Jace stepped up with her. His heart was pounding fast as he started the opening chords to the first song, which I'm assuming is Shut Up and Dance, and then started singing the words when it came time. He kept his eyes focused on the guitar at first since he was nervous but as they played, he started to loosen up and smile.

Ash smiled up at Chase. "You really are a catch, huh?" She replied. Well, in a lot of ways, he was. Chase was one of the better guys at this school. It was no wonder he had so many girls that liked him.

She laughed. "Oh don't worry. He's coming later and I'll cover him in plenty of glitter then." She replied and rubbed her hands together evilly.

"Well, that would ruin the awesome dance moves I was planning, but alright. Lead the way." She said and waved her hand at him. About this time, that started their singing and Ash stopped to look at the stage. They were good.

Mason nodded his head. He could understand that. Sometimes, a change in who you typically dated was a necessity. Maybe he should try that... cleansing his dating palate.

"No, he said he would come by later." Mason replied and then grinned at her. "Wait until you see him in his stupid vampire costume. The fake teeth make him drool." It was gross, but funny.

"You know, I think that's the best description of Jace I've ever heard." He laughed. That perfectly described everything about Jace's life, not just the dating.

"Although you did look pretty good," Mason pointed out. He looked at her once more, and then up at the stage where they were starting to sing. "Sounds cool. Doing all of the zombie costumes."

"Do you wanna dance?" Mason asked as he stood up. He would be dancing one way or another.

Tamara came in with split-second precision and the timing was almost flawless.

"You know it," Chase said, a playful smirk on his lips. He threw her a wink before making his way towards the ladder that would bring them up above where their glitter was hidden. Technically it was frowned upon for students to go up there, but there was nobody around that would tell on him for it. Plus, he said he was helping Drake with the lighting.

"Yeah, is wouldn't suggest dancing if you don't wanna fall and break your neck," Chase warned. He stepped onto the first rung on the ladder before slowly making his way to the top. Once he was up there, he sat with his legs hanging off of the walkway, listening to the two masked performers sing.

"So how's your day been?" chase asked when Ash had climbed up beside him. He ran his hands through a bucket of the pink glitter.

Mia laughed at his description of the costume. She'd never dealt with a cheap and poorly made Halloween costume. Even before Sophia began making costumes, her aunt had taken the same great care in making sure the kids looked their best. "Ah, great. Sophia's probably gonna drag him to the girls bathroom and make his costume better before she convinces him to ditch."

Mia grinned. "See, maybe I know people more than they know me. I like to just sit on the sidelines and observe instead of being in the middle of everything," she said. Actually, Jace had just struck her as that kind of guy. Similar to Jack, but different too.

"Thanks for the compliment," Mia said. She knew she did look good in Sophia's little outfits, but she preferred to find herself dressed in something comfortable.

When Mason offered to dance, she stood up with a small smile. "You don't strike me as a dancing type, Mason. I'd love to see what moves you have," Mia said. She wasn't much into dancing, but she'd be out of this school at the end of the year. If she was going to embarrass herself, she might as well have fun doing it. She made her way to the dance floor.

Baily sighed and rubbed her wrists, wondering when her brother would come to pick her up. She would have walked home already if her father hadn't specifically said not too and she wasn't a stickler for the rules.

Maeve blushed and looked at herself in the mirror. She slowly nodded.

Jace continued to sing, feeling the music through his veins. This was what it meant to be alive. He was loving and adoring every second of this.

He was now looking at the crowd, smiling at the ones that were dancing along to what they were singing.

"Fine, fine." Ash mumbled and climbed up the ladder after Chase. It was kind of difficult to do given her somewhat fancy shoes, and her trying to watch the live performance while she followed.

"I wish I could dance up here." She sighed, but Ash sadly valued her neck and her life. But wouldn't it make the dance more interesting if she fell from the ceiling?

Ash sat down next to Chase and looked down at the other students. "I will say this is kind of scary," she commented and looked at the many buckets of glitter. Wow, this is gonna be fun.

"My day's been good," she replied with a shrug. "Normal. How has your day been? After you meeting Victoria here later?"

Mason laughed. "Jace is going to need it. Ash can never convince him to do anything like that," he explained. "So he always looks horrible for Halloween stuff." Not that Jace usually did Halloween things.

"Well, I have better dance moves than Jack." Mason said, remembering Jack's dad moves from the party. He took Mia's hand and led her out into the large group of dancing people.

"So what do you think of the music?" He asked over the loud singing. Mason spun Mia in a circle, because why the heck not, and kept doing some nice dancing.

Jace's eyes met with her's briefly, and he smiled at her before looking back out at the crowd.

Maeve hesitated outside the door. She heard music pulsing and voices. She reached for the handle yet pulled back to smooth down her dress. Her hair was half u0 and hanging down in curly tendrils. She had a tiara situated amongst the elaborate tendrils. Her lips were a rich wine. Her hand trembled as she grabbed the handle and walked into the dance.

Jace turned been to the microphone. He started the opening chords and looked out at the crowd. He could see a ton of people that he recognized -- all of his friends and for a moment, it made him nervous.
