or even as an airhead. She actually is a very nice person. She likes to give, but also wants to turn Mia into a girly girl like her. It's true that's Sophia isn't the outdoorsy type. Dirt scares her and she does anything she can to stay indoors. While she isn't an air head, she does lack the occasional common sense and is currently failing math, but she's too proud to ask for help.

Michael "Mick" Westley | Male | 18/Senior | Ariat
Mick is a tall young man with an athletic build. He's about 6'2 and slightly muscular. Mick's skin is rather pale (much of his annoyance) and any attempt to tan results in a nasty sunburn so it isn't uncommon to see him loading up on sunscreen during the summer time. He's got a few freckles, but not too many. His eyes are a beautiful, intense blue. Mick's black hair is kept short and he has a little scruff on his chin. He normally dresses in athletic shorts (even in the winter) but occasionally wears pants. His wardrobe is mostly made up of t-shirts and hoodies but he also brings a set of nicer clothes whenever he goes somewhere. At first glance, most would be a bite scared of Mick. He's a large man with a tattoo of compass on his upper right arm and a hawk on his calf in honor of his grandfather. Mick is truly a giant teddy bear. He's soft and generally doesn't put up much of a fight, even though it results in him getting taken advantage of or manipulated. He also tries to keep things light hearted and isn't very good when it comes to dealing with emotions or deep topics.

Conan has dark brown hair that’s never seen as anything less than neat and brown eyes. He’s rather average in height and build, if a bit on the lankier side. He always takes extra care to look as immaculate as possible, his clothes never seen with a wrinkle. He wears glasses, but the only ones who know that they’re fake are his friends. He’s incredibly smart and knows exactly what to do to get his way, but he has a no-nonsense attitude and pretty much ignores anyone that isn’t a friend. He’s loyal to his friends and values their opinions above all else. He doesn’t bother with things he counts as “beneath him” but he’s a softy who’s weak for anyone he does care for. Normally, he doesn’t get angry and is the one that has to drag people away from fights, but it’s been known to happen. His parents are incredibly strict on him, so he avoids them and his house as much as possible.

Clay has dirty blond hair that looks like a constant mess and light blue eyes. He’s somewhat taller than average, but not by much, and he has a muscular build. He’s pretty much the definition of a hot mess, but he goes through it all with a grin. He’s pretty much hopeless with academics, but he’s good with people. He’s not as oblivious as he seems. He’s cheerful and makes friends easily, always having someone to say hi to in the hallways. He’s always as optimistic as he can get, but in defense of anyone he loves, he’ll get easily angry and try to jump into fights. He can hold a grudge for an incredibly long time, to the point that there are people who had wronged him years ago that he still doesn’t talk to. He tries to be as good a person that he can be. He lives with his aunt and uncle after his parents died in a car crash, so he tries to be as helpful as he can and not cause them trouble.

Sweet! =3 I was thinking about maybe making Drake invite a ton of people to a party at Ash's house. That would pretty much incorporate the vast majority of my characters, at least. Probably not Kat because she is an awkward bean. XD))

((Honestly what I was kind of thinking. XD What if Drake, like, convinced Mia? XD It would also probably have college people because it would most definitely have a Jace, although he cannot party but he can sure as heck try. I might bump Mason up in age since originally him and Jace are supposed to be the same age with Jace being a few months older but then that messes up with a lot of timeline stuff with Drake. Ech.
It could also just be some friends hanging out and Drake, being his little social self, is like "Come, friends! Let's have fun!" and Ash is like "Dude no only cool kids" and Drake is like "But FRIENDS." XD
He has a very nice effect on people and seriously, in all my years of having him, haven't actually had anyone that has disliked him. XD))

(Mason is a bad influence on Mia but she doesn't care Sophia drags Mia to the party. Chase drags Arlo. And I still don't know if I should bring Jack in. I love Jack but also like he's always been a side character. Just Mia's brother. Nothing more)
