"Yep. See ya then." She waved and headed for the door, smiling still. She knew that the team of Jace, John, and her were going to ROCK this dance.

((... I don't know why I'm having so much difficulty deciding on Jace's costume. >.>))

((Hehe... a glitter in Chase's eye as he thought about the glitter. XD))

Victoria was about to reply when Chase excused himself to go check on Ash. "Uh, yeah, no problem. I guess I'll see you at the dance?" She asked, but Chase was basically already gone. She shrugged and, with ice cream still in hand, walked down to the beach to talk with Vincent.

"No, it's... fine. My dad is mad that I skipped out on school, so I told him I was helping Drake and Jace out with the dance." Ash explained. Well, she wasn't lying at least. Not for the most part, anyway. She did need to go help Jace out and find out what Drake's "The Jace has come out! How good are you at makeup?" text meant. Surely Jace hadn't come out as gay and told Drake before her, although she wouldn't be surprised.

"I can walk. Home isn't too far away, and if my dad is there, seeing you is not going to make anything better." She replied, although her dad was most likely not at home. "Umm, I'll see you at the dance tomorrow, alright?" Ash asked with a faint smile.

Another text came in on Ash's phone, from Drake, that simply read; What about Deadpool? Or Wonder Woman? What was he doing to her brother?

"And I'm flying solo to the dance. I don't think I really want to date right now."

((I thought about Batman, but too many people use Batman. XD
Plus I think the ears and fake abs would make him look funny.

Is everyone ready to start the dance?! =3 I'm just going to casually duplicate Drake so that he can be starting up the dance. XD And helping get the music stuff ready.))

Drake and Mason had shown up early to the dance. Drake had invited Mason as his "date" and signed the paperwork and what not to get him into the school dance... mainly so he could help Drake out with some last minute preparations, but also so that he could show Mason just how cool school was and why he should come back.

Drake was chattering away nonstop to Mason about who the heck knows what while the two brothers set out food and drinks. They had a punch bowl that was not spiked as of yet, plenty of pops to choose from, and water bottles. There were also chips, which they were dumping into bowls. Drake had also convinced someone to bake some delicious Halloween cupcakes that had pumpkins and other Halloween-y things on them and then, of course, there was plenty of pizza.

"You have such a stupid costume." Drake complained.

"What's wrong with it?!" Mason replied. "Yours isn't great, either."

"Mason, you're wrong." Drake paused from dumping chips in bowls to look at his brother. "I am adorable." He had little black cat ears and then Ash had nicely painted a black nose and whiskers onto Drake's face. He was, indeed, adorable. Drake was then wearing all black -- black Converse sneakers, black pants, and a black sweater, and then he had also borrowed a little dog collar with a little bell from Jace's old dog from years ago.

"You look ridiculous. You're wearing a collar."

"Because I'm a house cat! House cats wear collars!"

"You don't even have a tail!"

"Tails are expensive! And I still look better than you!"

Mason had just worn his typical outfit, although his shirt did have a Jack-O-Lantern on it, and then had pulled a simple cloak over the top of it with a nifty hood that he could pull up to cover his face. "I look fantastic."

Drake just rolled his eyes and went back to pouring bags of chips into bowls.

Meanwhile, Ash was helping Jace get ready for the dance. Drake had, thankfully, picked him up a simple Zorro costume, which Jace was now trying to squeeze into.

"You look great!" Ash said cheerfully as she helped him zip it up, and then tie the cape around his neck.

"I feel ridiculous."

"Halloween costumes are ridiculous." Ash had planned on going as an angel, but then decided that the wings would have been annoying. Instead, she had picked out some Greek costume. It had the simple white dress with the golden band around the stomach. She also had a golden headband which she wore around the top of her head, and then she had done herself up in some fancy makeup.

"Yeah, I guess so." Jace sighed as Ash plucked the yellow beanie from the top of his head and he pulled the mask down over his face.

"You know you can't take the hat out with you, right? That'll give you away." Ash told him as she tied the mask behind his head.

"I have to. That hat is my lucky charm, Ash. I've never been without it." He whined.

"I know, but you're gonna have to survive. I'll just leave it in here, okay?"

"What if someone steals it?"

"No one is going to--"

"But what if someone does?"

"Fine, fine! I'll keep it with me, alright?" Ash asked, although she had nowhere to put it. "Or I'll have Mason put it in his pocket, okay? It'll be fine."

Jace hesitantly nodded his head in agreement as he strapped the fake sword around his waist.

Sorry but I'm just super excited for both of them..... and plus I'm gonna be busy tonight and the weekend and then next week too cause of school and work and homework XD)

Arlo and Chase arrived at the dance right on time. Both boys had thrown sheets over their head with eye holes. Chase, of course, had cut a mouth hole into his so he could eat and drink.

Arlo didn't.

"I'm gonna go find Ash," Chase said. He made his way away from his brother and on search of the girl. They'd already stored their glitter up on the ceiling and Chase had talked to Drake about him working lights and going up there to mess with some stuff after the live music.

When he couldn't find Ash, he sent her a text and hung out at the tables, popping a chip into his mouth. He saw Arlo a few feet away, flirting with a girl, and gave him a thumbs up.

Arlo made a face, said something to the girl, and walked away. Arlo glared at Chase.

"What?" Chase asked.

"She thought I was you," Arlo muttered. He turned away from his brother and went to grab something to drink.

Sophia and Mia arrived at the together. Sophia was dressed up as a zombie pop star diva, with extreme care out into her make up and costume. Mia was a zombie doctor.

"You looking for Mason?" Sophia asked, nudging her cousin.

Mia shrugged, unsure if she should give up the fact that her and Mason weren't dating and the date had just been to get Jace and Sophia together.

"I don't know. He's probably not here. He dropped out, remember? You looking for anyone special?" Mia asked.

Sophia blushed a bit under her makeup. "Jace. We had a good time ditching Ash's party, so I'm going to see if he wants to duh the dance," she said.

Mia grinned. "Great, well if I see Jace, I'll tell him you're looking for him."

The two went their separate ways. Sophia found herself near the stage, sipping on a soda after she turned down a guy that had waned to dance with her.

Mia was sitting down at a table on her phone. She wasn't much of a dance kind of person, but had been brought by Sophia again.

Sophia waved at Drake when he greeted her. Maybe she'd ask if he'd seen Jace. The two were close, weren't they?

For now, however, she just stayed where she was and leaned up against a table, watching the music and waiting for t to start.

Chase spotted Ash in the distance and wandered over towards her after she and Mason separated.

"Hey, betcha can't guess who this spooky ghost is," he said, waving his arms around like a ghost and making a 'booooooo' noise.

"I'll give you a hint. I came with another guy that looks a lot like me and also I have a ton of glitter hidden in the ceiling," he said, only his eyes and mouth visible in his costume.

Mia glanced up when she saw Mason. "Hey, Mason. Kinda surprised you're here," she commented. She patted the seat next to her, inviting him to sit down next to her.

(This is terribly short but I typed the whole thing in the subway line XD)

"Not the first time tonight someone's gotten us confused," Chase said. He nodded to where Arlo was sulking in the corner. "A girl talked to him thinking he was me. Poor kiddo."

"Is Jace on stage?" He asked, knowing her brother was into music. "Cause if so, I am totally up for dropping a butt load of glitter on him," he teased, nudging her. "Lets head up there and just hang out till they're done."

Mia nodded, listening to him. She'd thought that, but Mason told her t wouldn't be that easy to get him back to school. Maybe Drake had more hope for his brother than Mia did.

"Sophia dragged me along. She did say she's going to ask Jace to ditch when she finds him," she said, betraying her cousin's plan. Hey, if anyone was supportive of that, it'd be Mason, right?

She sighed, spinning her phone around in her hands. "She even put together this costume for me. Sophia's really into the costume and make up stuff."

Baily stood to the side, leaning against the wall and in all just being the little wall flower that she was. She wasn't one for dressing up, so she was just wearing a red turtleneck and jeans. Her brother insisted on her putting something on that was halloweeny, so he had plopped a pair of cat ears on her and shoved her out the door. She didn't know why she had come. Her brother was going somewhere with his friends and she didn't know anyone else. Well, she knew them, but not as friends. She took a sip of the punch in her hand and watched the band prepare to play. It would be fun to be up there, but she only knew how to play the cello, and because this was a dance for teens she suspected they wouldn't be playing very much classical, which was really all she played. Of course there were a few songs that weren't classical that she knew, but those were only cause they were her favorites.
Baily sighed and stared down at her punch. Maybe she would go for a walk, not like she would actually do anything here except watch the others dance. And most likely it wouldn't be dancing but teens grinding against each other. So scratch that, she wasn't actually going to do anything other than stand here and be an introvert.
