Rosestar (Haha, I mean I'm not saying it's a baaaaddd idea, but like, he could?) A smile spread across her lips as she finally relaxed. "Thank you for listening. We'll keep you update on anything we find here, alright?" All she could do at this point was hope he would actually stay home. Maybe Zeus would keep him locked down until they needed him? Especially considering what had just happened. (Haha, he's too confused right now, sadly XD) Dalton nodded. "Gotcha. Well, as long as I'm here, can I do anything? I don't mean anything big, but if you need me to sign paperwork or something, I'm here anyway." he said, shrugging. He was happy to see Aika was smiling again, but he was still unsure. That would have to change.

Seeing him fall to his knees, she dropped down out of her bed and helped him back up onto his original stance while calling for Celestia. The door quickly flung open, and just as quickly she was at his side. Her arms tucked under Derricks as she pulled his weight onto her, one of her hands tangled into his hair while the other rubbed his back. "I've got you darling, you're okay now." She whispered in his ear as she looked over at Aika. "He'll be alright, don't you worry. Just clean up and rest." Aika nodded as she sat back on her bed, her eyes filling with tears. Carefully, she pulled Derrick off the ground and walked him into the living room. "How well can you walk? I can teleport us to your arm if you'd like, it wouldn't take long." Auransky

Aika shook her head as she pulled her hand away from his, a slight blush starting to burn into her cheeks. "N-No, you're fine. I'll ask James to take you home. It would be best if you didn't drive." She stood up and made her way over to the door, waiting to see if he had anything left to say before she left the room. Rosestar(Haha true true)

He noticed Celestia take him against her side; he smiled slightly, but his thoughts were clouding his decency. "Forgive me.." He whispered back to her. Once he was out in the living room, with the assistance of celestia he weakly smiled. "thank you for the offer but I think I'll make it." He took in a deep breath then stumbled himself to get a grip on the ground. "All good.." He assured, while he took one step forward, but kept close to her. His eyes continued to show obvious fear. "I-I'm alright-I just had something unpleasant surface is all." He admitted. W-Why did I let myself subcome to memories like that, n-now the princess is worried. That was the last thing I wanted, dammit!

And you know..." he stopped for a minute, and turned around in his chair to look at her again. "You don't have to like, be nervous to talk to me about something like this. Or anything. It's something I really needed to hear. I mean..." He started to chuckle in embarrassment, adjusting his glasses slightly. "Well, I don't entirely know what I mean. But thank you. It means a lot that you care." Well, hopefully she assumed that was just the fever talking and he could leave without making a fool of himself further. He blushed, just enough for her to notice, sadly.

Shaking her head, she held her hand out and whispered in the same language Aika used with her magic, but this time it sounded much more natural. Tracing a glyph in the air, in quickly illuminated beneath them before a light gust of wind swirled around them. With a surge of energy, they were suddenly in Derricks cabin. Celestia clutched onto him, knowing he would be even more exhausted than he already was, and lead him back to his bed. Leaning him back onto the mattress, she finally saw the look in his eyes. "H-Hey, it's going to be alright. I'm right here darling." She hand gentle intertwined with his while other cupped his cheek. Auransky

A fit of small, nervous laughter came from her as she turned to face him. "I'm well aware, Dalton." Her eyes caught the red that frames his face before she turned back towards the door, a small jolt rushing through her heart. "I-It's not a problem, really. I'll see you later." She pulled the door open and walked quickly to where James was, trying her best to ignore the heat that was rising in her cheeks. Rosestar

"How'd it go? He didn't storm out, so that seemed like a good first step. Hey, are you okay?" James asked before he could stop himself. It should have been obvious that she was just blushing, but in the worry of Dalton's illness, the question jumped out of him. "You know what? I shouldn't have asked. Do you need something from me?" he finally stammered, now his turn to blush, and as usual, his was the most prominent of anyone on the team.

featherleg (That last post was made in the dairy parking lot. I got home, saw it with auto correct all over the place and was like Q.Q )) Derrick felt light on his feet for a brief moment, perhaps because he wasn't used to anything magic related of the sorts. He has worked with all sorts of individuals, but never at this close proximity. He blinked in surprise to see where they were; his quarters. With Celestia's help; back onto his bed he rested his two hands against his bed to get a feeling back in him. He looked backed over at Celestia, "I-I am so sorry.." He apologized now, but seeing her gaze meet his and his hand now intertwining with hers he shed a tear. It was with his free hand that he pulled her into gently into a bear hug, "I did not think I would collapse like that; I tell myself that it is normal,a nd I usually believe it.." He whispered softly. "B-But this time, I saw -no I felt that night; the knight where entire unit was dragged to their graves; where death laughed at its loudest, and how they proudly claimed the Princess would be next-after assuring Vincent was-I-I just cannot, cannot stop repeating that-the pain from the princesses' fang, it was as painful as that night." He relaxed his grasp on Celestia, for when she pulled away. "We had the upper hand, and-someone within our ranks; they knew. Someone sold us out, they reflected everything we threw. Not even our exclusive unit was a match-"

She listened silently as her hand that was on his cheek hooked under his arm to rest on his back. Once he relaxed his grip on her, she pulled herself up and wiped away his tears with her thumb. "Don't apologize Derrick. If anything I should be apologizing for making you relive that pain." Her voice was soft as she lightly smiled. "Whomever brought you this pain, we'll find them, I promise. We'll make sure Vincent didn't pass in vain." Cautiously, her fingers brushed over where four faint bite marks were, her eyes blurring. "I'll find a way to make sure this doesn't happen again. You shouldn't have to endure this type of pain if it brings you to this." (Oh no! It was a fine post regardless though Also these two are giving me the feels Q~Q ) Auransky

"Great, thanks James." She leaned up against the counter as she finished her water, but still kept her grip on her cup as she tried to reason what had just happened. Why did she grab his hand? And why did she hold it for so long?? What was with that nervous laughter??? Her mind scrambled to find answers as she spaced out. Rosestar

((xD Looks like the feels are flying all over the place. )) featherleg Derrick took in a deep breath to catch his breath, hearing her apologizing after he apologized; he couldn't help but shake his head now. "N-No don't feel bad!" He quickly scrambled his words. "I-I didn't expect myself to see such thoughts; I-I haven't been placed in this situation for a while. T-The last time I let another feed was not too long before Vincent's death." He sighed now. "I-I just see today's topics, conversations, and the forest to be a little to forceful." He softly admitted. "It has been on my mind recent, so where else would my thoughts run to?" He tilted his head a little. "But do not regret" He assured her now, his tone returning to its mellow normality. "I do not regret what I did tonight; i will never regret those I have assisted yesterday, and I shall not regret those I assist tomorrow." He paused now for a moment to think. "I will assure his efforts wont fall in vain, we will find the one responsible; and this war will end through our efforts." He smiled weakly once more, "If we had not brought up Vincent in the first place, I perhaps would not have felt such recent horrors." He lightly considered, "But-enough of that, I thank you for your company. I appreciate you by my side, and I especially appreciate you still living strong. Tsk, certainly stronger then this child whom sits before you." He chuckled lightly.

James offered when he entered in the office again. Dalton had since regained his composure, and smiled weakly at his friend. "I don't know how much good it'll do me, but you know I can't resist a latte." He got to his feet and took the drink from him with relative ease, though he didn't move from that point, even if it made more sense to sit in a chair or help James with the rest of the drinks. Luckily James was fine, and placed eat coffee on each person's desk. "Whenever you're ready, I'll be driving you home. Was there something you need to take care of before that?" "Nah, I think Aika said all she needed to say, and I'm sure Naomi will be happy to have a break from me for the next few days." He joked. "I'm good whenever you are." he said, tossing him the keys to his car. "Can't believe the great James North has been reduced to nothing but a chauffeur." "Shush you."

Celestia nodded as her gaze dropped. "I didn't know that..."Her hands fumbled with the sheets that were on his bed. It had been almost four months since she last saw him, and though she heard of Vincent's passing, she had no idea Derrick was there during the incident. A defeated sigh escaped her lips at his comment on his service. "I know you'll continue to serve like you have, I just wish some parts weren't needed." She wiped her eyes as her voice cracked. "I'm only as strong as I am because I have people like you to rely and trust in." Auransky

Making sure no one else was in the room, Aika took out the small, red string she carried in her pocket and tied it between her fingers. featherlegDerrick leaned forward a bit, "There is i no way you wouldn't have known...." He softly replied. "We have not seen each other for a while, so don't fret." He assured her softly. "I was being reassigned a little before that incident, so we were going to part ways; yet before that happened the incident occurred; and it left a question that still needs answering. The question it bothers me not, but the fact that I can say for sure that we had a traitor among the ranks. That just threw me into a rage for a nearly a week." He sighed. "I just regret knowing that the person who sold us out, who sold our princess out; I regret knowing they are probably most alive and perhaps walking in a different group, or they are dead. Or living in luxury in the other team." He considered. He now shook his head, "I should be relaxing here, and enjoy my night. I am here, our group made it safely, and-you two. You are here safe and sound." His tone lit up. "Seeing you is what is making my day all the better." He nodded now. "I trust you with my life, and...I'm glad you can trust me." He nodded now.

Maybe it was a trick of the light? No no, James remembered seeing it before and it was gold. Not normal. He pocketed it, looking at Dalton in suspicion, unsure how to bring up his key chain changing colors. I'll ask Aika about it when I get back. Could have something to do with that Gen 1 bond she was mentioning.

(Oops, super sorry for the late reply. I lost this in my bookmarks and forgot to post.) Tom thought for a second. He didn't know of anyone that was still alive that he could trust, except Eveline. And it was unlikely she knew that cowardly vampire. But, he could ask this. "Would you turn me in?" he asked. Such a simple question. It admitted so much, and placed trust. But it also broke so many secrets that were in the way. And, Tom knew, he could escape if he needed. Lily paused for a moment, caught off guard at the openness of his question. "The way I see it, I don't think the VDA has much use for a car salesman." She finally said, not voicing that she didn't think many people would take her seriously anyway. "No, I wouldn't turn you in." Lily added for clarification. Now this was exciting. If you had told Lily this morning she'd be making secret deals with vampires, Lily wouldn't believe you one bit. As if reading her mind, Tom contradicted her. "I'm not a vampire, by the way," he said. It was not really true, but it was a little more complicated then that. "I'm a witch," he said. Also not really true. He was caught between a vampire and a witch, it seemed. It was what some people called the Betrayed. And Tom was not willing to be caught by the VDA for them to try and figure out what he was. It wasn't the best idea to voice that he was a witch, either. As he'd been rather we know years and years ago. When this town was very different and the VDA wasn't so strong. But even though that had been years ago, his name might still be recognized.

"I guess you're right." She nodded considerably as she reviewed what she was doing during that time. More than likely she would have be with Ryoma's forces in the south, meaning contact was extremely limited. "Do you think whoever betrayed us could still be around? People can easily disguise themselves if they know the right people.." She shook her head of the thought. If the traitor was still here, he would have found them. A bashful smile crossed her lips as he commented on her presence. "I'm glad I can bring you such comfort. I trust you with my life as well, just as I always have." Auransky

"You're right about that." Her brows raised with a rather accepting manner. "Maybe I've considered the consequences and responsibilities of my actions too much. Enough of that though, thank you for helping me brother." She placed her hands on his upper arms and gave them a light squeeze, the stone cold look she usually maintained her eyes only now melting with a look of familiar warmth and content. "Not a problem," Lucas said as a slight smile crossed his face. This had taken his mind of feeling like a mess and a terrible person overall, and for that he was thankful. "That's what family's for."

featherleg((Ugh homework Q.Q Will you never end.... Anywhoo; where to now, story wise. )) Derrick nodded then looked away briefly, "I am not sure if that individual is still around. I only arrived to this camp this morning myself." He added then turned his attention back to Celestia. "While the possibility of disguise is in the matter, I'm certain that sooner of later we may find out as to whether the traitor lived, or died." He leaned back a bit once again, he was like a child who could not sit still at this point. "I look forward to working alongside you, and despite the events of recent; please do not hesitate for assistance. Aika made her way over to one of the training rooms downstairs. Since there was no paperwork to be done, she figured she might as well get some exercise in. Elizabeth would probably want her to start training for next week, considering she would want her in the palace, armed and armored as soon as possible. Bow training, she thought, would be best to start with to help with her accuracy. 'She's been at the place too long.' Frustrated, Nariko pushed her helmet visor down and drive her motorcycle over to the car lot, scanning the premise of Lily. "HEY!" She yelled across the lot to her. "WE'RE GOING TO BE LATE, HURRY UP!" Car deals never took this long with Lily, so what was wrong? Rosestar
