Drake had been dancing his way through the crowd, talking with everyone, commenting on their costumes. He was near the edge of the mass of sweaty bodies when he saw Maeve turning to leave. "Oh! Hey! Maeve!" He called through the crowd and managed to finally squeeze his way out. He hopped over to her (yes -- literally hopped) with a bright smile. His cat costume was... uh... bad, but looked adorable on Drake. "You came! I'm so glad! And you look amazing."

((Yep! School thing! ^.^ Run by Drake, and Jace and Annabelle are secretly playing live music in costume. XD So, Jace is dressed up as Zorro, and Annabelle is dressed up as Tamara from something that I can't remember. o.o))
Jace decided he needed to start working out because he was starting to get tired from all of this hopping around and singing, but he was having fun still.

Drake laughed. "No you don't. Mason sticks out," he said and pointed to his older brother who looked stupid, in Drake's opinion, with just a cape on. "You look fine -- come dance!" He smiled and grabbed her hand and started pulling her towards the dancing people.

Jace, y'know, kept singing whatever it was they were singing. Soon, the song came to an end and he stepped back from the microphone, panting and trying to catch his breath.

Drake could tell that she was uncomfortable, which to him was just silly. "No one is going to judge you, I promise! It's a dance. Everyone looks stupid." He called out over the music. Drake did some cool dance moves -- and by cool, I mean he did jazz hands, which then turned into the robot before he laughed and just started bouncing to the music.

{Quick Keilana starter at the dance}
Keilana liked going to school events because she liked showing off, so it was only natural that she went to the Halloween dance. She still hadn't quite managed to make many friends outside of classes--with the pleasant exception of Arlo, even though they didn't often talk during school--so she wasn't actually sure how much fun she would have if she went. She had vain hopes that someone would see her and talk to her for one reason or another, or maybe she'd bother Arlo if he went too.
She chose to be a siren, with dark colors and make-up for the costume as opposed to the generally luminescent colors that people do for sirens. She liked to think she looked better with dark colors, so that was what she went with. It was different, too.
It was a surprise her parents let her go, but a happy one. She had assured them that she didn't have a date--they didn't like the idea of her dating--and so they dropped her off. Hopefully, she'd be able to get a ride home. She took a deep breath and started heading in. She didn't know what she would do, since she didn't know anyone, so she was a bit nervous about the whole thing. She hoped she managed to find someone to talk to. She entertained the thought of someone flirting with her, but she didn't think it would actually happen. She giggled at the very idea. It would be nice, though unrealistic.

"It'd be interesting, that's for sure," Chase commented. He snorted at the idea. "But it'd be a shame for one of us to fall. Ooohhh... imagine a murder mystery themed Halloween dance. Dude, I'm totally suggesting that to Drake for next year," he said, tapping Ash's shoulder to show her what a good idea it was.
"It's not scary. You ever been up high?" Chase asked. He let his legs hand over the students below. He loved being high. "It gives me a feeling of being free and powerful, you know? We can see everything from up here and we're gonna rain terror from above."
He shrugged. "Victoria told me she couldn't make it. Apparently Vincent was super embarrassed that you turned him down. She said she was taking him out for pizza and ice cream," he said with a shrug. Apparently Vince was a bit of a baby.

Mia laughed. "Oh, Sophia's gonna have fun. If he gonna be another unwilling model, like me, or will he just kinda put up with it, like Jack?" Mia asked, knowing there was no way Sophia would let Jace embarrass himself in a cheap vampire costume that made him drool.
"I would hope so. Your jokes are probably better too," she said, letting Mason pull her out into the dance floor. She pushed brought a couple sweaty bodies to stand next to him as they began to dance.
"It's nice having live music instead of just pre recorded stuff," Mia said, laughing as Mason spun her. "You do have moves," she agreed.

Luke hummed as he nodded his head to the beat. He looked around admiring the decoration and the people who were all dressed up. He makes his way to the dance floor ready to get lost in the music.
Frank grunted as he leaned against the wall. Dances and dressing up wasn't his thing but Caspian made him come. So here he was wearing his costume and his mask. Although, he had a feeling most people knew who he was. (They are dressed up right?)
Caspian was talking to a small group of people.
Seth lingered at the edge of the dance. He didn't really know what to do. This was his first ever dance and he felt really nervous.

Jace nodded his head. "Sounds good to me. I'll wait out here and come back when you're done." He replied. It was nice to be away from the stage. Maybe he would step outside and cool down for a few minutes.

Drake laughed. "For the most part, yeah. That's why it's called a dance! You can also eat food and talk and do some flirting." He explained. Sadly... that was right about where the dance activities ended.

"Right, but let's not start with a murder mystery starring one of us falling." Ash said and looked down once again. It made her a little dizzy, so she leaned back. She looked over at him when he tapped her shoulder and she smiled. "Alright, maybe it is a good idea. It would be like Clue. You could come dressed up as what character you want... although if there were, like, five detectives and ten doctors, it would be hard to keep track of who is who."
"No, not really." She shook her head. "I've been on Ferris wheels and some roller coasters, but I did not like them very much." Ash's one weakness: heights. She closed her eyes so that she could try and pretend that she was safely on the ground. "Powerful, huh? I guess that's a beautiful way to look at it. I just view it as being on the edge of death. I like your idea a lot better."
"Oh," Ash turned bright red. "Oops... eh, I don't regret it. I've been turned down before, but I still went to dances." Her red cheeks faded away as she calmed herself down. Well, it was true. When it came down to it, she was having a lot better time sitting up here with Chase than she would have had with Vincent.

"Probably unwilling, but too nice to actually flat out refuse." Mason replied after a moment of thought. Jace would be quietly angry about the makeover, but too nice to tell Sophia no, even though he had no problem fighting Ash -- often physically fighting her -- to stop her from making him look better.
"Aww, I'm touched! I do like to think I have good jokes." Mason's jokes were actually pretty bad, although he did have a few puns and stupid knock knock jokes that he had picked up from Drake. You would be surprised at the number of girls that would fall for a guy that could tell a mean joke.
"Yeah, it's different. Definitely a first for the school. I'm surprised Drake got anyone to agree to it." Although he suspected that there would be no live music for the other dances since dressing up in costume to those would just be silly. He smiled and let go of her hand. "Thank you, thank you. I have spent many years practicing the art of dance."
