(I'm already liking these two together ^^ ) "I know." She smiled back at him, but in a much weaker and humble manner than her usual display. Turning her gaze back to Aika, she started unpacking her bag next to her to continue the treatment. While stitching could help aid the wound, magic was needed to heal it completely. Auransky

((Same!)) featherleg Derrick reached out gently, and placed his hand on Celestia's cheek. He smiled back at her with a softened gaze in his dark gaze. "War is never easy, but you can always make experiences through your own efforts. Smiling and keeping upright is always something a soldier seeks as relief; knowing that people they are fighting to protect are living better or in the least safer. At the same time, do not be afraid to release that smile; we are no perfect beings. We all feel, hurt and grieve, therefore try not to hold your sorrows to yourself; that only weigh you down." He slowly removed his hand from her cheek. "As soon as she awakes do let me know." He now stood up and stretched back a bit. "I shall return, but do not hesitate nor feel bad; this is the way of life and I am willing to die for this cause." He made a circular motion wave, "With that I am off, rest well fair Celestia." He turned then headed for the door, as silent as possible to not awake Aika.

She leaned into his hold as she listened to him and then returned to his gaze once he stood up. Her hand waved back in a similar fashion, except small waves of fire danced between her fingers before vanhishing into the air. Once he had left, she sighed contently to herself. "Might as well get started then." Gathering the princess from the cot she had been laid on, she placed her into her bed and began to quietly refurnish and clean the cabin, making sure to reposition and place items and furniture to where she saw fit. She then returned to Aika's side and propped her up so she could start healing her shoulder wound. "To think this is the wound that started it all...." She muttered as she summoned a warm, gold light around her hand and pressed it into the wound. "At least you brought me home, or what's left of it." Auransky

featherleg((Directions, skips, or just anything in mind? o/ )) Once outside, Derrick gently tugged on his horse's reign to follow. He led the horse along the camp, and was surprised to find the knights all grouped up. He could hear voices, but as one spoted him it all fell silent. He sighed, closing his eyes briefly to pretend the view was a dream; before making a stop then releasing the horse's reign. "You all have questions, and I am here to relieve you of your worries." Derrick started. "To make it easier I will ask you questions, and I will take a finger in the air for yes, and two fingers for no." Seeing mutters and nods between the group he regained his posture then numbered the questions with his fingers. "First, you would like to know what the beast was. Secondly, you would like to know where it came from. Third, you seek to know of its origin. Fourth you would like to know if you have been infected with malaria, and lastly you all worry for the princess and wish to hear her condition?" Seeing every question agreed too, he he took in a deep breath before beginning his report. "Listen well for I will only say it once." He said firmly. "That beast was a native wolf species, with that it is a local. The creatures tend to keep their distance from us and hunt their natural resources; for this reason we tell you all direct orders to to follow them by the book. They only attack as a sign of defense, or in other instances when they are starved of their own resources. We have yet to figure out what has set off this attack, but we will ask you all to keep weary for one another. Now this sounds too dream like; and perhaps it does. We learn of these creatures through the books of myth, hence we awknowledge and keep respect wherever we may go. Every country has its own beliefs, and mythical ways; when has fate not given us a normal day? Nonetheless, you don't have malaria, this is real as our lives. You can die to them as you may die to an enemy soldier. Now with that in mind we can also include the possibility of our enemies using the myths of the locals to access black magic which may be used to create or curse people of innocents. It all depends." He paused to allow murmurs to flow through. "The final answer you all seek comes from our Princess, and I assure you she is fine. I do ask you keep your distance as she needs rest and time to rethink our strategic approach. Until she is fit enough to return to duty Lady Celestia, and myself shall take all requests, questions, and orders. Ah-" He waved a finger, "But fear not we have our strategist here to assist so he too will be open to your questions." He extended his arms out in an inviting gesture, "With that in mind what questions remain?" Rowlin had made it for the stable, he removed everything off his horse then proceeded to grooming, his companion. He was still thinking over everything that had just happened; as well as everything that had occurred all day in general. "Vampiric courts.... fangs, and eyes..." He softly muttered to himself. This was something he had never considered nor encountered anyone for even a hypothetical talk.

(We'll skip to a few hours later. Also great job with all your characters!!) After healing what she could, Celestia sat back in her chair as she felt the mental and physical exhaustion hit her. She took in a deep breath as she rolled her sleeves up and lazily braided her hair into a French braid. For the most part, the night had been quiet. There had been no knocks at the door thanks to what she assumed was Derricks handy work. Her eyes almost closed before she jolted up to see Aika's eyes open at a painstakingly slow rate. "Celestia, is that you?" She muttered weakly as she held her hand out to her. "Yes, it's me dear friend. We're safe thanks to you." Aika nodded as she stared up at the ceiling, trying to focus on a single thing to get her vision restored. "You need to rest. I'll be right back, alright?" She patted her hand before grabbing her cloak and exiting the cabin. While she didn't necessarily need her cloak, she knew Derrick would worry the moment he saw her about her catching cold. She chuckled at the thought as she made her way over to what she assumed would be his cabin, since it was one of the closer and smaller ones in the camp. Her knuckle lightly tapped against the door as she waited for an answer. Auransky

featherleg (xD Thanks, I am enjoying your characters; for something we just said "we'll start here, and go from there" It's really engaging. xD )) Derrick was in his room reading over a paper he had picked up in a town before arriving to the camp. He was completely relaxed; just letting the day full of stress leave his mindset. He had completely removed his armor since then and now wore simple leggings with a white cotton shirt. Hearing the knock caught his attention, "One moment-" He said then quickly slid off his bed and walked over to the door, opening it cautiously. Seeing Celestia he blinked like a clueless child, "A-Ah-Good evening. I-Is it time, or-are you wishing to switch turns?" He raised a curious brow.

(Thanks! Haha yeah, it's interesting to see the character development for everyone.) Celestia held back her laughter as she covered her mouth with her hands. "Y-You're blubbering like a child!" She said in a giggle as she tried to straighten herself out. "She's up now, still in a haze with what's happened. Figured I'd grab you now when everyone else was asleep." Her hands dropped from her face as they crossed over her chest. Auransky

"Of course, of course. I'll... Go get some coffee of something." James didn't mean at all, but whatever was happening was probably important. He skittered out of the room, ready to leave them be, but he paused at the door. "I'll be nearby if you need anything," he said, unsure which of his friends would need it more. Aika nodded towards him as he left the room before she turned towards Dalton. Her heart felt heavy just looking at him, knowing that she was solely responsible for what was happening to him, and yet she could do nothing but try to hold him back from his worst enemy: himself. "Dalton, I'm saying this not as your secretary, but as a friend who deeply cares for you: you need to stop pushing yourself to the brink. What you're doing isn't healthy and it's.....it's scaring me. You know your limits and yet...you won't listen to us." Rosestar Dalton's eyes flashed for a moment, about to wave the note at her in protest, trying to get across just why they needed to act fast, no matter what condition he was in. As if she doesn't already know that, he thought, and his bristling died down, only to sigh and look away. Not quite in shame or embarrassment, though his ears were turning pink. Of course Aika would be the one to confront him about it. James was too nice, Naomi, not as close. Just when he was thinking she always knew what he needed, she was there to tell him the one thing he didn't want to hear right now. Suddenly, his head was hurting again. A young Aika, giving him the same kind of advice... He shook his head, trying to clear it out of him. These random flashes of whatever it was, blood magic? Just some hallucinations? Well, either way, it wasn't helping him, or his team, or anyone. Unbeknownst to him, a gold, circular key chain he kept in his car flashed, and began to turn the slightest shade of dark red. "This isn't just about Oliver, is it?" he finally said, still unable to met her eyes.

He raised a brow as he laughed towards her giggles. "Good eye, you just saved my life." He leaned forward with a cheesy wink. Seeing her straighten up, he too back up to straighten himself up. "As per usual, I shall escort you from here to there, so take lead and I follow while I keep a keen eye out for anything that, say hmmm jumps out." He waved a strict finger.

"Look I.....I've never been to the palace but.." She took in a deep breath as her hands gripped onto her arms, "I know what could be in there. This isnt going off of reports, I'm talking from my own experiences with what the Vampiric Court holds. From what you've told us, you encountered a Gen. One vampire and upon that encounter something happened to you. If what I remember is true, you're either tethered or bond in some way to that person and because you've met them in the conditions you did, it's left you like this." Without much thought she reached out and grabbed his hand and held to it tightly. "For better or for worse that person has a hold on you that we don't understand. I...don't want to loose you to that. Either by their own doing or yours." Normally she would let her walls down like this, but she needed to at this point. If she tried to bring him to rest by any means that wasn't human in nature, she would break her promise to him she made all those years back. Rosestar

Her eyes surveyed the camp as they walked together, taking note of how much destruction her home had taken in the past year. "I think I got her wounds to heal finally. Wish she'd stop being so stubborn about things like that. I know she's trying to prove herself but it would help if she trusted a bit more in us." Auransky

Lit up that flame and be ready for battle tomorrow." He followed her for Aika's Cabin. He kept an eye out and about, "That's good news, she will be well in no time then." He let out a relief, "But-" He paused now,"I cannot blame her for being stubborn. The position she is in; that carries a burden. Hence; she is trying her best to keep a front, but I anyone who has seen death time and time can tell; she holds a face of fear. Though not noticable it is there." He stated in a calming tone. His voice trailed off for a moment as he gazed out almost spacing out by his own words. Just like Vincent did...

Going off of the reports or not, he trusted Aika. He had made that decision when she first joined the team, and very little had happened since to shake his faith in her. If she said something had happened to him, she was probably right. Even he gad to admit he was acting strange. But still... "I've never heard of anything like that before," he said, almost to himself, until she took his hands in hers. It was sincere, and so unlike her, but then again, so was what was happening to them. No part of this was in the norm, but at least they had each other. No, at least Dalton had her, to keep him grounded. He finally looked up, his bright blue eyes showing the fear and trust that the calm mask of his face could not betray. "Believe me, I don't want this any more than you do. So how can we fix it?" he asked, voice still meek, but for some reason, some of his strength was returning to him, even if only for a moment.

To assist you in rebuilding this place you consider sacred; and we can perhaps bring back the life that once roamed these streets." "I would like nothing more than that." She commented quietly to him as she peaked her head around the corner to where Aika's room was. "I'll be out here, I left the bell in there should you need help." Celestia took a seat in what was the living room area, and while she tried to maintain a calm composure, it was easy to see that she was afraid of what he was about to go through. She would trade places with him easily, but it was law that vampires could not feed off of those whose blood ran with magic. The results never ended well from what Celestia knew, and she wasn't going to risk if. Auransky

He knocked lightly as a polite entry then approached where Aika was. "My lady, I am here to assist in your needs." He politely approached the bed and knelt down in respect. "What are your wishes?" Aika carefully pulled herself up. While she was feeling better, the pressure she felt in her body was growing. She looked down at Derrick before frowning to herself. "I do not wish to harm you, Derrick, but you know what needs to be done." He was glad she was still holding onto him, otherwise he might not have had the courage to say what he needed to. "No offense Aika, but right now I don't exactly trust my instincts right now." His instincts were the problem- he kept jumping into things, and he wasn't even sure why. Not to mention the possibility of him going crazy. Dalton couldn't exactly pretend he wasn't seeing visions of young Aika at this point. Something was wrong with him, and this 'bond' with a Gen 1 vampire was only part of it.

She nodded hesitantly as she lightly placed her hands on his shoulders. "I'm sorry...." featherleg "It's alright.." Derrick whispered back. Feeling her fans go right through him he twitched a bit, but kept himself still. He closed his eyes and kept silent; he would grip his teeth roughly enduring the pain that was priecing against him. He held onto the newspaper and gripped it tightly, while closing his eyes to think of something different. At first came to mind Celestia which left him with a corner of peace, next came Celestia's description of the village; this brought more distraction to the pain. Slowly but shirly it followed by screams, and cries; a burning flame of war and agony, and finally Vincint..... N-No please.... not now... He tried to think away of the night Vincent was killed, but it just kept coming back as agonizing pain.

After what seemed like an eternity to her but just a minute in real time, she withdrew her fangs and pressed her right hand down into the wound, allowing it to heal as her hand emanated a warm glow. "Worry not, the important thing is that you are well." He started to relax. "B-But to not worry you in the slightest he collapsed to his knees from his original kneeling position. Oh dear... He blinked realizing he had lost his own balance. "I-I am fine, truly am; just memories of the past recalling the night I was separated from Vincent.." His voice had softened now, Oh my head feels slightly light, and I just-spoke my thoughts. Oh dear, Rowlin is rubbing off on me now... He wanted to stand, but he found himself unable too. Am I afraid... or-I am this tired? He blinked towards the ground now.
