{Ahh I think you better get on that then! And the sooner you finish, the sooner you can RP. I'm free for the next few hours, so I'll most likely be here by the time you're finished ^.^}

(Yeah I've had something going on that's put me way behind in my work so I'm just struggling to get things done and I'm sure my professor would be cool if I emailed him but I don't really wanna make a big deal of it)

{If it's been tough for you lately and you think your professor would be okay with you needing a little more time, I don't think it would seem like that big of a deal. If you think you can handle it, then you're free to continue doing what you're doing, but if you'd like a little room to breathe, I say email your professor. That's my opinion, anyway...}

(I didn't read or anything so I was surprised.
Honestly the twins could be anywhere, but also like they're gonna go to the party they're just not there early to set up. Mia, Jack, and Sophia are already there)

{I can relate to and also admire that.
I just made Tobias and Silvia come by to set up too. Keilana could possibly have met one or both of the twins and that's how she knew about the party, so we could do something with that? Or someone could want to get flowers for whatever reason and go to the shop where they meet Elita? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ }

{Hmm let's see...}
Keilana wasn't the greatest at social interaction, but she liked having fun and she liked meeting people. Learning about the party that would be happening that night seemed like the perfect opportunity. Hopefully it wouldn't get too bad, because she had this thing about too much noise and energy for an extended period of time, but it seemed like fun. Being new to the city, she knew that she still had to do some exploring in order to familiarize herself with everything. She used the party as an excuse to do some shopping and exploring, so she left the house and headed towards the nearest bus stop. She had looked up where to go and what route to take, so she was fairly confident in what she was doing.

Chase and Arlo were walking down the the street. Side by side as always, the twins were in a heated debate. This time they were arguing over how they liked their eggs cooked. Arlo liked his fried. Chase liked his scrambled.
"Bro, I'm telling you. If you actually eat my scrambled eggs for once, you'll realize you're just being an idiot," Chase said.
Arlo shook his head. "You're wrong. Fried eggs have a lot more merit. Plus, you can have them on breakfast sandwiches. Scrambled eggs are just yellow piles of gooey sadness."
"You're a yellow pile of gooey sadness," Chase said. He stuck his hands in his pockets, kicking a pebble as hey walked down the sidewalk.
"And you're a literal child," Arlo said. When he spotted a girl he'd never seen, he grabbed Chase's shoulder and forced his brother to stop walking,
"Wha-?" Chase grunted, but Arlo nodded towards the girl. Chase understood right away.
"Hey, can we ask you a question?" Arlo asked.
Chase didn't hesitate and blurted out the question right as Arlo finished asking. "Are fried eggs or scrambled eggs better?"

Keilana blinked at them in surprise, caught off-guard by being addressed and by the question. Then, she burst into giggles at the ridiculousness of it. It was definitely a stupid thing to be asked about, but it was funny and not really something that someone would usually ask a stranger. She had always wanted a strange encounter with a stranger like the ones she read on the internet. Or two, in this case. "Personally, I liked fried eggs better," she answered once the giggles died down, an amused smile on her face. "Scrambled is good too, but I can't stomach them if I eat them on their own."

"Hah!" Arlo said, while Chase made a face. "Who's the yellow pile of gooey sadness now?" He had dropped the slight irritated and antisocial personality he used at school. This was the real Arlo. "Anyway, I'm Arlo. This is my brother, Chase. You new around here?" Arlo asked.
"I'll make you scrambled eggs sometime. It'll change your mind on what you think about them. I promise," Chase said. "Also, Arlo, I'm a big boy. I can tell her my own name."
"But you didn't. I did," Arlo pointed out. Now it was Chase's turn to sigh and shake his headband at his brother.
"Anyway, you going to the party at Ash's house tonight?" Chase asked. He was pumped for the party, though he had a few errands to run before his parents would let him drag Arlo along.

((These are going to be bad and short because I am tired of writing out good replies that get deleted. >.>))
"Oh, yeah, I'll let Ash know since she usually deals with the alcohol." Jace replied and by usually, he meant every time. He wasn't much of a drinker. "I did not want to throw this party, nor did I know it was happening until Ash told me to put on pants and invite people, and that is why you are here." Because Jack just so happened to be his only friend.
"Sounds good. Alright, team, go!" Ash said when she heard someone knock on the door. She walked over and opened it up to find Silvia and Tobias waiting. "Hi! Hello! Welcome, come on in. I don't really know how much else needs to be done, but feel free to, uh, help if need be or just chill." She smiled and stepped aside, out of the doorway so that they could walk in.
Mason saluted Ash and started over to the stereo system, which was set up so that you could hear it not only in the room it was in, but in many of the rooms that were situated on the first floor, thanks to Jace. "So, Mia, tell me. What music do you think we should play? What music do you think would really get the blood flowing and put these angsty teenagers in the mood to party?"
Drake laughed. "It's cool. I like Sophia." He said with a smile, per usual, because when didn't Drake smile? He walked into Ash's kitchen and pulled some bowls out of a cupboard and headed back over to Sophia, holding the bowls out. "Would you do me the honor of putting chips in my bowls?" He asked.

(It's cool. My internet's being real slow so)
"Plus I turn 21 in," Jack paused to look at the date on his phone. "A week. Then this will all actually be legal," he said with a laugh. "Yeah, I figured this wasn't your great idea, but why not enjoy it while we can? Think about it, we can just like hang out and make you a couple new friends." Jack often felt bad for Jace and his sad lack of friends.
Mia nodded at Drake, Ash, and Sophia, and followed Mason over to where they'd set up and figure this thing out.
"Well," Mia began. "I like country music. I think that would beso me thing to party to. All my family parties have it. However, I don't think that will get these crazy kids in the mood to party," she said with a laugh. She leaned against a wall. "What were you thinking? We could always pull up a playlist of the top, like, 50 songs right now, but I'm not a huge fan of the pop stuff that dominates he list," she said. Well, that was enough about that.
"We should definitely catch up once the party's ready to go," Mia suggested. She pulled out her phone, checking the time.
"I like this one," Sophia said again. She followed Drake into the kitchen and grabbed a few bags of chips. She ripped one open and dumped it into a large bowl.
After emptying another bag of chips (and munching on one or two), Sophia looked outside. "I'm going to grab a bottle of water. Do you want anything?" she asked the younger boy.

Jace shrugged. "I don't know, I kind of like not leaving my room." He had tried the whole socialization thing back in high school, and had failed miserably. He had even gotten himself a nice girlfriend, someone he thought was the love of his life and he had fought hard for (he sang her a song on the beach to ask her to a dance, for freaking goodness), but that had failed, and everything else had fallen apart after that. "It gives me time to practice my singing and instrument playing."
Mason laughed. "Country? Yeah, I'm going to have to say no. I would suggest rock, but Jace will come over and give me a lecture on how that is 'too angry,' which means we might just be stuck with some pop. Or indie rock." Indie rock was Jace's favorite, and Mason liked it as well. It was smooth, but also loud at the same time. He started flipping through the large racks of CDs that they had. "Playlist might be the best bet." When she suggested catching up when the party started, Mason looked at her with a grin. "Yeah, of course, that sounds wonderful. I could use some friend time." He had always liked Mia.
Drake shook his head as he set down the bags of chips. "Nah, I'm good for now." He smiled at her and then looked back at the chip bowls. Well, that looked well enough.

"You sure? I could act as, like, a buddy wingman," Jack said. The idea sounded funny, but he'd always been very outgoing and had an easy time making friends. Jace had good qualities, so he didn't see it being much of a challenge making friends for the other guy. "I do suggest that you at least spend some time at the party. Even if it's just to make sure nobody destroys your house."
Mia opened up an app and started searching for a playlist. "What about this? It's got a bunch of different genres and it's still popular music, so people will know the majority of the songs," she said. She recognized the songs even though she rarely listened to anything out of her comfort zone. "I mean, we've barely been able to talk since you dropped out," she said. She kind of ended awkwardly, still not quite knowing the reason he had left school. "But, yeah, I think this playlist will work. If we have a few minutes before the party I might make my way to the bathroom and try to wash this makeup off," she said. She normally didn't wear much makeup and just felt awkward and fake when Sophia made her do more than she would normally do.
Sophia grabbed a bottle of water and returned to the kitchen. She sat on the counter and glanced at Mia and Mason. "At least we got the easy job. Apparently they're still working," she said. She sighed and looked over at Drake. "What's up with you, kid?"
