Derrick's face lit up, as he shyly looked out towards his left. "Why would anyone look up to this old bear?" He paused for a second trying to find words to add to his statement, a metaphor, simile, odd add on? But nothing came to mind. "And of all times my mind runs blank.." He softly spoke while blinking multiple times. He couldn't help but keep his gaze distant at the mention of lifespans. He bit his lower lip at the thought. "D-Do you think, they will be okay with that?" He softly asked. "Overall , to wake up one morning and be told they will never change from that point on. To suddenly realize that all their relations with everyone whom they established will no longer be the same. To talk to fewer people....Or perhaps cut all ties..." his voice trailed off. The idea of freezing through time was not a present one. Though at first he found the idea haunting, having Celesta by his side made it all the more worth it. Yet in this day , you weren't considered an adult until you were 18; then hit the settling stage until early twenties. That would mean less years to enjoy life, study or even consider marrying just about anyone. featherleg

mintedstar/fur ((I haven't seen the anime yet officially. Just the first episode, abridged series, clips, and vines. O.o )) ((I met a lot of cosplayers at Anime Los Angeles who were telling me about Yuri On Ice. It's a bromance. I find the relationship to be a healthy one surprisingly. Better then Super Lovers. >.< )) ((Don't worry about long or shorts! xD 4 sentences I can bare. I have moments like that too, especially during upcoming finals.)) "Online courses, or the transfer?" Rowlin raised a brow, setting the tablet to the side. "The online courses are encouraged as of late for students who cannot make it to a physical class on a day to day basis. Some high schools are incorperating it too as a means of home school, or for students who need to make up classes they failed the first time. Alongside online classes their is blended learning where your course is mainly done online with a few lectures consisting on campus." He explained most calmly. Rowlin leaned back with a calm gaze, "Outsiders not welcome huh?" He considered. "Then I'll stick out like a sore thumb for a few weeks, wont I?" He couldn't help but laugh. "It's different in EU, then it is out here, a unique difference especially in mobility. A car salesmen back home would do better as a mechanic seeing as we rely more on public transit rather then personal transit. Sure people own cars, but 10 dollars the gallon, pft-no thanks. I'd rather take the train." (I've seen a lot of art for it, so I have been interested by it. :3 I'll probably check it out once I have a free couple of seconds.) (Life has been crazy. I've been lucky to come on at all these last few days.) "The concept of online courses are a little hard to grasp since I spent many years 'on the job' as they say. Most of that was in small towns that would be lucky to see an electric light, much less a computer." Tom had never gotten the hang of technology. He was more skilled in jobs where he could see what he was selling, buying, or building. "I honestly don't know what this place is like," said Tom, shrugging. "I've been away to long and since I was last here things, so many things, have changed. I can tell where trees and houses used to be, where friends I knew used to live. So for me, this town seems a lot more...unfriendly. And," the vampire added. "I would love to find a job other then the one I'm in now."

"I think many people look up to you, darling, myself included." She said more so in a whisper before looking at him. A sigh escaped her lips as she shrugged. "I don't know if they'll ever be okay with it. It took us years to accept what happened to us, I can only imagine how long it will take for them. You remember how upset Daimian was when he found out..." There was a moment of silence as she wiped a dew tears from her cheeks,"...when he found out what we are? I can only wish it won't be worse than that for each of them." Taking a deep breath in, she dried her cheeks again. "I'm sorry I brought this up. I shouldn't have." Auransky

mintedstar/fur ((I haven't seen it, except for quick clips, parodies, cosplay, and interviews. So I wouldn't be able to provide any basis if you had any questions. But it looks like a promising anime. The animation alone is something that is very lovely. I've only seen the first episode but the entire time it gave me a Free! feel. Except on ice- Q.Q )) "I can understand that." Rowlin calmly nodded. "Online classes though fairly recent, have hit poplarity in ways we would have imagined. Now people whom work all day or have reasons for staying away from the physical class, can now dedicate their time to studying to their free time. Granted their are due dates, but it gives the individual liberties to turn in assignments when they please." He paused for a moment a thought crossing, "Now technology isn't for everyone, and I'm not saying that in context of can't. Some people as you just admitted are more on the handy side. I personally wouldn't be too well off on the handy side-not without a tutorial and a hotline for a step by step in case anything, and boy do I mean something will perhaps go wrong." He lightly slapped the side of the table. "But, what makes online classes the most difficult is the will to even commit to it. Surprisingly we found out that it isn't the difficulty of doing the assignments online, or using online resources; it is all about staying focused, on task, and meeting deadlines that make it the hardest. To not see the instructor face to face, hear the lecture live where questions can be answered to the most specific of requests-it can be very unmotivating. Hence dropping people within the first 72 hours of them not logging in, then dropping and failing students for missing assignments is a common occurrence. But in recent days, sticking to I dunno-" He tapped his fingers lightly, "Sticking to a routine is most difficult for a lot of us. Having a phone, or Siri to tell us what to do and where to go, it's become a conformity. To sit behind a computer for hours a week to do one course, versus playing an online game, or reply to a role-play for the matter, it truly becomes difficult to focus. The battle of wits, a true commitment like anything else." "Hmm.." He tilted his head, his gaze now filling with thoughts, and questions. "Time sure changes things, doesn't it?" His tone softened with all tones excitement fleeing. "At one point, everything appeared to be endless. The mystery of what was two feet ahead of you, held life or death. When the world was flat, others screamed that there was more beyond the depths of the sea. The people soon to be Americans came, and explored, built and destoyed." He paused to stretch his neck slightly back. "All that took many years to transform the landscape, and now...within 40 years maybe even less; the iron horse speeds on. Transforming even what once was, but now is." His gaze soon returned to Tom, "Now I'm not saying that to be an utter truth, but History sure does tell everything we observe." He soon uplifted himself, "Perhaps things change, but one thing that never will change is the desire for handy men. In order to keep a civilization functions; we need people who really know what they are doing. Computer break down, fish tank, lighting, air conditioning, cars, and just about anything that is used will need to be fixed someday. people would rather fix it then purchase a new one in most cases. But if all else fails, consider being a radio spokes person for comercials. It's a decent way to convince a trapped traffic goer about the importance in purchasing." he lightly teased. featherleg"P-People look up to me?" Derrick repeated right after Celesta stated it, in the most questionable of tones. He always considered himself the last person to look up to, but then again most people alaways consider themselves the last person to look up to. It was when she admitted that she herself looked up to him that his face went pale a tad bit. "I-I always see you as an inspiring individual." he admitted back. His gaze returning back to her, despite the topic at hand. He kept a firm expression, one of not too many emotions, to keep himself or her from breaking down. We have been through this, are we still going to break down? N-No... we shouldn't we accepted this fate no matter how it came to.Derrick reached a hand out for Celesta's cheek, lightly rubbing his finger against her face to clear up a few tears. "Hey now, don't think like that. If anything, I should be apologizing for bringing up the other end of the spectrum. At the end of the day, life is life. We must appreciate it to our best extent, and if they end up distancing themselves, then we will be respecting those choices, but until then we will hold them close, and just pull them into the moments of good warm hearted goodness." He encouraged. "So no, please don't feel bad for bringing any of this up. A sensitive topic, yes, but not one I would ignore for the world." He glanced at the clock in the car system. "Oh almost time." He softly stated.

Auransky"Of course people look up to you darling. You're kind, hardworking, passionate, you see the good in people that others cannot. Who wouldn't look up to someone like that?" Those, and many other attributes, were why she loved him so dearly. Celestia closed her eyes as she nodded and leaned slightly into his embrace. "Life is life.." She muttered back as she opened her eyes, her gaze lowered. "You're right, we'll just keep them close until that day." Her eyes wandered over towards the cars clock as she nodded. "I should probably hide in the back then. Thank you, darling, for listening."

featherleg Derrick couldn't help but blink at the thought. "W-Well...if you say so." He softly replied, she was softening him up: what greater defeat was it to get caught off guard by the one person he loved. He nodded now assuring her thoughts, "Until that day it is, but for now we worry about now. Otherwise it'll flash right before we realize it." His gaze relaxed once more from the surprise intervention. "I'll always be here to listen to your troubles, as you are here to hear me whine." He quickly flashed the goofiest smirk without thinking, before returning his gaze to its natual calm. Next he shifted himself in his seat to get back into the driving mojo, "Alrighty then." He began "When you are ready, we shall begin this mission impossible." He stated om a serous tone, while glimsing out towards the gate. The early runners caught his attention, "Alright the first few let out early are comming, so the rest should soon follow along." mintedstar/fur(Reply? ))

(I'm laughing so much at what Rowlin was saying in the first paragraph. XD)
Tom nodded along to what Rowlin was saying, but half the stuff went over his head. In the last decade alone new technology had come out and he was lucky to know the names of these things that the VDA officer was talking about. He really hope that he wasn't going to have to identify what a Siri was. Or a role-play.
Finally, Rowlin got into safer ground. Repairs and history Tom could talk about. "True," he said lightly. "I could use the excitement of trying to convince faceless people to buy worthless junk." He backed his chair up a little and was glad that the noise of the metal legs against the stone wasn't loud. "You have been an interesting conversation partner thus far. Might I ask a more personal question?"

mintedstar/fur (You know it's true! >D ) Rowlin gazed away in embarrassment, "I sometimes tend to purchase the first thing that comes to mind in emergencies. I ask for the specs, exactly what I'm looking for, then walk out to use it on the go." He admitted shyly before returning his attention back to Tom. The compliment was one that either stroked his none-existent ego, or brought enjoyment to the experience: probably both. He nodded in agreement, "Likewise." Now hearing the more personal question he couldn't help but lean slightly forward: not too much but just a tad. He didn't have much too loose on the personal questions, it would be something asked then forgotten and probably dead within a couple of years. "Aye, go ahead." he invited.

(That's why I'm laughing. ) Tom blinked a few times in confusion at the next thing Rowlin said. He just tried to look like he mildly got what was being said and then he placed his hand on the table. He stood and cocked his head a little. He had been thinking and had only now linked a few key points together. "I don't think it's a very big thing. You can lie if you like. But... this had started to sound far to familiar. Like might just call to like, but this is just ridiculous." He leaned forward and met Rowlin's eyes. Squarely in the eyes, as if searching for something. But then he shrugged. "Never mind, not my place and none of my business." He backed up, stepped to the side and pushed his chair back into place. "Nice meeting you." Then he turned to walk away.

AuranskyCelestia glanced out towards the cars window as she nodded. "Right. Here goes nothing." She climbed back into the cars backseat before casting a lower invisibility spell on herself. She wasn't really sure why she was so excited to leave school since--unlike her brothers--she enjoyed learning and studying. However, her legs took her a bit farther and faster than usual as she went across the field in front of the school and towards her parents car with a grin spread across her face. Her hand shot up into the air as she waved towards her father.

mintedstar/fur Rowlin's green gaze had uplifted in curiosity, seeing the stranger retract his statement, and objective he slightly frowned in disappointment. Seeing the individual get up to walk away he quickly got up and took a few steps after Tom, he spoke out not loudly, but not softly either:it was a mellow tone that which was enough to hear without disturbing others. "Lying is only what makes us human, and while this sounds like a dream for two strangers such as ourselves to be speaking in such a manor: I truly have nothing to loose on the personal end. Keep in mind that our definitions of personal differ, where one person considers that sensitive information, another sees that as an everyday topic. Should a topic be too sensitive, I will gladly simply tell you the truth and that truth is I just can't. If I see it as something at the top of the ice, then I'll gladly answer to my fullest extent." He assured, really curious as to the question at hand. If it was something too personal he would back away, but if it was something on the simple end he would answer to the edge of conformity. I-I could read his thoughts too-right? But that would be cheating.... tch.... I wanna know..featherlegDerrick kept his eyes on Celestia, all the way until she cast her invisibility spell. This alone was going to be a great scene. He soon turned his attention over towards the children running, he unlocked the doors knowing Viola would want to get into the car herself without any assistance. It was going to be a blast for sure. His eyes scanned the haul of children, yet surely he spotted the little bundle of joy rushing up ahead. He waved back seeing her wave, then awaited eagerly while keeping his gaze locked towards Viola approaching, in hopes of not giving away any signs of the master plan.

Auransky"Hi Dad!!" She said brightly as she pulled the car door open, her brown eyes shining just as bright as her smile. "You beat the traffic again!" How her dad was always able to get ahead of the other cars always amazed her, she thought, as she pulled herself up onto the passengers seats. As she did, she felt her upper body be embraced from behind as a familiar voice echo towards her. "We both did, sweetheart." Startled, Viola turned around and saw her mother, breathtaking and wonderful in every way in her standards. "M-Mama!! What are you doing here?!" She asked giddily as her mother smoothed out her dark hair in a fond manner. "Work was shortened for the day, so I came to see my favorite daughter."

Derrick replied in rapid enthusiasm. He extended a hand out to ruffle with Viola's hair. "How are you on this fine day-" He paused blinking and acting surprised alongside Viola as Celestia popped out. He leaned over to Viola, close enough to kiss her on the side of the head then whisper into her ear. "Did she scare you? She scared me." He admitted softly. On the side he slowly pulled out of place, making his way slowly away from the school grounds.

Auransky(Ahhh traffic is the worse!!) Viola giggled as she fastened her seat belt and shook her head. "Mama could never scare me!" She said in a confident tone as they drove away from her school. "Today was good, I finished my homework during class so I don't have anything to work on tonight." "That's great sweetheart. Urian will be coming by tonight so you can play with him for awhile if you'd like." "R-Really?!" She seemed surprised but thrilled by the news. "I thought he and Leila were super busy with college??" Celestia nodded. "They are, which is why he's coming over. He needs help studying for his classes, so I'm going to aide him with that."

Auransky Tom paused and turned his upper body to more directly talk to Rowlin without actually showing that he was going to stay. He raised his index finger in thought. "I would usually ask, if I thought I could get away with it. But with you, I'm not to sure." He was silently chuckling at something Rowlin had said. "I must admit though, you interests me. I haven't felt this daring in a long time. And I thought I was having one of those days when I was being mildly suicidal. After all," he pointed across the street at the VDA building. "It's been a long time since I had dealings with them." Tom wanted to ask, badly, how Rowlin had gotten a job there. But other questions were also on his mind.

featherlegDerrick chuckled, "Mama could never scare you?" He raised a brow. "Well then, you are quite a brave soldier." He tickled her on the side lightly before returning his full attention to the road ahead. He couldn't help but scroll his eyes to the side every now and then to the conversation between Celesta and Viola. "Well it's going to be quite the lively night." He softly stated. "A=Ah... honey should we head home now, or go on ahead to pick the others up?" He asked slightly tilting his head at the question. mintedstar/furRowlin blinked now, a little bit of confusion filling his expression. "Get away with something?" He softly repeated, raising a brow at the thought. A scam? robbing me? He doesn't look like the type-His attention somewhat followed Tom's index finger. When the man before him pointed across the street he naturallyturned his head to see the VDA. He kept silent as he kept his head turned away. What about it.... what does he know? What does he want? I-I should probably ask Yan later about people outside the VDA..His attention returned to Tom it was a normalized expression, as the curiosity had dropped a little it was more confusion if not much else. "O-Oh... so you have a record of sorts?" He softly asked, then backed up a little towards the table he was seated at to retreat his messenger bag. Once the bag was securely strapped his attention returned to Tom. "Listen-" His tone shifted to a more direct approach, "There's something more you want to ask about, isn't there? Your actions, tone, and notions: I've seen it too many times in my field. In a school setting, a student would use this approach to ask me why I'm failing them. In this situation you've given me a subject." He slowly walked back up towards Tom, still keeping his distance but enough to keep his tone down from disturbing others. Bringing his hand up close he turned his hand to leave his palm facing upward; his hand indirectly pointing towards the VDA. "What are you looking for? I can't help you if there isn't an article to your question."

Tom shook his head. "Oh, no record to speak of at all. I should hope that no one had even caught word of me yet. I did say that I came here recently. I have no intention of getting one either." Tom turned fully around and leaned forward a little. "Subject: the VDA. Article: vampires. Looking for: information. Now, the question I wanted to ask...how did you make it into the VDA?" He was taking a big risk. But he was in to deep now. Auransky

mintedstar/fur He listened now crossing his arms, bracing for whatever question may arise. This guy wanted something, and he really didn't have the answers should it be something to some sort of past relation to the VDA. He only arrived to America for this job less then a month ago, so getting used to everything was bizarre. Seeing Tom lean in a little, he stood his ground remaining firm and silent to listen carefuly to Tom's words. He paid close attention to tone, articulation, and any sign of body movements during the information being exchanged. Ah, that question..... so I did read him like a book....oh boy...He remained silent for a brief moment, taking slow steady breaths, as he processed the words carefully. It was rather direct, and this guy wasn't joking. Vampire... unless he encountered one? This man must be something other then human.... damn this restriction limiting all my senses...He tilted his head slightly, just to leave it hanging on the side. "I-I think I herd you correctly..." He softly began, his bright green gaze still processing the words recently spoken. "You said Vampire? A-As in the creatures of the night like in fiction, and movies? Those that drink blood for survival, and have better senses then I dunno just about anyone of us?" He raised a brow now. He was able to answer calmly, keeping his heart rate normal under the surprising words that had just dropped like water. These words would have put him on edge, but he was used to teaching for so many years that this was something he could casually hide under the rug. He coughed slightly now, covering his mouth, to clear his throat, "The closest thing to a Vampire would be Vlad the Impaler. Other then that, I couldn't tell you where to find one." He calmly lied through the grits of his teeth. He paused now, "How did I make it into the VDA?" He repeated softly, then tapped the side of his cheek with his index finger, "Well-I got lost in town again..." He admitted. "Found my way with the help of one of their employees, and they led me back here. Gave me some more details about the city, and well-we started discussing my field, and before you realize it we were there speaking for a little over an hour. Discussed some old stuff, they let me see some things. Gave me some places to check out in the city for historic observation, and now I'm here having a rather wide discussions with the person whom has been watching me from the start." He let out a rather disappointed sight. He turned his head to the side looking down, "Ya, I'm going to admit it now. I knew you saw me from the start. Being a small town boy, I have these things called insecurities. Big cities set me off." He admitted with an ashamed tone.

Auransky Who does he think he's fooling? wondered Tom, a little nonplussed. Himself, probably. He straightened. This tense nature was very, very unusual for him. He tried to breath, letting the tension out. He visibly relaxed and it showed in his voice. "Ah, Vlad. Nice chap when you get to know him. As I said, sorry to waste your time. You had just started a conversation that held a spark of truth, but now," he shrugged. "If what you said before was true, then I must have hit a nerve. You said, and I quote: 'I will gladly simply tell you the truth and that truth is I just can't.'" Tom wondered what secrets this fellow held. But he was very definitely trying to figure out the same thing about him. He wondered if he should offer a bit of information, like he had with the girl. But it was probably different for this person. That probably wasn't a way to find things out. (Here I am, going out of character again. I seem to be better at developing a character as I go along than starting from a certain point and going from there. Tom is supposed to be a lot more clear headed than this.)

Celestia said towards Derrick as she leaned back into her car seat with a slight smirk on her lips. "We can pick them up early, Daimian might argue over the shotgun seat though..." "What?!" ((I am apologizing now for throwing you off game. The whole "prologue" role-play with Feather was created to edge up both of our characters. We also ended up screwing a little with Rowlin...a bit too much at our conclusion of the outcome. So his personality is somewhat on the multiple personality disorder, but it's not. )) (BUT YES! I do understand the pain of creating a personality, then going off.)) mintedstar/fur Rowlin leaned back a little, resting an arm along his messenger bag. "Vlad was never my type...." He admitted with a sigh. "You don't have to apologize-you didn't waste my time. In a way I'm glad." He small smile of hope returned to his expression, he was forcing himself to return emotion into his voice, the last thing he wanted was to be electrocuted in public. But a part of him, wanted to place this man before him, Tom... he wanted to place Tom on that floor and just directly force the answers out of him. "I told you the truth though." He replied to the next statement. "I have a knack for getting lost in places I'm not too familiar with. I've lived in EU my entire life, so America is one of thee most mysterious of places. I was using a quarter to lead me through town a week ago, had it not been for a nice girl whom helped me out with this paper map." he took out a laminated napkin from his pocket, "Sounds crazy...laminating a napkin, but I've surprised myself further." He shrugged the idea off. "Then there's this list of restaurants to check out." He slipped out another sheet of paper this time from his messenger bag. "This is the list provided by the VDA, good places to dine on." He held it out on clear view. He sighed putting the two papers away, "I've grown up in Ireland, the few times I've gone to London, Spain or France made me feel a little uncomfortable. After nearly getting jumped by a group in Australia, I sorta have lost my cool when it comes to big cities like these. I feel watched everywhere, and my therapist just thought it would be a great idea to transfer out here to get over the little wack of people watching my every move to basically harm me in some way."

featherlegDerrick shrunk now in embarrassment. "O-Off course, Moma is the greatest." He softly replied as he looked directly at the road. "I-It's not that you are a scary general, it's that you are the general of the house." He admitted his thoughts to the two. "Let's be honest, something goes horribly wrong:we all start running in circles and you tell us what to do." He turned at the next junction, glimpsing over towards Celesta every now and then. Perhaps he was exagerating a little, but in a way he saw it as truth. She will take charge when seen fit, and sometimes he couldn't bare to find himself giving her orders. Perhaps at first it was easy, but as time passed, he found it most difficult to personally task her with things. "Pft-Damian needs to learn that sharing is caring. If anything else, he can sit in the back and pretend he's being driven around town or something." He considered hypothetically. "Kai on the other end... well..." He now wondered then bit his tongue, "Boys be boys!" He added lastly. "They both sit in the back and that's that." He made up his mind firmly nodding at the thought.

(Oh, not that. You didn't throw me off. XD I really like what I've seen of Rowlin so far. My character just wont do what he should in this situation. Ah well. Maybe I can rewrite my descriptions for Tom and Eveline. ) (I just love adapting and changing my characters, so when I write something into the 'personality' section of a joining form I often times have a hard time with sticking to it. I think I know how my character will act in a situation and than they end up going from their predetermined personality.)
Tom considered Rowlin's words, tilting his head every now and again to show he was listening. The VDA officer was clearly trying to stay calm. But what he was saying interested the vampire enough that he was silent for a little. Then he nodded once and decided he'd might as well offer as much information as he had offered Lily. "That fire I mentioned, a little time ago when we both weren't trying to extract information from each other...it was the Great Fire of London." There. If Rowlin hadn't clearly guessed what he was by now, that should tell him. Something flited into Tom's head slowly. This place, a big city? Well, things had changed in the last hundred years.

mintedstar/fur Rowlin was calm in terms of being alive, what he was more concerned about, was himself: the way he noticed his emotion fleeing his tone. That would lead to electrocution by his restraints. "Sunday September 2nd, through Wednesday September 5th, 1666.." He quickly recognized the date to the event in time. He shifted his lean to the other direction now, closing his eyes briefly, "Oh dear... that was a brutal week. Panic, horror, and screams. What appears to be an accident to the average eye, is seen as a motive to the always knit greedy historians. Yes..." He paused to inhale through his nose, "THe smell of burning, not just things but people too-" He slowly opened his eyes, his eyes darkening to the events of horror. "No help was that Thomas Bloodworth.... in fact it's almost safe to assme that he was driven by greed." He waved a casual hand now, "Such times, of which King Charles feared too. Aye, what a bloody week that was..." His shoulders relaxed, "Clearly you wont take my poor excuse for senses as truth..." he shook his head at the thought. "But I am a teacher of history. Transferred out here, but I do have a second profession of sorts-" He sorta tilted his head over towards the VDA building, "I came here under direct orders from M15...." He shrugged now at the thought. "You think VDA is bad, try the international level of a VDA."

Auransky(Had to reread that before I managed to get this post in order. So it took a little longer, oops.) "Sounds like you have experance," said Tom with a humph. But he didn't say what part of Rowlin's statement he was referring to. This was because it honestly referred to all of it. "You weren't hanging around back then," he asked. He meant 1666. Tom leaned onto his heals then rolled onto his toes. This made him move in a sort of rocking motion and he crossed his arms and he listened. "Can't say I have much dealing with M15 either. Though, I have never considered VDA bad either. Simply the other side of a coin. Though I know some who would disagree with me." He seemed completely unaware of the emotion that was leaving Rowlin's words. He had no awareness of what that would mean either.

mintedstar/fur (sorry!I'm getting a little tired. Replies might jump a little from here on out. xD) "To an extent you could say I have experience." He nodded slowly, recalling the year. But he wasn't about to admit it either. He returned his arm to his messenger bag, now tapping the side lightly to keep himself occupied. "Consider it a very detailed history course on the fall of London. It was detailed to the point that you could just smell the burn." "M15 really isn't looking into anything of sorts, they just thought I needed a change of pace. They wanted me to explore the world, since I'm so young and full of life." He shrugged this time a very deep breath to emphasize it clear as day. "Apparently apprehending a target midair is considered cooped up at home. Sure I jumped out of that plane without a parachute, but I did share with my Target. We landed safely, I saw no issues-" His calmness had returned in his physical aspect but he spoke with a tiny thread of emotion in his tone. O-Oh no... He signaled Tom t follow, "I want to continue this talk-things got interesting... but first I need to check something out. Preferably an empty ally where people may rarely go through at this hour." Turning his head back to see Tom at a glance, "I'll take any suggestions right about now-take lead I insist-" He gripped his messenger bag tightly with both hands along the strap. He kept a calm expression up front, but the rest of him was wanting to collapse.

Auransky( There is no need to be sorry. ) "Yah," said Tom dryly. "I think I smelled the burning too. Must have been a really realistic history lesson." Then Rowlin seemed to take a turn for the worse and Tom finally picked up the little hints. "Uh, right, an alley," he said rather stupidly. The words click. "Oh! Okay!" He grabbed Rowlin by his messenger bag and started to pull him out of the gate that surrounded the Café. Someone tried to approach them about a check, but Tom just turned, looked at them, then tossed them his wallet. They seemed happy about that at least. Tom kicked the gate open and pulled Rowlin swiftly down the street and around the corner. Only then did he say, "I'll ask about this later." The vampire shoved Rowlin behind a car and down a deserted alley. After that, Tom backed up a few paces and looked around to see where he was. "Hope this works for you, it's been a long time since I've been here."

mintedstar/fur(LOL OKAY!) Rowlin nodded slowly now in agreement, "Yes burning has quite a distinct smell. I think we're both about to recall it." He spoke in a more obvious monotone voice. He blinked seeing Tom now drag him along, this was the last thing he pictured, when being taken into an obsolete area in the city. Despite this, he willingly followed, keeping up with Tom to avoid being slowed down. Seeing the gate he tried to distract himself, yet gripped the straps to his messenger bag even tighter then before. Had that been a person, he probably would have suffocated them to death. His eyes quickly skimmed the area, the car was convenient, and it really did appear empty. "Y-You can ask-but first just assure I'm still awake after this.." He stated in bitter pain, "A-And...if you smell something cooking-i-it's probably-" He let out a scream as sparks flew out of his wrists, underneath his long sleeved shirt were two bracelets, each on one wrist. The sparks amplified, shocking him to the point that a blue glow illuminated his physical figure, indicating the continuous shock. How he dreaded these restraints, how he dreaded them so. But he couldn't remove them, nor could anything in existence. Vampires, magic users, humans, he challenged them all to help him remove the restraints, but all fail just the same. He collapsed in pain, the shock continuing, through him at a constant rate.

"...you," finished Tom in shock. He stared on as the events played out. This was amazing. It was scary and he was half worried for Rowlin's safety. But he knew full well what Rowlin was. So this, whatever this was, shouldn't kill him. But it looked like an awful punishment. Or a restraint. But which... and why? He circled Rowlin at a safe distance. Tom wasn't sure if he should help or not or even if he could. Was there any spell he could use? Was it worth it if it would reveal that he was a Betrayed? He raised a hand, though he was hesitant and not sure what he would do. Auransky
