((No, Lost. xP They're still setting up, but you could probably just skip ahead and add Adriane in if you'd like? XD))
"A friend wingman?" Jace laughed. He hadn't heard of that kind of thing, but he probably needed one. Scratch that, not probably. He definitely needed one. "You sound like Ash, trying to get me to... make friends and be social. Alright. I will talk to a couple people but if something happens like they... they... grow antennas or something, I'm going right back to my room and not coming out."
Mason peered over to look at the playlist and nodded his head. "Sounds good to me," he said and pulled out a cord from the stereo system that he was pretty sure would hook up to her phone. "Wanna use your phone? Or I can go get Jace's laptop or... something, I'm sure." Jace's laptop would probably have plenty of music on it, actually. "Yeah, I haven't really had time to talk to anyone since I dropped out." He replied. It was a touchy subject, in a lot of ways. "I think you look good with the makeup. You should leave it."
Drake peered over at them and laughed. "Ha. And we get to work with food." At her question, he paused, and then frowned, tilting his head to the side a bit. "What do you mean by that? I mean, I'm good. I'm whatever. I'm just here chillin', I guess." He shrugged, unsure of how to respond to her blatant question.

"Bro, if they grow antennas, l go hide out in your room with you," he said. "What about starting with Sophia? She won't bite your head off and I know how to make her like somebody," Jack suggested. "Looks like her and Drake are done. Are you friends with Drake? If not, we could work Drake and Sophia at the first time."
"We could use my phone. If I need it urgently sometime tonight we can get Jace's laptop. Or if we just want a little bit more of a selection," she said, thinking he might have some good music that's not on the popular list. She took the cord and plugged her phone in. Once it was connected, she hit play and turned he volume down so it was low. "I figure we could turn it up when people get here," she said. Seeing that it was working, she hit the pause button. "Really?" she asked about the makeup. She was just so used to seeing herself with little to no make up that it seemed awkward. "I'll keep it on tonight, but tomorrow, I'm going back to my normal self," she said with a small laugh. She figured she'd drop the subject of him dropping out for now. Maybe later she'd ask. Or if they became closer after catching up.
"Yup. Just asking how you are," she said, rephrasing the question a bit since Drake's answer seemed a bit odd. "It's good that you're doing good. It's just really boring when there's not actually a party going on and my cousins ditched me to hang out with other people," she said, glancing at Mia and Mason then Jack and Jace.

Jace laughed. Well, that would make sense. Maybe antennas was a little crazy. He hesitated, looking over at Sophia and Drake. "Drake and I are, uh, we're already friends. But yeah, starting at Sophia might be a good idea." She intimidated him a bit. She was pretty, she was sassy. But if he thought it was a good idea, Jace would give it a try.
Mason nodded his head. "Sounds good to me," he said and took a couple steps away from the stereo since, well, they were done. He looked around and then pointed towards a couch. "I am going to go sit over there until the party starts, wanna join me?" He asked and started towards it without waiting for an answer. "I would expect you to go back to your normal self tomorrow. Wearing a ton of makeup on a normal day? Crazy."
Drake laughed. "Am I not good enough? I can have a fun time. Or I mean, you could just start partying by yourself before the others get here. A party of one." He suggested.

"I'm Keilana," Keilana introduced easily. The two boys were entertaining, and she didn't bother trying to hide her amusement. "Yes, I'm new and yes, I'm going to the party. I was just about to do some shopping for it." It was nice to meet others who were also going to the party. While she didn't have much of an issue going without knowing many people, it was still nicer to know more people so she wouldn't have to stand around waiting for someone to talk to her. There was no guarantee that the people she only somewhat knew would talk to her, but she thought this gave her a bit of a chance at not being a wallflower.

{Okay, that's fine! Don't worry about it.
On the topic of RPing, I kinda wanted to do something with Elita where someone who knew her in high school sees her at her flower shop and confronts her, or someone who doesn't know her sees her and starts talking to her and then it turns out that they know someone who used to know her. Idk, something like that. I just thought it'd be interesting ^^;}

"Alright. I'll distract Drake and you talk to Sophia. If you struggle, I'll be there to help you out. Consider this your first lesson in friending," Jack said. He threw an arm around the other man's shoulders. "Basically, it's hard cause you gotta be likable but it's so much more fun than sitting in your room on your phone all day," Jack said. "Come on, let's go see Sophia," he said without giving Jace a choice.
"It's not crazy for Sophia," Mia said, flopping down on the couch next to Mason. "I think she just wants me to be like her," she said with a frown. "But, hey, we're not here to talk about stuff like that. We're here to have fun, right?" she asked. Her head was resting on the back of the couch, but she turned it to see Mason. For some reason, it felt casual to talk to him. Not awkward and forced like she expected for her first conversation with Mason since he dropped out. She knew the majority of her family would disapprove of her being friends with someone like him, but Jack and Sophia were the only ones there and they wouldn't care.
"Of course, you're good enough, Drake. I just didn't know if you'd be into the whole party thing. Random flirting. Drinking. You know, just letting loose and having fun?" she said. She didn't actually know Drake well at all, but pictured him not being into those kinds of things. Well, now was her chance to get to know Drake better. He seemed like a sweet kid.

((Ooh, Aurora. I like that Elita idea. I'll offer up any of my characters for it if you'd like. XD))
((Alright, Ariat. I'm sorry for your loss.))
"Oh no, I am not ready for this." Jace mumbled, but he walked forward, anyway, one hand tugging on his yellow beanie for comfort. "Right. Friendship. That is all I have to do. Socialize. I can do that. I'm a capable human being capable of human-ing." He said, trying to talk himself up with a somewhat stupid pep talk.
"I don't know why. You're amazing as is." Mason replied with a laugh. Sophia seemed nice, but Mia was unique and wonderful. "Fun, yeah, but the party hasn't even started yet. There's nothing fun to do until then." He laughed. Meaning, he wasn't going to have fun until someone brought some alcohol.
Drake shrugged. "It's here and there. I'll do a little flirting, but I can't drink. I might steal a little fron Mason, but other than that..." He shrugged once more. It was what it was. It wasn't that he refused to drink because it was illegal, he physically couldn't drink. "I mostly like to just make people laugh and make sure everyone is having a good time. What about you?"

(Thanks)
"Hey, Drake," Jack called, speeding up to reach the pair before Jace did. "Come here," he said, getting in between Drake and Sophia. "Sophia, go talk to Jace."
Sophia, who had been about to continue her conversation with Drake, looked confused but wandered away from the boys and towards Jace. "What's wrong with Jack?" she asked, but followed her cousin's instructions.
Jack was already filling Drake in on the situation. "You need to have a conversation with me. I'm helping Jace make friends and I sent him to go talk to Sophia," he explained. Then, louder, he said, "So what's your favorite vegetable? Me? I'm a carrot man myself."
Mia shrugged. "I actually haven't really been to many parties. A few, but it usually ended up with me leaving early because there was nobody to talk to and nothing to do," she said with a shrug. "Sophia and Jack thought I should get out and stop studying for a little bit." She shrugged again, but it seemed her entire life was work and school.
She didn't have it all together like Jack. She didn't have the carefree attitude of Sophia. She needed to work hard if she was going to live up to her family's expectations.
(My cousins are starting to tell me I need to get a boyfriend. A tech guy cause that's all we don't have in the family)

(I'm finally going tk make Adriane show up. haha.)
The party was about to start. Adriane had planned on showing up later but had ended up getting the alcohol. She knocked on the door. Normally she would have walked in but today, knowing Mason was inside, she didn't feel as comfortable doing so.

Do you have a ride?" Chase asked. Arlo frowned. "If you offer everyone you meet a ride, we won't have room in the car." "She's literally the only one I offered." "This time." "Sorry about Arlo," Chase said, frowning st his brother. "Sorry about Chase," Arlo said. As they spoke, Chase checked the time on his phone. "It's almost time for the party anyway. We should probably be heading out. I still have to make my cake."

Drake was at first bewildered by the sudden flurry of talking people and movement, but then he laughed a little when Jack explained the predicament to him. "Good idea," he whispered and then louder; "Potatoes. You can make anything from a potato!"
"Oh, uh, you know... cousins... and Jack. Who knows what's going on in that crazy head." Jace said with a little awkward thumbs up, which he quickly dropped and cleared his throat loudly. "So, uh... Wonderful weather we're having, eh?"
Mason laughed. "That's why you go to parties with at least one other friend. They can giggle with you and give you advice on what guy to go after." Or at least that's what Mason suspected since he had seen it happen with so many other girls that had approached him at parties.
Ash answered the door. "Adriane! Hello! How are you?" She asked, all happiness and bubbly. "I thought you were coming later?" She then noticed the alcohol and put two and two together.

"Potatoes are a good option. I prefer hash browns when it comes to potatoes, but fries aren't bad. I'm not a huge fan of mashed potatoes. What about you?" he asked, almost grinning at the thought of such a stupid conversation. Hey, it was the first thing hat came to mind and he had to act like he was serious about this.
"Yeah, I mean Jack can be odd. He's a good guy, though," Sophia said, glancing towards Jack and Drake. "Um, yeah. The weather's not bad. I'd actually like to get to the beach a few more times before school really gets started. What about you?" she asked. Jace seemed to be acting a little odd, though she didn't know if this was out of character, but she decided to make conversation anyway. If he was friends with Jack, he must not be a bad guy.
"Well, my friends aren't really into parties," Mia said. "Half of them aren't even human," she said with a laugh. "Sorry, that was dorky. I just get along with animals really well, you know?" she said. Then she tilted her head a bit. "Do you want to be my friend at this party, Mason? Which guy should I go after?" she joked, looking around at the limited selection of guys. When it truly came down to it, she was too horrible at flirting to actually do it at a party.

Keilana couldn't help giggling at the boys again. It was cute in a funny sort of way. "Uh, is it really okay for you to ask a stranger if she'd like a ride?" she asked. "Not that I'm complaining! It'd be really cool of you, but, really?" It was a pleasant surprise, actually. Her only mode of transportation was the bus, unless she wanted to bother her parents, which she didn't. Her parents would interrogate her. She wanted to avoid that as much as possible.

"I love mashed potatoes. You can make mashed potato snowmen. But fries are definitely my favorite." Yeah, Drake had a dirty habit of playing with his food. "Now," he whispered. "How long do we have to keep doing this?"
"The beach, huh? We do have a really nice beach. I guess I would want to go a couple times, too." Jace replied. He didn't really do a lot, so he didn't know how else to really answer the question. "I'll admit I don't really go out and do a lot." He replied with a little, awkward laugh. "I just kind of sit inside and listen to music."
"Yeah, I can do that." Mason laughed. "Let's wait until the party picks up a bit, though. At this point my only options are Drake or Jace and you don't want to date either of them." He replied with a grin and looked over at Drake and Jace, both of whom were having some weird questions. When he saw Adriane, he paused, his smile faltering for a moment.
"Yeah, that's cool. I don't think anyone coming is going to be picky about how they get drunk." Ash laughed as she helped Adriane drop the cans into the ice. "So, any cute guys you're planning on getting this time?" She asked with a wink.

"Playing with food is fun. I'm 20 and I still do it," Jack said. He was a 20 year old pre law student that was supposed to be mature and responsible. "Um, hopefully not much longer. Hopefully the conversation will end soon and Jace will have a new friend or I'm gonna have to go bail him out," he said, watching the two over Drake's shoulder.
"Music is fun. But you should go out sometime, Jace. It's lots of fun and you can meet people and get a change of scenery," she said. "Like, try going out to get coffee sometime. Even if you go with Jack, it'll still give something to do," she said. She looked around. "Or literally anyone would do."
Mia laughed at the thought. "I'm sure you'll make a great girl for the night," she said. When Mason's smile faltered, she looked backwards and saw Adriane. She frowned as well. The night had been going so well, and now this happened. Part of her wanted to get Mason alone. She knew, though she had advantages over Adriane, the other girl was much better when it came to guys. "Uh, hey, Mason, do you want to go outside with me and grab something to drink?" She asked.

"Chase likes to play Superman to literally everyone he meets. Either that or covering them from head to toe in mashed potatoes. Seems you caught him during a Superman moment," Arlo said. He stuck his hands in his pockets, really wishing he could just be at home with his brother and little sister.
"Plus, Arlo and I share a car so we actually have one available instead of having to borrow from our parents." What Chase didn't mention is that their car was a cheap hand me down that seemed to break down every week or so.
That wasn't important right now.

{Yeah, I figured everybody would be busy lol. Hmm, Kat seems a bit too old to have made friends with Elita. She could be a friend of the friend, or I can wait until any other character is free ^^}
--
"Is it really Superman if I'm not actually in distress?" Keilana wondered. She didn't actually care about whether she was going to take the bus or not. It was just easier if she didn't. "If you're offering, I'll accept. So long as it's not too much of a bother, of course." It was mostly out of courtesy that she added on that last sentence. She was too selfish, as well as lazy, to turn down an offer. She smiled disarmingly at them, hoping it looked apologetic. She didn't know what an apologetic smile was even supposed to look like.
