"I plan on behind Superman for Halloween. I think that'll make me a hero even if nobody needs help," Chase said. He put his fists on his hips and puffed out his chest to create a heroic stance. This was only stopped when Arlo elbowed him in the ribs. Chase doubled over, holding his side.
"It didn't hurt that much. You're just acting like a dork and embarrassing me," Arlo said. He then turned to the girl, giving her a smile. If Chase already made the offer, he could at least pretend to go along with it. "Of course it wouldn't be a big deal. Just meet us nears the school. It's between our place and the party."

"Hm, alright. Fine with me!" She nodded energetically, a lot more chipper than she probably actually was. She was pretty sure Arlo didn't actually want her around, considering his reaction when she was offered the ride. Still, she didn't argue, content to get what she wanted. If he didn't want her to ride with them, he shouldn't have let his brother get away with it. "For the record, I think you'd be a wonderful Superman," she added to Chase, smiling still.

"I am the best Superman," Chase said, nodding in agreement.
"Superdork," Arlo corrected.
Chase ignored him.
"Anyway, I gotta get home and make an ice cream cake for the party. Meet you at school in about half an hour?" Chase asked. He didn't have time to wait for a response.
The town boys turned around, making their way towards their house. There, Chase would put all the time and effort he had into making the bets cookies and cream ice cream cake one could ask for.

"Well. Alright then." Keilana shrugged. It seemed like things were decided then. With a happy hum, she turned and continued on her way. The party was going to be fun, or at least, she had high hopes that it would be. She really needed some new friends. She couldn't stand being on her own for too long, so it would be nice to get close to others. She supposed that those two boys were her start.

((Alright! ^.^ I should be on a lot but I have class tonight and this morning, I plan on working outside in the rabbit pens. xP But that should take less than an hour. I'll have my phone on me, so I'll be able to chat but not rp. XD))
((And we can totally just say that the party has started so you all can hop in. XD))
Drake liked this Jack. "You're who I want to grow up to be," he said and then looked back over at them. "I hope so. I don't think I've ever seen Jace talk with a girl this long. Or anyone, for that matter." It was true. Jace's social skills were an abomination and kind of a surprise given Ash and just how social she was.
Jace looked around as well and saw a total of zero people, other than Jack, that he would ultimately want to go get coffee with. "I will listen to your advice, but no promise that I will follow it. Although I do love coffee." He admitted. He needed that good ol' morning bean juice to get himself a going in the morning. "I don't think I could actually get anyone to go with me, if I wanted. I'm considered boring." He said with finger guns, a move he had learned from Drake. He remembered the good ol' years of high school, where he had sit in the music room to avoid people.
Mason didn't hear Mia at first, but then he looked over at her and gave a weak smile. "Uh, yeah, that sounds good." He said and stood up, trying to avoid any eye contact with Ash or Adriane. Of course, the beverage that he really wanted was beer, but given that Adriane was standing right next to it, he'd have to settle for a nice soda. People had started to trickle in and he looked over, examining them. "I think I see a couple cute guys I can hook you up with." He said with a playful grin.

(Sounds good) (Jace's finger guns make me happy cause I use those all the time at work XD)
Jack laughed. "That's what I do. I like to inspire others," he said. He stuck his hands in his pockets, watching Jace and Sophia. "I'm proud of my work," Jack said. And he was. Sophia could be rough, but he was glad to see she was making it easy on Jace. She wasn't a bad person, she just didn't always think of others and what they wanted.
"You could always, like, start out going with Jack. He's annoying thiugh, so you probably wouldn't want to go out with him for too long," Sophia advised. Then she had an idea. "Are you smart? Or, like good at school?" She asked. "Cause then you could offer to help someone with homework or tutor then or whatever. Go somewhere casual like a coffee shop and conversation will just happen. That's how you make a friend." This is how her first boyfriend had met her. Maybe it'd work for Jace.
Mia stood up, relieved that Mason had been so agreeable. She's never felt anything for him in that way, but now that she was having a good conversation, she just didn't want the other girl to swoop in and take him away. She glanced st the guests before making her way towards the drinks. She ignored Adriane and looked at the other guests. "You think so?" she asked with a laugh. "I'm not good at this whole dating thing, so you're gonna have to do all the heavy lifting," she teased.

(Lost is here. do not worry.)
Adriane laughed. "I'm not planning on really talking to any boys, unless they come up first." She replied with a little smile. "I think I'll just spend a good portion of my time hanging out and hopefully not go home with another guy." Maybe Adriane was changing her way. "So, uh, do you think Mason will talk to me?" She watched him walk off to get something to drink with Mia.

((The pens are cleaned and the rabbits are happily burrowing in their fresh straw and rearranging. XD Yess. I do those, too. XD))
"You do a good job," Drake replied with a final compliment before he looked back at Jace and Sophia. "Good choice. Do you think she'll make him do something social?" The very idea was something that made Drake want to laugh. Jace? Doing something social? Ha. "Or even something that doesn't have to do with music." All that kid did was spend his time playing music and learning different songs.
Jace frowned. "I'm not terribly smart, I'm afraid. I'm not even a socially awkward nerd. I'm a socially awkward dumb person." And that was the worst that you could be, or so he thought. "But I guess I could ask someone to help me?" He suggested, not entirely sure if that was a good idea or if he was just being stupid.
Mason looked around at everyone else, trying to pick out a perfect guy. "I do think so. But I am not doing the heavy lifting. I will not pretend to be gay and hit on a guy for you." He warned her and then started laughing. "Goodness, Mia. I don't know what we're going to do with you." He said as pulled a nice Pepsi out and started sipping it. Nice and cold, but still not a beer. "Sophia didn't teach you how to get the guys?"
"I don't know," Ash replied with a shrug, and then frowned. "Have you guys stopped talking?" That came as a bit of a surprise to her. Mason and Adriane had been inseparable for years and to think that they weren't even talking now... Ash didn't think she'd ever seen them apart in all her years of going to Westbrook.

(But now almost all of my guy friends went to college and so here's really only three people I can finger gun and I rarely work with one XD)
"She's gonna try. I mean, we're at a party so she's in one of those social moods. It looks like it's going good," Jack said. It was tough to judge, especially with the sound of the party getting louder around him. "You know, Sophia is so good with the social thing, that I think she'd have the best chance at convincing him to go and out do something." Jack was social as well, but more in a hanging out with friends kind of way. Sophia was the one that really enjoyed going out and meeting new people and all that stuff.
"Yeah. That sounds good. Find somebody smart in one of your classes. Or, like, ask at the tutoring center. Maybe you could try to get out of the school like setting. Say that you can't concentrate as good in school. Then Bam! You're alone in a social, but casual place with someone. See, you're a little tougher than Mia, but she's not super into the social stuff either, so I'm basically giving you the same advice I gave her," Sophia explained. She was looking for someone to help with her school work, but talking to Jace was distracting her from Thinking of that.
"Come on, Mason," she said, giving him a puppy dog look. It was something she'd perfected when she was younger. Even as kids, Jack had had a soft spot for his sister and she had perfected the look when she wanted an extra piece of his Halloween candy or the TV remote. But she laughed anyway to show she wasn't serious about it. "She did, but I'm not really into Sophia's way of doing things. It's all about the whole flirting thing. I am not good at flirting, Mason."

((That's a shame. XD))
Drake shrugged. "I hope so. I don't think he's gone out since, like, his junior year of high school." The two of them had been friends for a while, and Drake somehow remembered all those years ago. Smiling, he looked away from them and back to Jack. "So, did you just come here to stalk Jace and make him socialize, or are you gonna party, too?" He asked in a cheerful voice, a little bit excited.
Jace laughed. "You're, uh. You're really good at this socializing thing. I don't think I've ever gotten this much advice... and especially from someone I just met." He said, starting to relax a little bit in Sophia's presence. "Do you, uh, do you want to get something to drink or... dance... or something...?" He didn't want to ruin her entire night because Jack wanted to help him out with something silly like this.
Mason shook his head, not at all waved by her expression. "I would teach you how to flirt, but I don't entirely understand what girls do to get a guy's attention." Sure, he'd flirted with girls and had girls flirt with him, but he still didn't understand how they did it. How they did those things that would make a guy fall for them... it was a mystery to him.

(I'm heading to my first club meeting at school. Wish me luck)
Jack turned back to Drake when he had actually asked about him instead of Talking about Jace. "Oh, I'm here to party," Jack said. He grinned. "I mean the party hadn't even started before, so why not help Jace out? Looks like he's off to a pretty good start," Jack said. He shrugged. "I haven't been to many reall parties since my high school days. I'm just worried about looking like some uncool dad," Jack said.
Sophia nodded. "Actually, I could use something to drink," she said. She'd kept an eye on the guests while talking. To Jace and hadn't found a guy she'd be interested in flirting with. So she hadn't yet been inconvenienced by being used as a crash test dummy of some kind for Jace.
"If you can't teach me how to flirt and you refuse to flirt for me, how exactly do you plan on helping me with this?" Mia asked, putting her hands on her hips. She relaxed her pose a few seconds later, realizing how thirsty she was. She pulled out a Dr Pepper from the cooler and popped it open with a satisfying fizz. She took a swig and placed it down on the table while she talked to Mason.

((Good luck! XD))
"Well I will say that whispering and watching to see how Jace does at socializing already makes you look like an uncool dad." Drake broke the news to him with a solemn pat on his Jack's back. "But don't worry -- there's still plenty of time for you to turn this around! What do you want to do? Do you flirt? I can point out who's legal or almost legal!" Drake suggested with a happy grin.
Perfect. Jace was nailing this socialization thing, even if Jack had set this up for him. "Great! Umm... what... what do you want?" He asked, suddenly slipping back into that awkward stage. Was he supposed to get a beverage and bring it to her? Make her go over there? What was he supposed to do with this new friend nonsense?
"Simple." Mason replied and gestured to the gangs of people. "I will send you towards someone and then I will follow behind you, cleverly disguised as a bush. I will then whisper things to say into your ear and encouraging words." He explained as if it should be obvious. With a triumph smile, he took a triumphant sip of his Pepsi. So far, he was liking how this night was going. Why hadn't he talked to Mia a lot in school?

"I do flirt, but I don't need to. My dad jokes are usually good enough to get the girls," Jack said with a laugh. At least, he was pretty sure that's why his last girlfriend started dating him. "Second of all, my girlfriend just dumped me and I'm not sure I'm ready... Although, Sophia would probably say that means it's more important that I find a girl. Third, aren't you like 12? How do you know how old everyone is?" Jack asked. Wow, maybe he was old if he saw Drake as a 12 year old. "Plus, it's not dad like to spy on Jace if I just say I'm keeping an eye on Sophia," he said.
"Honestly, I think I'm good with a water," Sophia said. She wasn't sure if she was ready for a repeat of the last party she'd been to. "Are you gonna get anything?" she asked, already turned in the direction of the drinks. She was still keeping an eye out for guys, though this conversation. With Jace wasn't as awkward as she'd expected.
"Okay, that's a good idea except I'd probably have to lure guys into the dark backyard for that to work and I think that's frowned upon. I may or may not get he cops called on me. Maybe we could stay inside and you could dress like a bookshelf or something? That'd look more inconspicuous in a house," she said with a laugh. She'd expected this conversation to be a little more awkward. After all, she hadn't talked to Mason once since he dropped out. Plus, she didn't think she'd ever talked to someone that had dropped out. Her family wouldn't approve.

((Oh my gosh, Jack. Dad jokes are not the way into a lady's heart. Reminds me of my friend's brother in law. He was like "I'm going to get a girl by getting her McChickens. Girls like those, right?" And everyone is just like "OH MY GOSH, NO."))
Drake sighed. "Jack, Jack, Jack... we need to have a serious talk, buddy. I'm worried about you." He may not have known much about ladies, but he knew enough that he was about 99% sure he could help Jack out. "First off, dad jokes are not the way to a lady's heart. Second off, it's okay to briefly mourn breaking up with your girlfriend, but there is nothing better than a rebound." He had learned that part from Mason. "And finally, if you're watching Sophia, you're still being a dad and that is not cool. And I am fifteen, thank you very much, and I will be sixteen soon."
Jace shrugged. "I mean, I guess. If people are going to party in my house and keep me up until two am, you better believe I'm going to drink their drinks." He said and followed after her, trying to avoid getting danced on or knocked over by the teenagers that seemed to be everywhere. "Oh my goodness, they multiply like rabbits. How does Ash even know this many people?" He grumbled as he followed after Sophia.
"Unless I am a portable bush. A house plant, even." Mason argued. "A bookshelf would make me look fat. At least being a house plant I would get to keep this lovely figure." He said and gestured to his figure which was obviously so lovely with a laugh. He looked back out at the crowds. "Oooh, there are some hot girls here tonight. I think I recognize a couple of them from high school." Mason said. He made eye contact with one and gave a smile before looking away. That would catch her attention for the night. Ha.
